Challenge Twenty-Three: Challenge MePost Aro's thoughts on what if he had actually killed the Cullens that day in Breaking Dawn. What would be be thinking about afterward? No Other Option
There was so much that had been lost. So much Aro had wanted to gain, but in the end it was for the best. If they would not join them they would be destroyed. The child was unknown they had no idea if the child could keep their secret and when they had it had been far to late. The child, the half-breed, Renesmee was rare, but she had not been a one of kind. Aro had made the choice before Alice, her mate, and a few other vampires including a half-breed had arrived. The child had been an unknown danger. They could not risk such a danger. It was similar to the Immortal Children they were a danger a known danger that must be destroyed. This child, so rare, so unique, but completely unknown at the time. Had he waited a little longer it might have been avoided. Caius had been pleased with the result and with what had happen.
They had attacked trying to find some way around the shield. They had relied on their more offensive physical guards. It had been difficult at first, but Bella was a newborn. She had not had complete control over her talent just yet. She had pushed herself to hard. Jane and Alec had constantly tried to get past the shield. They never gave up and their persistence was well worth it. Bella's shield had covered everyone one on her side. Every vampire, even those he hated most the Romanians, had been protected. All at once the shield had expanded on itself at long last they were able to regain control of the situation. Those that had been completely useless with their talents were not able to fight full force. The Volturi were completely unstoppable. They were never to be challenged and Aro proved just that.
Aro, himself, had even joined in the fight. Aro had chosen an appropriate vampire to destroy. One of the vampires he despised one he wanted dead and by his own hands as well. Aro had allowed them to live. After all he wanted to prove how much better he was than the Romanians, but they had showed up ready to kill them. Aro killed Stefan he had enjoyed destroying him. He had read how he and Vladimir had planned on killing him. Aro hadn't been as cruel, but he had made a demonstration. Aro was the leader, he was just as powerful as any of his guards. He could destroy a vampire without any help and enjoyed it thoroughly. He made sure Stefan suffered before ripping him apart and slowly burning all the pieces. Marcus had become slightly more lively wanting to destroy the Romanians just as much. He had focused on Vladimir perhaps thinking if things had gone the other way his mate, Aro's sister, would still be alive. How wrong he was it was his own fault he was forced to destroy her, but there was no reasons for such thoughts after so many centuries even millenniums.
It had happened so quickly a matter of minutes no more than an hour Aro was certain. By that time Alice and the others had joined in. Aro had seen the half-breed heard it's strange heart, but never found the story behind him. It would forever been unknown. Such a waste it had been! So many talents, so much he had wanted to gain. In the end it proved to be nothing at all. He had wanted the Cullen's and their many talents, but now he never would. Such a waste it was. Aro had been hoping to gain them to not have to destroy them. They had left them no other choice their bonds had been to tight for even Chelsea to change them. She had been able to change a few vampires, but none worth keeping. They had wanted to protect the child, they wanted to protect each other. They had decided any who protect the child were to be destroyed just as the Immortal Children had. It was no different. Even if the mystery of the half-breed would remain Aro would not regret what had happen.
They had appeared justified in their actions. The Volturi must keep their appearance seem justified in everything they do. Aro would have it no other way. There was an unknown danger something they could not possibly know about. How the child would have grown if she could have kept the secret. They could not risk having their existence revealed more so when they could prevent it so easily be destroying it. Even if it was a waste to destroy something so rare, so unique it had to be done. Any who dared to challenge the Volturi would be destroyed. This had been a demonstration of what happens when you disobey them when you create a danger. When there is a danger to their world. Something they cannot allow. Their existence must be kept a secret. There are no other options for this. This one law must be kept.

Maria stood there, very still. So still should someone with lesser eyes then an immortal had passed by her they would think she wasn't real, a statute frozen forever with the look of silent anger and defiance. Her sun dress, which seemed to look very out of place on her, was the only thing that moved. It was yellow with flowers around the collar.
There was a pile of ashes a few feet before her, and large immortals on either side of her. So far, they had not touched her, but she knew it would only be a matter of seconds before they moved in on her. There would be no running, no hiding, no fighting. She could try these but there would be no chance at winning. If she was going to die, then she was not going to give them any pleasure in doing it.
Her plan had failed, her weak immortals had cause her to fail. Her once great army was ashes on some battle field and Jasper. . . . Jasper was ashes a few feet before her. Aro wanted her to watch him die. Maria knew better then to try to save him. Fighting back, or showing any reaction to the event around her would only cause them animals to move in quicker. She needed a plan. She needed to a plan to get out of this.
Part of her hated Aro in this moment more then she had ever hated another before. Jasper had been perfect! His gifts had raised her army to new heights. She hoped Aro knew what he lost, Jasper the perfect soldier. She hoped he regeated that at lest, hoped it annoyed him.
Aro moved forward closer to her, away from his coven mate, Caius, and the guards on either side of her moved closer to her as well. As if to make sure she would not attack Aro. Maria had planned to stand there in silence and not give Aro the please of---Aro's pleasure! A plan! Maria still had not moved, but everything changed. Aro had to but give the order and she would be killed, she knew she was seconds away but now she had a plan, and a goal. "Aro Dearest," She whispered, "Thank goodness your here." She looked at him finally, not knowing if he would believe her or not. She could die in two seconds, or once again her plans would unfold and she could walk away.
TAG: Renesmee Challenge: It's your first day of high school, and it's a sunny day. No other Cullens join you. Jacob is in your class, so Alice can not see this coming. It's blood typing and the scent makes you . . . thirsty . . .

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP! A loud alarm began to sound, and a 17 year old girl began to toss and turn, in the small space she had. She may look 17 year's but she was anything but 17. Her body was stuck at 17, but her mind still grew slightly. but that's not all that was special about the young girl, her real age was 96. Yes. This 17 year old has been living on this earth for 96 whole years. BEEP BEEP BEEP the alarm continued to go off, waking the girl out of her sleep with each passing moment. After a few moments she sat straight up in bed, and turned the alarm off. Today was the first day of school, as a married women. "Jacob, my love." The young girl said with a tinny giggle, as she planted little kisses over her loves face. "Wake up... " She said lovingly. Attempting to wake her one and only love up tenderly, but that did not seem to be working so well. She would need a louder approach. So the girl stood on the king size bed, and started to jump on it a little. "COME ON JACK-IE-POO WAKE UP!" She almost screamed, making the wolf jump in the bed, only falling off the side with a large thump. Which woke him up with a fright."WHAT?!" The large man said looking to his love. "Renesmee...?" He questioned, as to why he was on the floor in the first place. "Oh... sorry love... Your such a heavy sleeper!" Renesmee said with a giggle and a kiss, before she crawled off the bed. Man the bed was soo much larger with out her wolf of a husband taking up well over half the bed. She skipped to her large closet, pulled it open, before she went on the hunt for something cute to wear. Thank god for her mother, teaching her the different smells of different fabrics. It came in handy, that was she would not keep picking out prom dresses. Who showed up to the first day of class in a prom dress.
After what seemed like forever in the large closet, Renesmee walked out holding a cute little sun dress. It was a typical black and white polka dot dress, that made her look more curvy then she really was. In her other hand she held a pair of cut of jeans and a black shirt. How cute they would match. Oh course Renesmee would have wanted to dress Jacob in something nicer, but a wolf was a wolf, and you just never know when the boy will phase. So rather the ruin a perfectly good shirt, and pant's she would continue to use the not so nice things he had. Jacob came over to take his clothing, but Renesmee held on to his clothing. "Shower first!" Renesmee said giving him the wife look. Jacob shook his head. "Only if you come with." So with that, the two showered, changed and got ready for the day, Renesmee cooking a large breakfast for her love, while she drank from a glass, blood from past kills. Renesmee made sure to keep a stash in her home, she never knew when she would need it. She was still so young, so being around humans was a bit harder then she wished. So keeping animal blood stashed in her home, she could drink some before going to a public place, such as school.
