Paul had to talk to Jacob. Well, he didn't have but he knew that eventually, it would come out that he had imprinted on Rachael Black, and he would rather tell him at first . . . before Jake received all the disturbing images of how Paul perceived his sister next time they phased. He was on his way to the Black residence, wishing that Rachael could be there there. Once he told Jake, who knows how the kid would react. He did know though that if Ray had been there, then she wouldn't be able to fully understand why Jake was so mad that he had a thing for his sister. Little did she know, that being with her was a life long commitment. To those who did not know about imprinting, one date was causal . . . but to Paul, it was so much more.
He walked into the house. Knocking was not a formality he took part of. Instead of performing the action, he decided to vocalize the sound instead. "Knock knock, anybody home?" He hoped Billy wasn't. Paul did not want to tell Billy right away. Especially since Paul had briefly dated the other Black twin for some time. Paul also had to admit that in a way, he was looking forward to telling Jacob. Paul loved fights, and he wondered just how protective Jake was of his sister . . . this should be interesting indeed.

☾ Jacob Black ☽ Jake had been in his room trying to sleep despite the extremely annoying, loud birds outside his window who must have been killing each other to be so loud, when he heard Paul's voice. 'Whatever, it was a lost cause any how' he told himself climbing out of bed and running his fingers through his short hair. He stepped out of his room and found Paul. "Sup man." Jake greeted, automatically going to the fridge and pulling out a couple root beers. He was hungry, but decided against food. If he ate he’d have to offer food up to Paul and they couldn’t afford to feed him too. He sighed, thinking about it and then realized he wasn’t alone. He sat at the small table and kicked out the other chair for Paul to use. "Dad's not around, he went to Charlie's to watch the game, so if you wanted him your out of luck." Jake said, popping the lid of his soda and taking a sip before it could foam over. He lounged back in the flimsy chair and stretched out his sore muscles, running had practically done him in last night. He had refused to stop for a break when his poor body was begging for one, and now he would pay for it. After a few moments Jake looked back at Paul. "So what’s with the visit? You need something?" Jake asked, a little pissed off about his failed nap.

Paul took one of the root beers and gulped down half the can. In a way, he was stalling, or more so, building up to telling him. His reaction was going to be interesting . . . Paul hoped there would be a fight involved. What was the worst Jake was going to do? Not let Paul see his sister? That was impossible. Everyone who knew about imprinting, knew that. Of course, Paul also knew that there was always tension between him and Jake and Paul -- shockingly -- was not stupid. He was fully aware of the disappointment Jake was likely to feel when he found out that he was the one who had imprinted on his sister. All the more reason to tell him as soon as possible.
He slumped down into the chair and very comfortably put his feet up on the table, acting as if this was house. It soon would be . . . in a way. He was going to spend a lot more time here, since Rachael was here. "Naah. Didn't need to see him. Was just wondering if he was here." He finished the last of the root beer and crushed the can in his hand. "Not really," he said smugly, grinning with a cheeky smile. "Why? You got something better to be doing? Can't imagine what would be better than hanging out with me," he said in a cocky voice, leaning back in the chair.

☾ Jacob Black ☽ Jake Couldn't help it, Paul's arrogance made him want to rip the smile off his face. He didn't want him to see this though, the imagine was wonderful, claws and fur and teeth and blood. They were supposed to be pack members, brothers even but Paul had always made it very difficult to like him, or to even be civil toward him. "Dude no." Jake decided to address the rudeness first, "Have some class, for Emily's sake, if she saw you now..." Jake laughed picturing the look that Paul would receive for such idiocy. He pushed his feet off the table, hoping he'd fall off his high horse and hit the floor. "Paul anything would be better than being stuck in here with you. Maybe I could go to the hospital and when they see I should be dead, they'll test on me for hours, sounds good compared to this." Jake told him "Do you have a point?" Jake asked, leaving the table to grab a bag of chips. He opened them and set them on the table. Taking a handful and consuming it.

