Aro often 'visited' covens that he was curious about. It had been several years since he was in Alaska. The last time he was here had destroyed two vampires one being an Immortal Child. The child, Vasilii, and it's creator, Sasha, had to be destroyed. There was no other option. Aro hoped the other three vampires who were completely innocent of knowing about the child had continued to follow the rules. And understood why he was forced to destroy Sasha. Any who break the rules are to be destroyed. There is not exception. Aro has not had to deal with an Immortal Children in a while and he hoped it stayed that way. Immortal Children were nothing more than a danger that's all they ever would be. They were completely out of control of themselves. Could destroy entire villages. The humans had quickly come up with a reason for so many dieing a disease of some sort. Aro could care less of the reason as long as it excluded anything about vampires.
Humans were aware vampires were real, but slowly they were thinking them of myth. It would probably take several more years possibly even centuries to make the humans think they were nothing more than a myth. The Romanians had ruled far differently than the Volturi. They openly allowed humans to know they existed something that Aro would never allow. It was senseless to allow humans to know. They were far to troublesome. They have even come up with 'ways' to kill a vampire. Completely ridiculous. Nothing a human did could ever harm a vampire. Aro needed to pay attention to humans to some extent. Know what they were thinking if they were starting to think they were myth. With how things were going it would be a while. Aro had time to wait for the humans to stop believing in them. Making sure vampires didn't openly reveal what they were would help greatly. One of the major rules Aro enforced was to keep their existence a secret. Any who broke this one simple rule was to be destroyed. It was one rule yes, but it could be broken in several different ways. All vampires must be careful of their actions around humans. To not alert them. To make them suspicious to make them realize what they really were.
Aro had a few guard members with him. His most loyal guard. Renata was one that would most likely always come with him. She was shield able to repel physical attacks. Make others go a different direction then they had intended. It could often confuse others. He also had Felix and Afton with him. All very powerful members of his guard. All of his guard were chosen for their talents physical or otherwise. Aro loved gaining more talents in doing so he gained more power. This pleased him greatly. To be able to gain more and more. Perhaps after this little 'visit' he would search for more talents. While he was traveling it seemed like a rather good idea. For now he needed to focus on what he was doing. He needed to find the Denali Coven. Make sure they were still following the rules and were aware the Volturi had not forgotten them. They would know if they tried to break any of the rules. They should know what will happen. Aro loved 'visiting' other vampires and having others come meet him at his home as well. It was always wonderful to talk with other vampires! He loved having such control, such power of the vampires. To be the leader of the Volturi along with his brothers Marcus and Caius.

Tanya's red eyes flitted from one side of the forest to another, sniffing the air in expectation. She was south of Denali and hiker's generally did get lost quite easily in the thick layer of snow at this time of year. She loved that feeling you got when you hunted. That feeling of energy and power running with the blood in her veins.
Tanya gave the forest one last sweep with her eyes, all her senses waiting for some inclination of a human. She had just fed and she would be good for anther month or so but it would be certainly droll to have missed another opportunity. With a frustrated sigh she ran back in the direction of Denali, wiping a drip of blood off her lipsticked lips. She adored running after a fresh hunt, so much faster then usual.
She arrived at Denali with a small smile on her face. But she smelt vampire and she let out a small hiss. Generally, Tanya found it hard to put names to faces or scents, being quite forgetful. But nothing could make her forget that musky scent of he Volturi. Ever since they murdered Sasha and Vasilli. Her small family of three had become purists for the vampire laws ever since but it still stung.
She breathed in to calm herself before the inevitable encounter she would have with hem 'What are they doing here?' She pondered internally. To her family, the Volturi only meant death and destruction. She straitened out her dress, ignoring the red stains from her recent hunt. She stepped out from behind the tees and saw Aro. She could never forget his face. It haunted her as she remembered he screams of Sasha and the cries of her child.
Tanya walked foreword, faking a small smile on her face but she knew how phony she looked. She gritted her perfect white teeth as she approached him and his guards, forcing herself to keep calm. "Aro. What does my family owe the honor of you visiting?"

Aro picked up the familiar scents of a few vampires. Exactly who he was looking for. Aro always liked to 'visit' others. Particularly those that had been close to being destroyed. Aro had allowed them to live because there not guilty of the same crime as Sasha. Aro wanted to make sure they were still following the rules making sure they were doing in anything that would cause them to be destroyed. What a shame that would be. Not that it would bother Aro to much. He has had countless vampires destroyed. If they broke the rules they were to be destroyed. The Volturi did not offer second chances and this coven would certainly not have another chance. Of course if they did nothing wrong well then there was nothing to worry about. Aro had given them a demonstration of what happens when one goes against the Volturi. Perhaps they have learned from this 'lesson' as Aro wanted. He loved giving demonstrations. Destroying many vampires in the process.
Caius certainly enjoyed destroying others. Aro simply wanted more power and for everyone to know they were in power and would destroy any in their way. They needed to appear justified in each of their actions. They need to appear like they were wanting what was best for the vampire world. They did, but they also wanted power and would not tolerate anyone in their way. Aro was willing to risk anything for power. Perhaps while he was traveling he could find a talent or two that would be of use to his guard. Aro was always looking for more talents and more power. Of course this visit was just that a visit. He was simply making sure they were following the rules and had taken their warning seriously. Seeing their creator destroyed Aro hoped to have told them something. Allow them to know they will destroy anyone who breaks the rules. The child was forbidden and they had already enforced any who had a child was to be destroyed. Yet, it seems Sasha did not want to take their warning seriously.
Aro smiled at Tanya as she greeted him and questioned why he was here. "Can't one come for a friendly visit?" Aro questioned. He always tried to keep his appearance calm and friendly. Though he could be thinking quiet the opposite. This may not be exactly friendly, but Aro always used words like that. As well has calling may a 'friend' who were far from it. Aro was curious as to where Tanya's sisters were, but it didn't really matter at the moment. He had run across one of them and that was enough for now at least. Until he found out if she had done anything that shouldn't have. Anything that may risk her being destroyed.

