Aro was most interested in the Cullen's why would he not? They had so many rare, vaulable talents that would so very nicely within the guard. Edward's talent would be so convenient! To be able to hear from a distance that would be most wonderful. But Edward's mate, Bella, was very powerful. She had proved that years ago. How splendid it would be if she was to join them. Renata was able to shield physical attacks and if he was to have Bella he would also have a way to shield mental attacks as well. That would certainly add the Volturi's power. Aro was always looking for anyway for the Volturi to gain more power, for them to seem and be that much more powerful. Of course the talent Aro wanted more than any was Alice. To be able to actually see the future to be able to know what would happen if he was to decide something. How wonderful that would be! So many possibilities that could have. It would be most exciting.
The location where the Cullen's where also had the must interesting of creates. Shape-shifters who at first appeared to be true werewolves. Caius had a great fear of Children of the Moon he nearly died in a fight with in when they had first gained power. They of course had them all hunted down. Aro was certain there was still a few around but not many and they were most interesting. Aro had much curiosity for those he knew little about. But shape-shifters Aro knew much through Edward's thoughts but he was certain there was still so much he could learn if he wanted to. They were very interesting and they appeared very loyal. Aro could imagine what good they could bring. To also have them as 'guard dogs' that would be very interesting. Aro was quiet certain Caius would disagree with this idea but it was something to consider. It would add to their power as well.
Aro was in the main chamber. There were a few guard members around as always but there were two in particular Aro wanted to speak with. Aro had spoken to his brothers about the Cullen's they were no danger as of now but they would come up with some reason. Aro would acquire the talents he wanted one way or another. There was nothing Aro wanted that he did not get. He wanted Edward, Bella, and Alice all talents that would be most useful. Even Renesmee seemed to be of great interest as well. Aro would love to learn more about her and these half-breeds. Half-mortal, half-immortal it was something he most certainly would have never thought of. It interested him greatly he would love to learn so much more! Aro glanced at one of the guards and order they bring Alec and Jane before him. It was probably time they had a bit of a 'check-up' on the Cullen's. Make sure they were not revealing their secret make sure the half-breed really was safe. Perhaps even something about the shape-shifters.

The twins tended to not stray far from one another. Only at Aro's request would they separate, and even then that was rare. The two were powerful. Only one had ever been able to stop them. Bella Cullen. Alec wanted nothing more than to destroy that vampire. She had angered his sister, she had blocked even HIS gift. Her ability would only get stronger as she aged. Bella Cullen was not someone he wanted to be confounded by again. If she joined the Volturi Guard he would not mind as much, once again they would be unstoppable. But he doubted she would ever join. Those vegetarians. They lived their happy lives eating animals. They refused to eat what they should. Humans. They were mammals, no different than a bear. Or whatever else the Cullen's fed off of. The gold eyes of the "family" just irritated Alec. It just seemed so wrong.
Alec just sighed and shook his head. He glanced up at his sister and smiled, his mood instantly brightened. He knew they were treasured by Aro. No vampire went without fearing their names. They were "special" and honestly he did not much care. All he cared about was Jane. His smiled faded when another guard came to fetch the twins. He looked at the other vampire briefly and turned away, snatching up his red robe. He was being summoned, no THEY were being summoned. At least this mission would be one the two could accomplish together. He put his robe on, and turned to wait for Jane. No sense in rushing, they had an eternity.
