Emily wrung her hands feeling so very strange. usually when she made plans with people, she'd be in the kitchen cooking up a storm. Today however she was meeting with Bella at a restaurant. Not only did Bella not consume food, but it was usually frowned upon to bring baked goods into a restaurant that sold them. The restaurant was one of very few in Forks Washington but Emily loved it for it's friendly atmosphere. It was a little dog eared Italian restaurant that served there food the Italian way, in large intimidating portions. Emily could never finish the amount set before her and usually ended up taking left overs back to her cottage, where they didn't last very long. It must have been a splendid restaurant in it's day. The family who owned it had gone all out to make you feel as if you were in Italy. The walls were a soft gold color where the paint hadn't been chipped or scraped off. Fake grapes and ivy hung from the celling, but sometimes fell into your plate, if they decided they'd been up there long enough. There was a fountain at the entrance with a beautiful tiled mosaic, but so many people had made wishes into the pool that the fountain was filled with old coins that covered most of the artful design. It was called "Bella Notte" for which Emily regretted. Poor Bella must have been teased about it as a child, "what are you eating for dinner Bella? Italian?" Lame yet making her feel like an outsider all the same. Emily reached for her keys and came away with nothing. Had Sam taken them, knowing where she was going? Who she was meeting with. She frowned, that would be- childish. She looked over the counters quickly and came back with nothing. She sighed and put her hands in her jean pockets. There were her keys. She instantly felt guilty for blaming Sam. He'd been better lately but she knew it really upset him when she "risked her life" by visiting her vampire friends. She scribbled a quick note to Sam, and to everybody else who just let them selves in and left the cottage, leaving the door un locked. The drive was short but Emily enjoyed it none the less. Any chance she got she'd take her Bug out. It was so fun to drive. She parked out side of the restaurant and made her way inside. After explaining to the matron that she was expecting someone to join her, she took a seat. She flipped through the menu absentmindedly and waited for Bella to arrive.
