After a long day of work, Dyami had asked Mikki for a date. They had the day off tomorrow and he promised her a day like she had never had. He knew just the place for it too. He had told her to meet him at the shop (As her father didn't know about her job yet) and to bring her swim wear, he would bring everything else she needed.
Dyami was waiting out side the Shop, for her. Doing some minor work on her soon-to-be working car while he waited for Mikka. Today was going to be different. He wouldn't be the boss, and she wouldn't be the daughter of a friend. It would Dyami and Mikka. He had some surprises for her that might put her out of her element, but would also impress her (he hoped).
[Mikka Only; as it is our first date]

Mikka took far too much pride in what she wore. Fire impressions were everything. A person could tell a lot from another based on how they dressed, and they could judge them on it too. It was one of the reasons that Mikka was not surprised by the amount of time she took in preparing for this date. She had thrown every article of clothing from her closet on to her bed and floor, trying to find everything she needed, despite the fact that she had decided early on that she needed to buy a new dress for this occasion. And she did exactly that. Money was not object....since her father said he would pay for it. He didn't ask questions, he just handed her the cash.
Mikka loved first dates. They were so exciting; they held so much potential...sort of. She had been both on good dates, and horrible dates, so she was excited to see how this one would go. She had no problem going on a date with her boss. She was not one of those girls who over analyzed possible outcomes, and the consequences of certain situations. She was more so the 'go with the flow' kind of girl, and this carefree attitude of hers was what made her so agreeable when Dyami had asked her out. Sure, things had been awkward when they first met....but she was attracted to him, and when an attractive guy asked her out...who was she to say no right away, without giving them a chance? Besides, one date did not equal marriage...or even a steady relationship for that matter.
She looked at herself in the mirror for one final inspection. She was clad in an orange, summery dress...at least the weather was cooperative today, enabling her to wear such a piece. [Mikka's Dress] With it, she had on her white stiletto heels (since Dymai was so TALL and she really needed to make up for that height). As far as accessories went, it had taken her nearly an hour to find the perfect matching jewelry, and went with a big beaded white necklace, bracelet and earrings. Underneath her dress, she had on a two piece bathing suit, since Dyami had instructed her to do so and there was no way she was getting her brand new dress wet. With a final flip of her hair, she put on her sunglasses, tucked her flip flops and a towel into her bag, and headed out the door.
Mikka was taking the ugly car. She was allowed to use it when she needed to, but it was so gross looking, that she didn't want to be seen around town driving this hunk of junk. It was precisely why she was working to get her own car...HER LAMBO! Dyami definitely helped her with all the arrangements, and for that, she was grateful. She drove at a moderate speed, making sure she wasn't early. She never showed up early on a date. She always showed up at least 20 minutes late. Fashionably late. Even though she was especially excited for this date, she tried to conceal all of that. She parked the car, wherever she found room, and gracefully got out. She restrained herself from looking too eager....no one wanted an over zealous girl on a date. She had to look more down to earth, less inexperienced. "Hey," she greeted smiling at him, as she kept her sunglasses on. She was not going to apologize for being late; it took her time to look the way she did for today! He would hopefully understand that.

Dyami was using a wrench to tighten some bolts, and it was making some very quick back and froward motions, as he heard her arrive. . . late. . . almost half and hour late! He worked the tool faster, as head her approach. He wasn't the type to show his anger in his words, or actions but by his book it was more then rude to show up late.
When she spoke he pulled the took roughly off the bolt and turned to face her, and froze, as the tool slipped out of his hand and on to the ground.
Wow
He looked back at the car for a moment before looking back at her. "Mikka." He said in a greeting. He didn't show allot of emotion but right now, he was feeling ran over. He was angry, almost jealous of whoever was making her late, and now he was feeling all sorts of other more (manly) emotions. She was so beautiful. He finally gave her a smile. "You look very beautiful."

PERFECT! He was definitely getting off to the right start. He knew just what to say to flatter her. She withheld a giggle when he dropped the wrench right from his hands. Or it slipped...if it was just a coincidence, that talk about impeccable timing. She would take it as a compliment though. "Why thank you," she said smiling, subconsciously flipping her hair back. Mikka absolutely loved compliments. She would take them wherever she could, and his were so sincere, that it made her feel more comfortable (so far) about tonight.
"You don't have to work today, do you?" She asked, after having seen him work on a car...she wondered if there was a last minute job he had to do or something. She really hoped not. She was looking forward to their date...whatever that entailed....and she got all dolled up! She didn't want to go back home, looking like a rejected loser and then having to face him the next time she worked. Mikka didn't let this fear affect her....she wasn't thinking that far ahead. She would just take one moment at a time, and savor the good ones.

