Edward wasn't sure where exactly he was perhaps somewhere close to the South. Edward hadn't gave it a great deal of thought and it was not like he really cared at the moment. Edward was on a rebellion it seemed. He was tired of drinking the blood of animals he wanted to not exist in such a way. He thought he could cheat by simply hunting those humans he deserved to die. But it did not seem it was working out so. Edward was slowly realizing nothing could rid him of all the humans he had killed. Even if they truly should be destroyed. Nothing to change what he was feeling. He truly missed his father and mother as he had come to know them. They were the closest thing he would ever have to parents and he knew he would never want anyone else. But for them to accept him after all he had done. He was not sure if they would or not. All the humans he had killed over the past few years. It would never go away all the innocent lives whether they had done wrong or not.
Edward was in a average sized village it was nighttime the easiest time for his kind to hunt. But he was quickly loosing the will to hunt. To hunt humans at least. Why should he? When there was a much better way. He could not get rid of the guilt of killing so many. He knew it would be only a matter of time before he was to go back to his family. Before he tried to figure out if they would accept him back or not. Carlisle was always compassionate perhaps he would but would Esme? Edward knew there was no reason to question they would accept him no matter what he did. They were better than he deserved. After just leaving them so quickly not even give them a chance. He shouldn't have left. He should have stayed with them stayed to their way of life. The way of life he was longing for. The blood of humans was so much better than animals but how could he ever erase the guilt he was feeling? Even if he was a predator he simply had no will to hunt.
Edward had been reading the thoughts of a few humans about but this was not the only thing Edward picked up. Edward could smell the scent of a vampire. Edward was more cautious with this new knowledge he wasn't afraid of course not. But he knew to be careful if he was in anothers territory this may not be a good thing. Edward finally picked up a the thoughts of another human one who's thoughts were unclean. The same as every other human he had hunted. This human would be no different. Edward followed him the human still unaware. Why was he hunting him? What was the point? He did not want to kill anymore. There was woods close by. It would be so easy he could find a deer or something! Anything other than this human he so happen to come across. He should go back to his family even if he feels undeserving of them.

Maria was walking down the streets with one arm looped around the arm of the men on either side of her. They kept leaning in and whispering loudly in her ear about all the wicked things they wished wished to do to her. They had been in shock and awe when they first saw her and slowly had gotten relaxed. They were drunk now so the natural human fear was hidden behind bad judgment. They were talking about ropes and bindings and all sorts of naughty things they would not get a chance to do because Maria was going to turn them not into love pets, but a meal.
She started picking up the scent of another of her kind, and the further they got down the street the stronger the scent got. She kept looking around for the source of the scent even though she knew she was a bit further down. Finally after a few moments she knew she was very close. So close that any moment she knew she would be able to see him or her. Him most likely. Maria had learned to tell manly scents from feminine scents. She had been wrong only a few times, but most times she was right. When you lived for the hunt, you learned to know what you were hunting.

Edward was thirsty yes, but he did not have the will to feed off the blood of humans any more. Each time he did he felt worse and worse instead of filling full as he should. Sure his thirst was satisfied for the time being but it only be a matter of time before he would be forced to take the life of yet another human. No matter if they deserved death or not. Edward thought he could hunt humans that truly deserved to die but even if he did this it could not erase the guilt he felt. It was not his place to kill humans even if they truly deserved it. How could he ever go back on everything he had been taught so easily? He had left Carlisle without a second thought thinking he deserved to be able to live off the blood of humans. They had always been so appealing but he had not fed from them. Not until a few years ago. A few years was a long time to feed off humans. He could not any longer. Even if he was here to hunt he could not hunt.
Edward knew Carlisle and Esme would both take him back willingly. Even if Edward did not feel as if he deserved to be accepted back as easily as they would. They were his parents in ever sense of the word. He could not imagine two better people. Edward could not remember much about his human life. He could remember vaguely his mother and father but for the most part they were completely faded. He could only remember how exactly they looked from Carlisle thoughts. Though now Carlisle and Esme were his father and mother and he could not imagine two other people as such. They were very caring and truly loved Edward as if he was their own son. He should have never left them. It had been wrong of him he understood that. He felt as if he would have to beg for their forgiveness but he knew that would be necessary they would forgive him once the words slipped out of his mouth.
Edward turned his attention to the vampire he could hear clearly. She was had two humans whose thoughts were most unpleasing. To think such upon a lady was not something Edward had been raised to accept. These would be the mortals Edward would be willing to kill. But still his need to hunt was strong but he had no will to hunt. He did not want to take another life. He knew he was far from the forest he had become accustom to hunting in with his parents. He could find some animal he was certain he could control his thirst that much at least. Edward turned his attention to the vampire listening to her thoughts carefully. He did not know if this was another vampire's territory or not. He paid little attention the two humans that were with her they meant nothing. While his throat burned he could not kill them. He did not want to kill another human again. His mind was made up he would return to his parents. "Is the territory claim?" Edward question not like he was planning on hunting her any longer, but he had originally came here to hunt.