On any other normal day, Renesmee would have insisted on stopping by her parent's and her grandparents home for a few moments before school, but sadly they were out of town, doing what the Cullen's did best, whatever that was? She was a black now. But that's besides the point. Renesmee grabbed her matching pink backpack, which was filled with everything anyone would ever need for class, ever! Where as Jacob just had a pen and a few pieces of paper's. Renesmee was clean organized and ready to go Jacob, was dirty, messy and ready to leave."Babe, do we have to take the bike today. I mean, I just spend forever doing my hair!" Renesmee complained a little as she looked at the beautiful bike ahead of her. "Please!" was all Jacob had to say, before she jumped on, her legs hanging off once side. Thank god for being a half vampire, she did not need to hold on with her legs, her arm's would be all she would need. And with in seconds they were off towards Fork's high. With in moment's -thanks to Jacobs speeding, way to make it human like!- they made it to school in a matter of minute's.
This year was no different. Reensmee still got boy's drooling over her, wanting her worse then breathing, and Jacob was an angry old man, trying to protect his women. It happend the same way with Jacob and the lady's. All the chicks wanted a bad boy, and that's just what Jacob was. RENESMEE'S BAD BOY! It was all the same, dirty look's and 'party invites'. It got old after a while. It did not matte what school they attended, where they lived where they went, nothing. All that mattered was that they were together, and a very hot comity at school. Jacob parked the bike in a spot close to the front door, before getting off, Helping Renesmee off as he did so. "How's my hair?" She asked as she took off her helmet, and placed it on the seat. "It's fine Ness!" Jacob said as he shoved her bright pink, helmet into his backpack. He would not be seen carrier that thing around. so out of site it went. His pitch black helmet was taken off his head and stored under his arm. "Come here!" Reensmee said before Jacob could turn to leave. She messed with his hair for a moment, before taking his hand and walking into school, with ohh's Ahh's and many many comment's. Let the rumors begin.
Jacob and Renesmee had the same classes, and the same time. Typical. But They made it that way. Renesmee would not take a class unless Jacob was there with her, and it work the other way as well. School was hard, hard for Renesmee, but she put on a brave face, and tackled it head on with Jacob in hand. He was her rock, he was her everything, he kept her going, kept her living. It was hard, it really was, but Jacob just kept whispering to her words of encouragement. So by lunch, Renesmee was just about done. Her will power for the day, was shot. So rather then staying in for lunch. Renesmee and Jacob ran off to the forest to feed, to help Renesmee with the rest of the day. Oh course everyone would miss them, assuming they were doing things in a closet or something. But at least they did not know the real reason why they had to leave.
-30 minutes later-
Renesmee and Jacob walk into Biology class, the very same classroom, sitting in the very same seat's as Rensmee's parents had many many years ago. The only difference was, Jacob being a wolf, and Reensmee being the half Vampire. Renesmee took out her pink note book and placed it on her desk, with pencils, pens and such surrounding it in a very neat and orderly fashion. everything new and just perfect. Jacob just leaned on his desk, already looking bored, and class has yet to start. The teacher came in and smiled at the class. "Alright class. put your books away!" He said. And Renesmee looked utterly shocked. Jacob on the other hand "wooo"ed and sat up, paying attention for once in his life. Renesmee looked rather disappointed before she did as she was told, and cleaned up her little display.
"There was a change of plains today." The teacher spoke. Renesmee and Jacob both paying close attention. Change of plains were not always a good thing. "Today class we will be doing Blood typing!" He said with a smile, and in that same second both Jacob and Renesmee looked at each other. The teacher went on with what and how everything worked. But Renesmee was worried sick. She raised her hair quickly. "Ugh. Professor...." Renesmee asked, a know it all of course, but this was not a comment about something. "I get real sick at the sight of blood!" She said, Jacob just looked worried, the look backed up what Renesmee said 100%. The teacher chuckled a little looking to Renesmee. "Oh well, then I suggest you close your eyes." He added. But Renesmee shook her head her hand back in the air quickly. "No really, really really sick. I can smell it sir. I swear I can!" She continued, the worried expression on her face. "I'll take the zero, I don't care." she said pretty much pleading with the man, but he was not having it.
Jacob leanded over and began to whisper things to her, such things as You can do it, forget the teacher, your a Cullen, that's what cullens do best, they deal. Hold your breath, it'll be easy. Dont worry I'm here. He even threw in I dont mind moving. That only made Renesmee more nervous. They only JUST got back to forks. Renesmee's home, her birth place! Her everything. They only just came back. She would hate to move already! they just got settled in their new home and everything. She did not want to move.
But the thoughts were distracting her. "Let's just go!" Jacob whispered, asking her to just get up and leave, but now Renesmee was determine to stay and handle this. But by the time she figured this out, a finger has already been pricked, and as soon as the blood hit the air. Renesmee, shifted in her seat. Jacob took hold of her arm holding her really quick tight. "Renesmee no... Think... common you don't need it!" He said in angry whisper's, as he watched Renesmee's eye's turn from the beautiful honey gold, to a pitch black in the very same second. She stared at the nice warm blood as it was touched to some special paper. She wanted it, needed it. SHE HAD TO HAVE IT. She needed it. Her eye's were wide fixated on the drops of blood that was squeezed out from the human's finger. Renesmee licked her lips lightly, wanting it, needing it. Renesmee stood up, complete losing her mind. But she could not move from Jacob's hand. She tried to push him off, but there was no luck. Jacob held her tight. "Let me go Jacob Black!" Renesmee said fussing, trying to break free and get to the blood, everyone in the class now looked at the two. Jacob just grabbed Renesmee and his back packs, before grabbing her by her mid section, scooping her up and just haling ass outta there." You see what she means by SICK!" Jacob called back as he ran. Renesmee kicking the whole way out. Leaving the class utterly confuted. He just hoped no one saw her blood thirst eyes.
Jacob and Renesmee made there way outside, which was better, so much better. By the time they were outside, Renesmee was limp in Jacob's one arm. She knew she could never get away from him, no matter how much she wanted to run back, she knew Jacob would never let her. "God Jacob!" Renesmee said, looking more then devastated. Looking more then sad, looking utterly defeated. "Shhh... Ness...just shh!" He said as he placed her helmet on her head, making sure to keep a hand on her arm at all times. Just in case. Last thing he wanted was Renesmee to go running off back in the class. Jacob put her on his motorcycle, making her sit upfront this time. He again did not want her to run off. Renesmee was sneaky, and she could easy sneak off. He trusted her yes, oh god yes he trusted her, but when blood was involved, you just never knew. So he had to be more then careful. If she slipped up, and really bite into a human, she would just die. So by almost attacking, was not that bad. Jacob could deal with it, he could make her better again. So off they road to go back home, Renesmee crying the whole way back, she could never show her face here again. They would return in another one hundred years or so. Only this time, Renesmee would have her parents present.

