Jasper, like any vampire, did not like food that humans ate. And yet, Leah had somehow convinced him to accompany her to a restaurant to get something to eat. In turn, he was going to convince her to try and make it take out so that he would not have to sit in a place where human food smelled disgusting, and humans smelled delicious. "Can we make this as quick as possible." It was half a question and half of a statement. He wanted to be in and out, but he knew Leah liked to take her time and the fact that he could not bear to be around humans may only encourage her to take longer.
He opened the door for her, allowing her to enter first while he followed. The restaurant was fairly busy. Great. Just his luck. The mixed smell of food and humans was strange. Unfortunately, the scent of human blood was dominating the room, and Jasper had to hold his breath so that the smell would not be as strong. It did not quite work, but it was all he could do. He was very close to waiting outside for her, but remaining a gentleman, he planned to pay for Leah's meal and had no intention of giving her his wallet. "Please, order quickly," he said in a very low voice, hoping she could understand his current discomfort due to the environment.

"Yeah, yeah, yeah." Leah muttered as they walked down the sidewalk to the place were she wanted to eat. She was dressed in her favorite boots, jeans and a sweater. It was closer to way she used to dress, but this time her sweater was made of thin material and the sleeves were pushed up as far as they could go. When she was human (Fully human) she had dressed in layers, and thick dressy clothing. When she went wolf she went between trailer trash jean cut offs, or jeans and a tank top. Hanging out with Jasper, she tended to dress a bit more normal. The Cullens were always worried about blending, so Leah was very warm in her clothing but she would suck it up so the no one bitched to hard.
When Jasper opened the door for her she didn't blink, in the early days of their (What should they call this?) friendship? Leah would stand there until he shut the door and let her open it him self. She didn't want a knight in glittering skin, in any way shape or form. Now she just saw it as whatever, freak of leech wanted to be her servant let him.
A familiar scent his her noise but she couldn't place it. Like she knew it well but the scent was wrong in someway. It made it hard for her to place. She knew it was someone, but she was planning to avoid someones, so she ignored the scent. Leah picked up one of the menu's while Jasper whispered. She ignored him, but understood his meaning as she shifted closer to him. Let him get a whiff of her! Leah also moved one of the many scent candles so it sat right under Jasper's noise. Maybe he would be to annoyed with the smells and to worried about the fire to think of the 30 hearts beating not far away.
"Ok-" Leah spoke to the order taker, "We are getting this to go and it's gonna be a large order as we have allot of people at the house waiting for some grub-" Another words, just her and MAYBE Seth or Jake could snack on it, "-I think we will take four of the house steaks; VERY well down-" Leah winked a Jasper, "-Burn them so they don't smell like meat if you can. Then three steaks as raw as it's legal to serve and four more just in the middle. For sides we will take eight baked potatoes, and three mac-n-cheese, and all eleven of thses meals need to come wiiiittttthhhhhh. . . . .. . "
"Cherry pies." Leah grinned and handed the menu to the order taker before looking over at Jasper and grinning. Unlike her earlier comments about not wanting anything from the leeches (even going as far as sending Esme's cooking and clothing down the creek) Leah had no trouble with JASPER being the one to foot the food bill. Other things she still rather do her self, and she would let the 'others' buy her food.
What was that smell? Leah's eyes scanned the room while Jasper paid; and what they found made her grin.

Things in Paul Moran's life was perfect. He was married to the love of his life, with two infants. Who ever thought he would turn into the family guy; certainly not him. He never planned for this kind of future, but everything had changed since the moment he had imprinted . . . and then the moment he found out Rachael was pregnant (not one of his most proud moments, but a life changing one no doubt). He was still in La Push, but no longer phasing. The wolf days were long behind him, and though he missed certain aspects of it, he wouldn't trade what he had now to relive those days.
He was holding Rachael's hand from across the table and smiling, enjoying this romantic dinner. It was their fifth wedding anniversary, and Paul was enjoying the time they had alone, and appreciating the fact that both their parents lived very close by and could therefore watch the kids whenever they needed them to. Paul was getting ready, building up to the moment when he would present Rachael with an anniversary gift (something that cost him way more than what he could afford but being a deputy certainly had its perks) and go on about how much he loved her.
He was about to speak when he suddenly became distracted. He shouldn't have been. His full attention should have been on Rachael, but there was a familiar voice and the main reason he had picked up on it was because of all the food she was ordering. He wanted it to be his imagination, but he wasn't sure what was worse . . . imagining she was here and therefore going insane, or seeing her actually here. He reluctantly turned his head and to his dismay, she was here. Paul quickly glanced back at Rachael. "Hey, do you wanna go somewhere else?" He asked abruptly. He wanted to leave before Leah and . . . . . . was she with a leech?! Yes, Paul was going to have to convince Rachael to leave before she saw them, or they they saw her.

Rachael was looking over the menu trying to mentally add up prices in her head and decided what she wanted that was at a fair price, when Paul spoke. She looked up at him in a mild sort of shock and confuses (but not overly, over the years Rachael had just learned sometimes Paul acted off the thoughts in his head even if his actions made no reasonably or logical since). "I like it here, we waited almost a half hour for this table, why do you want to go?"
"Is everything ok, Paul?" She asked trying to find out why he suddenly changed moods from happy and calm to whatever this was. There was a tense set to his body, as if he was getting ready to jump at something or he was braced for something to jump at him. Maybe it was just her mind playing tricks on her. Maybe he was just being to still? [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

Jasper could have sworn that he breathed fire. The smell of humans, wolves, random food . . . and now candles, was absolutely sickening. He needed to get out of here. He was not sure how long he would last in this environment. Maybe he could wait in the car. He avoided eye contact with the waiter. He smelled delicious . . . oh dear. This was positively awful. He needed to get out of here as soon as possible, but with the abundant amount of food Leah ordered, it would be a while until they left. Jasper handed the server his credit card and watched him walk off with it to swipe it through and bring the receipt which required Jasper signature . . . if it hadn't, Jasper would have gone to the car.
He looked at Leah and noticed she was focused on something. He followed her gaze as it rested on Rachael Black and Paul Moran. Jasper had become friends with Rachael, but had not seen her in some time. Paul on the other hand . . . was not a wolf Jasper conversed with. His views on vampires were less than accepting. Leah had a grin though, and Jasper truly hoped she was not planning to approach them and ruin their date. Jasper would not mind saying a quick hello to Rachael, but he had a feeling that Leah would not make it a brief encounter. "Perhaps we should go?" He said, trying to speak as little as possible so that he would not have to breathe in the horrible scents that filled the restaurant.
