AND ON THESE LONGEST DAYS WE SPENDa l l t h e t i m e t r y i n g t o p r e t e n d THAT OUR STORIES COULD BE TRUE- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jared laughed loudly as the man slammed the other into a wall, and blood spurted from the almost visible blood pack beneath his clothes. This was so bad that he couldn't even watch it! His hand reached out for the remote, and began to flick robotically between the channels, whilst his other hand crammed some of the deliciously buttery popcorn into his open mouth. His stomach grumbled in appreciation, and he smiled, images of real fights filling his brain. They were memories of the fights that he had been involved in, though they weren't people, they were wolves in his memories. Jared, and his thick brown fur was darting after that bloodsucker that had crossed the line. Hiss wide eyes taking in all that he could see. Jake had once described Jared's eyes as like binoculars, as he had awesome eyesight, even a tad better than Jake and Sam themselves! that was why he'd been put on point at the hunting of most of the vampires, as he noticed even the smallest movement, that happened far away!
But with Jared, he wasn't all that good at judging danger, even though he could see it a mile off! Once he was so involved in the chase, it was hard to pull him out of it. Though Sam did have the knack, but that could have been something to do with the orders that had to be followed. If Sam ordered him to dance, he'd have to do it, though Sam wouldn't take away his choice on something as ridiculous as that. He got the impression that Sam didn't like taking away the freedom of choice, but if it was the best thing for the pack and the humans, then Jared understood. Not that he liked it much, as the gag order was pretty hard! He was still impressed that Jake had managed to navigate around it to tell that Bella chick. But she seemed pretty cool, even if she did run with the vamps. Or at least she used to run with the vamps. now she was very much a wolf girl, as he understood it anyway. He knew what Jake felt for Bella, as he'd seen it every time Jake had locked minds with his. He was almost constantly thinking about her, and it annoyed the hell out of Jared, as he didn't need to be hearing how awesome Bells was every time he was close to Jake.
He had to get out of his house, it was so damn boring here! He sighed and pulled himself up from his chair, placing the bowl of popcorn back on the sofa. He was out of the door and amongst the trees before anyone could say “oh my god you stole my popcorn!”. He stripped off his jeans and dropped them on the floor, then rolled his shoulders back as his whole body shook. Within moments, a big wolf, with thick brown fur stood in the place where Jared had just stood. He picked up the jeans in his mouth, then began to run. He ran fast, his strides long, and reached the cliffs with ease. Before the trees thinned out, he’d phased back and dressed quickly. The weather was fine, and perfect for some adrenaline pumping cliff diving, so he moved toward the edge and looked down. It was a long drop, but he could handle it, as his wolf body was strong! He kicked a rock off the edge and watched it tumble toward the bottom. He stepped away and sat down on the grass for a moment, as he heard footseps not far away. So he decided that he would take in the air for a moment, see if anyone interesting was around for him to talk to.

Leah hated cliff driving. Leah hated heights. She wasn't like the others who saw this as fun. 'What's the worse that could happen? You just heal right back!' That mind set, that one right there was just teenage boy style stupid! While she would never admit it and had done her best to never think of it while in wolf form, she was afraid. She had been before she could heal right back and she was not that she could. She did it, once in a while, to prove she wasn't but she wasn't into the 'pack bonding' like the others.
She was there because she was hoping no one else would be. Leah wasn't one to hold back and she knew most people saw her as La Push's resident bitch, but even she enjoyed down time.
There, looking out over the fading colors of the La Push sky, it was easier to forget something, or at lest pretend they did not matter so much. To drift away in her own day dream or think of big plans on how to stop phasing. Yoga maybe. Something to help bring peace to her mind and body, that would get her away from teenage---grrr
Leah could hear him before she could smell him; and smell him before he was in sight. Jared, Sam's pack's resident mouth. She gritted her teeth together and inhaled deeply for calm. She was not going to let anything ruin her peaceful mode. (and if they did, she was going to rip off some of their fur!)
[What time frame is this?!]