Where Are You Now Challenge: What if Jasper never showed up that day at the dinner? 1948; Alice had officially been searching for twenty-eight years for the mysterious man of her preminitions. Since the first day she was a vampire -- she was sure that was what she was, now, what with all the bloodlust -- Alice had been having visoins of the blond male. He intreeged her, she wanted to know more about him. Who was her? And why was she seeing him? In a way, Alice more interested in finding out about him than she was she was about finding information on herself and her past. She only knew her first name, for Heaven's sake! But that seemed like enough for her; that was all she needed to know. But she was very intreeged and interested by this boy.
Alice's visions had brought her to a small, practically deserted dinner, with time. It was a a little tastless for a family-friendly dinner, not to mention that no one made too much eye contact in there, that was good for Alice. No one would notice her scarlet eyes.
Once again, Alice walked into the dinner, as she did everyday, ready to wait out the day. She had a good feeling about today. But she was also causing curiousity, thus she was not going to wait much longer for him. As sad as it made her to give up her, so far, life's embision. But, she had to move on at some point... right? Alice sighed as she sat down at an empty table, and prepared to wait. She spent her waiting time looking into the future, now that she figured out how to look ahead on her own. The hours flew by, but he never came. Alice got up as the owner called it a day, and she left off into the forest as she usually did. This was it... Alice had decided she wasn't going to come back. But what else was she to do? She didn't know what else to do with herself.
A few weeks went by, and Alice had made it from Philedelphia to just outside of Washington. Not once since the day she had left the dinner for the last time had she once stopped seeing that blond male in her preminions, however, she had started to see other people, other vampires. The Cullens. They were wonderful people, from what she could see, and they did not disappoint when she met them at their home. They welcomed her happily, glad she was taking their diet on for a try. She felt at home with them, and was going to take up their last name, or perhaps Rosalie's, they were figuring that out, still. But no matter how much things were looking up for Alice, she still had visions of the male she had seen for all those years. Especially as she saw him getting really close to that dinner very soon, two years after she had left it last.
-"Should I go?" Alice was stuck on weather or not she should go, and if she were to, should she go alone? -"You must be seeing him for a reason, dear," Esme was such a nice spirit, Alice was really happy that she got to meet her and Carlisle, who was just as a terrific person. And Edward, Ed was a terrific brother, plus he also had an extra ability. -"Rose and I can come with you, if you want. Make sure he isn't a psyco." Emmett chuckled. Emmett was such a joker, but was sweeter than he looked. Rosalie, his mate, was a great sister. She was quite bitter at times, but still.
So, they headed off with haste. Rosalie and Emmett followed Alice as she led the way to the dinner. Alice did not want to miss him, or else the trip was entirely useless. Rose and Em did not stick with Alice, they hovered around, just so it would not scare the male away -- Carlisle had dicided it would be best not to take chances with an unknown vampire. Alice did not go into the dinner, she waited outside for him. Rosalie and Emmett were off hunting not too far from there. It started to rain, and Alice reluctantly headed inside the dinner -- would the owner and the workers recognize her? A few hours passed, and the sun started to set, that's when he came. Thirty years of waiting; it all paid off in the end. His name was Jasper, and after Alice got to know him a little better, and after Rose and Em got over his hostile appearance, they headed back to Washington. All four of them.

Jasper appears to be a bit busy!
So in order to help this keep moving I am going to rechallenge someone, and allow things to move on. When / if Jasper posts to his challenge he can challenge someone else and we will just have two running.
Ella; your challenge is to make a post about Jacob. It make it more fun, the time frame must be set after Breaking Dawn. You can pick how many days, weeks or even years it is after wards. To make it harder you need to include his thoughts on imprinting with a half vamp; why he picked Leah to be his beta; and on how he feels about Bella Swan Cullen now. You may temp people if needed such as his pack mates, or Cullens.

The night was quiet. Not a sound could be herd for mile's besides a soft drip, drip, drip, on the roof of a tinny home. The sun had not yet risen from it's night sleep. So it was dark, much to dark outside. the wind blew the trees, making then scratch lightly against the side of a tinny little one bed room home, located in the middle of the woods, on the border of La Push and Forks. The tinny home seemed to be empty, for nothing inside it moved. Nothing shifted, no sound came from it. Then again it was much to early in the morning for anyone to be up.
Inside the small home, slept too young people. A young male, and a younger female. The male, was large. He slept with nothing but boxers on, which showed off his too perfect body. His skin was tan, as if he spend too much time in the sun. His hair was dark, black even and cut short. He was on his back, his face soft, child like even. He was flat on his back his eyes tightly closed, almost forced. One hand rested on his stomach, while the other was draped over a small girl, who slept close to him, her ear pressed to his heart. The young man, Jacob, was not asleep, thought he wished he was. He let his eyes open slowly, very slowly. Though his eyes were open, he could not see much. The room was dark, even for his wolf eyes.
He let out a soft sigh, hoping not to wake up his wife. What a lovely wife she was. He looked down to the small girl, who was fast asleep. Her long hair was pulled back into a lose bun located on the top of her head. He always thought that was a silly way to wear one's hair. But she was always up for making people laugh. Jacob had to chuckle at the thought. the young girl, looking to be but 17 years old, shifted slightly, snuggling up to her man closer, holding him tighter. Which only make Jacob all the happier. His dream was finally coming true. He had a wife, one he loved move then his own life. He had two family's, a Vampire family, and a Wolf family. Life could not get much better.
As he lay awake in the middle of the night, he could not help but remember how he got here. Jacob knew he would not be able to get to bed. Not know. So he somehow managed to shimmy out from under Renesmee, making sure she was cuddling up to her pillow instead of himself. Jacob stood and went to the little window. He leaned on the window lightly as he watched the black clouds run by. Just watched as the rain hit the window, as the clouds moved from one end of the sky to the other. As he watched the clouds, he lost himself in his memory's.
It's be a whole 30 year's since his one and only had been born. Since Renesmee, the very girl in his bed, had been born. He was almost sick of the fact that he wanted to kill her. Before he knew her, before he looked at her, he had HATED Bella, he had HATED her for marrying that blood sucker, for making a child with that horrid creature. He had even gone to the home to attack, to kill the monster, the hybrid that went against nature. But the second he put his eyes on the small child, he was hooked. He had imprinted on her. He could not help it. It was weird, he was the FIRST to admit it, but the world worked in weird ways, that no one would ever understand.
It all made perfect sense thought. Everything fit. He had been so obsessed with Bella for this very reason. He had not loved her, he never truly loved Bella, no he loved what she carried. He loved Renesmee, the very baby she would have. It just worked. He loved Bella like family, thought he took it for something more. He took it as true love, which it was not. It was like Sam and Leah. Sam was so in love with Leah, because she was the one who would lead him to his Emily. He had loved Leah, because she would later find his soul mate. It just worked. He understood.
Yeah imprinting on a beautiful creature like Renesmee was odd. Yeah at the time he thought nothing of it, but after 30 year's, things pop up. He was still just as madly in love with Renesmee, as he was 30 years ago. But, he could not help but think upon it. A Half Vampire. The very thing's he was made to kill, the very things he hunted, the very things he killed, he was in love with. It was strange, but it just worked. Bella had met Edward, and had fallen in love, gotten married and made a child for JACOB! That's right. It had happened for him. He had been in love with Bella because she was the one who would give him, (Or rather share with him) his one true love, his other half, his everything.
