Aro really did love his sister. But he could not let her live. There had been no other option. He had given her this life. He made her immortal. And yet she repays him by deciding to run off with Marcus. Aro had acted calm perhaps even happy for his sister and his 'brother' as he called Marcus. Marcus had never suspected a thing and never would. Marucs was far to valuable he could not risk losing him. He was needed. Aro would not lose any of his power. Aro had always known he would do anything for power, but never thought he would end up killing his sister. Aro had to plan everything through. He had to make sure no one would find out. He had to make absolutely sure Marucs would remain loyal. He used Chelsea to make Marcus loyal the Volturi. Aro would not lose him. After Marcus had revenge for Didyme he became empty. As long a she would stay as long as Aro had his talent that is all he would be concerned with.
Aro had made it seemed like she was slaughtered in a battle. That he had no way of knowing this would happen. Aro had to have some story something to cover up what he had done. To not show just how power-hungry he really was. They knew he would risk anything for power. He had even risked killing his sister having to hide this secret. Something no one will ever find out about. Something Aro would make sure no one would find out about. However, there was one small problem with this. One of his guards Evelyn could know a person's past simply by looking at them. He had some choices to consider. He could destroy her. Make the excuse her thoughts were leading to be betrayal whether by leaving the Volturi or by breaking the rules. He would come up with something. Or he could allow her to live. But much trust would have to be put in her. He would have to make certain she would never reveal this secret. It was risky could he take such a chance?
Aro was going to speak with Evelyn personally with no other guards around. Aro could not risk anyone hearing what may be said. What he may have to do. He may be having to kill her as well. He cannot allow this to be known. He will not hesitate to kill a guard to keep his power. Marcus cannot find out. Marcus must think he has received his revenge that there is nothing more he can do. Evelyn's power was so very useful, but with recent events it would be a danger for him. A danger he can not allow.

Evelyn was quite shocked, to be honest with herself. Killing a member of the Volturi guard was pretty damn bad, but of the actual family was like a death wish! She felt sympathy for Marcus, loosing his mate like that. That was something that she would never admit though, unless tortured (probably by Jane) into admitting it. She hated showing her kind side, it made her feel like a wimp. Vulnerable. She could go on and on with a list, but showing emotions wasn't exactly her forte. She was usually to cruel anyway to have emotions.
Though, the pale blonde was a little suspicious about it. Something that just seemed off about Didyme's sudden death, but what Evelyn couldn't place her finger on. She merely stood there thinking, not paying much attention to her surroundings. She could be a pretty deep thinker on things like this, but with most things she didn't think before she did something. She was more of the act now, think later type of person. Except with her words, she was exceedingly cautious. It probably had to do with the fact she wasn't to talkative around others.
Sighing softly to herself, Evelyn ran her fingers through her hair as a habit when she was in thought. She had been looking so 'politely' into others peoples past to see if they had anything to do with it, but so far nothing. She was more hesitant to look into the actual family's past, unsure if she wanted to know that badly. She shook her head softly to herself. She wanted to know if what they had merely said was true, or if something different had happened. She believed them, but something had just seemed off about it.

Aro could allow Evelyn to live after all she was useful. Aro could have some general idea about the people around him without having to touch them. He wouldn't know that much detail about them simply know what they had seen by reading Evelyn's thoughts. It was similar to Marucs' in a way. Marcus allowed him to know bonds of others know who was loyal to who. Figure out who the leader of a coven that opposed them. So many uses Marucs' talent had. The very reason he could not afford to lose him. The reason he was forced to destroy his sister. Aro did love Didyme she had been his biological sister. She was always happy and wanted nothing more than to be happy on her own. But she had been tired of Aro's need for power. Aro had watched her closely her thoughts slowly changing. The need to get away from it all. Even taking Marcus. It angered Aro slightly. He had given her this life and she wanted to take his power. He needed Marcus she should have understood, but now she never would or could. There was no going back.
Aro did not regret killing his sister. He needed his power to much. He needed to keep it. There was not a price to high. He may even have to destroy Evelyn. He would soon find out her reaction. He would know the best plan. If he destroyed her it may make everything that much easier. He wouldn't have to worry about her. He wouldn't have to concern himself with her slipping. With her telling anyone. He would know for certain she could never tell anyone. He would do anything to make sure this secret was kept. No one should ever know about this. Aro was the only one who knew. None of his brothers would ever find out. Not even Aro's wife, Sulpicia, knew about this. It was a complete secret. Until he came into Evelyn's view. Then everything would change. She would know. Someone would know. A danger Aro did not want.
Evelyn had been a loyal guard members she was very useful. But he could do without her. If it meant he could keep his power and this secret he would destroy her. He would do it himself. He had no problem killing others. It was easy. Aro made sure there were no other guards before he approached Evelyn. Once she looked at him, when he came into her sight she would know. She would know exactly what he had done. It was truly and unsettling thought. A dangerous one as well. He did not want her to know. "Evelyn," Aro stated as he came to stand before her. Aro was still uncertain what choice he would come to. Destroy her or let her live?