The pair walked side-by-side toward the main chamber hall. Alec glanced into a mirror as they passed it, and his eyes shone a bright, brilliant red, after so long he had grown used to the color. It was more natural to him than the blue he had been "born" with. All his thoughts cleared as the two walked into the chamber and saw Aro sitting in his chair. Alec's expression did not change. He did not speak. He just waited. And listened. He knew that whatever it was Aro wanted they would do. It had always been like that. Never questioning their masters methods, just acting. It did not bother Alec, he got bored sometimes anyways and a good mission was always a way to entertain him. He knew no other life, this was all he ever cared to learn. He was comfortable with his position, with his tasks. No sense in abandoning them now after hundreds of years. [/blockquote]

Jane enjoyed spending time with her brother. He always made her feel comfortable. She was used to her life now being a vampire, as she had been one for awhile now. But she still did like having Alec around for support, they were each other rock. As humans they would have talked to one another about everything, telling each other what was on there minds or what bother them. It was too hard for them to be pulled away from one another. Alec and Jane were very close and looked out for one another. Since they were turn at a young age they were a bit scared and frighten at first but at least they had one another. Jane didn’t know what would have happened if she didn’t have Alec or if she lost him. She wouldn’t be able to live without her Twin, he was everything to him. Even if she didn’t seem the type of person that loved others she is very capable of love as she has shown that with Alec. Jane hasn’t had any other love besides that being thought of as weird as a human nobody liked her. And being small and powerful made other scared or did want to be with her. This did bring her down on the inside but on the outside she was perfectly fine with it all.
Jane and Alec were off Judy well having a small break. They stood in one of the halls one the outside of Sulpicias room. Nothing really happened on the inside besides her doing what ever she did in there. So the two considered it as a break since they didn’t need to do anything but sit or stand on the outside. The two were having a conversation with one another. They had wanting to plan a trip for the two of them to go hunting together. To have some witch twin time. But first they would have to ask Aro he was in charge after all and they couldn’t just walk out. They would need to work out the right day, time and other small details. Others could the two witch twin’s because they were twins and they both had very powerful talents and other called then that because the humans were convinced that they were in fact witches. When they told others, or others told others some just found it funny and laughed then others understood. They always got different reactions. That being a part of the vampire world and the human’s world everyone was different in there own way.
There conversation was interrupted when another guard member, told them that Aro wanted to see them. Jane watched as her brother picked up his robe and waited for him to leave first. She already wore her robe she always did, it was different from the rest of the guards. But she liked it and wore it all the time to show her pride. Alec started to move and Jane followed. She wasn’t very happy about their planning being interrupted but Aro wanted to see them and what Aro wanted he got. She didn’t have any problem with Aro and she didn’t mind him. She thought of him as a father figure as he took them in at a young age, and they were living with him. Alec didn’t seem to think the same thing, he thought of Aro as he master and that was all. They finally got the main chamber, Alec went in first as he was at the front and Jane followed him in. Jane stood beside Alec, as they stood in front of Aro. Alec didn’t seem to want to say something so Jane decided to. ”Yes master, you wanted us?” she asked politely not wanting to set him off.

Aro smiled delighted to see Jane and Alec enter the main chamber. "Ah, yes, Alec and Jane how wonderful of you to come!" Of course they would have come even they had not wanted to. Not like they would have have a reason for not wanting to come. Anytime Aro requested them they were obedient to come as any guard would. Aro made absolutely sure that the guards remained loyal. Marcus was able to read the relationships within the guard to know for certain if they were loyal. As well as with Chelsea they were able to make certain they remained loyal. Any bonds that started to change could be fixed and made certain hey were loyal once more. Of course Aro knew he would never have to worry about Jane and Alec. They were two of the most prized guard members. Their talents were very powerful and Aro would never allow them to leave. He had known they would have a powerful talent even as humans. And it proved to be very true.
"I have a small request to ask of both of you." Once again Aro knew they would never deny him of any request he may have. Aro knew that with this decision made Alice may see this. Know they were coming to check up on them. How Aro craved to have Alice's talent. So useful! So powerful as well. It was a talent well worth having. He would do absolutely anything to gain such a talent. Aro had never imagined a talent to exist and to find one was most wonderful! And young Edward and Bella both would add so nicely within the guard. So many talents the Cullen's had but they also had a unique create that being half-mortal and half-immortal. The idea still amazed Aro to think such a existence could ever exist. To think anyone could have such restraint! But precious Renesmee was not the only one of her kind. There was Nahuel and his sisters. Joham was a vampire they needed to find. This vampire who seemed so fond of creating such creatures. Though they proved to not be a threat it was still something to consider. They were different, unique not well known. Something Aro most certainly wanted to change.
