Leah was running with all her might. She wanted to phase, and steal Jake's idea of using the wolf side to hide from the emotions of the human world, but Seth and others might be on patrol and the last thing Leah wanted was to share and pretend right now. With her mood, it would only take one wrong move, the wrong word; or hell breathing in wrong and she woulds snap. Leah was honestly afraid that if she snapped around them she would hurt someone. She had enough guilt.
The pain was the only thing keeping her from phasing. The anger was there, building and hurting. The heartbroken pain that she felt; emotionally dead and broken; was the only thing that allowed her to control the phase and stop it from happening.
The pain felt like it was screaming from her! She felt real pain in real places from the emotional pain ripping into her. Betrayal, hate, guilt, heart break, anger. It was killing her, and she wished she knew how to end it.
Leah was not clumsily in anyway but when she got along the road side, between Forks/La Push and Port Angeles she fell along the bank's edge and tried to catch her breath. Running and crying your eyes out, make it hard to inhale.

Jasper was greatly enjoying his new mode of transportation. He had never owned a motorcycle before, mainly because he did not feel the need for it nor did he consider it the preferred mode of transportation for himself. But now that he had one -- all thanks to Edward -- he was using it to his advantage . . . enjoying the speed he could travel at, though his vampire speed was still faster. Had Alice not been off with Rosalie and Esme, he would have invited her to join him on his little ride around Forks -- or wherever he was going to go. But sadly she was not present and he would have to enjoy the ride all on his own.
As he sped through the streets of Forks, he had no idea where his destination lie. Perhaps he would get out of the city for a little while, and be back before it got too late, for he could not stand distance between him and his wife. He certainly would not choose isolation over being with her. As he sped on, he caught sight -- and a scent -- of an all too familiar wolf: Leah Clearwater. Throughout the past several months the two had developed a bizarre friendship; Jasper still could not think of the proper way to describe it, other than bizarre. No one would have ever suspected that these two, out of everyone, would have befriended one another. It was peculiar indeed.
Jasper slowed his bike, but it did not take long for him to grow concerned. The emotions he felt from her, some more evident in the way she was on the ground and the tears that stained her eyes, were rather out of character of Leah . . . well, sort of. Jasper had never seen her so emotional before. Angry, yes. Bitter, yes. But not this clearly devastated. He was not going to alter her emotions to ease her pain, for sometimes, it was better to express it all and whatever recently happened . . . well, Jasper was not going to meddle with his powers . . . . for now.
"Leah?" He asked her, getting off the bike and going to her side. He may still appear to be a tad bit awkward, but he felt he had made tremendous progress as far as having a 'friend' went. He ignored her smell -- something else he had grown accustomed to -- and stood there, slightly tilting his head to the side. He knew she did not like sympathy from him, so he avoided that. Truth be told, he was not sure how to comfort a crying wolf. He may soon have to find a way. "What is wrong?" Typical question, yet Jasper truly was making an effort in becoming more social and therefore, adapting qualities that enabled him to verbally express the concern he was feeling.

Leah knew she should have walked back into the woods when she heard the bike and smelled the almost painful scent of a vampire. She wasn't in the mood to talk and hated others seeing her like this; which was why she had not phased. Jasper was a Cullen, even if he was the lest 'to perfect and to rich' one. She wasn't in the mood for leeches. She opened her mouth to say something bitter and hateful. Something so evil that it would make him walk away from her.
She ended up drawing a blank and not knowing what to say. Gritting her teeth and looking away she wanted so bad to be able to hurt him, make him feel a tenth of the pain she was now! If only she could hit him, or break him make him feel pain, but leeches were like ice rock. Frozen and solid.
Leah had the brief idea of trying to make him feel how she felt by trying to misuse his power, but she wasn't sure how; and honestly she didn't have the energy.
She glanced behind her at his bike, noticing she had not seen him on that before, and then looked back down at the ground. The normally bitter, mouthy, bitchie and bold Leah; for once had nothing to say.
(Ok, Leah never had nothing to say,) "Just leave me alone." She said her voice breaking over the tears and emotion in her voice. "Go home and don't tell them you saw me."

