Damn. Well, Paul would have to respect her choice to tell her family herself . . . he couldn't really blame her. He would have told Jake in such a way that he would overreact, because that was what Paul anticipated. Oh well, he would have plenty of opportunities to bug Jake about it. Billy on the other hand . . . well, it was safer for Rachael to handle telling him. Paul had no intention to. "Fair enough. But come on, you gotta admit that its pretty fun to annoy Jake. I can't imagine how much fun you would have had as kids teasing him." Of course, now it was more fun because of the fact that as wolves, they could heal quickly and have enhanced strength and speed so the fights were far more exciting. "But I'll stay clear of telling him . . . I promise," he said grinning.
He thought about her next question. How did it feel . . . "Feels weird, thats for sure." Paul did not feel comfortable; in fact, he was totally out of his comfort zone. There was going to be more noise, more people, more stores, just. . . more in the city. And he was not sure how overwhelming that was going to be. Then again, he wasn't going to admit to Ray that he would feel overwhelmed. "I dunno, I'm just not used to it, don't think I'll ever be," he said shrugging. "But I'm glad that my first time in the city is with you . . . that makes me feel a whole lot better." As uncomfortable as he would feel in the city, the thought of being next to Ray in a completely unfamiliar setting made him feel more secure. "Besides, I gotta see what tempts you out of La Push . . . I'm curious as hell," he added, smiling so that she didn't think he sounded too bitter that she had been gone.

Rachael with held her comments about how she never overly teased Jake, because after her mother died, Rachael had become the mother role. She had encouraged him and helped with home work, while cooking and washing. She'd lost that childhood teasing. However she did not want to bring down the mood so she just remained silent.
"It's just a mix of everything. From the culture to the food, to the people. Doing new things and experiencing everything." She saw the signs for the city coming up, and she grinned. "Come on, you have to admit that having four all you can eat buffets with in a mile of were we are staying temps you, Paul." [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

"Mmm, well I'd be lying if I said that didn't sound tempting. But, I don't think they understand what they're doing by saying 'all you can eat'. I'm gonna put them out of business," he claimed, eagerly. They had not seen the appetite of a wolf, otherwise, they would have put a limit on the all you can eat deal. Paul didn't want to complain about how he was happy only being surrounded by his own culture . . . he wasn't going to ruin this trip for Ray. Or at least, try not to. He was a more adventurous type, and going to the city was an adventure for him, so he would embrace it with the the woman he loved. "Do you wanna get something to eat first, or head to your place right away?" Paul was fine with either option . . . unless seeing Joshua would ruin his appetite.

Rachael knew that if they went to her place before they went out to eat that it would be rude and break social rules if they did not invite Joshua. She also knew that Paul would not want to spent that much time alone with the guy. "Why don't we get take out and head on to the apartment? That way you can get extra for you and we can rest some in my room before meeting Joshua? He will be working a little late, so if you eat fast we wont be rude and eating around our host."
It would also let she spend a few moments alone with Paul in the place she loved. To see if he liked it and how he saw her little world away from home. She felt suddenly worried about what he would see there, and how he would feel about being there. What if this whole trip was a bad idea?![/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Alone in her room? Paul was all for that idea! But he didn't want to sound like he was pressuring her . . . which he wasn't really, but still! The thought was very appealing to a hormonal guy. "Sounds awesome. What time is he gonna be back anyway?" Paul didn't care . . . he just wanted to know approximately how much time they would have alone before the pasty white boy ruined their privacy. Paul was not sure how he was going to react to seeing him . . . he already had a bit of a temper. He had a feeling he was going to punch his face in, but also knew that he had to maintain some control for Rachael's sake, and for the sake of the pack. They were in the city . . . he couldn't just randomly run into a forest and phase. He wouldn't be able to phase for the whole time they were here! . . . . . .Was that even possible for Paul Moran? He was about to find out . . .
"So what kinda stuff do you in this city anyway?" Paul had never been somewhere so . . . big. It was completely unfamiliar to him, and though he would never admit it to anyone, it made him slightly nervous.

