Bella couldn't stop thinking about Edward Cullen he hadn't been to school for a week. She had heard him trying to get out of their biology class just before he left. She didn't know where he went or why. She was worried at first, but as the days went by she became less concerned. It couldn't be just because of her. There had to a problem prior to her coming to Forks. How could someone hate her so quickly she didn't even talk to him.
And his eyes pitch black and full of hate. It had terrified her the look he gave her it's like he wanted to kill her. That was ridiculous, but as often as she tried to couldn't stop thinking about him. Things had been great, aside from him. And everyday she couldn't help but look at the table where his family sat. She wanted to confront him and ask him what his problem was. But ever day he was a no show and biology she hoped to see him, but she didn't.
Bella had figured he had moved or something the excuse really didn't matter. He was gone and maybe she could forget the way he looked at her. Bella made her way into the school not really looking forward to another day at school.

It seemed rather nice to return from Alaska, where he had spent the last week with the Denali coven who where good friends with the Cullens. Still, Edward couldn't seem to relax for even one second. He had returned because.. Why had he returned? Bella Swan Was the one name being repeated over and over again in his head, as he thought of why he had returned. Yes. Bella Swan. There had not passed a second, while being in Alaska, where he hadn't thought of the girl with the most appealing scent, he had ever smelled. Why did she smell so good, what was so special about her? - Why her.
He was driving into the schools parking lot, in his silver Volvo, alone this time. His siblings; Alice, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett had driven to school in Emmetts jeep, for Edward had asked them to leave him to think - With them sitting in his car, and him hearing their thoughts, it would be kind of hard to concentrate on his own thoughts. And he had to figure stuff out. This fragile human girl probably thought he hated her. Did he? Yes, he hated her - No wait, that was lie. He didn't hate her. No, no, no - how could he hate such a wonderful creature, with such blood? No, the poor girl couldn't have known what she had just gotten herself into. He didn't hate her, he pitied her, he hated himself. He hated the monster which had roared to life, the instant he had smelled her blood. He hated his plotting, when they had sat in biology. He didn't hate the poor girl, he simply hated himself.
He parked in his usual spot and got out of his car. He would try to avoid the girl, for he knew she would ask questions.. She was confused, he knew she was, why wouldn't she? One day he was there and then one day he was gone. It had to have some effect on her, or was he wrong? It was hard for him to know for he couldn't hear her thoughts. Slamming the door after him, careful not to slam it to hard, he searched the parking lot for the human, for Bella, but found nothing. Maybe she hadn't arrived yet. At a normal pace, a pace you would call almost human, he brushed by a passerby, a girl with long blond hair, and made his way over to one of the school buildings. School would soon be starting and the best way to try and avoid Bella was to get into class as quickly as possible.

[[I'm going to make this different from the book to make it more interesting. If you want to go by the book I can change it.]]
As Bella made her way to class she almost turned around while Edward Cullen was going to another building than her he was still close. She had stopped in her tracks her heart pounding seeing him. This was not a response she needed to have she should be angry, confront him. But she wasn't brave enough to do that the look he gave her made her shiver still even after a week. It had terrified her and how someone could look at her like that confused her. What had she done? How could he hate her so quickly it wasn't fair.
Bella took a deep breath closing her eyes she couldn't let him have this affect on him. She would have to go through with this even if he looked at her with hate filled eyes. Bella took a few steps her heart still pounding. Her steps were slow her eyes looked at Edward as he walked to the building next to hers. She tried to keep her eyes focus on her destination, but that seemed impossible with the Edward so close.
She shouldn't be feeling this way he hated her, didn't he? He had certainly acted like even though he hadn't said a word to her. But she couldn't seem to calm down was it from fear, she knew that was part of it. But there was another part she wouldn't admit not even to herself.

