"Oh course your so right, shame on little me." Maria said but with a smile hinting that she was of course lieing to Alice. "I shouldn't be telling his wife about his past. I would hate to cause trouble in his blissful life." Maria said and then chuckled her deep yet musical chuckle that hinted he was done with the play acting. "He dose look so happy with you." Lie, "I have heard of how he has to be restrained from killing your brother's wife, and of how every day he goes to these boring school were they give wrong history lessons and he is forced to smell blood your forbid him to drink."
"Tell me small Alice, all this pain and self testing he puts him self in, and what do you give him in return?" Maria asked as her head tiled to one side, and looked down at the little child like girl. Really, Jasper must like his women small, but Alice was almost criminally short compared to Jasper's tall masculine form. How did they enjoy that? Maria was short and liked tall men but not in bed. There is liked men she was more of an equal too.

 "I have over looked his terrible past and choose to ignore it. If I could get rid of you, I would have accomplished that." Alice said bitterly. She knew Jasper had done horrible things when he was in Maria's army, but it always hurt more to find out any other story that took place during that time. Alice could not bring herself to imagine that her husband could have done any of those things.
"I don't force him to do anything. He can make his own dicisions," Alice knew Maria probably did not care at all about what she was saying, but Alice wanted to make the facts clear. "He chooses to follow this life style and can choose to go backto humans if he wants." Animals' feelings were not as hurtful, or not at all, to Jasper. School was entirely Carlisle and Esme. None of the Cullens liked it, expect Rose, maybe -- she liked the exposure and the attention she got -- but it was what their adoptive parents wished.
That one hurt. It hurt real deep. Jasper went through so much for her -- and the family -- Alice could never give him anything that would be sufficiant. She could give him a lot more than she currently was and more than he was accepting -- he just refused her offer to repay him earlier. Jazz deserved so much more than he was getting right now! Alice wished she could give him it. Keeping her face composed, not showing any hints to Maria. At first she did not intend on answering Maria, but then figured she should before the woman made her own twisted asumptions. "Everything," Even if it did not seem like enough to Alice. Her silent heart ached as she beat herself up about being inadiquate in ways to return the favor to him. "And this is none of you business."
