"Good," he responded when she said that her answer was a yes. He wondered if he would have been able to get that answer had he not been holding her pants hostage. "And now, the second condition," he said, that flirtatious tone returning as he built up the moment. Which he could easily do just by fixating his gaze on her. "A second date tomorrow." Just in case he screwed up tonight's date, which he could easily do. The real reason was that he wanted that guarantee of seeing her tomorrow as well as tonight. He wanted to make sure of that. He wanted to ensure that her plans consisted of spending time with him and no one else.
He didn't realize he could be so possessive over someone he had just met. Or well, reunited with -- even though they weren't really friends or had any sort of interactions since school. But he did feel that way about her. And when Paul wanted something, he would do whatever it took to get it. Right now he wanted her company. And wasn't about to risk losing it to anyone else.

His other request what another date? "You want to plan a next date before you know how the first one goes?" She asked, trying to find the angle, or reason he would ask her. There had to be one right? Paul Lahote didn't just ask girls for two dates for no reason, right? Rachael wondered if this was about Jake, and about how Jake and Paul where friends now. But Paul wasn't the type to do something for someone. Was he?
Even though she was trying to find the reason, she still felt a bit of excitement building, and anticipation. What would they do on a date? Then on another one!? Would he even want another one after the first? What if she wasn't witty or fun? "Why don't we see how the first one goes, then agree to whatever comes after that?"