[No, that's totally cool with me <3 =] ]
He was slowly, slowing his pace down. Ah, it didn't seem like Bella was here, which was good for him, that meant he didn't have to struggle, just yet that was, with the painful burn in his throat. He was relieved and walked, less tensed, toward the building he was headed before. That was when a wind blew over the little school and carried the most wonderful scent, he had ever smelled, with it. It hit him like a racket ball and he froze instantly. A hand was raised to wrap around his throat - at first it would seem like he was going to strangle himself but after just a while he started rubbing it get used to it.. get used to it he thought to himself.
Slowly, though surely, he turned around. His eyes fell on Bella and he froze again, unable to move at all. He stopped breathing and just starred at her. Unlike the day they had met, his eyes were golden indicating that he had just fed. It would make everything a lot easier if he wasn't hungry. He just starred at her, waiting for her to make any movements toward him. No questions? Did it even concern her why he had been gone? Not that he really cared if it had but he had prepared to be asked a whole bunch of questions.
He could hear her heart beat quicken, even if she did stand a few feet away from him. From fear? Was she afraid of him? It had to be. It was the right thing, she should be afraid of him. Yet, then why was it that he didn't want her to. He kept on starring, not moving even and inch, as he locked eyes with the fragile human.

Bella saw Edward stop in front of her and he was tense. It looked like he was bringing his hand to his throat what a strange reaction. But because he stopped she couldn't bring her feet to move anymore and his tense figure. It reminded of the last class she had with him his knuckles that stay in tight balls never relaxing as well as the rest of his body. It made her shiver remembering when she made eye contact with him that first day.
Her eyes watch him no longer trying to act like she wasn't watching him the whole time. The thought of making it to class faded as his eyes made contact with hers. She couldn't really think of anything once she looked into his eyes. They were different the realized golden topaz instead of the black she had remembered from the last time. She wanted to say something but her thoughts were all jumbled up. This is something she shouldn't be feeling he was just a boy who probably hated her. Bella closed her eyes and took a deep breath that seemed to help a little she could think at least.
Bella had what she was going to ask what was his problem, why did he leave, did he hate her? As she opened her eyes and looked directly into his topaz eyes it was hard to concentrate again. "You left?" Bella tried to make it sound like a accusation but it came out as a question when looking at him.

If he could just hear her thoughts, then this silence between them wouldn't have killed him as much as it did. He lowered his hand again, realizing he was getting rather used to the burning. If he just bit his teeth together, and held back from saying anything to the girl, he thought he could keep the monster under control. But how could he not speak to her? He felt so drawn to her - he didn't exactly know if this was only because of her blood or if it was because of something else, as well, all that he knew was that she was indeed not normal. Was she human? Maybe she was witch, of some sort. Knowing that couldn't be, she would have probably gotten offended by those thoughts of his had she been able to read them.
She looked like she was in a whole other world once she looked into his eyes, she was out of focus and he knew exactly what brought this. It was him. How he hated this sparkling figure of his, hated it with a thousand suns. She spoke and he couldn't help but be amused of her attempt to accuse him of leaving. What did that mean? Was she sad that he had left? Confused? Why would she, what was he to her? "Yes, I was out of town.. Personal reasons" He said, letting his voice stay as soft as possible, he didn't want to scare the girl.
He stood there a few moments and then opened his mouth, again, to speak "I realize I have been rather rude, not introducing myself properly.. I'm Edward Cullen, you're Bella right?" He started to walk, signaling for her to join him if she'd like to "You're quite so popular here.. Seems like everyone wants to be your friend, must be very nice." He said. Yeah, he didn't really care about friends that much but he guessed Bella did? He really couldn't know for he couldn't read her mind, which was so very frustrating.

Personal reasons was his answer. Bella didn't know if that was a good enough answer maybe he wasn't mad at her or hated her. Possibly he was having problems the same day she arrived... That didn't seem to likely he had looked directly at her making her feel like he truly hated her. Bella shook her head she wasn't sure what the answer way he may not hate her as she had thought.
Bella looked up at Edward confused when he said her name. He had been here one day and hadn't even talked to her. How did he know she went by Bella instead of Isabella. 'How do you know my name?" Bella questioned. She knew Charlie told everyone her name was Isabella and how would he know even if he had over heard other students it had been a week ago when he hated her.
Bella debated lying to him or telling the truth. For someone reason she went with telling him the truth. "Not really," Bella admitted. She didn't like having the spotlight and everyone wanting to be her friends. And boys like Mike and Eric were annoying she never had that much attention in Phoenix. She hoped the attention would go down in another week or so.