He had thanked Bella and Edward many times over the years for producing an amazing creature he loved more then anything. Since Renesmee had been born, and he had imprinted on her, he had forgiven Bella for everything. He had forgiven her for picking a Vampire, he had forgiving her for leaving him, for hurting him so bad, for just leaving him. He had no choice but to forgive her. Bella was the mother of his only love. Bella had carried Renesmee even know Renesmee had been killing her slowly. That was true love. Thought they still fight, its more like a Brother sister thing, then a mother in law kinda deal. He loved Bella the right way now. He loved her as family, loved her like a sister, rather then a forbidden lover. It was all right now. Jacob was whole, and so was Bella. Wolves and Vampires united as one, the day Renesmee said her I do's. And you know, Bella was happy about it. Jacob could see it on her face. Bella was happy for Renesmee. Jacob treated Renesmee better then he treated anyone, and well he was just a happy person now. When Renesmee left, his heart broke just a little. Finally Jacob knew how Bella felt when Edward had left her in the woods so many years ago. So they came full circle?! So that's were the story would end. Everyone all happy go lucky, just the perfect life. But no, there was still much to think about.
Everything may have been perfect, but what about the rest of his family? He wolf family. It had been hard at times. When Jacob had pulled away and made his own pack. He tired not to think about it, but tonight, he just could not help but think upon every detail of his young life. Seth Clearwater had joined him, for he saw past the Vampire's and saw the Cullen's for who they really were... good people. Seth just could not be apart of killing his friends, the Cullen's. So he broke away and he became part of Jacobs pack. Seth's older sister joined next. She joined, not because she liked the Cullen's oh god no! She joined becasue she had to get away. She could not be in Sam's head anymore. She needed to be free from that part of her life, and Jacob was the perfect way out. So she too became apart of his family.
Jacob never really liked Leah when they were in Sam's pack. He never really understood her. Seeing as her need's, her true feelings were always covered up, but teasing, but the others poking fun at her. Jacob never really knew the real Leah until she joined him. It was quiet in their minds, going from a pack of ten to a pack of three. It was nice. Everyone could speak, everyone had a say, everyone knew everything. Jacob finally understood her pain. He knew what it felt like to be hurt, to want someone you cannot have. He could relate. Her Sam was his Bella. Though Edward was not his best friend, but still he could relate. He knew the feeling he knew the betrayal. He just knew. Everything was meant to be. With out Bella and Edward falling in love and having Renesmee, Jacob never would have broken off from the pack, so Leah would have been stuck in Sam's head. In a way, Renesmee was the one who helped Leah heal. Who helped Leah find herself again. With out living in Sam's head, Leah had learned to accept Sam, and move on. She was not forced to think about Emily in sick way's (thought she was forced to look at Rensmee and Claire a little differently she could deal. It really was not big deal.) But to always have the one you loved, but could not have so close. It hurt.
But over the last 10-20 year's Leah was aloud to forget. Aloud to forgive, aloud to heal. The Cullen's were forced out of Froks, for they just could not stay any longer. Jacob could not stand to be away from Renesmee, so he went along with them. Leah needed a new start, a place where no one knew her as the girl who Sam dumped. So she too went with Jacob and the Cullen's, Seth, too went. He would follow his pack, he would stay with his Family, the Cullen's. But one thing that he kept thinking about, something he could not really explain, but something he knew he had to do. He had to make Leah his Beta. He had to make Leah second in command. Though Seth was the first one to join his pack, Seth was just not Jacob's Beta, he did not fit. It did not work. Seth was meant to follow not lead.
When Leah joined, things just clicked. Leah was always treated as nothing, as gum stuck to the bottom of your shoe, annoying. But Leah was not annoying, she was in pain, she was hurt, and she dealt with it in anger. He choice her as his Beta, because she was strong. After phasing in front of her father, who died from the shock, her brother phasing becasue his father's death, the whole deal with Sam, and always being picked on, she still managed to survive. She still managed to live, thought she was not as happy as she was before the supernatural crap, she still lived. She still took care of her family, went to school, she just kept going along. The little Engine that could, had NOTHING on Leah. Leah was his Beta because she was a survivor. Jacob knew that no matte what happened, no matter who died or how, Leah could live past it and protect. He knew that the Cullen's would be safe if Leah was in charge (God forbid anything is to happen to him.) He knew Leah could help Renesmee survive, and move on, just like she had done.
As the years went by, and the tension between Sam and Jacob's pack eventually disappeared completely. Which allowed Jacob's Best friends, Quil and Embry, to join his pack. His family was no complete. He had his wife, he had his friends, his pack. He had everything he would ever need. He found his place in the world. The sun was still sleeping, and Jacob still stood by the window looking out at the dark sea of storm clouds. A soft sigh and the bed creaking in the night, snapped him out of his daze. Brought him back to the present day. Made him aware of his surroundings. A large black wolf stood off in the distance, almost smiling at Jacob. Three smaller wolves stood behind her, a smile in their eye's. But Jacob was too tired to truly notice, maybe it was his imagination. He did not know, or care.
The young girl, that was left alone in bed, Renesmee, took in a sharp breath, letting it out slowly as her eyes opened in time with her breath. "Jacob?" She had asked a little confused, and half asleep. She pushed herself up slightly, as she looked around the room completely tired and confused. Jacob had turned in time to see Renesmee worried face, as she searched the pitch black room. Her half vampire vision was little use to her tonight. (Anyway she was too tried to realize he was standing right thee.) "Shhh.... I'm right here Renesmee." Jacob said softly as he walked over to the bed and climbed in. Renesmee just let out a tired sigh, still unaware of what was going on. But when her skin made contact with his, she was completely at ease. Jacob had resumed his for more position on his back, Renesmee's ear pressed to his bear chest, right over his hear. Jacob had wrapped his arm around her once more. The steady falling rain, ended up dragging Jacob back under, back to sleep, Renesmee safe in his strong arms. Wolf and Vampire. Together forever.

