Charlie came down the steps trying to be quite, knowing the girls were sleeping. He was going to make some breakfast before going back out to La Push and trying to help the Sue and everyone. It was still hard thinking of Harry's death. Poor kids. Leah was Bella's age and Seth was younger. They seemed to be taking this hard. Real hard.
Turning on the stove, Charlie got out come eggs, to start mixing up.

Alice sat up in on the couch she had spent the night on, pretending to sleep. She had seen Charlie coming and it was confirmed when he walked as quietly as he could down the stairs and into the kitchen. She took the blanket off her lap and stood up in a smoothe and flowing movement, heading to the kitchen. "Good morning, Charlie." Alice greeted him warmly with a friendly smile as she sat down at the table in the tiny space.

Charlie gave Alice a small smile. How could he not be glad Alice was here. She was on of the Cullens he could never disapprove of. "Good Morning Alice, I hope I didn't wake you with my noise." He was worried however, about Bella. What would she do when Alice left. Worse yet, was Edward coming back? Would he leave again? How should he handle that if Bella started slipping?
"I can cook enough for two if you want something to eat? It's not as good as Bella's cooking but I make a mean egg." Or one just good enough to eat.

Alice payed attention to what Charlie was saying very well, even as she concentrated on resisting blood and on moving occationnally, not being too still. She shook her head as she tilted her head a bit to the left. "No, no. I was already awake." She assured him, infact, she hadn't slept all night. Late at night, when she was sure that Charlie and Bella were well asleep, she had gone out from a quick hunt -- she was just getting used to being around this many humans again and didn't want to take chances.
"I'm not hungry, but thank you anyways." Alice regected Charlie's offer for food. She wouldn't eat it. Sitting at the table, casually tucking some hair behind her ear, she hesitated to ask him what was wrong with Bella, what had happened since they had left. But she stap it out eventually. "So, Charlie..." She started, giving him an innocent glance. "I'm a little worried about Bella. What happened, after we left?" She asked.

Charlie was glad that he didn't drop his eggs when she asked. He turned tot he counter to break then into a bowl before asking. "I'm not real sure what happened. She just, stop living. She got up, went to school, said the right things, did the same things but. . . . She wasn't living them." Charlie told her, partly homing she would tell her brother about how bad things got and he would feel guilty.
He mixed the eggs together in a bowl and poured them into a pan on the stove while he spoke. She keep thinking back to Sam carrying Bella out of the woods and Bella just being lifeless.

Alice was saddened by what she was hearing. Bella was dying, internally, without Edward. And now, Edward was going to kill himself within the next two days. Alice needed Bella to help her, to help Edward. By right now, Alice wanted more information on what had happened while they were away.
"Has she been like this since the day we left?" She questioned sheepishly, looking down at her interlaced hands on there table. She could only imagine the pain Bella must of felt all this time.

Charlie stirred his eggs. "She was worse at first. I had thought I was going to have to--" He shook his head. "I called Renee to come get her. I didn't want to have to be the one to make her get the help she needed." Put her in a hospital. "Bella went from lifeless to kicking and screaming. After that, she started moving. She did things but didn't do them."
"She went up to visit Jacob Black one day. Then the next, and the next. She smiles again. She lives again. More then just trying to live, she is starting to move on." He pulled the pan from the stove. "I am worried what your visit will do to her, Alice."

Alice grimaced at the mention of Chalie wanting to but Bella in a hospital, probably a mentle one. That hit close to home, now. Everyone had done some research on their unknown pasts while they were gone. Alice had been placed in one because of her visions. She had been pronounced dead to everyone and she had actually found her grave. She quickly composed her face again -- a calm, yet worried expression -- as she listened to what else Charlie was telling here.
"I see," Alice whispered. But afterwards she wasn't very pleased at the mention of Bella visiting a shape-shifter. She would of normally growled, but held it back around Charlie. When he was finished, she sighed. "I know. But, I don't think I could leave her now." It would kill her, Alice finished in her head.

Charlie looked back at Alice, before taking his eggs off of the stove and dumping them into a plate. He liked Alice. She was good for Bella. Normal. "Did he--Did your brother come back to Forks with you?" Charlie asked hoping not. Edward was not good for Bella. He had left her in the woods. broke more then just her heart.
Edward couldn't come back not. Not when Bella was learning to stand on her own again. He'd only break her again.

Alice shook her head. "No," She assured Charlie. "But, he's in about as bad shape as Bella. It's been killing him since he left her." And know he was actually going to get killed. Burned into ashes and inky black smoke would emitt from the fire. Alice didn't want it to happen. She needed to get bella to him, fast.

((Didn't she get the call and leave with Bella after Charlie had left? I am not sure but I thought so. Because Bella didn't tell Charlie she was leaving, but it has been a while since I read N.M.))
((I invited Bella to join us after a bit))
Good, Charlie thought. He hoped Edward suffered and was in bad shape. After the way he had left Bella and hurt her, he didn't feel any pity to the young Cullen. The boy did it to him self. No pity what so ever. He looked at Alice and saw her worry. He did feel bad for Alice having to suffer too, but he put that on Edward's head as well. "Where is now? What's he up to?" Charlie hoped he was in a galaxy far, far away, to quote the star wars thing.

(um... Doesn't alice see it? W/e we will figure it out in our thread. And kool)) Alice sighed and gave a shrug. "He recently just left on his own without telling us where he was headed." She wasn't lying. Edward had just left after he had called and heard about a funeral, which wasn't Bella's after all. Poor Ed, she thought, he was already hating himself and fighting the urge to return to Bella. Thinking she was dead must of torn him appart and now he was going to beg for his own death. Alice had to get Bella to Italy, and quikly.