She looked confused and Edward didn't understand why. Had he done something that had made her confused? No, how ever could that be?! - He was just being sarcastic, of course - leaving just after she had arrived wasn't confusing at all and he was probably looking at her like was she something to eat, that wasn't confusing either. Ugh, he felt like an complete idiot right about now. Of course she would be confused over his strange behavior, that was why people around here called the Cullen family for freaks, right? because they really did act strangely.. It was for everyone's own good though.
Then she asked of him how he knew her name and his eyebrows furrowed a bit on that. What did she mean about that? "I think everyone knows your name by now.. You've been the center of attention ever since your father got the great news that you were moving here" He said, continuing to walk with her. It was just to distract himself, the walking that was. He was almost sure that, if he stayed still and just starred at her, he would lose it and kidnap her, or something alike, run to the forest and then kill her. No one would notice that he was gone and he would return peacefully, leaving her body in the woods.
He clenched his teeth together, narrowing his eyes at his thoughts and then closing them. She spoke again and he looked down at her "Why is that?" He asked, honestly curious now.

"Yeah," Bella stated but knowing there was know way he knew she preferred to be called Bella. "But I'm sure Charlie, I mean my dad must call me Isabella," Bella explained looking at Edward. Her thoughts got jumbled looking at him so she turned her head to focus on the ground and not tripping over her own two feet as she did on occasion.
He questioned why she didn't like the attention. She was not a normal girl, most wanted attention and the spotlight. But Bella despised she never had it in Phoenix and never really wanted it. Now that she had moved to Forks she knew she had been the talk as Edward had pointed out. She hated it, she preferred to be not noticed instead of giving attention. "I've never had this much attention before," Bella said giving him a reason. But what reason was she telling him.
He didn't seem to hate her, had she imagined the whole thing before. Bella didn't know what to think of Edward Cullen anymore. One day it appeared he hated her and today well he was at least talking to her. But he was different his eyes a different shade, lighter, golden. It was strange had she imagined his eye color as well as his hatred toward her?

He almost froze. Of course, he should have known that. Everybody had called her Isabella and, since he had been gone for a week and not met her officially, he was not supposed to know what she preferred to be called. How could he save this one "You don't like Bella? I can call you Isabella, if you'd like" He was teasing her and he hoped she wouldn't know. Well saved, Edward - She had made it very clear, at her first day in school, that she didn't like being called by her full name and it had come as a reflex to call her Bella. It wasn't right, it shouldn't be like that.
He thought of the day he had left and looked away from Bella, clenching his teeth together. Alice's visions. And then in Alaska. His constant thinking of the young human. Poor girl. She didn't know in what trouble she was in. She spoke again and he looked down at her. She had never had this much attention? And that was why she didn't like it? She was really confusing, did she know that? "And that's why you don't like the attention? Because you're not used to it? " He asked of her, slowing down a little as they closed the gap between them and the building.
She was confusing, she really was, and he hated that he couldn't read her thoughts and tell what she was thinking, but for some reason he felt so drawn to her. She stood out from the other girls around Forks and he wanted to know more about her, unlike the other girls around whom he really didn't care much about. "I have to admit, that's the first time I have ever heard a girl say that.. Plus, if you don't like the attention I would suggest that you don't hang around me" He looked down at her and flashed her a short smile. Teasing again.
"So, why did you move to Forks?" He then asked, wanting to change the subject. "You're from Arizona, right? It's pretty warm there, compared to Washington"

No, I prefer Bella." Bella figured he heard her repeat she wanted people to call her Bella even though he had been a week ago. Bella didn't dwell on it for long after all what was the point. She wouldn't figure out the answer. And even more questions she wanted to ask, but she stopped herself. She must have imagined last week he didn't seem to hate her his while still not a normal color weren't black. Maybe he got contacts, that might be a reasonable answer. "Did you get contacts?" Bella couldn't help one of the questions slipped from her mouth without realizing it.
"No," Bella responded immediately. True she wasn't use to it, but she simply did not want. "Maybe I'm not like other girls," Bella replied to Edward. It was true she wasn't like others she didn't want attention and would rather be ignored and not because she never had it. Which was true, she just preferred not to have it. And know in Forks she did and she didn't like it at all especially with Mike and Eric both unwelcome fans.
"It's complicated," Bella said no had asked her directly like that. And she couldn't see what interest he would have in telling him why. She detested Forks and preferred to be back in Phoenix where the sun was where she cold wear tank tops and shorts unlike this rainy town. "Yes it's actually sunny there and doesn't rain," Bella said in an unhappy voice.

