Renesmee giggled a little as she was lifted into Emily's arms. "Ohh.. wow! It is pretty!" Renesmee said looking at the purple cake. She really has never seen such a think. "Look look Jake!" Renesmee said waving him over so he could see. The best part about being half a human was that she could focuses all her attention on the cake, and block out all other things. Which was basically what she was doing, she was so focused on the cake, she forgot about Jake, and forgot about him having to leave. Well she did not really hear that part. "Look at the purple cake!" Renesmee added looking back at Jake. "It's purple... do you see?" Renesmee asked yet again, the human child really showing its colors at the moment. Being a halfling, was hard enough. There was a war inside her, and she had to pick the side to be on. She could be on her physically side, or her mental side. She could act her mental age, or act her physical age, or even her real age. It was all so hard, for each part wanted its turn, yet both could not be together. Renesmee was still having a hard time finding the middle, and she often had little mood swings, trying to figure out how Independence she wanted to be that day, and today, right now, it looked as if the baby in her was winning her over. The purple cake was that extra bit to push the logical side the vampire side off to the side, letting the baby shine through a little more then it normally would. Each side of her usually kept her about right, about averaged, but it took one small thing to push her to one side or the other. Emily laughed out loud when Jake asked for a small piece of cake.
"A small piece won't keep you going if your going out on a run." Emily replied
She smiled as Nessie fawned over the cake.
"Maybe next time we can make a cake thats your favorite color." Emily told her
She felt good holding Nessie, it reminded her of her little niece Claire and her little twin whom she hadn't seen in awhile.
Emily loved children she had lived her whole life waiting to have a child but she worried that right now wasn't the best time. Sam was stressed and he didn't need to be worrying about her pregnant as well.
Emily worked on cutting the cake into slices wondering if Jake was serious about that small slice.

He laughed slightly. "Em, you know me so well." He said with a smile as he looked at Nessie and Emily, they bonded really well together, a good sign. However he knew things were going to be more complicated in the future, especially with Sam. "I think we all better be careful....and just enjoy the time we've got all under one roof because it probably won't happen very often, if things continue at this pace." He told Emily as he looked at her. He didn't want to be greedy. "I don't want to be....well I don't want to eat the entire thing Emily, that's why I said a small piece."

Emily's smile turned into a frown.
"He cannot stop me from seeing you Jake and theres no way he could keep me from seeing Nessie, right cup cake." She tickled Nessie then hugged her close. Emily was a sucker for nick names and cup cake was one of her favorites.
"Theres always picnics on the beach." Emily added with a small smile.
She put two large pieces of cake on a plate and handed it to Jake, then started putting smaller pieces on plates and leaving them on on the table.
"Would you like a piece of cake Leah?" Emily asked
Emily had Ness in one arm, she smiled down at her.
"What do you think Ness, should we see how quickly your Jake can eat the purple cake?" She asked giggling slightly

Leah was sitting back in the corner being 'a good girl' when Emily spoke up about Sam not keeping her from seeing them. "I think Jacob means, that when the Cullens more on he is going with him." Leah said shortly, which was true. When the Cullens moved on Jacob would go as well. Leah would follow along until she found a town she could stay in. Heal, move on. Be happy and try to stop phasing. Since she self rude she added on a, "Because of Ness." to try to make it 'less personal' and more 'it's not you, it's me'.

Emily frowned, "Yeah I understand that and I respect that decision. I don't like losing people I love but it happens." She wasn't directing that at Leah it was not to make her feel bad. It was just how she felt. She didn't know if she could bare losing Leah again, they had made some improvement and she clung to that. She also knew she wouldn't stop her if Leah did leave. She couldn't she no longer had that right.
"Rachael was thinking about showing up I'm not sure if shes bringing Paul or not though." Emily said to change the subject.
She sat down at the table, and held Nessie on her knee.
"You got your lovely hair from your daddy, huh." Emily smiled
She pushed out a chair with her other foot and offered it to Leah.
"Would you like to sit?" She asked
She didn't wait for her reply.
"Jake will you join us or do you need to leave already?" Emily wondered