All on her own
Challenge 23: Challenge Me Jane had been having weird feeling about people watching her for the last month she didn’t think to share it with anyone as they would have most likely thought she was weird or tried to convince hear she was imagining it. When she never very well she wasn’t, she knew there was someone watching her. She just wasn’t sure who or why. Every time she turned around there was nobody there but she had seen something black move very quickly. This was how she knew there was someone there and also she had that strange yet annoying feeling that someone was watching her every more. The only time she didn’t feel someone was following her or watching her was when she was in her home. Her mud hut that she shared with her parents and twin brother Alec, she had grown up in it. It wasn’t the best house but it was good enough to just have a roof over her head. Some people just lived on the streets, homeless with no roof over there head to keep them warm. This was sad to see but it happened all over the world. There were getting to be more and more people living on the street everyday. Jane wasn’t very popular and didn’t have any friends what so ever. The only friend she did have was her twin brother Alec. The two twins got on very well better then most twins did. They did everything with on another and talked, and shared what was on there mind or there secrets. Everyone saw and knew how close they were, so people were even surprised somewhat. Something that wasn’t so unusual was they did hold hands, this was something a lot of children did it made then even more normal then they already were. But one day the feeling of being watched started to get to much for Jane. Needing to tell someone, she went to her brother for comfort, telling him everything with cries in between. He too was having the exact same problem, they both couldn’t figure out why someone would be following them and watching there every move. The two gave up on it and decided to let it go, ignoring the annoying feeling of being watched the two went on with their lives as they normally would. They soon got used to having the feeling, and it didn’t bother them anymore. The twins weren’t the only ones seeing or feeling of being watched. The village soon got suspicious of the two, as they started to see the black figure watching them. They started noticing strange events happening around the two young twins. The village soon had enough of the strange events and black figures that they accused the two Twelve year old twins of witchcraft. They weren’t very happy with what was happening when the twins were around. It damaged things, things that took time or costed a lot of money, money poor people didn’t have. Jane and Alec’s parents were soon charged for the damages that the twins caused. The village didn’t waste any time as they immediately put them to death by execution. They tied the two scared young children to a large stake, which was placed in the center of their small town for everyone to see. One of the village people lit the post and watched as the fire burned. They were supposed to die that day, then and there. And nothing of them to be heard or spoke of again. This was the way the village laws worked back then and they were very strict as to what was to happen. The smoke grew thick making the twins to cough and making their vision start to blur, the crackling of the fire became loud dimming there hearing. The twins started to became weak and tired. They tired wriggling out to save there selves but it was too hard, they bother weren’t strong enough. Out of no wear an old looking man with pale white skin and blood red eyes came towards the two. And cut them free of the robe he then told the two to stay put and walked off. The twins sat there one the ground weak. But Jane wasn’t as weak as she had thought she was and got up of off the ground. She was getting scared and afraid of what had just happened. Jane looked towards her twin brother to see him laying the unconscious. She gave him a small hug and kissed him on the forehead. Ignoring the blood flying everywhere and the horrid screams she bolted towards the woods. She just wanted to get away from the gruesome sight of her village getting killed. Jane made her way through the tress and bush’s. Running as fast as she could not stopping for anything. She just wanted to get away from it all and that was exactly what she was going to do. Jane felt bad about leaving her brother behind but she would hopefully go back to him when she found herself some where safe. She did like the sight, she didn’t like seeing all the people she had known and loved be killed before her her eyes. Jane had been running for what felt for days now and had finally got away , far away from her home town the place she grew up. It was sad to let it go but she knew it was what she needed to do. Tag: Sulpicia Challenge: What if you never canceled the marriage with that man? Would you be with him still? Sulpicia sighed softly as she ran the wooden brush through her golden blonde hair. Today was the wedding she was being politely forced into, something she was strongly against. She had no one close enough in her family to be able to tell, as she was rather closed off from them. Even if she did look beautiful in the gown, that did not make her any happier. She was forced into this whole ordeal, and was not going to forgive her parents about it. Too bad they had no idea that she was angered with them. It was a shame, truly. None of this would have happened.
There was a gentle knock at the door and Sulpicia knew that it was her father. He would be the one to walk her down the aisle, to officially ruin her life for all that she had. She stood up, her feet sore already from the small amount of time she had worn the shoes. She did not wince as she walked, she refused to let the stiff shoes get the best of her. She took her father's arm, smiling the best she could at him, and let him lead her. Her dress trailed back and she was surprised that she did not end up tripping over it somehow.
Time seemed to pass for Sulpicia far too quickly, as one moment she was taking her father's arm and the next they were reading off the vows. The voice in her head was telling her to just say no and get it over with. But she knew that her parents would be far from pleased and she had to do it for their own sake. “I do,” the words were not ones she wanted to say. But her now husband had said the vow first, so he pretty much owned her now. Wives were like possessions it seemed, they pretty much had no control of their future and what ended up happening to them.
Sulpicia had to kiss him. She pulled away first after the painful kiss, despite not wanting to be rude about the whole ordeal. They were rushed off to a reception, where all everyone was seeming to do was drink or dance. There were more people than she anticipated here, she felt like she did not know all of them. She also felt like she was being watched, which was a creepy feeling. She guessed that her nerves where just getting to her or something, bothering her to an extreme point. The spotlight was on her and her husband – she shivered at the thought.
10 Years Later
Sighing, Sulpicia whiped her hands on her apron before folding it and putting it away. Her three children, all boys, where tucked into bed and her husband was off on an errand that involved their farm. She still did not love him like most wives loved their husbands, which made her feel guilty on the inside. There was nothing she could do about it. She had been forced into marriage and never had the nerve to break it off. She was in her thirties now, but looked older. She got frustrated so easily with her rebellious children, and her gentle creases in her forehead often.
Leaning against the counter, Sulpicia placed her hand over her large stomach. She had another child on this way, and she hoped that it was a girl. She was fed up to the snapping point with her boys, despite the fact she loved them. They annoyed her quite a bit – unfortunately just like her husband. She felt fat, too, which didn't help. She had been pregnant for about seven months, but she had no idea when the baby was going to come. She put a long coat over her night gown, slipping quietly out of her log house and into their corn field.
The moon was bright in the sky, full and round giving off light as Sulpicia wondered through the fields of corn aimlessly. She was not sure where she was going, but she was just walking on. She could feel the wind whipping her hair that had darkened slightly over the years around her face, slapping it occasionally. She soon realized that it was going to be in the early, early morning by the time she got back to her home. Maybe even around the brink of the morning. Her children would be worried though, as the oldest was only nine years of age.
Sulpicia was about to head back when she felt the wind gust stronger. She stumbled slightly, and ended up falling onto her bum. She stood up, steadying herself gently. It was not good to fall down a lot with a baby in her. When she was suddenly lifted off her feet and felt like she was moving at an impossible speed, her sky blue eyes widened but she did not let out a scream. She merely looked back at whoever was taking her, but that nearly made her scream. The sight was not an ugly one, no, just one that terrified her deeply.
The man that was carrying her was beautiful, even with his crimson eyes. His skin seemed to be as white as the moon in sky, and from what she could tell looked rock solid. He was tall, most likely taller than her, and apparently rather strong. Most men these days could carry around women, but they could not run like this as far as she knew. She was still terrified, needless to say. Who was he? What was he going to do with her? More questions flowed in her head, and they got faster and faster as they came on more rapidly. Some even got ridiculous.
Shutting her eyes tightly, Sulpicia did not want to see where they were going. She was starting to feel ill seeing the surroundings pass them so fast. Soon she felt a sharp pain, that seemed endless. Time passed slowly, the pain only seeming to get stronger and stronger. She wanted to die more than she ever had in her life, but she couldn't even think about her child or her family. They weren't even there, she couldn't seem to remember them. She could not recall being pregnant, even if you had told her she was. She barely remembered anything, it was all just a blur.
Sulpicia woke up, knowing that a new life was ahead of her.

Challenge Twenty-Three: Challenge MeYour challenge is to write the post where Aro either kills his sister him self or orders her death to happen! Tell us what he dose, how he does it, and more importantly, dose he feel anything when doing it?! Anything for Power
Aro was deep in thought. There had to be something that could be done. He would not risk losing Marcus he was far to vaulable. Aro had acted happy for his sister, Didyme, and Marcus gave his blessing. They were free to go, but Aro would not let them. Aro would not risk losing his power. He could not lose Marcus. Aro had gone back and forth on who was the most use. Of course the answer was quiet obvious. Marcus. Didyme simply had an aurora of happiness around her anyone near her would be happy. It was rather useless and not something that would be of use to Aro. When Aro had changed his sister he had high hopes that she would have been of great use. For she was his biological sister certainly she would have some powerful talent. Something that would allow the Volturi to become that more power. Allow him to gain the power he craved. For at the time the Romanians were in power, in control. Something he quickly took care of. Now he was the leader along with Marcus and Caius and no one or nothing would take that away from him. And he was not willing to lose any power.
The choice to kill his sister had come easily to him. For what option was there? Aro could not convince Marcus to remain he was far to devoted to Didyme. He would give up anything, even power, the Volturi, for Didyme, Aro's sister. It upset Aro to know this. Marcus could at times lose interest in power and would rather spend time with his mate. This was annoying at times as they were always trying to figure ways to gain power but Aro did not complaint openly. Marcus would focus on power give his own opinions and even his own ideas. Aro had been aware of Marcus' thoughts for some time. Aro knew Marcus would do anything for Didyme and now he was proving just exactly what he would do. Aro had been aware even before his sister had told him she was leaving and Marcus was coming with her. He had been prepared and thinking what he should do about this. He had been indecisive when Didyme and Marcus told Aro they were leaving. But now that had changed. He knew exactly what he had to do.