Aro's features remained friendly and delighted. He was most interesting in finding out about the Cullen's to know if they were keeping their secret. To see if they could find some reason to destroy them. It would be such a waste to destroy them but they had so many talents and were growing in number. The talents made the fight far to even Aro did not like this. Often if there was a talent Aro wanted within a coven he would find some reason to destroy the coven and be gracious enough to allow one vampire to live and that being the talent he craved. He would find some reason for the Cullen's to no longer exist. He would do anything to gain their talents. It would only be a matter of time. There was nothing Aro did not want that he did not have. It would take time yes, but he would gain the talents or they would be destroyed. Those were the only options the only options Aro would allow.

Being greeted by Aro brought Alec to a stop. He looked at his master, bowing his head first before looking at everyone else in the room. Just the normal guard. Alec's eyes traveled back to rest on Aro, all before he ever said another word. Jane was the one to speak for the twins. The fact that Jane spoke for them both had never bothered Alec. He much preferred to keep his thoughts to himself, saying as little as possible. Letting people fear Jane, while he backed her up. Their plan had always worked best that way, and he knew it would continue to do just that. It was another reason people were so frightened of the two. On top of that, they knew their gifts were powerful, but they had long ago learned how to fight. Not nearly as good as some of the guard, but close enough.
When Aro spoke again, Alec brought himself to stand like a guard. He had known from the beginning they were being sent somewhere, he was just excited to actually be going. A smile broke across Alec's lips, he glanced to look at his sister, when another thought fluttered across his mind. Would they be going to Washington. To see the Cullen's? For once Alec decided to speak up. "Of course Master, anything." He looked at Jane once more, wanting to make sure she would not get upset with him for talking for them. He knew she would not though. Another piece of what Aro had just said floated into his mind. They would be going together. Alec almost sighed in relief but kept his emotions in check instead. No reason to show Aro how much it pained Alec to be away from Jane.
Ever since the beginning the minute Jane was from Alec he worried. He would plot the death of anything that harmed a hair on her head. He knew it was unreasonable and unnecessary, but his vampire mind could handle it. Working on his task and plotting death sometimes intermingled. He should pity the vampires he killed for the Volturi when he was apart from Jane. They did not get to experience the numbing sensation he allowed for those when he was in a good mood, no. They received his ultimate fury, the kind Alec showed to those he killed. No one, except Jane had ever seen Alec this way, for everyone else who ever had was now dead.

Jane would never go against Aro and not do as he asked. It didn’t make him very happy and even though she hadn’t done it before she was not going to try it anytime soon. Even if she was high in the ranks she wouldn’t dare try. Aro was one that goes what he wanted if someone didn’t listen he could easily have then killed. She knew he would kill Jane as she was on the best guards he had but she was going to risk it. No. She wouldn’t leave Alec on his own he would go crazy and wouldn’t be able to stay calm if Aro killed her. He would never be able to stay calm again. Jane was always there holding his hand to help him squeezing it every now and then but if she was gone there would be no-one else to help him the way she did. And that wasn’t something Jane couldn’t bare to see, her own twin suffering. For that reason she would listen to her master and do as he asked. There were other reason for it also but Alec was the main one.
Jane gave a small nod as Aro greeted them both he seem pleased to see them which was a good thing. When Aro was pleased it meant they weren’t in any kind of trouble. This relived her a bit as she wasn’t really in the mood to be destroyed today in fact she was in quite a cheerful mood. This for Jane was quite unusual and didn’t happen often. She normally held no expression but today you could she her face was light up just that little bit. After being able to spend some time with her dear brother it always put her in a good mood. They were pulled apart a little being part of the guard one would have to do a job while the other did a different one and it was always a plus a bonus even when they would be able to spend that time together. She also knew Alec enjoyed it, he was rather protective of her but it had change some what after them being turned which was a good thing. Jane was no able to defend herself by being able to put people in pain and Alec making people not feel anything at all. They were both rather independent now which helped when being without each other.