[/size][/color] It was as if fate had summoned her. At that moment, as Emily was talking about her, Rachael was waddling (Yes, waddling) up to the fount door. Being very pregnant at the time, it was not often she got out, but a trip to Emily's was always one of her favorite times to get out. Emily and Rachael were fast becoming the best of friends and Rachael was very happy with her life.
With everything, but the being four times her normal size as she was eight months along with twins. She knocked on the door, but also opened it up and stuck her head in. "Emily?!" She called. Normal Rachael would not have just walked in but she knew today was a simi party day and she was also running late for cake. . . Rachael did so love her cake. After her mother let her out of her pink car seat she raced toward the front door.
She saw a woman waiting there and looked up at her face.
"Me Claire." She said taking the woman's hand.
She heard laughing from the back yard and began to pull the woman toward the sound.
"My auntie Emmy back yard." She explained
When she reached the back yard she stopped mid step. Her auntie Emmy was already holding a little girl. Claire waited a few seconds before smiling up at the woman she had led here.
She let go of her hand and raced toward another set of tan legs.
"Me Claire." She announced hugging her around the legs.
She had no idea that it was Leah's leg's she held onto.

Emily was shocked to see her niece Claire come around the corner holding hands with a very pregnant Rachael.
"Hello Ray, how are you?" Emily asked standing, with Nessie in one arm, to hug Rachael with the other.
"Would you like some purple cake?" She asked smiling
Rachael looked wonderful, she practically glowed.
Rachael was eight months pregnant and Emily was excited to meet the twins who would be born soon.
Emily watched as Claire ran to Leah and threw her little arms around her legs. She didn't say anything, just watched to see how Leah would react.
If Leah acted uncomfortable, she'd call her niece over to her to meet Nessie.

Renesmee and Jake were both quiet for a while. Though he knew he was being talked to, he just could not answer. "Look I have to go." Jake said looking at Renesmee for a second who was too amazed by the purple cake to notice she was being talked to as well. "I just... I have to leave. I'm sorry." And then off he ran, ran right by his sister and Clair with out so much as a Hi. He was just gone. Renesmee was still staring at the cake, when she herd a little girl speak, which confused her. She was the one who was the baby here.... So why did she hear a baby. So when she looked up at where Jacob once stood, she was surprised to see no one there. Renesmee started to frantically looked around for her Jacob, but no luck he was gone! No where in sight. "Jake-ie." Renesmee said her lower lip sticking out slightly. where... where did he go?!?! Why.. why did he not say goodbye! "No hair!" Renesmee said putting her hands on her head to cover her pretty hair. She wanted her Jacob, and she did not wanna talk about her parent's, that would just make her miss them. "Where's jack-ie?!" Renesmee demanded, little tears welling up in her eyes, as she struggled a little to get down. She wanted Leah. -She only really wanted Leah because she did not want some other kid steeping in on her territory and well Leah could turn into a wolf, and tell her where her Jack-ie went! But then again, she also did not like the kid hanging on Leah's leg. That was her job. That was what Renesmee did. Renesmee hung all over Leah, and Leah lover her for it. She did not want Leah to stop loving her and start loving this human child. She Renesmee was a little jealous of the beautiful brown little girl. The girl looked like Leah and well everyone in this room, Renesmee stood out, and she did not like that too much. Then again she always stood out in La Push. but still. Emily felt terrible when Renesmee began to get upset.
"Jake had to leave honey." Emily tried to sooth her, "Can I do something for you?"
Emily felt her try to get free from her arms and wondered if she wished to get down or if she was just upset.
"Would you like to meet Claire?" She asked hoping to distract Nessie from the fact that Jake had left.
Emily looked at her niece, wondering what was going on with her and Leah, she trusted Leah with her niece she just didn't want the little girl to bother Leah if she wasn't in the mood for her.
((Sorry about Jake Nessie, that was really unfortunate.))

She had always been upbeat, or tried to be, but lately she was glowing with pride and happiness. She greeted everyone as she came in, making sure Emily, Nessie, Claire and . . . Leah, all got their own hello, and a smile. She glanced over at Emily, to make sure everything was ok. Rachael had not known the girls when they were friends, but she was very close to Emily now, and would not be pleased if Leah was mean to her.