"I am not sure, but I would think he would be home in about an hour or so." She answered not having connected with what Paul was asking and the guy motives behind it. If she had she would have smiled and joked with him but also stalled them a bit. She didn't want Joshua coming home to them doing that! She had shared Paul's bed before, but that was when they were alone. It was something she didn't go around telling everyone, and she was glad Jacob had broken off from the pack. If Paul thought of THAT while sharing Jacob's mind . . . .
"You can do everything!" She said her face lighting up. "Art gallery's, foods, shopping, culture! You can go boating, or go rock climbing if your an outdoors person, or spend all day in the large book stores, and cultural buildings. You can see movies, and go to plays, and . . . " She blushes and laughed. "You can do allot here." [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

An hour?! Thats it! Oh well. Paul would make sure he didn't invade their privacy . . . he was going to need a one on one with Mr Joshua. Idiot. Paul already had such a deep hatred for the man, he didn't know how he was going to deal with actually seeing him and forcing himself to be nice. Her list of activities to do here made Paul a little worried. She seemed to be so attached to the city . . . what if she wanted to live here permanently in the future? He would of course follow her, but he wasn't sure he could deal with all the hustle and bustle associated with this city. He wasn't here long, and he could already feel how busy it was. "That sounds cool," he said, trying to sound enthusiastic. He wanted to at least try and have a good attitude for her . . . he didn't want to ruin this. He wanted to prove to her that he would be happy wherever he was, as long as he was with her.
"We'll have to fit in as much as we can in the few days we have, so you know what, we'll just do what you love doing best." Even if that meant going to museums . . . or art galleries . . . Paul would suck it up. "Man, I'm excited to see all the different kind of food you can get here." That was something he could be genuinely excited about! And so he had a massive grin at the mere thought of it.

Rachael looked over and smiled up at him, Paul liked simple things. Steak. Fires. Meat. Crabs. In the city it was more about flavor rather then how much you could eat, but there were a few places she bet would make Paul agree to come up here a bit more. All you could eat steak bar, was one. She was sure they were groan every time they saw him. "You know what my first job was out here? It last a week, before I knew it wasn't going to work out. It was this little bar and grill, and it had a very biker bar feel to it, but they have this huge hamburger, and no one has ever been able to eat the whole thing. If you do you get your meal free. We would buy one and the whole staff would split it and it would feel all four or five of us."
"It would be fun to watch their faces when you do it." She smiled knowing that was something Paul would like. She planned to show him a city he could enjoy rather then drag him to her favorite hang outs and to meet her friends. They would not understand Paul, and she had even a few conversations already were they seemed judgmental over her moving home rather then going off far out places. They didn't under stand how she could give up the adventure she dreamed of. What they didn't understand was, Paul was that adventure and more. [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Paul laughed at the thought of a group of people being unable to eat a whole burger. That was greatly entertaining to him. He pictured him and his buddies all sharing a burger, and he knew that it would barley last a second, and barley fill them up. "Did you like take a bite of it or something and say you were full? Cause I mean . . . come on, a burger? How big could it be?!" He didn't think anything was too big for him to eat . . . he never left a crumb on his plate, his food would disappear seconds after it was put in front of him. "We definitely need to go there. Free meals are always a perk!" Though he wasn't sure if he liked her in a biker bar type atmosphere. Oh well, he would just have to keep his cool because the massive burger sounded really tempting. Maybe he should ask, just so he could be prepared. It was sad, but he actually had to practice keeping his anger to a minimum. "So how busy is this biker place usually?" He asked, trying to sound casual about.

"No!" She laughed lightly, and held out her hands to show him the size of the monster pile of meat, "It's like this! It's like the ones you cook times ten or so, Paul, these are famously big! You will shock them when you eat it all! Just hold back and don't order seconds. You will make them wonder about you if your eating two of something that no one can eat one of!"
"It's a mad house! Music was too loud, and everyone tried to talk over it. I didn't stay long, I learned quickly it wasn't for me." Rachael seemed to miss his worry. "I liked watching them play pool, but I worked on the restraint side, no the bar side so I didn't see them do that much. I mostly just took food to tables and got drink refills. I liked the cafe better. Quite, and filled with kids from my classes there." [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

"Well I'm gonna shock the world then . . . or city I guess. And you thought that the city had it all? If they don't even got a guy who can eat a whole steak . . . what else don't they have?" He asked jokingly, though part of it was true. "We'll be famous Ray! Everyone will be talking about how lucky you are have a guy who eats like a horse." He was grinning proudly, already wondering how many he should order because despite her insistence, he was confident. He was relieved to hear that she wasn't at the bar, and therefore staying away from all the sketchies he was certain lurked around here. At least in La Push, everyone knew everyone. "I like cafes for you better too," he agreed. "How many different places did you work at here anyway?" He wanted to know the variety of jobs she had, where as he only really had one or two . . . then again, being a wolf tended to be a full time gig.
