It was another cloudy day in Forks, but Bella was fine with it. Specially now that she couldn’t really go out in the sun without bringing so much attention to herself. Yes because now Bella was a vampire. She who had loved the sun, now could only face it every once in a while when she was alone or with her family. She couldn’t take the change of having someone seeing them. No one would understand that they were not dangerous and that they never drank human blood. No they were what they like to call vegetarian. They only hunt animals which was not really different then what humans did.
She had just came back from a small hunt by herself. Usually she went with other people in the family but today she had wanted to go alone. In the end she hadn’t feed, she had simply ran in the woods. It was magical to run this fast. She used to be really clumsy but now she was not. She was agile. She ran back to the cullens house and open the door. “Hello?” she called wondering if anyone was actually at home.

Jasper was in his study working on a new draft for his book. It was his secretive hobby, though being as it was difficult to hide things from his family, they were well aware of his writing skills. Never the less, he still tried to avoid making it the topic of discussion with certain people. When he heard the door open, and the voice call out . . . he paused for a moment. Bella. Yes, Isabella was a strange one. A unique one. Someone that Jasper could not, and would never be able to understand. From her lack of fear from what they were, to her desire to never leave a vampire, to her transformation. Her transformation trouble Jasper most of all. He could not understand how she was able to let go of the desire for human blood so easily. It disturbed him. His area of expertise was compromised as she was an exception to it . . . and from his experience, there had been no exceptions.
Still, he had to admit that it was much easier to have a conversation with her, and to even remain in this house without the tempting smell of human blood filling his senses. Now, she was a vampire just as they were, and it makes things much easier in the one place that none of them had to hide. He exited his study and made his way downstairs to greet her. "Hello Bella. I am afraid most everyone has run out to do errands, though they should be returning soon." He gave a small smile. "How was your outing?"

She heard someone walking down the stairs and instantly she knew it was not Edward. She could feel her husband pretty much anywhere in the house. They had this connection. All the Cullens seem to have it with their loved one. She was happy that she was finally part of the family. She felt like she had waited for so long to be with them and now that she was all her dreams could eventually come true. It was perfect. Life was almost perfect. If you took out the having to hide part and the Volturi part it would be perfect.
She quickly recognized the voice. Jasper. Before she had came along he had been the newest of the Cullens along with Alice. But he had more trouble adapting with the vegetarian life style then she did. Bella never had trouble dealing with this. She near really felt the blood lust for human blood. She never really understood why but she was glad she had never acted the way a newborn did. She was at the same level as her family she was not a threat. She smiled at him. “That’s okay.” She said concerning the fact that most of the family were gone. “It was great. I still can’t get use to the fact that I can run that fast.” She said laughing. “How are you today?” she asked him

Jasper smiled at her comment. She was embracing the lifestyle, rather than expressing any hatred for it. She was willingly part of this . . . and that was yet again, something Jasper could not comprehend. Even if Maria had not been the one to change him, he doubted that he would have been as excited to possess certain gifts, even his unique ability. He would not have chosen this life; none of them would have. But Bella did. And he could feel the happiness from her. "You are a unique individual Bella," he said still smiling so that she knew he was just teasing her, though there was still truth to his words.
"I am quite well thank you. Doing some work. How was your hunt?" He was curious to know everything about how she fought the temptation of human blood . . . maybe Jasper could get some advice on that; or he would just forever remain the weakest one in the coven.

Jasper was like a brother to Bella. She felt good when she was around him and she was pretty sure it was not simply because of his powers. She even doubted they worked on her. For some reason her mind was closed to other vampires their powers could not get to her. She thought it was maybe simply a placebo effect that Jasper had on her but she didn’t mind she liked to be around him. She raised an eyebrow. “How So Jasper?” she knew he didn’t mean anything bad by this of course. She was simply curious.
“what you working on?” She asked as she was walking to the living room. They clearly were not going to simply stand in the hallway all day right? Not that it would really matter but she wanted to act as human as possible for the most part. She thought it was a good practice to do it even when she was around vampires. “I didn’t hunt in the end. I don’t really like to do it alone and the forest and the wind was too tempting. I simply wanted to run.”

Jasper could not help slightly chuckle at her question. "Must you ask Bella?" He said, more in a teasing way rather than a way that criticized her question. "Your entire situation is extremely different . . . unnatural. And your ability to fight temptation is baffling to me." He was still making his tone light, for he did not want to offend her. Though she was part of the family now, which involved a great amount of teasing, if not from Jasper then certainly from Emmett. "Your desire to obtain this lifestyle is something that no one else will be able to comprehend." Of course he knew why she wanted it; she had fallen for Edward. Yet the sacrifices that went along with becoming a vampire . . . . . "You are a unique individual," he repeated, smiling.
He followed her into the living room and waited for her to be seated before sitting down himself. "A book," he replied simply, eager to hear about her first hunt so he was purposely trying not to go into detail about his own hobbies. "You must find the speed exhilarating." It made sense; vampire speed compare to human speed was . . . well, it was incomparable.

Bella smiled at Jasper. Of course she had to ask. Bella didn’t think she was anything special. She had simply been lucky to find herself with such a family. They were all so special. She knew that Jasper had a hard time resisting human blood and yet she had such an easy time. Edward had told her he was tired of being the one that was lacking in that department. He had hoped that Bella would have also had trouble. She wondered if he resented her for it. of course not. It was Jasper. “I don’t know how it happened either Jasper.” She told him. She wished she understood. “Thank you Jasper.” With the way he said a book gave her the idea he didn’t want to talk about it right now and she didn’t want to push the question. It was probably nice for him to keep some things secret which of course was rather hard around here. “I never thought I could feel anything quite like it.” She told him. “Especially for someone as clumsy as me.” She added laughing.

He couldn't blame her for something that neither of them -- or any one rather -- understood. He would just continue to wonder, and observe her, seeing if there was a new way to deal with newborn vampires. Perhaps that would be an idea for a book, or a research project rather . . . of course, only available in the world of the supernatural for if he ever tried to send that to a publisher, they would recommend that the author go to a psychiatric facility for observation. "Well any clumsiness that you once had is in the past, for the grace you now possess is a lot greater."
"What other details are you noticing a great deal?" Since she had control over her actions, and was rational -- unlike most newborns -- he was curious as to what the major differences were, from a human perspective straight to a vampires. "If you do not mind me asking that is," he added, smiling but once again, genuinely curious.
