The sun was slowly coming up, and turning the dark dangerous roads into the beautiful country side La Push was, around the same time the little blue bug came into town. Rachael was scared, confused and a little angry however it all came out the same way, and only made her look unsure and shy. She had always struggled with how to display her emotions, and sometimes she got her emotions out healthy, while others she still had trouble with.
The past few days, were troubled days. How did one react to the news that her boyfriend could turn into a wolf bigger then her car? Worse yet, how did that same girl handle the news her baby brother was one of them? Rachael was a very smart girl, so in the brief conversation she had with Paul before she left town; she knew enough to know the stories her Dad used to tell them as children, were real, she just didn't know how real.
She wanted to find Paul, and both apologize for her freak out, as well as try to assure him she would stay around and try to figure out what this meant for them. However she needed answer to some questions before she did. And their was one person she was brave enough to bully.
No matter how shy she was in high school, Rachael never felt shy around her family, and Jacob had been one she felt especially at ease with. Maybe the most at ease in times. Her Dad while they were close, she had not known how to help him move on with his sadness, and then his sickness that took away his ability to walk. With Rebecca, she felt very at ease with but Becca was so much larger then life at times. Very un shy and bold. Jacob had been younger, more down the earth, and at times smarter then their sister.
Jacob had been the hardest to leave when she had left, he had been so young and she knew the weight what would come on him when her and Becca had left the house. But she could no longer stay.
The little blue bug came to a stop out side of the house, and Rachael all but fell out in her hurry to find Jacob Black and make him tell her everything. [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

Jake had been running through the forest in a frenzy. His sister had all but left because ignorant Paul had bluntly showed her what she was instead of easing it on to her. So, not only was he a wolf, he was an angry ticked off wolf with a bit of an attitude. But, upon hearing a car pull up to the front of his house (as he was in the woods just beyond it), he ran o the edge of the forest and stood there. He watched the scenario that he knew was going to have to happen sooner or alter. He was going top have to confess everything to his sister.
Jake made sure no one was looking, when he ran across the dirt that led from the forest to the house. He quickly rounded the back of the house, making sure to not be scene by Rachael. Then, he quickly turned back into his human self and jumped in the house through the window. Once inside, he quickly changed to some decent clothes and walked over to the front door. He opened it just as Rachael was about to unlock it. The house was locked, but he was sure that she still had a key. His dad wouldn't take it away from her. "Hey, Rach. Where have you been?" He asked trying to act normal.

Rachael felt her self jump slightly at Jacob's voice having not heard him silently moving to the door to open it. In the dark, he was almost scary with his deep voice and rather large frame. Rachael would never be afraid of Jacob, but Paul said anger takes over and sometimes they lose control. Emily. "Jacob! I need to talk to you!" She whispered not walking to wake their Dad, who did not sleep far from the door. "In your garage."
Rachael took a few steps back before turning and walking around the house. She tired to bring up her anger but at the sight of Jacob it had left her for the moment. Maybe it was shock in having more proof. His size was another part of his. Paul, Sam (Goodness Sam was big) and Jared, even Jacob's buddies Embry and Quil were all crazy tall, and well built. Rachael was sure from that alone they were all wolves, that and how they traveled together. It was hard to think of her kid brother as a car sized animal.
When she had gotten home for the first time in three years, she had seen Jacob and thought 'WOW, my baby brother is not a kid anymore' as her eyes had went wide in shock. She had teased him of course about it, saying he would not even fit into her small city apartment. Knowing now what it meant, she felt sad, and afraid for him as well as anger for not being told. She should have been home to help take care of her family while whatever had happened to them happened.

Jake shook his head. He knew what she wanted to talk about. It was bound to come out sometime. He followed her to the garage and opened it. Once coming in, he flipped on the lights and pulled out two chairs. One for him, one for her. He also went to the mini-fridge in the garage and grabbed soime sodas and food. he was always hungry and thristy. It came with being a wolf though.
Jake put all the sodas and snacks between them and sat down. Getting ready for a talk that would take a long time. He looked directly at her and waited for her to start. He really wouldn't know where to start. There was so much to the story and life of the shape-shifters.

He was being so casual about this all that Rachael wanted to scream. She wondered if he knew what she was going to ask him, knew what she wanted to know? Maybe he didn't and just thought she was having one of her emotional break downs. She watched him pull her out a seat and she silently shook her head at it, not wanting to sit down. She felt stronger standing up. She watched him get some drinks and snacks and thought of how Paul was always eating. . . how Jacob and the others were always eating?!
"Is that another symptom?" She asked as if what they had, was a sickness that could be cured. "The always eating, as if you never get enough?" Wondering if he even knew what she meant she went on, her voice lacked the anger from when she had pulled into the drive way. It was easier to be angry and brave alone in your car then when faced with people. The plan of bullying the story out of Jacob had disappeared the moment she saw him. Jake nodded his head when his sis chose not to sit down. He leaned back in his chair. After he took a sip of the soda, he put it in the cup holder that was on his chair. Then he started on his first bag of chips. When his sister mentioned a symptom, he froze. Was she talking about being a shape-shifter. He automatically started to feel the trembling that happened when he was about to faze. Of course he was mad. Mad at Paul for not explaining things to her. Jake was thinking about hurting him now. But, right now would not be the best time. His sister was here and he had to help her not hurt her. If Jake was to hurt Paul then he might not be able to explain to his sister about these things.
Jake turned to his sister. He sat up in his chair so that he could look her straight into the eyes. "Yes, it is. Is there anything else you would like to know. I will explain the best I can no matter the question." Jake said in a voice that was as sincere as his attitude right now. Before he had started to talk to her, he got his temper to not show as much and so that he looked more relaxed then ever before. He had taken a few deep breaths which really helped him. Now, he was ready for anything.