AND ON THESE LONGEST DAYS WE SPENDa l l t h e t i m e t r y i n g t o p r e t e n d THAT OUR STORIES COULD BE TRUE- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jared loved cliff diving, as it wasn't even a risk for someone who could just heal if anything went wrong! Say they hit some rocks at the bottom, or got too close to the Cliffside as they fell and got some cuts and scrapes. by the time that they were back on the beach and out of the water they were healed and sorted! Broken bones weren't even a match for their healing abilities! Although that did take some of the risk out of cliff diving, it didn't make it any less exhilarating or exciting! And Jared enjoyed it as much as the rest of the pack. Not courting Leah, who seemed not to understand it.
He never got why she didn't enjoy it. And she never did it with the pack either, which was odd as it was one of their pack bonding things. She missed out in his view, as the experience was one of the best out there, next to chasing down vampires! But he supposed that it was just another thing that the resident bitch didn't do. he didn't mean it in a bad way, it was just how everyone referred to her. He didn't think she was that bad if you caught her on a good day. but he usually caught her, like everyone else, on a bad day. Jared raised his nose in the air, and he caught her scent immediately. Man, that saying, speak of the devil and they shall appear, it worked as well in thought too. Think of the devil and they shall appear. That sounded more like it! He sighed and turned his neck around, craning to see if she had made her presence known yet.
Although she probably knew that he knew she was there, because she knew his capabilities. His hearing, sense of smell, and just about every other sense was enhanced by his wolf genes. His eyes were the best though, as he could see far, sometimes even further than the rest of the pack. And his eyes caught site of her, flitting through the trees. "Come out come out Leah. We both know that I know you're there." He said with a smirk, hoping that it was a decent mood that she was in at the moment, as Jared didn't want to have to watch himself, as he tended to say stuff that got on her last nerve sometimes. Come out, come out? Leah wasn't hiding, but she wasn't looking for company, either. "Don't you have an else where to be or some food you can go eat . . . ya know, something not here." She said into the air since she had yet to see him, but she knew he would hear her. Wolf thing; near perfect hearing. Good when hunting down smell bloodsuckers and bad when hear Jake talk about Bella (again) or Sam think about Emily (again) or Paul being the jerk face he was born to be (again).
Leah turned so she was no longer looking out over the water and looked into the woods, scanning for sight of him. She wasn't in an overly bad mood despite her words, still, she didn't want someone making a joke that rubbed her the wrong way and ruined her whole day. Like when everyone goes 'Lets all go to Emily's!' and Leah feels the knife in her back twist that much more. "Were you looking for me or was this just a happy chance of my great luck?"

AND ON THESE LONGEST DAYS WE SPENDa l l t h e t i m e t r y i n g t o p r e t e n d THAT OUR STORIES COULD BE TRUE- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Jared smirked as he heard her footsteps carry her around the forest, surely looking for him. He couldn't see her, but he could sure as hell hear her! "Afraid not, your stuck with me" Jared said, clearly winding Leah up. It was one of his hobbies, just like cliff diving, winding Leah up was risky, as it depended on the mood you caught her in. Like if you went diving in the wrong weather, it could be dangerous. Jared never knew when Leah was cooking up a storm, but he hoped today wasn't one of the days. he was only winding her up for a bit of fun, and he hoped she saw it as that. But then again, it was Leah, and she never saw it as that. "A happy chance of your awesome luck! Any time you get to spend with me is just awesome luck! because let's face it, I am the bomb" Jared said with a smile. he wasn't really this cocky or arrogant, he was messing around. Jared knew that there were better people out there than him, but it didn't mean that he had to admit it! He could head some bitterness in her voice, and he sighed, guessing that her thoughts were on Sam (again). She still hadn't gotten over the Emily thing, although Jared couldn't blame her, as every time Sam was around, he was thinking about her, and that was like another stab in the heart for her. he knew. He felt it every time she did, thanks to the pack mind thing. That was another reason he disliked the linked in minds, because he heard every bitter thought that Leah had about Sam and Emily, and he had began to sympathise with her a little. Although Emily was amazing, and an awesome cook! Her blueberry muffins were the best he'd tasted! "Well then . . . yay for me." It came out rather more sarcastic then even Leah meant it. Jared was at lest better then . . . Paul . . . Paul was a pain in Leah's ass. Jerk. Jared at lest lacked the anger and rage that Paul would hit you with. Still, Jared could get under her skin so fast. It didn't help none that Jared seemed to be one of the more easy going wolves. True or not, it just seemed the body shaking anger that drove Leah, and made Paul a time bomb, and effected the others, hit Jared less. who knew, maybe Leah was being bitter and over thinking it, but Jared just seemed to enjoy things to much at times.
Leah glared into the woods. She hated being the girl wolf. The freak. Sometimes, it was easier like when she was sinking her teeth into Paul, or when she was out running them all; while other times it was the source of her anger. When Seth went wolf too, her anger doubled. "Why don't you just go jump off your cliff, and belly flop or something." [No worries! So Leah is still newly a wolf, and Jared . . . has he imprinted yet? I don't know his story line that well. I was just wondering if Leah should 'be annoyed at his imprinting'.]