Tanya smiled tightly, glancing every now and again to see if Kate or Irina were anywhere but they were still hunting somehwere up north. Tanya wondered the real reason that Aro was visiting since a 'friendly' visit was surely out of the question of possibilities. Maybe Aro had wondered if they were harbouring another immortal child or anything.
"Well Aro." She said. "It certainly is good to see you again." She said. She truely disliked Aro. His calm and happy outer deminor did not fool her. She had seen first hand the pain he could cause with his guard at hand. Tanya wondered how her sister's felt about the Volturi. Were they scared or angry like Tanya was?
"I hope you had a good journey, Aro. Denali is quite far from Italy from what I remember." Tanya walked up to her house. "Come in if you wish."

Aro smiled at Tanya. "Wonderful to hear, my dear." Aro doubted she thought it was good to see him. She held ill feelings for him. After all he had destroyed her creator, mother as they called her, but it had to be done. They could not allow an Immortal Children to exist. Any caught with one was to be destroyed and anyone associate with the child as well. That is one of the reasons Aro did not destroy Tanya or her 'sisters' they were truly innocent. They had no knowledge of the child until he was destroyed. So many covens, vampires have been destroyed because of one child. It was pointless. Luckily, they have not had any problems since then, but that could change. If not enforced vampires could assume they could do what they wanted. A reason for this visit. To not let them forget the Volturi are keeping a watch on everyone.
"Yes it is quiet a distance, but it doesn't take to long." Italy was a bit away from Alaska, but that distance was quickly covered. So much quicker than any human could dream of being. They needed to be quick. More so if there was a problem the needed their attention. They needed to move quickly and stop the problem. To ensure their existence was not revealed. That would cause to many problems. It did take time for situations to reach them, but once it did they were quick in their actions. They needed to constantly be aware of all vampires and know exactly what was happening. Listen carefully to any unusual developments that may be related to them. So easy, but also a difficult task. There was so much to watch for. Keeping their existence was of the utmost importance it took time and work to see this was done.
Aro smiled as he followed Tanya. His guards followed close behind as always. They would not want to leave their master unprotected. Aro doubted Tanya would do anything she understood first hand how quick they could act. After all it only took a few seconds to destroy a vampire they could be very quick. Tanya nor her sisters would try anything Aro was certain about this. It wouldn't be to wise and it would show they had learned nothing. If anything Aro hoped Tanya learned to listen to them and follow their rules.

If vampire's could cry, then Tanya's traitor tears would be shimmering in her eyes at the unleasent memories that The Volturi always brought to the front of her mind. Tanya bit back a growl and smiled tightly again as Aro's footsteps followed behind her, as did his posse whom never left her side.
Tanya was bored of holding up the pretences and sighed, sliding her fingers through her hair nervously. "My sister's are not in and i doubt that they will be back." She hesitated, tentivly, treading on hot coals. "I don't wish to take up your time." She said, thinking to herself how much she wished he would go away and leave her alone.

Aro simply smiled. He could wait if he wanted to. But as long as he knew for certain one of the sisters were following the rules the others would be as well. Aro had hoped to make an impression to make them realize how serious they were. They would not allow anyone to disobey any rules they have made. Any who did would be destroyed. They have demonstrated this several times. The sisters had witnessed their mothers destruction as well as the child, Vasilii. "I'm sure they will come back eventually. You are close to your sisters are you not? They will come back. Though I do not necessarily have to talk with them." Aro knew the sisters would come back if he waited long enough. They were close when he destroyed their mother they would be close still. Perhaps even more so. They had a strong bond Marcus had been able to read this immediately on their first visit.
"My dear, I have all eternity if I really wanted to wait." Aro was not really in any rush. He could probably be doing a few more important matters. Like trying to gain more power. Perhaps while he was traveling he would come across a vampire with a valuable talent. That would be wonderful! Aro was always looking for ways to gain more power. And gaining talents was often one of the ways to do just that, but first he had to make sure the Denali's were still following the rules.

Tanya let out a small genuine smile as she thought of her sisters. "I love them dearly. Kate and Irina are truely my sisters in every way. Even more so after our mother-" Tanya stopped talking, chewing on her bottom lip, an irritating habit she inherited from her human aunt. "Though they will probably be hunting most of the weekend."
"So, Aro." Tanya quickly changed the subject. She was considering many topics but she wanted to veer the conversation away from her family. "How is everyone in Volterra since it has been some time since I have visited. I sure would love to go to Italy again, unfortunatly i have been busy lately. You of all people must understand." She truely would have loved to see the sun of Europe again, although Volterra probably wouldn't have been her set destination. She would stay clear of that dreadful place.