He smiled and nodded "Okay then, Bella" He continued on walking, opening the door for her when they reached the building they were headed toward. He froze mid way and looked down at her "What?" He asked, a little startled by her question. Had she noticed his change of eye color? Was she that observant? That couldn't be good, she would reveal him in the flash of a second. "Contacts? Where did you get that silly idea from?" He asked, shaking his head, as he motioned, with his hand, for her to walk inside.
Closing the door behind them he continued walking, beside Bella, ignoring the stares they were given. He couldn't help a chuckle when she exclaimed a 'no' and smiled. He said nothing and kept on walking till she said that maybe she wasn't like all the other girls. Hell no, she wasn't, she didn't know how different she was from all the other girls. And how he pitied her for that. She didn't know what horrible trouble she had gotten into and by talking to him she only made it worse. She should really stay away from him. "Maybe you're right." He said, in a low voice.
He looked down at her, smiling a crooked smile "I'm sure I can keep up" He answered her, for some reason wanting to know. He was confusing himself, wasn't he supposed to try and avoid her? That unhappy tone, which colored her voice, made him want to embrace her, to make her feel better. Why? why did he feel that? he really shouldn't. "I'm guessing you don't like the rain.. which then again brings me to my question why you decided to move here in the first place, if you hate the rain so much?"

"I thought there was something different about your eyes," Bella answered. She knew there was something different his eyes were pitch black the last time she saw him and now they were a golden color, topaz. She couldn't have imagined that, unless this town was starting to make her crazy. It was the cold, rain, all of the attention she got, and Edward Cullen. She walked into the warm building. She looked at his eyes again so different than anyone's she had ever seen and looking at them her thoughts got mixed up and she couldn't talk correctly.
He seemed to agree that she wasn't like other girls. And she wasn't she didn't try to dress up or wear make up. She didn't want attention unlike others even boys wanted attention just not girls. She looked ahead of her trying to watch were she was going she would probably end up falling like she always did. She was clumsy and had no balance and usually ended up embarrassing herself because of it.
"My mother got remarried," Bella stated. She really missed her mom and worried about her. She had Phil to take care of her, but still she worried. She was always trying new things, new dangerous things at that. One time she tried sky diving and didn't realize she was scared of heights until she was up there. Her mother tended to panic a lot to and had been worried when she didn't reply to her e-mail after her first day of school.

Edward kept quiet for a moment, not knowing what to now. He understood that they could never be friend if she was so observant. How silly of him, they couldn't be friends even if she hadn't been as observant as she was for he craved for her blood to much for that to happen. He looked down at her shaking his head "You're imagining, Bella" He said, putting on a poker face so it wouldn't reveal his lie. He didn't like lying in particular but he had to, he couldn't have that she would know about his and his family's secret. Those where the rules.
His eyes focused on her as she spoke again, telling him that her mother had gotten remarried. She truly was confusing, what would be bad in her mother remarrying? then he realized that maybe she didn't like him, the guy her mother had married? "So.. You don't like the guy?" He asked of her. He didn't understand her and he was really just trying to figure her out.. It was so frustrating that he couldn't read her thought - why was that? what was she? how did she manage to block him out of her mind? He considered the possibility of her being a witch again, but quickly shook that thought out of his head again.
His eyebrows furrowed and he looked away, buried his hand in his pockets, and looked down at his feet. He had to speak with Carlisle, try and figure out why he couldn't hear Bella's thought. For now though he would have to endure the frustration of not being able to read her mind and asking questions to try and figure out who she was.

"No I'm not," Bella said stubbornly. She knew she hadn't imagine his eye color she wasn't that creative. She furrowed her brow and crossed her arms looking at him stopping in her tracks. She couldn't look at someone, particularly Edward, and watch where she was going without falling down. She was right she knew she was and she wasn't going to give to him saying he was imagining things. "I'm not that creative," Bella added knowing it to be true. Looking at him was hard to get her thoughts in order, but she was able to after a few seconds.
Bella didn't like him making assumptions he didn't know anything about her. "Phil's great," Bella replied walking again trying to focus back on her mother. "Maybe a little young, but my mother's crazy about him. As long as he makes her happy I don't have a problem." She did like Phil she knew he would take care of her mother. Make sure there was food in the fridge, gas in her car, try to keep from doing anything to crazy.
Bella didn't know why he was question her. What interest would her boring life be to him. No one here had question her like this before. And for all she knew he still hated her, but then why was he talking to her. He was confusing her one day he doesn't speak just glares at her and the next he asks her questions about her life.