Leah was simi-calm and only slightly award until Jacob left her alone there (TRADER) and some kid suddenly was hugging her. Leah liked kids, sort of. She liked them and wanted them, but currently they only reminder her of how bitter she was over not being able to have any! "Yeah, me Leah." She said mocking the kid's way of bad speech then rolled her eyes and picked her up. The kid WAS sort of cute. Ok, the kid was VERY cute. Not as fun as Ness, but ya know, in her own way.
Leah knew Ness wouldn't like Jake leaving but by the time Leah could pick up Claire and move as if to take Ness from Emily, Rachael had blocked her to it. "You ok, kid?" Leah asked, wanting to make sure Ness, wasn't going to that crying thing.
When Emily suggested meeting Claire Leah held the kid up. "Yeah, wanna meet Claire?" Pausing for a moment Leah spoke again with a warning in her voice, "Just don't show her anything." Ness liked to show people things rather then talk.

When Leah picked her up she giggled and swung her feet a little.
"Claire wear pretty dress." She said and reached out to touch Leah on the nose.
"Leah pretty too." She said
When Leah held Claire out to face the other little girl, she tilted her head questioningly down at her.
She was beautiful, pale skin and a head full of red curls. She looked to Claire like a porcelain doll.
She had heard Rachael call the little girl a princess and assumed thats what she must be.
"Princess very pretty." Claire gave her a huge smile "No crown." She noticed touching her own head and then pointing to the other little girls.
Her hair had grown very long since she was little, it was half way down her back but she refused to let her mother cut it.
When she laughed her hair spilled around her face and blocked her view for a second. She pushed it out of her way and giggled.
She looked over her shoulder at Leah.
"Claire lots of hairs like Leah." She explained picking up a piece of Leah's hair and letting it sift through her fingers.
She turned back toward Emily, Rachael and the little girl.
"You live in castle? Jake you prince?" She asked
Claire wasn't stupid she could see that the little girl loved Jake, she was also very young so when Rachael called her a princess she took it literally.

Renesmee was keeping her mouth shut. She just made some little sounds, some whimpering, so little grunts, just sounds, to let everyone know she was upset and wanted to be left alone. Her mood only taking a turn for the worse when Leah picked up that other pretty little girl. "No!" Renesmee said short and to the point as soon as Leah started to talk to her. Renesmee was jealous, and it showed. Renesmee was a spoiled brat, and she knew it, but she also knew she could get away with a lot, because she was special, but that's besides the point. When Leah got closer, Renesmee pawed the air towards Leah, looking as if she would hit Leah, yet, she would never EVER lay a finger on Leah, unless they were playing. So the air took the small beating. Renesmee did not like having to share the spot light with another little girl, and to make it worse, she never really, well saw a human baby up close, and it was kinda frighting. She could not really understand the girl, not that she really wanted to, but she just hated that there was a cute little girl taking over this room. Renesmee should be fused over, the other girl should be ignored... Well not really, but... Well Renesmee was just jealous and confused. Truth be told, she has never really felt jealous before, and it was a little frighting, not knowing what it was she was feeling. Now was one of those times she wished for her father, so he could read her mind and tell her everything would be okay, and tell her why she felt the way she did. It was obvious the little girl hated her, but it wasn't like she could just leave. Her mother had driven away and two year old legs wouldn't get her very far.
When the little girl shouted "No'" and began to claw the air, Claire became scared and overwhelmed.
Her eyes grew very large and then she began to cry. She didn't want to, but being only two years old controlling your emotions was hard.
Claire wanted her aunt Emmy really badly, but the scary little girl was in her arms so that plan was shot.
She noticed that Leah, her aunt and Rachael all fawned over the other little girl and that made her stomach hurt.
If she was a princess she'd have to order Claire away because she wasn't giving up.
She felt angry and upset that the little girl was obviously the center of attention.
She turned to Leah after having stopped her crying.
"Down." She ordered and began to wiggle.
Once Leah set her down she would hide somewhere until the other girl left.
She wasn't sure if Leah would let her go. She seemed pretty smart, maybe she could make things better.
"Leah help." Claire asked her face at her most cute.

