Bella is said to be very accident prone, clumsy and stubborn. When there is something she wants, she'll do just about anything in her power to get it. She also has a tendency to put her loved ones needs before her own, no matter how unhappy it makes her. Although she is a terrible lier, she forces herself to do so, in order to hide her personal pain from those around her, who would be saddend by it. She's known to become nauseous and faint at the smell of blood, as a human.
When first introduced to the vampire world, rather then being afraid of them, she worried more that she would lose Edward and that his family wouldn't like her. Unlike anyother being, Bella's thoughts are her own around her dear Edward, who has the ability to read minds. Within time, she also learns that Edwards special ability wasn't the only one she unknowingly rejected.
As a vampire, Bella has amazing self-control at the sent of a human; almost as if she skipped the newborn stage all together. She also learns that she has her own special ability; A protective shield, which she can streatch over all those close enough around her, protecting them from other vampires special abilities.

Born in Forks, Washington, Isabella 'Bella' Swan was alsway the apple of her parents eyes. They always treated her like gold, though not to the point to make her spoiled. They always taught her to appreciate what she had. Though their love for their daughter was as strong as anyother parents, it wasn't enough to hold their marriage together. Bellas parents split up when she was very young, forcing her to move to Phoenix, Arizona. Up until the age of fourteen, Bella spent about a month of each summer in Forks with her father and hated it. The cold, rainy, small town wasn't her idea of home; She'd always been happier in Phoenix.
When her mother remarried a little league baseball player, Bella offered to go live in Forks with her father, Charlie. Though she knew she wouldn't be happy there, she did her best to hide that thought because she would do anything to keep her family happy.
After sometime living in Forks, she found it wasn't as bad as she thought. She made a few friends in her new high school and even feel in love with the mysterious vampire, Edward Cullen. After a series of events, Edward felt it would be best if he disappeared from her life, leaving a gapping hole in her heart.
When she finally came back to reality, after months of walking around like a zombie, she began getting closer to Jacob Black, learning he was the best thing to fill the void Edward left. That and the recklessness of thing such as motorcycle, making her subconsciously hear the sound of Edwards voice. When Alice sees Bella jumping off a cliff, she thinks it's a suicide attempt and returns to Forks.
When Edward is lead to believe Bella has died he sets off to Italy to see the Voltri and do everything in his power to end his own life. Luckly Alice sees the choices he and the Voltri make and her and Bella go to Italy to save him. Once the Voltri learn that a human knows about their secret lifestyle, Bella and Edward are left with a decision to make; Either Bella dies or is turned into a vampire herself.
Edward manages to talk Bella into marrying him before shes changed into a vampire and after sometime of disagreement, he finally gets his way. On their honeymoon learns she is pregnant, but not with a normal child. The baby inside her was growing at an abnormal rate and after sometime started nearly killing her. Although everyone, other then Bellas sister-in-law doubted the situation, the baby girl was born in perfect health, unlike her mother.
Bella was holding onto her life by a thread. If it wasn't for Edward letting his venom spread through her vains, she never wold have made it. When she woke up, three days later, she was a vampire. After the meeting with the Voltri all the drama finally ended and she lived her long, eternal with her new family.