Paul's feet did hit the table, and very hard, making a loud thud. The jerk repositioned his body but he adjusted himself so that he was still leaning back in the chair, only this time, his feet were spread out on the ground. "Go there then man. Hey, no one's stopping you. Just remember, if all the food in your house is gone when you get back, keep in mind that you were the freak who left me in the house alone." Hmm, maybe if Jake left, Rachael would come and he would get some alone time with her. Paul wondered if he knew about his imprinting on her, if Jake would ever leave the two of them alone . . . well, for the beginning at least. Paul reached for the chips, taking two massive handfuls and shoving them into his mouth. He remained silent for a few moments, purposely crunching more loudly than he needed to, just to annoy his future brother in law. "Aw, can't a wolf visit his fellow pack member without reason?" Paul said, with sarcastic sentiment. He was stalling, or maybe he was building up the moment. Either way, Paul knew he was going to have to spill soon . . . before Rachael came home.

img149.imageshack.us/img149/6598/leahwaynejohnwayne.png [/img] Jake's face became a satisfied smirk when Paul's legs hit the table. When ever he brought Emily into the matter Paul seemed to shape up. He was an utter jerk but you could tell that Paul cared about people. Some people, although maybe not Jake. "Tempting but no, I know how hard it is for you to function on your own man, I couldn't let my pack mate suffer. I'm good here." Jake didn't stop smiling. For all that he hated him at times, it could be entertaining shooting remarks back and forth. "Oh sure cause we hang out all the time. You'd rather shove me in front of a bus then have to spend one minute of unforced time with me, and man that totally goes both ways." Jake said in response to his sentimental fakeness. "Dude if you don't have anything to say get out. I've got better things to do, like stare at some paint dry, than talk to you." Jake was in a bad mood. If Paul had come for help- Jake would help him but if he wanted to talk he should have gone to someone who cared. Emily was good for that, and wasn't Sam like his best friend forever or something lame like that?

Paul laughed as Jake's increased annoyance became evident. In fact, Paul was also extremely irritated, but the thought that he would soon tell Jake something to make him even more angry, amused him enough to prevent him from phasing. "Come on man, we're family -- " In more ways that one -- "Maybe you should start respecting 'em." Paul was being entirely sarcastic. He did not expect respect, nor was he willing to give Jake any.
"Alright, alright. Calm down shrimp. I just came by to tell you that I found someone . . . you know, imprinted on them. I figured I would tell you in person before I phased and you find out anyway." Paul was purposely leaving out the fact that it was Jake's sister. He would try to make it sound like it was someone else, and then blurt out the truth. Oh, how Paul was greatly looking forward to Jacob's reaction. "How about that huh. I imprinted before little Jakey." Paul went over to him and ruffled Jacob's hair, treating him like a small child.

Jake literally laughed out loud. "Respect? Paul do you even know what that word means?" Jake asked trying to keep cool. Phasing in his house would be a dumb ass move. SHRIMP?! What the freaking- It was obvious that Paul wanted to get his ass kicked. Jake ground his teeth together but held his composure. "Man I could totally go for some shrimp right about now." He said, stretching and trying to act totally nonchalant. "Wow how sweet. Moran finally decided to be decent for a change." Jake taunted. It was completely unlike Paul to care if Jake saw he had imprinted once they phased. Why did Paul think he'd care. Jake was instantly on his guard. Poor girl. Jake thought. Jake growled when Paul ruffled his hair. Dude didn't his mom teach him about personal space. His face had gone hard, but then Paul opened his mouth setting Jake up for the perfect come back. What a freaking dumb ass. "Awww man thank God right? Imagine how sad it would have been for you if I had imprinted first." Jake belted out a thick laugh, throwing his head back in exaggeration.