"Yeah, my hair is long." Leah said slightly confused how they got on that topic. It was also a sore spot for her (not that the kid would know) as it used to be so much longer, and as a wolf she had to cut it. Still, she was learning to control that wolf temper, and wasn't about to sap at the little girl who was trying to be friendly.
Nessie on the other hand! "Hey now, kid-o." Leah said watching the air get a busing. If Ness did that to one of these humans there would be hell to pay. Worse case, Sam freaked again and called Ness a monster and ordered his pack to kill the kid. Ness didn't know that Leah had been apart of the pack was going to kill her. Leah had also not been one of the ones who stood up and said 'this is wrong'. "I didn't tell Jake to leave, so don't take it out on me. . . or them." Leah didn't know Ness was jealous of Claire. Who, was not getting down right now, because Leah could tell the girl was scared. "I just picked you up." Leah shifted Claire up so she sat on her right shoulder and was taller then everyone. "I forgot which way was down."
[HAHA! I am know I am SO slow right now, but we should SO do a thread where Leah has to baby sit them to girls.]

Emily was a little shocked that Nessie was so angry. She personally thought it was really cute, Claire thinking her a princess and all but Nessie obviously thought differently.
"Awww Ness don't be that way. Claire's not going to hurt you." She was done treating Nessie as if she was special. Nessie was special and Emily was beginning to love the little girl but that was what she was, a little girl and it seemed to Emily she might be scared of Claire. So Emily was going to pretend for a moment that she wasn't half vampire, that she couldn't hurt her very badly if she got angry and try to as Leah had, make this situation better.
"Ness can you show me whats wrong?" She asked very gently
She knew that Nessie could touch you and show you things. She'd never had Nessie show her anything before but she knew it would be easier for Nessie to show her what was wrong than to explain what was wrong in words.
When Leah put Claire up on her shoulder Emily ducked her head to hide her smile, it was really sweet what Leah was doing.

When Leah began to talk to the other little girl she listened. She was still a little scared, unsure of how she would react to what Leah had told her.
When Leah lifted Claire to her shoulder she was shocked.
"Down there. 'Claire explained pointing to the ground, she tilted her head to the side in question.
Did Leah really not know which way was down?
Claire wrapped her arm around Leah's neck, it was safer up here than down on the ground.
When her aunt Emmy began to speak to the little girl Claire was surprised.
"Claire not hurt!" She said looking down at her own little hand and wondering how she could possibly hurt any one.
The idea made her shiver it was a scary thought.
She wanted to bury her face in Leah's hair and forget the idea all together but she just closed her eyes real tight instead.
"Claire no hurt." She whispered again
Claire had no idea that the little girl was half vampire and could do far more damage to her than the other way around.

