Alec looks identical to his sister, having pale skin and blood-red eyes, though his lips aren't as full as his Jane's, and he has dark brown hair. Alec wears his hair short , and it is always styled appropriately. He has been called angelic looking and beautiful since he appears young due to be changed at such a young age. He tends to wear older style clothing and tops them off with either a blood red cape or a black one depending on certain factors.

Of the twins, Alec is a lot less sadistic than his sister. He is extremely quiet, but has a sense of humor humans would not appreciate. Though he is sometimes mistaken for the nicer twin, he isn't. Alec keeps his thoughts to himself, and is very calculating. He is always plotting his next move, and refuses to loose, if something does happen to bother him he keeps it more to himself than actually showing it with his facial features. Instead he just plans a way to take revenge at a later date.
Alec shows little to no compassion for how other people feel, all except Jane. His love for his sister is unrivaled, and well known. He would first turn against Aro and the whole guard before laying one hand against his twin. He kills whoever his sister asks him to without mercy, as she does for him. He is well aware him and Jane are the most feared duo, and he takes pride in that.

Alec has an extremely powerful gift which is equally powerful as his twin Jane's. He has the ability to cut off a person's senses. He can make them blind, deaf, and numb to any feeling if he wishes to. When he uses his gift, it appears in the form of a clear hazy mist. Unlike Jane's power, Alec can cut off a multiple number of people's senses while Jane can only inflict her power on only one person in her focus. Also, Jane's power works immediately while Alec's takes time to creep up. Making their gifts the perfect opposite to the others. When the Volturi choose to be generous, they allow Alec to "numb" the vampire when executed.

Alec and Jane grew up together in a small village. The two loved one another, and relied on each other to survive. As they grew older they realized they had strange abilities that could effect the people around them, and it was these abilities that caught Aro's, one of the leaders of a coven by the name of Volturi, attention. Aro has always been one to seek out human's with raw, powerful abilities. He kept an eye on the twins, knowing he was going to change them, he just wanted to let them grow up a little first.
When the twins reached the age of twelve the town they were living in began to watch them more closely. They feared the gifts the children possessed and claimed the two were using some form of witchcraft. The town then decided to take swift action, and attempted to burn the twins at the stake. Aro was then left with no option but to turn the two.
The town that Alec grew up in was torn to pieces by Aro and his current guards. He was annoyed with the fact that human's would waste such useful gifts, so they paid the ultimate price: death. After three days of pain Alec woke and found his sister not far from him. Though all he could think about at the time was a thirst that he had never felt before. Aro supplied the twins with fresh meat, a couple of villagers saved just for them. The two enjoyed their first meal and listened as Aro explained what they had become and the rules they must follow.
After about a year of hunger that Alec felt would never subside, he grew out of his newborn phase. Aro had offered him and Jane positions on his guard and the two accepted without question. Aro handed the two robes, and the two went to training, making their abilities unstoppable. They received the highest honors a guard could receive and they never left one another side, and they both knew that forever the two would stand just there; side-by-side.