It had taken time to decide what to do exactly of course. Aro had to look at every option, every out come. Aro did not to do anything without planning everything out. Without making sure he knew what exactly would happen. He would not risk anyone knowing what he was going to do. There maybe be one or two guards but aside from that no one. Aro would have to be careful. Aro could only imagine how Marcus would react if he was to find out what had really happen to his mate, his wife. Not a pleasant outcome that much is certain. Aro would not risk Marcus ever finding this out. The best way to do this was to make sure he was the only that knew of this. To make sure he was the one to kill his sister. Even this action gave Aro much to think about. Just exactly how would he go about to kill his sister? To make certain no one would ever suspect him killing her? This too gave Aro much to think about. Just how would he kill Didyme?
This is not to say Aro did not love his sister. For he truly did. Didyme was his sister and he loved her. But Aro was power-hungry. He would do anything for power, absolutely anything. And this included killing those he loved. Just as he would give up Sulpicia for power. He was simply that power-hungry. There would never be a cost to high for power. As long as he kept his current power and as long as he kept gaining more he would be content. If Aro had a choice would he kill his sister? No. But Marcus would not stay with the Volturi any other way. He had no other option but to kill Didyme. It was the only choice he was left with. And knowing this he would have to make absolutely sure that no one knew of this. This was one secret that no one could ever find out. Didyme would not suspect anything from him after all they were siblings. They may not the closest but they were still brother and sister. And though Aro could not remember his human memories he knew Didyme had always been there. And even after Aro had been changed he had come back for his sister. His reason had been for power and only power. There had been no other reason. As was his actions right now. He was only killing Didyme because of power. And that was reason enough for Aro.
It had been simple enough to convince Didyme to come with him. They were brother and sister and she was about to leave. Certainly Aro could speak to his sister. Try to convince her to stay though this was not his intentions. He would kill Didyme she would not change her mind. Just as Aro would not change his. He knew his sister very well as did Didyme know him. But she did not understand just how power-hungry he was just how far he was willing to go for power. Aro spoke to his sister with false happiness acting like he truly wanted to convince her to stay. Even if she did decide she would want to leave again in the future. She would get tired of power once more and she would know that was the only reason Aro wanted to keep her and Marcus within Volterra, within the Volturi. He hated losing any of his power as anyone within the Volturi knew. Aro knew for certain she did not suspect anything as his skin made contact with hers.
There were a good distance from Volterra somewhere in the country side of Italy. Didyme did not expect Aro to snap her neck. This would not kill her for the only way to make certain a vampire was destroyed was to shred them and burn the pieces. Aro did this quickly he had made sure there was distance between where Aro and Didyme were and Volterra. Aro did not want to risk anyone knowing he was destroying, killing his sister. This was something he could not allow. Aro would not have killed his sister if he had another option. But he would have lost his power and that is simply something he would never tolerate. He did love his sister and he had not truly wanted to kill her. But as long as he kept Marcus, his power it would be well worth it. Power would always be worth risking anything for. Aro looked at the remains for a few seconds before making his way back to Volturi. He had an idea of what kind of story he could give. No one would ever doubt his word. How Didyme was killed would not matter. They simply had to know she was dead. And Aro would not risk allowing the Volturi seem weak because of this. He knew Marcus would be upset because of this. He may even change slightly Didyme had meant so much to him more than power ever had. This very well could weaken them. And this was not something Aro wanted to happen the Volturi would never appear weak. Aro would have to plan on ways to make sure they were powerful and always ways to gain more power.

How would Leah react to being in the Volturi guard? What would she think of the 'blood suckers' afterwords? Would she be loyal to the Volturi, to Aro? Or be foreced to be loyal? [/blockquote][/blockquote][/blockquote]

It was cold.
Which was something that bothered her. She was not supposed to be cold. Her body wasn't supposed to feel the chill in the air for it ran hotter then normal humans. It was as if she had been made to survive harsh winters, blistering snow, and massive winds. Breed though out her forefathers to be bigger, faster, stronger. To be able to survive anything nature sent her way.
But not this.
Nature had not meant for her to survive this. Had not meant for it to be this way. Which was why she knew that the cold wasn't something from her body, but was an effect of her mind. Her deep inner mind was trying to convince her body to leave. It was her more basic mind however, holding her here.
Her noise burned.
The room was a pale blue in color which made it appear cold, it was large and open and held only three chairs that faced the open emptiness of the great room. She wondered why they had such chairs in a room they only used for feeding. It wasn't as if they needed to sit. She was standing on the edges of the room, by the doors that lead down a hall. Close enough that since the doors where opened she could turn her head and look outside. It was a bright and sunny day. It had been a sunny day as well, on that day last month when she had crossed paths with the Volturi. She had suddenly felt and uncontrollable urge to join them. Be with them. Protect the leader. And even knowing it was false, knowing they were making her feel that way, she could not force her self to leave.
She missed the sun.
Her light grey cloak hung around her frame, as she stood there, looking out the window from a distance. Her eyes held no emotion, as if something in side her was losing the spark of life it once held. In the month since she had been here she had only phased about four times, never for very long. It was as if they made her loyalty to them stronger while she was in wolf form to make her come back to them. The first time, there had been no one to share her mind. The 2nd there was only Quil. the third had been Seth and Embry, and Quil. She had just missed Jacob. They had tried to get her to wait but she had felt the pull of the Volturi bringing her out of it. The last time, just two days ago there had been only Quil, and he had unphased with in seconds. She had only caught a glimpse of him mind. It was a message he wanted her to hear but he could not stay in wolf form. They were sending a messenger to the Volturi.
A Messenger Of Death
Her eyes did not move by them selfs, it was as if they were frozen with the rest of her features, as she turned her whole face to the men in the chairs. Mainly on the self proclaimed leader. Aro. She had not allowed her self to think on what that might mean and instead only allowed her mind to fill with thoughts of her past and the longing to go home. Yet here in this moment, her mind wondered to it. It was a good thing she had not done so before, had Aro read what she could have thought, he would not be so calm. They were expecting the four wolves to come and mount a attack. Leah wondered however, if she would want to go.
The cry of the wolves, shook the walls of the city.
Leah's head spun around as she heard the people in the streets cry out in fear and she moved to the window. For once her features were coming alive again. Her heart was beating faster, and she no longer felt cold. This was why she had not thought on it. The what ifs!
There were almost 30 in numbers!
Sam's pack had grown more, plus Jacobs numbers and some Leah did not even know of! She felt her blood move faster in her. She felt the need, still, to protect the vampires. She pulled off the cloak and let the shaking take over her body. She hated the thought of fighting against her pack but she also felt the need to protect. Leah exploded into a large grey wolf, that filled the small hall way. That was when everything changed.
Nothing stops an Alpha's command.Leah was free, the moment she heard Jacob's voice in her mind. His commanding tone. She turned to look at the leeches in the feeding room behind her and she bared her teeth at them.