He looked down at her, unable to answer that one. Yeah, he was pretty sure she wasn't that creative. He didn't say anything though and just looked at her "You're a stubborn child, aren't you?" He asked of her, trying to get of the subject of his eye color. He understood that he couldn't spend to much time around her for if he did she would figure out his secret. She wasn't creative, no, he believed that theory, by she was god damn observant and that was bad.
They continued to walk, as she explained about her family "That's very noble of you" He said, looking down at her "But, I assume, that now you're unhappy?" He looked down at her, furrowing a bit. She was one heck of a complicated soul but he was willing to listen.. He wanted to know more about this human. He felt like he had to, like he was burning with desire to know all about her. That wasn't normal and it shouldn't happen, not for someone as dangerous as him. One wrong move and he could chop her head off.. That was why he kept in a distance when they walked.

"I am stubborn, but not a child," Bella replied. He couldn't be that much older than him maybe a year if even that he was in the same grade as him. She looked over at him trying to remember what she was going to say. He couldn't have this kind of affect on him it wasn't normal. Bella turned away looking in front her. She knew class was going to start soon, but she would rather stay here walking beside Edward talking, even if it was about her boring life.
"So?" What did it matter to him if she was happy or not. Sure she was unhappy, but there was nothing he could do about it. She didn't like it when he started assuming things it got on her nerves. She didn't see why he cared so much about her life she called her noble she didn't think so. But she didn't say anything wondering if what more he would say, would he ask another question, or just leave it a that and take off?

God damn it, he was making all the mistakes he shouldn't - calling her a child and what not. Of course, to him, she would always be a child. He was eighty years old, in reality, and only appeared seventeen. She didn't know that, of course, since she didn't know anything of his secret. He smiled slightly "I'm sorry, you're right, you're not a child" He answered her and shrugged slightly "I got carried away.. How old are you Bella?"
He looked down at her shrugging again "It doesn't seem fair, to me.. I mean.. You have as much right to be happy as anyone else," He shook his head "I'm sorry, if it's bothering you - all my questions - I'm just trying to figure you out.. You're very hard for me to read" He said, in a low intense voice. He was taking this all to seriously.

"Seventeen," Bella replied when Edward asked how old she was. He seemed to be asking her a lot of questions. Not that she hadn't been asked questions by all the students before, but still it was strange. She looked over at Edward when she said it wasn't fair that she was unhappy. Once again she didn't see why he cared, maybe he didn't hate her. But she couldn't just forget that first day maybe he was just having a bad day? That didn't seem very likely you don't have a bad day and hate the new girl like that and then a week later act like your being nice and might actually care it didn't make any sense. If anything she was even more confused than a week ago.
"I don't see why you should care if I'm happy or not," Bella stated trying not to sound angry. But she was she was confused and Edward wasn't making any sense his moods changed and it was driving her crazy. He thought she was hard to read that was unusual most people find her very easy to read. "You must be a good reader then," Bella replied simply.

He nodded, looking down at her. She was young, she had a whole life ahead of her. He couldn't come along now spoiling it. It was wrong of him to speak to her, let alone want to actually be with her. He was so drawn to this fragile human girl, it was getting dangerous. He'd wish she would just tell him to go away then maybe he would have the strength to actually stay away from her. Poor Bella "Seventeen." He repeated, giving a slight nod "You seem older, and that's not meant to be offending."
He couldn't help but smile slightly, not because of what she had said but because of her tone. She was angry and that amused him, even when it shouldn't; "Maybe I shouldn't care.. It's hard not to though" He said, looking down at her. He wasn't happy, he was miserable.. Maybe that was why he wanted Bella to be happy, though he knew that that made no sense at all. He nodded "Yes," He replied and then kept on walking.

Bella laughed a little when he said that her mother always said she was older. "My mom always says I was born thirty-five and get more middle aged every year," Bella sighed. "Someone has to be the adult," And that was true her mother wasn't much of a parental figure, but on occasion she would be. Bella usually had to keep an eye out on her mother and make sure she didn't do anything to crazy and that she had everything she needed like food and someone to call when she got lost. She worried about her mother, but knew she had Phil and would be fine.
"Why do you care?" Bella asked curios. Why did he care, he cared, he didn't her at least today. Who knew tomorrow he might be back to glaring at her she wasn't sure. He said he was a good reader and it wasn't difficult to read her her mother would always call her, her open book.