Renesmee continued to throw a fit, complete ignoring Leah. She was very very angry at Leah. Renesmee just wanted Leah to put this other human girl down, and fuss over her, like she used to. Renesmee was quite scared that Leah liked this little girl better, and that Renesmee would be out of Leah's life forever. Which is where the anger came from. How could Leah pick this other child over her?! like really? How could Leah do such a thing?! As soon as Emily asked her to show her what was wrong, Renesmee pressed her hand to Emilys cheek, gently and let her see just what was wrong. Renesmee showed Emily how much she wanted Leah, how much she wanted Leah to put the little girl down. How much she wanted Leah to herself. She showed Leah how scared she was that Leah would leave her and never come back. She was scared that this little girl was going to take Renesmee's place, and that Renesmee would not be a special little girl anymore. Renesmee showed just how much she wanted to be on Leah's shoulder. Basically Renesmee saw Leah as her's, as her friend, and babysitter. Renesmee thought that Leah was replacing Nessie with this new little girl. She also asked Emily why she felt so strongly about this, and why she was feeling like the little girl needed to leave and never come back. Renesmee let out a little grunt ending the vision type thing and pulling her hand away and crossing her arms tight. Still quite angry, but feeling better now that Emily knew what was wrong and could tell her why she felt this way. [/color] ((Hahah! NICE! When Nessie showed Emily how she felt Emily was shocked. She never really took the time to think about how scary it was to feel something you didn't understand. Of course she must have gone through the same thing when she was little, as had most others but once you understand your feelings you seem to forget how it felt to not know.
"Oh Nessie honey don't worry. No one could ever take your place ever." She began putting feeling behind her words, "Leah loves you very much, it's easy to see that. Claire can't take your place in her heart, and neither can any one else."
Emily made her voice only a slight whisper hoping that no one else would be able to hear her but Ness, she wasn't stupid though and knew there was a high chance that Leah could hear her too.
"When I was little Leah and I were closer than sisters. Then we started schools in different towns and we both made new friends. I remember feeling so jealous of Leah's other friends! I thought that she would end up liking them more than she liked me and I got mad at her too. Then I found out that Leah and I were as close as ever and that she wished we could be together more often, like I did. That was a long time ago...but I understand how your feeling. Your feeling jealous, and scared too but you know that part. Just because the people you love meet new people, does not mean that they aren't going to love you just as much as they always have." Emily gave Nessie a little hug.
"Sometimes you have to share the people you love. I know you don't want to but thats just how life is. Claire's not going any where though Ness. Right now she's playing with Leah but I'm sure Leah's going to want to spend time with you too. Your kind of the first child Leah's taken care of, she's always going to have a special fondness for you." Emily explained
"What would you like to do? I think you've got some options here. You can stay with me, or maybe Rachael would like to hold you? If you go to Leah though you might have to share her with Claire." Emily made a face at the little girl hoping to make her laugh.
After a second she became serious again,
"I know it's hard love, believe me I do, but its something you will definitely encounter again. It's okay to be angry but anger won't always get you your way hun. Jealousy is not an emotion any one likes, I think but at least next time you won't be as afraid?" Em asked smiling slightly at Ness.
After a second Emily sighed. She certainly could talk a lot but she just wanted Nessie to feel better and to understand what was happening to her. The idea of the sweet little girl in her arms made her feel over protective and sad, but she couldn't protect any one from there own feelings. God if she only had that power. She'd have to leave that to Jasper.
Emily slid a piece of cake over to Rachael.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to forget you." she apologized
"Would you like something to drink?" She offered, "Leah do you want anything?" Emily asked
Emily patted Nessie's back gently, letting her know that she hadn't forgotten her and that she cared about her.
Who knew a little lunch with purple cake could become so eventful.

"No, Claire is not hurt." Leah explained to the kid while keeping one eye on Ness. She wasn't sure what was wrong but apparently Emily was going to find out. While Ness was 'talking' to Emily, Leah bounced her shoulder to gently jostle Claire to try to make her laugh, as a way of trying to make sure no one was afraid of Ness. The less afraid of her people were, the longer Ness could keep coming to La Push. So if Claire had a good time, then maybe everyone would put Ness in the 'kid' category, and not the monster one.
When Emily spoke out loud about 'the good old days' between them, Leah froze. It was a sudden quick movement that almost made her drop Claire. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath before starting to bounce Claire again.
Leah was learning to move past her anger, and was working on the forgiving part. It didn't mean, that she didn't feel the anger. Hell, being pissed off was part of being a wolf. You couldn't help it. Leah was still bitter over the whole thing. She was trying, and trying hard, but hearing Emily talk about it . . .
That was when it click, at WHAT Emily was saying. Ness was jealous of Claire? Leah bounced Claire but her face was more guarded as she watched Ness. "huh." Was all she said. Didn't Ness know she was Leah's only 'real' friend? Yeah yeah, she had her pack, they were stuck with her. (And if she forced her self to admit it, Emily was there for her, but they both knew Emily would pick Sam over Leah anyday,), Jasper was fun to bitch at but he wasn't Ness.
Ness and Leah had a odd friendship. There was an age difference, a race difference, and a species difference, but they got along. When Leah had went bitter and mean, she lost all her normal friends. She become a loner, because she couldn't stand to be around people. They either hated her, made her feel guilty, or worse, pitted her. Ness was to innocence to do any of that. With Ness, Leah could be how she was, before the big bad wolves took over La Push.
Speaking of feeling guilty, Leah looked at Emily, and Ness. "Well that was a deep speech." Leah said sarcastically, knowing she was being an ass but not stopping the words from her mouth. It had hurt, and she didn't want this touchy feely chat to keep going. However, to be nice she added on in a milder tone. "But good use of the analogies." WTF was that? Leah shook her head, not sure what she was saying.