Aro then spoke; answering her question she had first thought when told that he wanted them. He had a request for them which meant they would be able to go together which was something that didn’t happen very often. But when it did it was always great as the obvious reason they would be able to spend more time together. This was the thing that had worried Jane as she was looking forward to spend the day with Alec well most of it anyway. She normally did the talking as Alec was sort of shy and kept his thoughts to himself. But this didn’t bother her that much as she normally knew what he wanted to say as they were twins after all. She could tell by the way he stood or his expression, or just what the other person said. It surprised Jane a little when Alec spoke but she didn’t mind at all, she actually liked when he talked it was a change for once. Since Alec had spoken she didn’t need to say much as there really wasn’t anything else to say.

Aro smiled at Alec's words of course he expected nothing less from the twins. He expected them to do as he requested as any guard should. They were all made to be extremely loyal to the Volturi and to the leaders. "Most wonderful!" Aro knew he could ask the two to do anything he requested. There could be several things he could ask of them. But the one he would ask was to check on the Cullen's. He was most interested in the half mortal, half immortal child. It was still so very strange to even consider. It was certainly something of interest and something Aro wanted to know so much more about. The Cullen's themselves were of great interest. Alice, Edward, and Bella in particular. There were talents Aro craved but how to gain them was another question all together. There was never a talent Aro wanted that he did not get. The Cullen's would be no exception. It was a simple matter of figuring out how exactly he would gain them. This was something Aro had given much thought.
Alec nor Jane would at all mind going to Forks to check up on the Cullen's. They would have no reason to object to this. "I want you two to check up on the Cullen's. In particular the half mortal, half immortal, Renesmee, I am so very curious about her. We must make sure she has not caused any problems." Aro wanted to find a problem. He wanted to find some reason for them to have to return to visit the Cullen's. He would find some reason. Even if it was false accusation he would come up with some reason. It was very important that the Volturi appeared justified in all their actions. Aro was always looking for ways to gain more power. There was really not question just how far he was willing to go to gain more power. There was nothing he would not give up to have more. The Cullen's were certainly talents he would gain. Though their bond to each other was strong Aro would have to find some other way to gain their talents. Chelsea's influence would not be of much use.
Of course Aro was interested in more than just simply the Cullen's. The shape-shifters were of great interest to Aro. He knew all there was to know about them through Edward's thoughts. There was so different from Children of the Moon. They had completely control over their actions and could be commanded to do something from the Alpha of the pack. Aro had paid close attention to Edward's thoughts as to what Renesmee had shown him all those years ago. The thought of what roughly translated to 'guard dogs' as dear Edward had put it would be most wonderful. Aro could see so many possibilities they could bring to the Volturi. How powerful they could make them appear. Caius certainly would oppose such ideas with his dislike for werewolves. Shape-shifters certainly resembled them but they were far different. The very reason Aro was so very curious in them.

A wave of excitement rushed throughout Alec's body. He felt himself twitch, something he had not done for years, with a desire to begin their task. It would take Jane and him a little while to get to Washington from Italy, but it was well worth it. Plus he would be going with Jane, the one person on this earth he would happily travel with. The two would be able to enjoy one another's company with absolutely no interruptions, and hunt whenever and whoever they wanted. However they choose too. And although Jane was the more sadist of the two, Alec enjoyed getting his fair share of torment in from time to time. The trip was already playing itself out in his mind, and he was ready to bolt out of the main room that moment. Of course, Alec wouldn't, he never showed emotion, so all Aro saw was the small twitch he had given, Jane might better be able to sense her twin's feelings, but he knew other than that he was like a brick wall.