He looked down at her, smiling a little when she mentioned her mother always telling her that. Hmm, she missed her mother didn't she? It sound like that "Do you miss her? You're mother?" He asked of her, careful not to hit any weak spots. Poor kid, she had have a lot of responsibility, growing up and having to look out for her mother. It should have been reversed, her mother should have been the adult. He felt like hugging Bella again, shielding her from any hurt which might be inflicted upon her. It was wrong to feel that way, he knew that all to well.
"Why do you care" - her question hit his face like a strong wind and he blinked once. Oh god, why was she asking questions he couldn't answer? He didn't know why he cared, he wasn't supposed to care and yet he did. "Huh.. That's a good question" He murmured "I'm not a heartless person, Bella, as much as it may seem like it" He looked at her "I guess I just felt like caring.. I find you a very interesting person Bella" He kept reminding himself to keep it light, easy. This was bit much, no?

"Yes," Bella answered truthfully looking at Edward. "I'm worried about her, but she has Phil to take care of her." Bella knew it there was no point in worrying her mother would be fine without her and it seemed like Charlie needed her. Charlie couldn't cook she found that out the first day how he survived all these years she wasn't sure, she loved her father. He was happy as well as her mother not having to leave Phil. So moving to Forks made everyone over all happy, besides herself, but she didn't care really. She would rather everyone else be happy.
Bella narrowed her eyes at Edward he thought she was interesting he couldn't help but care. "You could have fooled me," Bella mumbled to low for him to hear, or so she thought. She would like for him to explain that first day to her why he didn't seem to care than and now all the sudden did. "You make no sense," Bella stated aggravated with him. he was confusing her more and more.

He nodded "I understand" He said. He became aware of the surprisingly slow pace they were walking in. Why? It was like they were thinking the same thing. Did she not want to get away from him? He was being very clingy and nosy today, he knew that, did it not irritate her? Was he trying to irritate her? Maybe, so she would run away from him already. He wasn't good for her to be with. Not at all, but how did he make her understand this without making her suspicious? There was no way to do that, she would get suspicious.
He looked down at her, pretending he didn't hear it as it was so low. He still had to pass as a human, of course. He couldn't help but smile though "Care to explain, Bella?" He asked of her, looking down at her "Why I am making no sense, to you?"

"One day you act like you hate me and the next you act like you actually care. It can't be both it's one or the other," Bella explained and didn't know if he would bother to explain the first day to her or not. "Would you care to explain what I did the first day to make you hate me?" Bella didn't know if he would answer her question she had been answering his he should answer hers as well. Bella stopped walking and turned toward him she wanted an answer and wasn't going to move until he gave her one.
She was being stubborn but she wanted to know what she had done to him. Why he left the day after she arrived. Why he had tried to get out of their biology class was it to avoid her because he hated her? She didn't understand and he was confusing more with all of these questions about her. Why did he care, why was he trying to figure her out. Surely there was someone else far more interesting than her or did he do this to everyone. She doubted he did him and his family tended to stay away from others. She hadn't seen any of them talk to anyone else, expect for Edward who was talking to her.

She had caught that as well, those glares he had sent her. Yes, she had caught that as well, of course she would have caught them when she was being so observant. Seemed like she had eyes in her back, that was how observant she was. What was he going to tell her?; Sorry, I'm a vampire.. Oh, and the best part? I have never thirsted for someones blood as much as i thirst for yours - would that sound good? No, for God's sake! He sighed "I don't hate you, Bella, where did you get that idea from?" He said, looking away from her.
"I don't hate you, I've never hated you, and I will never hate you" He looked down at her. It was impossible for him to hate her. No, he didn't hate her he hated himself "I was simply having a bad day that day and I'm sorry if it seemed like I was taking it out on you, I wasn't" He looked at her "Alice was getting on my nerves, right on the morning, and I don't like when people are to jumpy in the morning.. I'm not much of a morning person.. So i was.. Cranky" He shrugged, looking at her. He was good at lying, only he hated that he had to lie to her. One thing was true - Alice was jumpy, though she was jumpy all the time, and it got annoying sometimes.