~Never known an imprintee~ Fifteen days. It had been half a month since Emily had seen Leah. She was so wrapped up in the mysterious...what was his name? Mike? David? Oh well she was gone, that's all she knew, focused on, harbored inside. Emily wasn't known to hold a grudge. She was pretty good at letting things go but taking away her best friend, her sister. That wasn't the safest plan in the world. She seemed to hold some kind of feelings toward this man. Extreme dislike, a growing anger, okay jealousy too, but she'd never admit that. She had tried to get together with Leah a couple of times but after hearing, "Sorry Em I have plans with..." what the hell was his name? so many times she began to give up on that attempt. She had even randomly stopped by Leah's house completely intending to kidnap her for a day...only she hadn't been there. "She's out with Sam." Her aunt had explained. SAM! That was his name! Sam. Alright well fine she could do this too. It was time to find a guy for Emily. Yet where to look? She was sort of against dating within her school. You do that it's all lovely until you break up and see him EVERYWHERE on campus. Yeah no. not happening. She could date someone from her work...but the delivery guys were kind of in some sort of creepy mafia thing that Emily preferred to stay out of. She really wasn't the mafia princess type. There was always Nathan. Nathan was a foreign exchange student from Peru. He was pretty good looking as long blue-black haired, green eyed, muscular hockey players went. She could close her eyes and picture it. Her on the sidelines at his hockey games cheering him on, her falling asleep in his arms wearing his hockey jersey, her cooking him dinner and the way even those celery colored eyes would smile. Yeah she could see herself with Nathan. Now the problem was catching said hockey player. Emily knew that when she tried she could actually look pretty fantastic. So she set out -alone- as Leah was out -again- to pick out an outfit that would make Nathan hers. She stumbled across a white dress, silk along the bodice and swishing out into a pleaded, extremely soft cotton skirt. It would have been a rather stupid idea to walk away from such a find, and Emily wasn't in the mood to regret it later, so she bought the dress. She was going to wear it to the coffee shop where he worked, the one directly across from the little bakery where Emily was employed. She went to the bakery early that morning, knowing she wasn't on the schedule to work but using the kitchen anyway. She made a batch of cupcakes, some to sell one for Nathan. His she decorated with blue sprinkles and yellow for his hockey number. She opened the door to the coffee shop, watching as his head turned as the bell announced he had a new costumer. She grinned, "Hey Nathan" His hair looked so good pulled back in a pony tail. He nodded his head and continued to wipe at a spot on the counter. Not good. "I brought you something." Emily continued, feeling moronic 'Just shut up and leave already Em!' Yet she didn't. She stepped forward, placing the cup cake on the counter, smiling a half smile. He stopped what he was doing and really looked at her, then at the cup cake and back. "Your Emily Young aren't you?" He asked, swinging the towel over his shoulder as if he were a bar tender. "Yes." She replied, placing her hands on the counter to support herself. "Your in my English Lit class. That girl in the front who's always playing with her hair." He ran his hands over the short stubble on his chin and grinned, "I had hoped you would stop in some time." Emily found herself blushing, as if he were her first crush, her first date. Three years later and the two were married with four kids. Three beautiful little girls and a hockey playing little boy. Emily loved her husband and children very much, but her life seemed to be missing...something. Nathan was good looking, and nice. That was about it however. No passion or playfulness or desire. He was just nice. She couldn't think of why she had settled for nice. What was so great about falling asleep in his jersey anyway? That thing was beyond itchy and she came to miss the soft cotton Pj's she'd had before Nathan. Nice, she never realized how boring that word was. Leah had become beyond distant when her father, Emily's own uncle had died and she hadn't seen her for a couple years now. She had no idea how she could have let their relationship fade to this level, she tried not to blame her marriage and family for destroying the amount of time she had to repair things with Leah. She didn't even know if Leah would give her the chance at this point. So Emily settled into her life, baking, watching her kids grow old and have children of their own, and staying with Nathan. Not even daring to dream about what could have been, if she hadn't settled for nice.

Everyone in the pack could see what Jake was thinking about. Bella's swollen belly and how half the leeches feared it, and wanted it dead and the other . . . . well, just the one wanted it alive. Freaks. Leah felt Paul come back as Sam started growling, and everyone started talking (thinking) at once.
How can this be, what will it be, not safe, can't allow it!, The treaty dose not cover this!, It puts everyone in danger, Bella bruises; they fear it too; they want to it; protect our families; the tribe; kill it before it's to late
It took a moment for the voice to sort out, but soon they stopped talking over each other and everything formed into a conversation. It appeared everyone was on the same wave length. Whatever it was, was a danger. But what would they do about it? It was a risk!
no time to wait, Leah watched them all work it out in their minds, but Seth's feelings were clear to her. He was worried. it will mean a fight, a bad one. we're ready!
So it was finally here, the moment were they could stop pretending the Cullen’s were human and treat them like the leeches they were! We will need surprise on our side! When Sam spoke Leah knew that they were doing this, and flexed her toes in silent almost excitement at the plans. She knew the risked, and felt worried and nervous at the same time as the thrill of the fight. If we catch them divided we can take them down separately, it will increased our chances of victory.
Jake came into view looking like he had been run over, all shaken and stirred. Well good. Maybe next time he will follow orders. What sort of Beta, didn't know how to follow orders? WAIT; Jake almost screaming in everyone's mind, but no one seemed to pay him much mind. There is little time.
But what are you thinking! You would not attack them for breaking the Treaty this afternoon, now your planning an ambush when the Treaty is still in tact?
This is not something out Treaty anticipated! This is a danger of every human in the area! We don't know what kind of creature the Cullen's have breed but we know that it is strong and fast growing and it will be too young to follow any Treaty! Remember the new born vampires we fought, wolf wild violent beyond the reach of reason or restraint! Imagine one like that but protected by the Cullen's!- Leah heard Jake cut off Sam, and she glared at him. Were the hell was Jake's loyalty to the pack?
-we don't know-
We don't know! Sam cut Jake off, in return, agreeing with him, but Leah knew it was only to make a point. And we can't take chances in the unknown in this case, we can only allow the Cullen's to exist while we are absolutely sure they can be trusted not to cause harm! this -thing- can not be trusted! They don't like it anymore then we do! Some are ready to right for it no matter what it is, Leah saw Sam thinking of the blond leech's face as she was protecting the belly from Jake.
it's just a baby for crying out loud! Jake said, his feeling of anger there for everyone to feel, and Leah felt he need to speak up, but she tired to be gentle, this once. Not for long. She whispered, but no one seemed to react to her, as Quil was speaking as well. Jake, buddy this is a big problem. You can't just ignore it! Your making it into something it bigger then it is!
The only one who is in danger here is Bella, and the pack! But forbid Jake to think of them first! Or even his Dad and sister! Again by her own choice. But this time her choice effects us all!
i don't think so! Leah had no doubt that Jake wasn't thinking, much less 'thinking so'. We can't take that chance! we wont allow a blood drinker to hunt on our lands! Leah was about to voice her agreement when who of all wolves picked THAT moment to speak up! Grr! Seth!
then tell them to leave!
And inflict the menace on others? When blood drinkers cross our land, we destroy them no matter were they plan to hunt! we protect everyone we can!
This is crazy! This afternoon you were afraid to put the pack in danger!
This afternoon I didn't know our families were at risk! Sam's mind thought of Emily for a moment, and Leah felt it like a stab to her chest.
I can't believe this! How are you going to kill this creature with out killing Bella?! Even Leah was smart enough not to put what they would have to do into words in that moment. Besides, she was still feeling the stabbing reaction from Sam's thoughts of Emily. She is human too! doesn't our protection apply to her?!
She's dieing anyway. We'll just shorten the process. Leah bit out, taking some of the pain she felt out on Jake, which was a mistake and she knew it half way thought her words but couldn't hold them back. As proof of her thoughts, Jake spun away from where he had been almost leaning on Seth and lunged at her!