She watched him for a moment before speaking, "It's true?" She whispered, having hoped it wasn't in some small way. Her brother was some sort of wolf. She wasn't sure what to say or do. She wanted to be mad for him, having his childhood ruined, and she wanted to be sad for him, but Paul said he wanted her to be happy for him, because he loved it. Did Jacob? Rachael wondered why Jacob had ran away! She wondered how long this had been happening! She wondered were she should start asking her questions.
"Oh Jacob. I--" She looked over at him, her eyes torn. "I think, my first question has to be . . . . . has to be about you. I know I am so confused and torn and frightened out of my mind and this is not even happening to me! I don't want to say the wrong thing, or anything. Paul said it was hard to control? He said it was a risk for me to be around him, but that he couldn't not take the risk." Was it a risk for her to be here with her own brother, her own flesh and blood? She knew she was rambling and off topic now. She hoped he was happy or was finding peace, but was worried he was not since he had just ran away. [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Jake took a deep breath and began the conversation that he knew was bound to happen sometime or another. "Rachael relax. It's actually quite simple..." So, began the longest conversation that he had had with his sister in a long time. "For some people, that get angered quite easily, it is hard to control. For others, they learn to control almost right away. Those people are mainly the alpha's and beta's of the pack. They can turn whenever they want. They know when they have to leave the situation before it gets worse." Jake paused for a second.
Then, he took a gulp of soda which finished it off. Then, Jake continued. "Leah and Paul and two of the shape-shifters that are still trying really hard to control it. The rest of the group and I are pretty much under control now. We know when to back off or leave so that we are not around others when we change. Yes, we do have those times when we just get to mad to stop it sometimes." Then Jake remembered about the time I left. "You are in no danger at all near me. I would never hurt my own sister or father for that matter."
"Do you remember the time I left for those two weeks? If I remembered correctly, you still lived here. It was when all my symptoms of changing started to happen." Jake waited a couple of seconds to see if his sister remembered. "Well, those two weeks that I was gone, I had been going through the transformation. The first time, it is extremely painful. You have to stay like a wolf for a couple weeks. So, I hunted and grew as a wolf. Then, when I was able to fully relax, I was able to change back. Back then it took as least 30 seconds for me to fully change. Now I can change in a little over 3 seconds. It is really quite amazing." Jake stopped and looked at his sister, waiting for her to say something, anything at all. As long as she didn't stay quiet.

Rachael was shocked t learn LEAH was a wolf. Leah and Rachael had not been friends in high school, Rachael being the shy smart girl who never fit in and Leah being miss popular. Rebecca had been friends with her. Still to learn there were girl wolves worried Rachael. She wondered what she had done to not be one as well. Was it because she left?
She also, sadly did not recall Jacob being missing before this last time. It must have been when she was leaving for school or had just left maybe. She had been gone for over two years, and come home to . . . .
"You like this?" She asked hesitantly. Wondering if she understood this. How could anyone enjoy being turned into a large wolf? "You don't care you turn into a gray wolf bigger then my car?" She called him grey because she had only seen Paul as a wolf, and he was gray. She assumed Jacob was as well. Rachael also knew, that everyone was bigger then her little blue bug, but Paul was been closer to twice it's size. "Paul has more trouble controlling this?" If he did, and he was being honest when he said he was dangerous for her, would she stay away? Rachael didn't want to, but she was afraid. [/blockquote] ((Icons not of my own making. Jake then got up from his chair. He could sense how worried his sister was. "Rachael, Paul could never hurt you. I have seen you in his thoughts all the time. He worries about it, but I always tell him that he won't. His temper only rises with other members of the pack. I have seen you and him together. His eyes are filled with nothing but love for you." Jake hugged his big sister. Of course she wasn't taller then him now, but he would always look up to her.
Then, he released her. Upon hearing her talk about being bigger then her car, he laughed. "Well, I am not that big yet. I am also not gray. I am more of a russet brown color. Yes, I do like it. It makes me feel free. Like nothing can hold me back. Like I can finally almost get rid of all my worries." Jake stopped there, lost in thought about his wolf side.
Then Jake thought of a comparison to base his size on. Thinking of none, he just thought of a height that seemed to work. "If I was to say how tall I was as a wolf, at the shoulder, it would have to be around 5'8". That might be a little taller, but I haven't ever really measured my wolf side." Jake laughed at this thought. Come to think of it, I might actually be bigger then her car. I will let her come to that conclusion on her own though. Jake looked at his sister, it felt so good to know that she was safe here.