Bella listen to Edward as he explained he was cranky. He was cranky because of his sister and because he wasn't a morning person those weren't very good reasons. But he sounded like he was telling the truth. "So when your...cranky you act like you hate everyone?" Bella questioned. What normal person would act like they hated everyone the way he had looked at her. It was much more than hate it had looked like he wanted to kill her she shivered from the memory of him walking into the office. She had been terrified of his look he had given her.
She looked away from him waiting for his answer. She didn't like this talking to him having him ask her questions trying to figure her out. Why was he, what interest could she possibly be to him. Bella looked back Edward she didn't understand him.

[[sounds good to me =] <3 ]]
He knew it wasn't very good reason,s but what he else to tell her? The truth? He didn't think so, not only would it frighten her but it would also be breaking the rules and then his family would be in danger. He looked down at her, realizing how dumb it sound when she said it "You pretty much got it" He said, half-heartedly, as he stopped by Bella's classroom. Pointing at it he spoke again "Class is beginning," Just as he had spoken those words the bell rang and he smiled. Like magic "You better go inside.. I'll see you in Biology later" He said and then he turned around with no further sayings
Smoothly, he walked away from Bella. He knew that when he would return, in biology, he would have to face the burning again - he would have to get used to the awful burning again. He didn't know if he was strong enough and he debated on bailing again - running to Alaska to live with the Denali's again. No, he couldn't do that.. He would just return again, for it seemed like he could not live without Bella. That sound weird, but it seemed true enough. She was drawing him to her, without even knowing it. He kept on walking. He needed to relax.. Maybe he should just ditch class? He already knew all the materials, which they were teaching now in history, and maybe even more. Ditching sound good.

Bella was tempting to make a remark at how dumb that was, but she didn't have a chance. He pointed to her classroom, how did he know what class she was in? Bella shook her head he just knew more things about her than she realized. As soon as he said class was going to start the bell rang. Bella nodded her head without saying a word and walked into class. Bella sat through class her thoughts swirled around Edward Cullen. Why was he trying to figure her out, was he going to glare at her again in Biology. Would he be at lunch, so many questions she had so many more formed through their short conversation. She didn't know what to think anymore.
The day seemed to drag on was it because she was anxious to see Edward again, to talk with him? It didn't make any sense for her to excited at the thought of talking to him, he just ended up confusing her. She barely acknowledged Mike when he came up to her and started talking to her he seemed to notice her attention was else where and tried to figure out was wrong, but she didn't tell. Jessica was much the same way.
Bella walked into the lunchroom and as always Mike and Jessica were beside her as well as Eric. Her popularity didn't seem to go down much over a week she hoped it would, but had her doubts. Bella was anxious again wondering if she would see Edward even if he didn't speak to her she still wanted to see him, and she knew that was stupid.

The day truly did seem to drag on. Edward had decided to skip the first two classes, of history, and then he had joined Alice in Trig. They hadn't talked at all, but she had overflowed him with question once they had sat in class. Most the time, she kept repeating the question if she was allowed to talk to Bella. He would just gag at her, shake his head, and then return to the assignment the teacher had given them. It wasn't that hard and it was getting boring to be in school - he had taken high-school over and over again for the past.. Many years and it got bored as he already knew all of the material they were learning. He'd wish they would challenge him, for once, but it was hard, he knew.
Soon enough it was lunch and Edward was making his way, alongside his siblings, to the cafeteria where he sat down at their usual table. He was looking at the entrance the whole time, waiting for Bella to step in with her friends, or those she claimed to be her friends. Mike, Jessica and Eric. He didn't like them, mostly he didn't like her walking around with them.. They were bad for her, especially that Mike kid. He didn't like how he thought of Bella.. But what should he care? For all that mattered, she could hang out with whoever she wanted, it was none of his business.
He kept his poker face on when he saw Bella enter the cafeteria. She was looking rather anxiously around and he wondered why. What was she so anxious about? A slight hope that it was anticipation to see him, sparked in Edward. He quickly shook it off though, that couldn't be. Jessica Stanley seemed to be the first to catch Edward eye and she immediately turned to inform Bella that 'Edward Cullen was starring at her'. Great, he knew he had always like Jessica - she was helpful, at times.
