Six o’clock on shown on the small round clock hanging on the wall and the lovely warm rays of the sun trickled slowly in from the windowed wall, into the lounge-room-come-bedroom to dance upon Kate's delicate features, making her sparkle. It was almost like clockwork, and Kate lazily smiled although her eyes remained closed. It was the perfect 'wakeup call'; Of course Kate was not sleeping, but listing to some soft music. Thanks to Edward, who have given her his room for the week. He had a house now anyway. Though most of his CD's stayed in his old room at the Cullen's home. It was a nice, comfortable existence – She truly loved her life, Everything was just perfect. Well besides the fact that her love was hours and hours away from her. A sunny day it forks, this was truly surprising. Looks like she would be staying in today. Or staying out of Human eyes.
It was pure bliss; she had it better than many of the other Vampire outs there. She had a family, a family that was together because of love not conveniences. The sun sinning on her face, warming her skin, always made her feel good. Today would be a good day, no, make that a great day! She has already been in Forks for a few days, and she was missing her love more and more as time passed. But he would join her soon. Very soon. She was not sure how much more she could take. She had to talk to him, but his cell phone had to break last night! Perfect timing.
Slowly Kate sat up in the bed in Edward's old room; it felt wrong leaving it for only a second, but when she looked out the window she saw what a beautiful day they had been blessed with. “Ahhh. Another morning in paradise,” Kate sighed happily, jumping out of bed to get a closer look. She had always loved Forks. It was a nice vacation spot from Alaska. It was a good thing it was Saturday; she could just laze around for a couple of hours enjoying the fresh air and getting some vitamin D into her. However, for some reason, she seemed to be drawn to go in search of a some internet Cafe.... like some little cosmic power nudging her out of her cosy borrowed room into the wild. No, with a small smile Kate realized it was her own desire. Her desire to snuggle up on a Saturday morning with the man that she just could not get enough of. Well not like that could happen, so the internet was the next best thing. Oh she felt like a little teenage human again with her first love with all the butterflies that fluttered around in her tummy. Garrett was her first love; he still was. The fact that the thought of him still brought butterflies to her must just mean that he was... the one. He was the one that she would still get excited to see when she was old and wrinkled by age. If only that's how things worked. She would never grow old with him, but rather she would grow with him, only her body would never change. She was lucky in that she had more then one life time with her love, she had the rest of forever with him.
Kate put on her iPod and danced her way towards the first floor of the Cullen's home, letting her body naturally stretch and get some action happening. The song that played was rather sexy, and so accordingly she let her hips sway. It was just what she did. It was already 7:30 am and by the time she had finished her morning chores, it was well into the morning. All those hours (2, indeed) that she had spent cooped up in house when she could have been searching out her legs. She had wanted to get out her door so much that she stepped into the hall with just her pink PJs on! Yes Kate changed into PJ's yes she acted very human, with the morning and evening rituals and what not. Kate quickly looked around to see if anyone had seen her, and no one was around that was slightly odd, chuckling to her silly forgetful self. She rushed into her temporary bedroom, chewed her lip lighty as if it would help her think better, and launched herself into the wardrobe Alice had provided for her. She pulled out a nice 90’s style plaid skirt that came to her mid thigh, hanging low on her hips and a skin tight red shirt with short sleeves. With amazing speed Kate slipped into the ensemble, her shirt just reaching past her navel. She ran a brush through her long locks quickly, satisfied in their waviness enough to leave them au natural and the finishing touch? Some black pointed toed heels, just to add a little bit of cuteness. Yes she would have to thank Alice.
Now that she was properly dressed, Kate could go out into the world with her head held high – unlike many of the teenagers here that would be wearing the ‘Hangover Hat’ for most of the weekend. Kate wondered if any of them would ever learn. She pictured some of the kids here in Forks as 80 year olds trying to party hard in their wheelchairs and catheters and sharing their various meds instead of snorting drugs. It was a sad scenario, but Kate giggled at the mental image it created. Old hookers on table tops trying to swing their hips and then –dang – they break one! The only funny thing in it was that she could actually see some of the students at Forks High being like that. Such a small town, such dirty children. Oh like the parents don't know. Kids these days are very creative, going out of town to party, sleepovers all that crap. Oh this generation....
Slowly, she made her way back down to the living room. Still no sign of life. They were most likely in their own rooms... doing stuff. By the time she finished doing what she was doing, she realized that the sun was hiding behind the clouds once more. So it would be one of thous days again? Figured. Kate just shrugged it off. She might as well walk around Forks. see what's new, and hey maybe she would find some internet cafe and that way she could talk to her love. Of course the Cullen's had many computers, but Kate did not want to spend all her time there, it was rude. Seeing as she did show up uninvited. She did not want them to feel like they had to entertain her.
So with that she got into her rented yellow McLaren F1. She did not want to barrow the Cullen's cars, though they had many. Kate felt better spending the money she had. So much for blending in around Forks. She turned on the engine, and off she went into the town of Forks. It took a matter of minutes before she was flying down the small curving roads. Only to stop right in front of a Starbucks. What luck. She laughed a little to herself, parking quickly. before getting out of the car. A few of the local men had of course stopped to gawk at Kate's car, only to turn and gawk at her ounce she got out of the car. Of how she LOVED human men! they were so... so yummy. Well not in that way, but you know. Kate locked the car before walking, or gliding into the Starbucks, and taking a seat in the corner at on of the computers. She should have taken one of the Cullen's laptops. these computers were just so slow. But again, Kate did not want to impose.
Ah well she would deal. Kate began typing rather quickly, well quick for a human. Her fingers gliding over the keys, signing onto AIM. Maybe her love would be on. She could only hope. So far no luck. So with that, she got up and made her way to the short line and ordered a coffee. It was just a prop. No human in their right mind would go into a Starbucks and not get some coffee! By the time she got back to the computer, he was still not on. So very sad. Kate knew he would get on. That was their back up plain. If the cell's did not work it was right to the internet. Or maybe he got a new cell phone by now? She never really knew with him. But whatever. She just wanted her love to hurry up and get to Forks. She wanted to know just when his airplane was. If he was taking an airplane, maybe he would drive her car down here? Oh no... he would probably run.