Leah jumped back and closer to Paul (not that she expected Paul to defend her but he just happened to be there) as Jake snapped her. The only two reasons Jake missed, was because Leah was faster, and apparently so was Sam. Cause Sam's teeth sank into Jake's flank and dragged him back from Leah.
Stop! Sam said, alpha ordering Leah, and she felt her shoulder bend forward at the commanding tone. It only made her more angry and bitter; You will NOT be cruel to him Leah, Bella's sacerfies is a heavy price, and we will ALL recognize that, it is against everything we stand for to take a human life. making a exception to that code is a bleak thing, we will all morn for what we do tonight.
Tonight?! Sam I think we should talk about this some more, consult with the elders at lest! you can't seriously mean for us to- Leah looked over at her brother, as if he was betraying her, not just speaking her mind. Damn Edward Cullen! He brain washed Seth up on that mountain!
We can't afford your tolerance for the Cullen's now. there is no time for debate. you will do as you are told Seth! We need the whole pack for this. Jacob you are our strongest fighter, you -WILL- fight with us tonight. I understand that this is hard for you. So you will concentrate on their fighters, Emmett and Jasper Cullen. You don't have to be involved in the--other part. Quil and Embry will fight with you. Paul, Jared and I will take Edward and Rosalie, I think from the information Jacob has brought us, they will be the ones guarding Bella. Carlisle and Alice will also be close, possible Esme, Brady, Colin, Seth and Leah will concentrate on them. Whoever has a clear line on--b--the creature, will take it. destroying the creature is our first priority.
Everyone in the pack rumbled in agreement. They all -all but Seth and Jake- seemed to agree. Leah was a little miffed about the baby sitting job Sam had given her, but as she saw it, Sam picked her cause she was the best. He wanted the best to protect the kids and get the job done!
Sam was thinking over everything they all knew about the Cullen’s in order to give everyone the best chance at fighting their target. He wanted as many to come home alive but Leah knew some would not make it. She looked over at Seth, whose heart was not in the fight and wished Sam would just sent him home.
Pull it together Jacob, the tribe comes first! Leah had been ignoring Jake and missed whatever had set Sam off this time. While Leah agreed that the alpha needed to command his pack she was starting to feel a little bad for Jake and Seth who looked like whipped puppies when every Sam gave them an order.
I was wrong today Sam, Leah watched to bitch at him to stop fighting before Sam ordered him to, but she didn't say a thing. Your reasons were wrong then, but now we have a duty to for fill,
No! Jake said in defiance and Sam gave a might growl. Leah knew this would not end well and she really hoped Sam did not demote Jake cause that meant PAUL would be beta again and that would piss Leah off.
Sam was staring Jake down, and Leah knew another order was coming. Everyone was watching and trying to pretend they weren't. When an alpha gave an order, and pushed it, you broke under their words. Yes. There are no loop holes tonight. your Jacob are going to fight the Cullen's with us. you, Quil and Embry will take care of Jasper and Emmett. you are obligated to protect the tribe, that is why you exist you will perform this obligation!
Jake was on his belly now, forced so low by Sam's alpha orders. It was hard to watch, and for once Leah took no pleasure in this. While she would be glad to kill the Cullen’s, she knew this wouldn't be easy on Jake. If he could no man up on his own, then Sam would make him and Seth stay behind.
Leah watched till Sam walked back to get others in formation and Jake finally stood up and shook things off. Good, things were back on! She turned around and started getting Colin and Brady in line with her at the lead. Leah was trying not to think about Seth, planning to let him drag behind and maybe even miss the fight if she could work that out.
Seth was just a kid and he was moving slow, like it was Sam moving him and not Seth. It was annoying and Sam should know better! He should send Seth home to watch over La Push!
When Jake spoke, Leah spun around in pure shock. Not because Jake was once -again- trying to talk Sam out of things but because this time she had not heard him from inside her mind. She had heard him from Sam's. No. Sam even have a short jump back and a yelp!
Leah then noticed, she couldn't hear Jake anymore, at all unless he was talking to Sam! Jake's mind was NOT in the pack anymore! What the hell had he done?! Jacob! What have you done?! Yeah!
I won’t follow you Sam, not for something so wrong.
You would--You would choice your enemies over your family? Effing Moron!
They aren't--They aren’t our enemies, they never have been! until I really thought about destroying them, really thought it though, i didn't see that!
This isn't about them! This is about Bella! she has never been the one for you, she has never chosen you! would you continue to destroy your life for HER? Leah watched Jake ready to break away from the pack over a girl he loved and wished Sam had fought even half as hard for her. Bella was an even bigger effing moron then Jake.
Maybe your right, but you’re going to destroy the pack over her, Sam! no matter how many of them survive tonight, they will always have murder on their hands!
We have to protect our families! Sam thought of Emily again and Leah felt another stab of pain. Sam was worried for Emily should this thing come out and want blood, and it only made this hurt more.
I know what you've decided, Sam. but you don't decide for me! not anymore.
Jacob, you can't turn your back on the tribe! Sam was trying to order Jake, but it was clear that it wasn't going to work. Jake didn't even react to Sam's order!
Ephraim Black's son was not born to follow Levi Uley's. Low blow!
Is this it then, Jacob Black? Even if you can defeat me, the pack will never follow you! Paul and Jared were at Sam's sides growling, ready to fight Jake for their friend. Leah knew she should be there with them, but couldn't make her self move she was so in shock over Jake and hurt over Sam.
Defeat you? I am not going to fight you Sam!
Then what is your plan? I am not stepping aside so you can protect the vampire spawn at the tribe's expense!
I'm not telling you to step aside,
if you order them to follow you,
I'll never take anyone's will away from them.
There can not be more then one alpha! the pack as chosen me. Will you rip us apart tonight? will you turn on your brothers, or will you end this insanity and join us again.
There is only one Alpha for this pack! I am not contesting that! I am just choosing to go my own way, Go his own way . . . as in not share a mind with Sam?!
Do you belong to a COVEN now Jacob? Oh! Low blow!
I don't know Sam, but i do know this I won’t just watch as the pack kills innocent people. we're better then that. Lead them in the right direction, Sam. Everyone started howling as Jake walked off to warn the Cullen’s, and Leah stared after him in shocked, feeling the betrayal everyone else felt. She knew Seth saw Jake as his idol and she tried to find his feelings.
Wait!!
Leah looked over at her baby brother, not being able to find him in her mind. She knew why in the instant before Seth got up, moving freer then before and ran after Jake.
Seth had just joined Jake's pack! Leaving her alone, here! She gave out a loud and angry howl, before letting it trail off into a growl. An half hour later they were all still talking, trying to sort out what this could mean. They knew one thing, there would be no attack on the Cullen’s. If they were forewarned the pack lost it biggest asset. I have to tell my mother! Leah told them, in her mind, and stumbled away and unphased quickly, someone saw what was in her mind.
Once in human form, Leah dressed and quickly ran away from the howling. She went to the cliffs instead of home. There she sat, staring into the horizon while thinking. As the sky lightened, and the sun peeked up into the sky, Leah Clearwater knew what she had to do.
First she was going to go home, tell them Mother and eat all she could. Then she was going to hunt down Jacob Black and Seth Clearwater! Not to kill them, but to join them.
TAG: Jacob Black! Challenge: Jake walked down the steps, as he heard Bella's heart stop and took one look at the baby . . . . and did not imprint. How would this change his life?