Paul maintained his position in front of Jake. He ignored his mocking remarks in response to Paul's. "Come on shrimp -- " Paul was really enjoying his new nickname for Jacob -- "Don't act like you ain't the least bit curious . . . you gotta wanna know who the lucky lady is." His sister! Life was so ironic. . . it was great! "I gotta say, she is most definitely a lucky lady. She gets to make every other woman in La Push jealous," Paul commented, in a cocky tone. He was grinning as he thought about his first date with Rachael, and how calm he was about the whole thing. His arrogance forced him to be.
Paul put his arm on Jacob, as if he was consoling him. "Don't worry man. I'm sure there's someone out there for you, just dreading the moment you imprint on her and she realizes that she has no choice . . . that she's forced to stay with you. Man, maybe you should do that poor woman a favor and just never imprint on anyone. Stick with the Swan chick, that seems to be going well." Of course, Paul's last remark was a sarcastic one. He loathed Bella, he hated that she knew about them, and he hated how pathetic Jacob was in front of her. She was not part of the group, and yet . . . she kept popping up at the bonfires. She was nothing but a distraction for Jacob, and Paul most certainly did not like outsiders, especially ones that fraternized with the enemy.

img149.imageshack.us/img149/6598/leahwaynejohnwayne.png [/img] "Dude have you looked in the mirror lately?" Jake taunted, "Oh thats right theres that one your always staring into, is it still 2o minutes a day? Man if you had looked in that mirror, you'd see that if anyone is the shrimp between the two of us, it's freaking you dude." Jake shook his head as if it was so taxing explaining things to Paul. Jake literally mirrored Paul's' cocky grin making fun of how freaking stuck up he was. "The girls are all going to throw a party. Paul's off the market we can breath again!" Jake cried laughing between his teeth as Paul had his arm on him. "Seriously dude I thought you snagged yourself a girl. Do you have to put your nasty ass hands all over me?" Jake sneered, smacking Paul's hand from his arm and leaning back in his chair so he had some space. He yawned a little as if this conversation was getting old really quick. Jake growled low in his throat when Bella was mentioned. So much for acting like he didn't care. "Why do you keep showing how freaking dumb you are? It's sad really you wagging your little poodle tail in my face to make yourself feel better. Must be hard being so damn attached to someone who probably wants to tear off her own skin. Poor girl." Jake was shaking slightly but he tried to keep it under control. Paul always resorted to using Bella to get to him. "You'd love that wouldn't you Poodle, always having Bella around." Jake taunted right back. He tried not to be annoying and pat himself on the back for coming up with such a good nick name for Paul, because Jake could tell thats what Paul was doing with shrimp. "Must suck having her know so much about us, and being unable to do anything cause the man who holds your leash said no." Jake continued getting ready in case Paul decided he wanted to fight.

Paul was about to explode! Is this what imprinting did?! Made you not want to fight someone?! . . . No. This is what imprinting on someone's sister does to a man. A sinister smile formed on Paul's lip. It was his 'I'm-about-to-kick-your-ass-but-not-quite-yet'. He pulled Jake up from the chair."Height is nothin' kid. Its all about strength, experience . . . hell, you think you can take me?" Paul KNEW deep down that Jake could but he was not ready to admit that. "Give it your best shot kid. You won't get real far." He pushed Jake, not quite as hard as he could, but it was more than a light, playful push. Satisfied with this action, he slumped into his chair once again. As much as he hated to admit that Jake was right in any way . . . he was when it came to Sam and what his alpha commanded. Paul was not about to betray his pack but going against the Alpha's command. But there was no harm in a little 'playful' fighting. With wolves, it just looked far more aggressive than playful.
"Actually, this chick is crazy 'bout me. You should have seen her when I asked her out. It was a hell of a lot more of a reaction I get than women in your life. Or the chick in your life. The one who would ditch you in a second for a blood sucking leech. Really shows how much she cares about you," Paul laughed at his own remark. He had no problem bringing up Bella, even if it was a sore subject for Jake . . in fact, that was what motivated him to do so.