"No." he told her as he stared at her for a few moments longer. Knowing staring seemed to bother he he looked back at the car, counted for ten then back at her. There, he looked away and did not stare. "It's your car. I am just working on it when I can." Reaching over he shut the hood, and picked up his wrench, putting it into a box behind him. Picking up a rag he wiped off his hands and made them as clean as he could, then stood up to face her again.
"I have planned some surprises for you, today." Looking at her shoes, he shook his head. "You might want leave them at home." His home; their home one day.

That was HER car?! "I can't wait to see it when its done. You'll look like a major miracle worker." It looked so dirty and ugly right now...it was going to be a miraculous transformation. She was not even going to try to ask what he was doing to it. She would never understand the complexities of cars......even though she worked at The Shop.
She grinned, once again, finding herself having to refrain from looking too excited. "Oh really? Anything you can tell me now, or least give me hints?" Wait......WAIT! Did he just......tell her to ditch her shoes?! Oh no he didn't....
"I don't think so," she said stubbornly. Even if it made more sense, even if they were impractical, she would forever keep her shoes with her, and never leave the house without them. "I brought an extra pair of flip flops if I need to change them, but I'll be alright. Don't worry." She was expecting to hear where they were going so that she could be 'warned'. Hopefully, all those years of practice in her heels would pay off. The last thing she wanted to do was trip and fall on her face in front of her date...in front of Dyami.

He crossed his arms over his chest as she talked in the way he did with his new wolfs. While he looked amused with her rambles it did let her know he was going to have it his way, "Mikka, I am taking you to a magical place. One few people know of, and even fewer can get to. There is be a journey to get there. Hiking, swimming-" and a jump off a cliff. "--Your shoes will be ruined. I am trying to save them." He gave her an answer to everything she had said, in a way. She wanted a hint, she got one, she wanted her shoes, he explained why they were not invited on their date.
"Besides," He walked slowly over to her, and reached out to her arms, picked her up gently, and waited until her shoes fell off (one he had to reach down and pull off) then sat her on her feet. She was the perfect height. She made a man feel big and strong, and the urge to protect. "Now your naturally perfect."

AWWWWWWW!
Jerk. She looked up at him....very high up at him, and for the first time since she met him, saw the true height difference between them. It was crazy! He was so tall, and while she loved in a man, she felt she was too short. All she wanted was a couple more inches, then she wouldn't have been happy. But she got her mother's growing genes....though she never seemed to have any complaints about the height difference between her and her father. Maybe Mikka would have to ask her mom how she compensated for it.
She looked down at her shoes which were now off of her feet, and then looked at Dyami, with a slight pout. "I want my shoes though." She really, really, really wanted her shoes. "As sweet as you are for saying that," Yes, she had no problem admitting he was sweet. As anyone who knew Mikka, knew that she was very outspoken....perhaps a little too much at times. "How can I go to any magical place if they don't come with me? I have a bag, I'll just stick them in there if I can't walk in them or something." The mere thought of her not being able to walk in them shocked her.
"Plus, you're super tall....I want to at least be able to look at you without straining my neck." Okay, that was an exaggeration, which was why she had said it with a smile and a teasing manner. It wasn't hurting her neck to look at him...she just wanted to not be her naturally short self....even though apparently she was naturally perfect. Awww, he called her perfect! He really, truly did know what to say to the ladies to get on their good side. It made her wonder how many girlfriends he's had in the past. She would have to ask at some point....too many meant he was a player, and it somehow made his compliments less sentimental and more unoriginal. But, by just looking at him, he did not look like a player, he looked like a decent guy. Mikka quickly pulled herself out of her thought process.
She bent down to put on her shoes again, and once they were on, looked up at him with an innocent smile. "Ready to go? I am!"

"Fine." Was all he said. He would have thought 'let her learn the hard way' but he wouldn't do that to his Mikka. He would just carry her. It wasn't as if he was going to get tired or anything. "Ready to go into the woods and hike?" He said just to make her re think the shoes. However, he she did wear then, got tired or her feet hurt, carrying her was an excuse to touch her. Dyami smiled slowly, so that was why new aged men liked these stripper shoes. Touching.
Still, he didn't want them around all the time, for now, they would do.

HIKE?! "Hike?" Was that his idea of fun...or maybe a joke. Somehow, judging from the way he had said it, and the way he was smiling...it didn't seem much like a joke. "Where exactly are we going? Can't we take a car or something instead of waking all the way?" She could be a nature person.....when she was in the mood. But hiking in the woods in her precious shoes, was not exactly her idea of a good time. She wasn't changing them though. She was stubborn enough to not admit that another pair would be more practical than the ones she currently had on.