Once again Alec spoke up, "Yes Master, it would be our honor to perform this task for you." Alec gave a slight bow and looked back over at Jane, she too would enjoy this mission as much as him, and then when Alec's attention turned back toward Aro he could see it behind the old one's eyes. There was even more to this mission than the simple checking up on the Cullen's, this was not just about the half immortal, half human, Renesmee Cullen. There was more, but what? Alec wanted to ask, but he refrained. He liked Aro, respected him, served him, even considered him a friend, but... something inside of Alec would never let it's guard down around Aro. He felt that Aro would do all that he could to achieve his greatest desires, and he was aware that Aro did. Which was a perfect explanation as to why he often did not speak his mind around Aro, or attempt to look deeper into his masters thought process. Alec was much happier not knowing. He performed what was asked of him, and he did it happily, he was one of the most informed Volturi guard members along with his sister, and he enjoyed it. But to know Aro's thoughts, that was something even Alec feared.
Instead of speaking his mind, and hoping Jane would Alec stepped back with a small smile on his face. He was still more than pleased about the task the two were being sent on and his mind began doing more than one thing at a time. He was listening all around him, paying attention to his sister and his master, but he was also thinking about someway he could get around Bella. There had to be a way to beat her mind tricks, well of course he could kill her, but Alec knew Aro wanted her alive, unfortunately, well the two could always talk about a way to get around her shield without killing her, it would be a fun discussion for their long journey ahead. Jane liked having her one on one time with her twin brother, as it seemed to be quite rare these days. She knew her brother also liked it but he never said he did nor could you really see it in his face but it was there maybe not visible. But she knew it was hidden inside of him somewhere. He was very much like her in that way. Jane could be either sad or happy and have no expression at all on her face. It annoyed many as they couldn’t work out what she was feeling or thinking, but that made it all the more fun. And one of the reasons she did the other reason being she didn’t like expressing her feelings to others, really the one person she did express them to was Alec and those who could feel her mood or hear her thoughts. She liked to keep to herself instead of telling other she had been that way all her life, which meant it probably wasn’t going to change anytime soon for anyone. She liked herself the way she was and would never change that. If she were to change it, it would for herself.
Aro had told them what he wanted them to do, and of course she was going to do it. The idea of being able to impress him was great! She would be able to get some brownie point with him, well hopefully she would. They were going to Forks, a place she hadn’t been for awhile it was actually a nice place but not a place she would have liked to live in. The Cullen’s seemed to like it and there, as they lived their. Carlisle worked there while the younger ones went to school which was a bit strange, they didn’t need to keep going to school over and over again really Jane didn’t understand it. She hadn’t even gradated once, where as they had several times. They also got along with the humans instead of eating them and would go hunting for animals which was not the lifestyle she would have wanted. The main reason for her wanting to go was the fact that both her brother and herself would be able to go and could continue spending time with one another. It was always rare for them to be sent out together, but when they were they both loved it as they could do something together.
It would quite interesting for them to vist the half vampire half human again. Just to see how much she had changed from the first time they had seen her. If she had it her way the creature would be dead. But of course she was left alive, which made Jane rather annoyed. Although she wouldn’t argue with any of the leaders she wanted to live for Alec sake along with hers. In Jane’s view it was a waste of time going if they weren’t going to destroy anyone, really they got nothing out of the whole thing. Yes, they saw the child but was that really that much of a big deal? Maybe to the three leaders but not to Jane, she didn’t really get much out. Her talent failed one the new vampire that had been changed her name was Bella? Or something the name really didn’t mean anything. Alec spoke again which didn’t both Jane, it never did. ”What would you like us to look for? I mean besides the obvious.” Jane asked. She wanted to look for the smaller things that Aro wanted to know.

Aro expected nothing less from Alec and Jane. They would do as they were told with no complaints. Aro smiled pleased with Alec’s reply they would do what he said with no questions. They would check up the on the Cullen’s. Aro needed to find some reason to visit them once more some reason to destroy them. He would have Alice, Edward, and Bella they had talents he craved. Alice was unique her talent so rare it would be such a wonderful addition! As would Bella and Edward so many possibilities that could form out of those three. Aro would be most pleased to gain them. To have them within their guard. But the question was how to do so? How to make them join their bond for each other was difficult to break. Chelsea could not even penetrate Bella’s shield. That was the problem. Bella. Bella’s talent was so strong that it left problems for Aro. If she had to be destroyed so they gained Edward and Alice perhaps it might be worth it. Even if Carlisle was an old friend of Aro’s it mattered not to him. His need for power was so much greater than anything else.