Emily felt like an utter idiot. What the hell was she thinking saying something like that in front of Leah.
Emily hated herself for what she did to Leah, she couldn't believe that any body could like her after what she'd done to her.
She also tried really hard not to care. That speech wasn't for Leah, it wasn't about her at all. It was for Ness, the little girl was upset and even if Emily should have thought more before she spoke she was saying what she did to make Ness feel better not to make Leah feel angry or anything of that nature.
So she ignored Leah's remark and concentrated on Ness and the others that were there.
Truthfully every time Leah said something that was hurtful Emily knew she deserved it so she wouldn't fight what was being said. Unless Leah said something about her family, or the people she loved, she wasn't going to get mad.
She didn't know how to make things better with Leah, she would have done anything, besides give up Sam, to make her see how much she cared and how sorry she was.
It was a hopeless cause though, she felt like the abuser in an abusive relationship, hurting the one she loved most and then instantly apologizing for doing so. She knew that Leah thought she'd chose Sam over Leah if it came down to it but Emily actually refused to think of such a thing. It was like a movie she saw one time. A mother held her son in one hand and her nephew in the other, if she let go of one to save the other, that one would fall down the cliff and die. Emily could never make such a choice.
Emily put one hand over Rachael's. Rachael was overprotective of the ones she loved, as Emily was herself, and she was afraid that Rachael would try to say something to Leah. She didn't want a fight to ensue, so many events recently had included fighting. Things weren't as easy as they used to be.
She was shocked when Leah actually said something fairly nice to her. She really didn't know how to feel about that but she knew she didn't deserve an ounce of kindness from Leah.

She didn't really listen to what her aunt was saying but when Leah addressed her she thought for a moment.
Leah had said that Claire wasn't hurt. Claire knew that she just didn't want Nessie, Claire had finally picked up the little girls name, to think that she would hurt her. Maybe if Nessie knew that, she would want to be friends with Claire. Claire was a very friendly little kid and she didn't know how to react when someone down right hated her, the two little girls were both experiencing something new that day.
When Leah bounced Claire she giggled and then began to laugh forgetting what was going on and enjoying her self very much.
When Leah stopped suddenly, Claire gasped, not expecting such a quick stop to the fun.
She frowned at the seriousness, but then Leah began to tousle her again and the smile was back on her face.
When Leah began to speak to her aunt, she had no idea that it wasn't exactly as nice as Leah was being to her and she let out a happy little giggle.
Claire was so innocent, so young and far more carefree then the older people. She didn't know why they spent so much of there time being upset, things looked pretty good from her bouncy world.

Renesmee was still as she listed to Emily. She understood, but still, she did not like the explanation. Okay so she was jealous, and she hated it. She hated this feeling, and she hated that Leah was having fun with the other little girl and not her. Renesmee was now pretty much convinced that Leah had replaced her with this other girl. Renesmee really did not know or understand how to handle this... this emotion. This new emotion, in which she hated. Renesmee looked at Leah, then back to the girl. God she dis liked this girl! Who was this kid, and why WHY was she taking her Leah away?! What did Renesmee ever do to this girl?! Renesmee pressed her hand to Emily's face once more. This time she asked why, why Leah liked the other girl better. And why was this little girl even here? Quite frankly, she would have liked this girl, but she just though the little girl was taking her Leah away. Renesmee was not very good at sharing things, seeing as she never had to do that before. Yes she understood why she had to, but that did not mean she would ever willingly share, and she was not ready to give Leah up. Nope not yet. After a moment or two Renesmee pressed her hand to Emily's face once more, a little harder then before, but not hard enough to cause any kind of pain. She wanted down, and she made sure Emily knew that's what she wanted. Renesmee would go play by herself. Leave the little girl with her friends. Oh well. Renesmee still had her Jacob... who left her. Emily was surprised when Nessie put her hand to her face the first time.
"Ness, Leah loves you like crazy dear one. Claire isn't going to take your place, ever." She let her voice get quite, Claire wouldn't hear her, "Listen, Claire will never be able to measure up to you Ness. Leah is your friend because your who you are. Sweet and fun to be around. Claire can't show me whats wrong like you can, but Claire's my niece Ness thats why shes here." Emily sighed knowing she'd have to talk to Leah, she wasn't doing any good here.
When Nessie demanded to be let down, Emily sighed and tried to make eye contact with her.
"Ness we all adore you, please don't go off and hide. We want you to be here, we really do." Then Emily set her down
She felt like it was a bad idea to hold her there when she wanted to go free, but she was worried that because she was so upset she'd do something like hide somewhere and it wouldn't be as easy to find her as it was to find Claire, who giggled pretty loudly while "hiding".