Jake gritted his teeth together as Paul lifted him from his chair. His whole body went stiff and his eyes were clearly murderous. "I don't think I can take you, I KNOW I can take you." Jake responded his voice so very unlike his usual happy-go-lucky one. It was rough and showed every bit of his anger. Jake snarled when Paul pushed him, keeping his legs tight so he only went back the smallest amount of space. His feet still glued to the stop they had previously been. "You are such a wuss POODLE. Since when do you bunny punch someone? Since when do you sit back like a lame ass and used stupid remarks you think will hurt me?" Jake asked, his throat was going to kill later, talking in this tone was tearing it apart. "I don't give a crap about some girl who is probably just being nice to you cause she doesn't want to see you cry any more. She's probably half way to Vegas with some random guy to marry, so she can stay the Hell away from you." Jake growled. Paul brought Bella into the mix again. Pouring salt into an open wound. He refused to answer Paul. His hands clenched into fists and his whole upper body was beginning to shake now. "Get out of my house." Jake commanded his voice ice cold, his eyes fierce. Paul was going to leave or Jake was going to throw his ass out. It was all his choice.

Paul was willing to argue that fact . . . fact. It was a plain hard fact. They had been in fights before, and Jake had beaten him; there was a reason he was supposed to be the alpha. But never, in a million years would Paul acknowledge that. "Son of a bitch, call me that again . . ." He was ready to punch him, to start a physical fight instead of all the trash talk and light shoving. But no . . . he would have to wait. But hang on, Poodle?! Since when did Paul Moran sit back and take that?! Since he imprinted? No. He would have his revenge. He had imprinted on Jacob's sister . . . that was all the ammo he needed against him. "Since I realized you ain't worth it shrimp." That was a lie. It was completely worth it. He just needed to wait until the timing was right.
"You couldn't be more wrong about that. She totally wants me. You should have seen the way she was looking at me today . . . and man, it was written all over her." Paul was exaggerating now. "She's freakin' hot too . . . dayum." Now Paul was just trying to say things that he hoped would annoy Jake when he found out it was his sister. Normally, he would never say this kind of stuff to Jake, but he hoped he would remember these comments when it was revealed Rachael was Paul's imprintee.
Paul grinned. He was getting to him . . . big time . . . finally. "Alright, fine." Paul started towards the door, but abruptly stopped. "By the way, if Rachael comes by, let her know that I'll pick her up around 7 for our date tonight." This was Paul's way of dropping the news. It was his way of playing around with the fact he was going to hook up with Jake's sister. Everyone knew that once you imprinted, you didn't fool around with other girls . . . you didn't want to. And so, why else would Paul be going out with Ray, unless she was the one he had imprinted on. This was perfect! Paul stood a few steps away from the door, eagerly waiting Jacob's reaction.

"I'd love to call you that again WUSS. No need to ask me twice poodle." Jake laughed it was easy to see that Paul was beginnig to lose it, just a few more remarks and he'd get the fight he'd been waiting for. "We'll see how unwoth it I am when I'm kicking your ass." Jake commented completely calm and cool. Paul had no idea that saying something like that made him feel good. Paul was just covering for his insane mood to be an utter wuss today. Jake's face began to show a smug smile which died as paul finished his sentance. Jake didn't even stop to remove his clothes, just pop, phased right there lunging at Paul as he was doing so. Paul had better watch his ass cause Jake was about to rip him to shreads. Even if it wasn't Paul's fault who he imprinted on, Jake was going to kill him.

Paul quickly moved to the side when Jake lunged at him. He did not phase. Instead, his booming laughter filled the entire room. He had gotten what he wanted; he had pissed Jacob off, enough for him to uncontrollably phase. Perfect! "Now now kid, whats gonna happen if your sis comes home and finds a big fat wolf in the kitchen? She ain't gonna be too happy . . . you don't wanna scare her away now, do you?" Paul continued to laugh, extremely content over the fact that he had something on Jake now. Of course, if the kid was going to lunge at him again, Paul would have no choice but to phase. . . only, he may have to do it outside, as he did not want to risk Rachael finding out about their abilities to phase this way.
Paul began to back up a little, holding out his arms, a gesture that indicated he was ready. "You wanna take me?" He was walking backwards, heading towards the door. "Come on, bring it kid. I'm ready." If Jake followed, he would go into the woods, phase there and then they could finish this little brawl. "Lets go. Unless you plan on destroying your house instead of the woods." Paul kept walking backwards, closely watching Jake's reaction.