Though this did not mean Aro would simply do what he wanted. He would eventually yes but he was very careful. Aro wanted to make sure the Volturi appeared justified in all their actions the very reason he was so careful with everything he did. He thought through each situation looking at the pros and cons of each action that could take place. The Cullen’s would be no different. Aro was carefully thinking over them figuring out just what it was he needed to do. Of course more than just the Cullen’s were in Aro’s interested. The shape-shifters as well. Such a unique species so like the Children of the Moon yet so different. There was so much to consider with the shape-shifters alone. They were a very curious species and they seemed so very loyal. Even if they had not agreed that is what it was loyalty. Something that could be used to great use if one simply knew how to do so. But Aro’s main concern was the Cullen’s and their talents. It would not hurt to have dear Jane and Alec check on the shape-shifters as well. Perhaps they would find something of interest within them. How wonderful that would be.
Aro smiled at Jane. ”Ah, Jane, such a comfort you are.” There was much Aro wanted them to find for him. Aro looked at Alec as well he had chosen them for a reason. Out of all the guards they were the most loyal and the most powerful. They were highly ranked and for obvious reasons. Their talents were well known throughout their world. Aro knew they would do everything he requested of them all he had to do was ask. They would never hesitate in any order Aro gave them directly. ”I want you to look for small details. Those that we can use to our advantage.” Aro wanted the Cullen’s it was very obvious and he was willing to do anything to gain them. There was no question just how far he would go to make sure he had all the talents he craved. He had to be careful, however, as he knew Alice could see the future and know what was happing. ”Dear ones, you need to be careful with your actions. Don’t think simply act we don’t want the Cullen’s to have any warning.” Aro did not how long it would take for Alice to know if she already did not. She would see them coming there was no question about that.

A small smile with Aro's continuation of orders. He knew there would be more, something else for the two to do while they were on their mission there. Without being told exactly what details it was that Aro wanted Alec knew. He was in the throne room most of his existence. He knew Aro craved the Cullen's, he craves the half-breed, her entire being was such a mystery to them all, but he also craved the shape-shifters. So loyal the creatures to their Alpha. Even Alec understood that if they controlled the Alpha they controlled an entire pack. And that area contained two packs. Jacob Blacks, and Sam Uleys. Both powerful creatures, neither a match for Alec and Jane. Unless of course Bella Cullen was around. She was a difficult obstacle in their way. One Alec wished he could deal with appropriately. Her talent was useful, but it was also a nuisance when on the opposing side.
Another point was brought up. They were not to think about what they were to do. Surely Alice had already seen Aro telling the two to make a visit to the Cullen's, but if Alec and Jane were careful with their thoughts, if they didn't make any true plans, and just acted on instinct she would not know exactly what was to come. He could muster this easy enough. Letting his vampire side take over had helped him in the past before, and it would help the two again now. This entire mission was already turning into one he felt he would enjoy throughly. It was going to be difficult, obviously, but it was also going to be a test of the twin's talents. Something neither of them had had in such a long time. "Master, if we see an opportunity, do we take it?" He knew the orders were to observe, to give the Volturi justice in the actions they were attempting to take, but still Alec craved revenge on the Cullens for making him feel powerless. To make them feel his gift, while Bella was dead. He craved this.
A quick look at Jane and the blood lust diminished. He knew he needed to keep himself calm, and to be the guard member he was. Though he was also sure Aro would not mind that Alec was already pumped for this task. It was another reason Aro relied on the two. They were eager to complete their missions for him. They would do it to the best of their abilities, and quickly. The twins always did their best to ensure Aro got what he wanted and quickly. They would do their best to ensure he got Alice Cullen, Edward Cullen, and even Bella Cullen. Along with their daughter and hopefully an Alpha. It may not be today or even within the year. But vampires lived for a very long time, as did the shape-shifters. [/blockquote]