Jake entered the back yard and saw the scene before him. Emily had just set Ness on the ground. Leah was holding Claire. Rachael was sitting, probably feeling a lot like Jake was, confused.
"Just got back from patrol, things look good. Seth's turn now." He commented sliding in toward Nessie.
"Hey Ness, whats going on?" He asked scooping her up into his arms and ruffling her hair a little.
He stepped forward and gave his sister a hug around the shoulders.
"You look like your about to pop." He teased
Then he lounged next to Leah and waited for Ness to explain what was happening. Things seemed, tense at best, and he wondered what could have gone on.

"No!" Was all Renesmee said once her feet were firmly on the ground. She was going to go run and hide, but well, now she would not! seeing as Emily knew her plain. Now she needed a new one, so off she walked... slowly, her head hung low, every now and then glancing back to see Leah was watching, but so far, nope! so walking, walking walking to the door, one step at a time, one sloe step after the other, looking as sad as she could. Then before she noticed anything she was being lifted in the air, and she knew just who it was "JACK-Y!" Renesmee cried wrapping her little arms around him and hugging him tight, very tight. She made herself known!! With out another moment wasted she pressed her hand to Jack's face and ran through her feeling's how she was jealous of the little girl and how much she missed her Jack-y! It was a quick little vision, but an important one. It showed Jack how she felt lonely, and unloved by Leah. And how she wished Leah would ignore the other girl, and pay full attention to her. She also made a point to tell Jack that none of it mattered anymore, seeing as he was back with her. And she was happy! Very much so. With Emily's silence Leah was felling more and more like an @$$. Especially when everyone ignored her and keep talking. Emily being nice and telling Ness that Leah loved her. Great! That made Leah look mean after her bitter comments. Leah was pulling Claire from her shoulder and tickling her so the kid would squeal and make loud sounds, in efforts to block out the words being spoken then Jacob walked in. JACOB! Finally! Someone who would understand, and get Ness to stop pouting!
When Jake came to rest beside her, Leah didn't saw anything but she relaxed some. Having one of 'her own' here somehow made it easier. A slight reminder, that this was her past, and she didn't have to live it everyday. Leah remained silent but she did keep playing with Claire. Kids were great sometimes.

Jake could tell the second Leah relaxed, he nudged her a litttle with his knee and looked at her questioningly. As if to say,
"Whats the big deal, you fight vampires, are you afaid of a little purple cake." or maybe just the "whats the big deal" part, the rest was asking a little much of just one look, even if she spent half her time hearing his thoughts and him hearing hers. When Nessie showed him what was wrong Jake sighed.
"What am I going to do with you all? I don't know why I expected to come back and find you all happy. You are all female." He was used to girl drama having grown up with his twin sisters and there friends.
He frowned a little though truly worried about Ness.
He thought for a moment about how to fix this situation.
if he switched with Leah and took Claire, Ness would be even more jealous of the little girl, so that idea was out. Maybe he would take Claire and give her to Emily and then let Ness show Leah what was wrong. No that seemed not only complicated but it also taught Ness that if she got upset enough she could have anything she wanted.
So Jake lifted Nessie until her little hand was on Leah's cheek.
"Show her whats up Ness." He suggested.