The voice of her master wasn't surprisingly, but it's not like she had been expecting in. Evelyn turned around gracefully on her heel to face Aro. The decision was now needed now, to look into his recent past or not. She couldn't help the voice in her mind that told her to take a brief looking, it was a hard one to resist. Temptation. Something she thought that she had mainly taken control of, but things like this were harder. They were also much more important to know, sometimes they could be a life or death situation for that matter.
"Yes master?" Evelyn answered, her face innocent. She was innocent at the moment, but was about to change that this very second. The temptation for some things were just to hard to resist to know, and this was most certainly one of them. Not knowing things bothered her immensely, why she was not entirely sure. She held back a soft sigh and kept her face clear of emotions, something entirely common. It's not like she was hiding anything, she was just getting prepared to hide something. Though if he merely brushed against her skin that could all change very easily.
Taking a brief glance into Aro's past, Evelyn's eyes widened. That she had not been expecting! He had killed Didyme, she had not died in some soft of past. She quickly returned her eyes to her regular size in the same second, hoping he didn't notice. She doubted that highly though, as vampires were very attentive. Something that wasn't always good, unless you were able to keep a straight face for a really long time. She usually was rather good at that, but that had just shocked her a little too much to think before she reacted.

Aro kept his expression calm as she answered him. Normally Aro would have smiled appeared enthusiastic. But today he was not. He may have to destroy one of his guards and once she read his past she would know exactly why he had come to her. Aro watched Evelyn carefully. For any signs that she had read his past. She could choose not to, but she rarely did. Could he forbid her from ever reading his past? That would make her wonder make her want to know even more. She would read it. Of course if he did tell her this and she disobeyed he could have her destroyed for that. For disobeying an order he gave her. But it would be an order difficult to follow. He was still debating on whether to destroy her or not.
Aro saw her eyes widen for only a second, but that was enough. She had read his past. She knew he killed his sister, Didyme, she was a danger. But would he have to destroy her? "I believe you know exactly why I am here." Aro's tone was completely calm as was his expression. She should not know about what he had done. This is a secret that must be kept at all cost. Even more so then their existence. Aro did not want to think about what Marcus would do if he found out. How he would react. He had killed an entire village in revenge. As long as Marcus keeps believing she died in some battle everything will be fine. But if Evelyn starts to talk well that would present a problem. A problem Aro cannot allow.
"I've been debating on what to do with you." She should understand exactly what he meant. Destroy her or allow her to live. Trust her enough to keep this as a secret or not worry about it at all. He could come up with some reason to destroy her. They often did this. If there was a unique talent they wanted in a coven they would often find a reason to destroy that coven. If the talent was unwilling to come. Aro would spare one life the talent he craved as always. They would think of it as an honor, but this was different. He could come up with several reasons why she had to be destroyed. If he was to destroy her. He was unsure if he could trust her completely or not. There was much to consider.

"The reasoning is obvious enough." No freaking duh! Any person, male or female, human or vampire, in the same situation as Evelyn was would have a faint idea or two about why he was here. Talking to her alone where it was improbable that another guard or anyone really would here them. It would become a much more dangerous situation if another person heard, for all of the people who knew the cause of Didyme's real death. And more importantly who had cause the death. That was most certainly a scandal, conspiracy, which ever you happened to prefer.
Evelyn would have expected no less from Aro. Not to be rude or hypocrital, but being over hungry for power like him wasn't always a good thing. Especially when things turned into a situation like this they would turn rather sour. The Volturi were not forgiving to say the least, so she would not be surprised if he decided to kill her. She would not even fight back, it would be worthless. Especially if anyone heard that it would be a real excuse to kill her. She was not an idiot like some may thought of her, she knew it would be a lost hope to bother to try.
"I do hope you are not so blinded by your power to realize that I am not ignorant enough to prance around shouting the truth." That was the last thing Evelyn would do; she would never truly think about actually do it. Especially the prancing part, it was just to strange for her to think about even doing. She brushed back her pale blonde hair out of her dark crimson eyes. She did not fear death anymore, but that did not necessarily mean she welcomed it. Whatever the outcome ended up being, she would accept it as it was. She would not plead or beg.