A smile slowly spread across his face. Silly girl. "I have something very special planned for you today. Something you would not think to do your self, but afterward I am almost certain that you will love beyond believe." He looked down into her eyes as he spoke, and let his voice grow deep and calming. "You look, like an adventure. A beautiful adventure. So take a risk, Mikki, and be the adventure, live the adventure and enjoy the rewards." He paused, "I wont let you get hurt." He proposed, and he meant it. He would watch over her, and care for her. Not just today, but for forever.

Mikka looked up at him in awe. She was lost in his gaze, though she did pick up on some key words...adventure...beautiful....beautiful adventure....oh how she loved compliments! She was really starting to see him in a different light. Back at work, he was her boss...but now, he was this amazingly good looking guy, with one of those deep sexy voices that made women's knees weaken, and she was on a date with him! She stayed quiet for a few moments, practically mezmerised. He spoke different too....he was mature, something that was hard to find in guys now a days, and it was so evident in his speech. It was like he was reciting poetry, something else that would make any woman's heart race. Snapping out of her trance, she forced herself to pull away from his gaze, and looked down at her shoes.
With a contempaltive look that lasted a few moments, she looked back up at him and smiled. "Alright. I like adventures...lets go!" She was excited now...extremely excited. What did he have in store for her? "I like surprises too!" The sooner they got started, the sooner she would be able what he had planned. He really put a lot of thought into this date! It was way better than something generic like dinner and a movie.

"Good, I have one planned for you." He told her, then held out his hand, after she took it, he let his fingers wrap around her's and then picked up another bag not far from them. "If you get tired, just let me know." He lead them though the yard that was filled with cars, parts and rusted metal everywhere. Leading her to the back corner were there was a gate. On her first day of work he had pointed to the gate and told her plainly, you don't go near it, you don't go out it. He had not explained why, just said it was the only rule he would enforce.
Today was special.
Leading them to the gate, he opened it, the fence wasn't see though along the back of the yard, as if he was hiding the view of the woods, it offered. Opening the gate, he lead her out of it, and one could see the woods were only a foot or so away from the gate. No even path for easy walking.

She led him lead her to......the fence?! Wow! Today was special after all. There were certain things that Dyami was very easy going with. When she wanted to redecorate the entire shop, or at least where she worked, he let her. But for some reason, he didn't let her cross this fence. "Wow...you really are breaking some rules today," she said teasingly, growing increasingly excited to see what he had planned. "Where does this place lead anyway? I've never been here!" Her voice was excited more than nervous or scared. She felt well protected with someone as massive as Dyami.
"Oh god...you should really clear a path out here. It would make for a nice trail or something..." Then again, she still didn't know where it led. She just knew that she was in fact going to have problems walking...but she was too stubborn to change her shoes, even now, when she knew that Dyami was saying the sensible thing to do was to take off her heels. She tightened her grasp on Dyami's hand, as if she were relying on that to maintain her balance...which was exactly what she was doing. "So um...is it like this all the way, to where we're going? I guess I should ask how long of a walk it is?"

"There is will never be a path out there." He looked down at her as they walked, "So much of this land has been taken over by citys, it grows harder to find real nature like this, to find land that was like my gran--great great grandfathers knew it." He wanted to keep some of it for his sons to see. For Mikka's sons with him to see.
That and the wolves needed the cover to get to patrolling and from the shop. "It is about a two mile walk, to the magical place I know of." He would have her walk a half of and half mile to make his point with her shoes and then find some reason to carry her the rest of the way. He didn't want her feet hurting her.

"So is this like some family secret?" Yes, Mikka was excited but the inconvenient trail was starting to frustrate her a little. Oh well, she would walk through it anyway. She would have to skip over any roots and make sure that her heels didn't get caught in any mud. She needed to maintain some degree of gracefulness since she didn't want to look like a klutz on her first date with him. "So give me a hint," she asked as sweetly as she could while concentrating on not tripping at the same time. "Whats one of the things that makes this place so magical?" Even if he wouldn't tell her, she still was terribly curious.

Dyami was leading the way, making sure to go slowly for her, and while he was a very paitsant man; even Dyami had to admit that this was getting them no where fast. Still, he would not carry her until his point was made. "It is untouched and completely natural." He told her when she asked for a hint. Had she asked for him to just tell her he might have, for he could never with hold anything from her, but he also wanted this to be a surprised.
Besides, if she knew how he planned to get them there, she's run--even in them stripper shoes--the other way. Dyami wasn't an idiot, and he knew the words cliff driving would set her off, or at least scare her into not going.