Jasper was not sure what to do with that. On one hand, he probably should let her be for he did not want to force her to talk. On the other hand . . . how could he just leave her like this, in so much pain? Perhaps he could not do anything to help, or say anything to comfort her . . . but he felt that leaving abruptly and keeping his encounter with her a secret, was the wrong decision. "I do not wish to disturb you." An ironic statement since that was what he was technically doing right now.
He turned, returning back to his bike. Before he sat on it, he stood next to it and turned back to face her, suddenly getting an idea. "Would you like a ride . . . somewhere?" La Push was small, perhaps she wanted to get out of this place. . . he was unsure, but offered. He also knew that he would have to greatly control himself for the powerful emotions she was experiencing . . . well, Jasper did not even want to consider what he could potentially do with that much anger and sadness in him.

Leah shot an annoyed glance over at him. Yeah, like she wanted to ride around on this bitch seat, while the wind blew his scent back at her and up her noise. Cause that would so top off her day, being seen as a vampire's bitch. Leah looked away for a moment, planning to ignore him while the thoughts of her having to sit that close to him turned her emotions from the heartbreak to the broken and bitter. She would just ignore him until he went away. That was her plan. Sit here and pout and then try running the heck away from--
Away! She looked back at the bike, then at Jasper running a plan in her mind. Could she steal it? No, Jasper was creepy good. Damn it. Leah wiped some tears from her face and pushed off the ground. "Where you heading to?"

Jasper felt her annoyance -- nothing new it did not take much to annoy this wolf -- but her emotions were clearly stronger today than they usually were. Jasper would not vocalize or question any of the emotions he was feeling from her. He was not going to inquire into her private affairs. She knew he could feel what she was feeling . . . it was what brought that on that Jasper was unclear about. "Perhaps out of Washington." Something told him that she wanted to get as far away from here as possible. "Unless you have a preferred destination?" He stood next to his bike, passing her a helmet. It was rather funny to be wearing a helmet when he was immortal, and she could easily heal herself . . . but laws were laws.

"I don't care." Leah barked out, "Just away. Far away." Leah tossed her leg over the bike and sat back on the 'bitch seat' and glared at him while he pretended to be human. She was not gonna put nothing on to protect her self. Nothing could hurt her at this point; at lest not as bad as she had been hurt. The pain of hitting something hard would at lest be a nice change.
"I get leeches are to perfect to crash, but if you have to crash this thing, aim for something hard." Leah paused, "Or a cliff." Either way if it didn't kill her; it would at lest give her something else to think about.

Jasper was not going to crash into anything, but there was no point in saying that. He was not going to start an argument. And she already was rather agitated. Once she was seated, he set off, going as fast as the bike would permit him too, this time, staying within the legal limit was not one of his concerns. He was not sure where he was going; all he knew was that he was going out of the state. Besides, they could be back before anyone noticed they were that far away. "Would you like to stop to eat something?" He asked, after several moments of silence. Jasper was not good at verbally comforting people and so he felt that silence -- for now -- had been the best way to go. But he also knew that Leah had a substantial appetite so perhaps food was something she craved right now.

Leah's voice was flat, and cold when she spoke. "Just shut up and drive." However her emotions told a different thing. Part of her was afraid, part of her was still bitter and sad, but a smaller part was glad to not be alone. Even if it was just in this silence. Leah would never admit it and she might not even have realized it her self but she was afraid of what she might do if left alone.
Not so much to her self, but to anyone she spoke to. She knew she was a bitch, and could make people cry in record time with only words. She knew just what buttons to hit, what words to say, and what time to say it at. In a few swift moves, she could unman men if she wanted. And Leah was starting to feel the effects. When you pushed everyone away so they didn't see you were hurt; you were alone.

Jasper wanted to do something to ease her pain, but refrained himself from interfering . . . in supernatural ways that is. He had already interfered by offering her a ride away from here, but using his abilities on her was a whole other matter. He complied with her command, though it sounded like something that one said to a hostage. He continued to drive in silence, quietly deciding where their next stop was going to be. He would deal with the human scent if they were to stop at a restaurant; at least it would be somewhat of a distraction if they were far from here, in a new environment, and one which had food in it, something wolves always liked. In the meantime, he would just drive, as far away from here . . . for now.