Aro's expression was calm, but it did not hold any of the friendliness it usually held. "I would hope so." Aro would hope the reason was obvious he wouldn't need to speak his reason. She would know exactly what he had done. And Aro was here to figure out what he was going to do about that. There was so much to consider. Weighing the pros and cons about what to do.
"You don't have to be 'prance around shouting the truth.' All you have to do is tell one person. One person is all it would take for the truth to be known. And this is a danger. Something I cannot allow." Aro was not going to risk having anyone find out. Perhaps he could trust Evelyn she was useful, but he could afford to lose her. "I would be trusting you not to tell anyone. I'm sure you can imagine what may happen if others find out." Aro was not known to take to many chances. And this matter was far to delicate to allow any risk at all. He could not allow Marucs or any of the other leaders to find out. No one should know. He would be trusting Evelyn to not tell anyone. Could he?
"It would be easier to simply destroy you." Aro stated bluntly. It would be easier he wouldn't have to worry about her accidentally telling someone. If she did he would be sure to fix that and whoever knows. If he was not to late. It was such a huge risk. Aro was not certain he wanted to risk this. This could destroy the Volturi. This could bring them apart. They had worked far to hard to lose it now. Aro had to destroy his sister so they could keep this power. So he wouldn't lose any of it. He needed Marcus more than his sister. It had been logical to get rid of his sister. So Marcus would be more focused on power.

One person. That was completely true. Most people thought one person couldn't make a major difference in someone's life, but that was hardly the case. A few words murmured from one person can make all of the difference. Usually it did end up making a difference in one life if it involved lies, deciet, or death. Words were more powerful than most people thought, sometimes more powerful than strength itself. Words could cheer people up, or make them feel like they were dead themself. Such a difference words could make.
That was probably true, it would probably be much easier just to destroy her. If Aro destroyed Evelyn, there wouldn't be a chance at her accidently slipping up and spilling the truth. If there was no one to know the secret, there was no one to tell the secret. That was just the way life worked. If you kept things to yourself and no one knew, no one found out. That was a little complicated to do in this situation, though usually she read people's past without trying. It was just something that came naturally to her now.
"That is true." Evelyn was just merely being simple with her words and not very verbose, as usual. As expected. She was not considered shy or anything, she just merely kept things to herself. She was not big with gossiping or really just talking at all. Not for other people, she just hated talking too much. People who were constantly being loud and talkative bothered the living daylight (haha, pun intended) out of her. It was something she had always been against.

"As true as that may be it would be such a shame to lose you." Aro was very fond of Evelyn's talent. It was so very useful. It allowed him to get a quick glimpse of someone's past without having to touch. He found out so much more when he did touch them, but with Evelyn's power he could plan more efficiently about what to do about a situation before he acted. Aro always made sure he planned everything through. This current situation was no different. Aro needed to look at the pros and cons of this. What he would gain and what he would lose. Would it be worth keeping her alive or would it be best to kill her? There were so many possibilities with this. Aro needed to think everything through carefully. Be certain of his final decision.
Just as he had with his sister. Aro had been careful and thought everything through. Aro really had loved Didyme. She was his younger sister and he did care for her. But he could not allow her to live. Didyme and Marucs had made it aware they were going to leave Aro had acted fine with the entire situation. Aro always appeared calm about everything. No one really knew what he was planning because of that. For the past few days, weeks he had been thinking about what to do. Aro could not lose Marcus he was to far valuable. The decision was fairly simple to choose. It was killing one of them. Which one was of more use? Marucs of course. Didyme's talent was never what he had expected and was something eh could do without. And so he carried out this decision to kill his sister. There was a story about how she died one Marcus believed and all the guards. No one would, should know about this. All aside from Evelyn the very reason he was here. To figure out what to do.
"Your talent is of much use. I would hate to lose it." This was true. Aro loved power and hated it when the he had to lose any of it. Aro did not want to lose Evelyn he wanted to keep her within his guard. Be able to trust her and know for certain she would keep this secret. To be extremely loyal to him more so than the Volturi as a whole. He would need to make absolutely certain of this. Aro knew Evelyn kept things to herself she was not one to talk. Perhaps he could trust her. But if one word was even hinted at what he had done he would kill her himself. But was it worth it? Was is it really worth risking allowing someone to find out? If anyone else was to find out no doubt Marcus in turn would know. Just how badly would his brother react? He would no doubt try to kill him. He had already destroyed an entire village out of revenge. If he was to actually know the one person that had killed his mate Aro knew exactly what his reaction would be.
Aro could imagine what it would be like, but never truly know, to have his own mate destroyed. Aro would find who killed her and destroy them. He knew that would never be enough. It would pain Aro deeply to lose Sulpicia. While he would give her up for power that did not mean he did not truly love her. She meant so much to her. Aro knew this had to be hard on his brother, but it had to be done. Marcus would have left eventually if not know then later. That was something Aro could not have. His sister had simply giving him no other option. It had been her plan to leave not Marucs'. Marucs would go along with anything Didyme suggested the very reason she had to be destroyed.
