The smaller (smaller horse sized) grey wolf that was in the processes of running as hard as she could, was Leah showing off. If you had to be the only chick in the world of men, might as well be the best at something and make sure they know it.
Leah had forgot who was going to be running patrol with her this time. She guessed she would hear them soon enough and find out. There had been that odd 'way to sweet' sent the other day. That meant a blood suckers was getting mighty close to La Push. It meant, she could have a fight on her hands tonight.
It meant, the hunt was on...

Embry sighed as he walked into the forest and out of sight to anyone around. He was running patrol today, nothing new there, but it was with Leah. He didn't hate the girl, but she just got on everyone's nerves all the time. And she always had to prove she was better than everyone else -- she always wanted to race -- but he even though he understood why she did this -- he had heard her thoughts -- he still didn't like it. Embry was not afraid to be beaten by a girl, he just did not like how annoying she got about it.
Pants securily tied to his ankle, Embry went off and phased with a kind of popping noise. Instantly he was aware of Leah. Yo, Leah. He thought as he started to run his parimitor.

Leah was running the North West perimeter when she felt someone join her. Oh joy. The pip-squeak. Not really the pip-squeak, but the boy who didn't know who is on damn father was. She didn't care of he could hear her thoughts. Being a wolf wasn't meant to be a joy ride. It was was only a thing meant to make them freaks. Make their lives harder since their bloodline was purer. She ignored his greeting, unsure how to respond that would do the job of making her annoyance at this, shown. "Any news in the human world about people missing?' She asked as her mind played over the scents she had crossed so he was up to speed with her patrol.

Embry ran around his border, keeping his eyes and nose alert for anything out of the ordinary by the slightest bit. No, there hasn't. Why? What's up? He thought to her, a little intreaged, but otherwise was just trying to find a way to possibly make this patrol go faster. Leah thought up the scents she had found so far and Embry felt as if he could smell them right now himself. They were a little odd, but nothing seemed to be too serious or alarming.
Where's your little bro? Embry was a little close to Seth, at least he was closer to him then to Leah. But he hadn't heard from the little guy in a while. And the question just seemed like a good idea to past time. (short, terrrible, I am so sorry)

Where was her brother? Leah repeated the question in her mind, looking for a hidden meaning. Was Seth missing or was the kid just wondering random things to annoy her? 'Seath should be at him. He better be. Why? Is something going on at La Push that I should know about?'
Leah had once been a social queen bee. While most people avoided her now days, she still liked to stay on top of things, and be in the constant know. It was almost easier to do that in Wolf form then human form.

Yo, chill. I'm sure your bro is fine, Leah. She was worrying to much. He's old enough to take care of himself, don't you think? He's a wolf too! Come on! Give the kid a break. Embry sniffed the air around him a little. Nothing strange so far. Good, but boring.
There's nothing going on, as far as I know. So chill out a little. Leah was a little TOO protective of her little brother Seath.

'Give the kid a break?' Leah repeated his words in her head, 'Give the KID a break? That is just what he is, Embry, a kid, a baby, a little boy who should be learning to drive not learning to fight blood suckers!' Leah let out a growl. She wasn't mad at Embry, she was pissed at 'Fate' but he was the easiest one to take out her anger on at the moment.
Leah stopped that ling of thought when she again, found a new scent. 'That vampire, the girl no one can catch, has been getting closer and closer to La Push' Leah growled out. Sam had ordered if her scent was picked up fresh to howl out and let the pack attack together. Leah didn't think it was fresh but she started following it.

Arg! When will you learn that he doesn't want to be treated like he's two!? Trust me, he wants to do all these things we do to be treated the way he should be! Like a member of the pack, and NOT like a baby. That's how Embry had felt when Paul would not stop tormenting him. But Embry stood up to Paul numorous times, and now, he's got the respect he wanted. Well, from the others. Paul will always be a jerk to him.
Embry gave a small growl. Can't wait to rip her to shreds. [/blockquote]

Leah ignored everything Embry thought about Seth, but her thoughts made it clear she did not agree. Seth was her baby brother and forever would be. No matter how much he earned his ranking with in the pack, he was her baby brother. Her family. 'I don't get what she wants! Why hunt here? Why test our lines? She is just toying with us!' Leah growled in her head, not liking the leeches scent. It was to sweet, and almost hurt her noise. It was as if the only way to make the burning stop was kill the blood sucker. . . . killing her suited just fine with Leah. 'I am not waiting on Sam, I am going to follow her trail!'

Seth had just heard what Leah and Embry were talking about seeing as he had just phased. But, instead of saying something, he kept quiet and waited for them to stop talking for awhile. Once they did he piped up. Hey guys. What's up. I am fine Leah. Just been really busy lately. I almost have my license. Embry, sorry we haven't talked in awhile. I just like I just said have been really busy. But, how have you guys been? He looked around and tried to pick up Leah's scent. Once he caught it, he tore up the forest and tackled her to the ground. Just a nice little push though. Nothing too brutal.
Seth got up off her and let her get up. he put on his big goofy smile and chuckled. He knew she would be mad. but, he hadn't seen her for awhile and it felt good to finally see her.

Embry did not press on the subject, and let it drop as Leah starting to get dificult and started to ignore him. Then, Seth joined in their 'mental chat room'. "See? I told you he was fine!" He let out a small annoyed snarl as he do to continued his patrol. Leah was so hard headed. "It's cool, dude. All that matters is that you're fine." He thought, rubbing in that last part at Leah.
He let out an other annoyed sound and headed towards the two siblings with great speed. "Why the hell do you think I would know why this leeche is in our land? And I am not letting you go after it alone, even with Seth." It wasn't that Embry cared much for Leah, but Sam would have his head -- he still cared about his ex, in a pack member kind of way. Plus Emb wanted some action. He reached the sibilings and gave a huff of laugher at the sight of Leah.

Leah wasn't the nicest person in the world but she definably wasn't the best person to tackle! She got up and lunged for Seth pushing him back a few steps. The only thing that keep her from biting was the fact that, he was her baby brother. 'Look kid, we are busy here! Go run border patrol and let the big boys take care of this red headed leech!' Part of Leah knew Seth would not do it, but the older sister in her made her try to protect him.
{I heard both of you imprinted. If you want to do a thread where Leah meets them/finds out send me a PM.}

Seth widened his eyes. He had expected her to get mad but not that mad. And what girl was she talking about. Who are you talking about? And if there's going to be a fight I want to be a part of it. No way am I not going to be a part. I think I would be able to handle one. Especially if you two are there. He looked at her and glared. He would not be told if he could fight or not. She might be his sister, but she didn't have to worry about him that much.
He turned towards Embry. Can you help me out here. I really want in on this. I haven't had a fight with a vampire ever. If I think it's too much I will leave. He gave a small little whimper. And put on his smile. He awaited their answer's to what he had said.

Embry's ear twitched. He's try to convince Leah, but it was not going to be very easy -- she was stubborn. "Cut him some slack, Leah! Let him come along, have his first tossle with a leeche." Seth deserved to come along. Let him have some fun. If Embry were in Seth's place, he'd want to go along too. Emb would probably put up a fight just to go fight a vampire or two for the first time.
He raised his nose up in the air and sniffed once before looking over at Leah. "Now let's hurry up. I want to get this one! Rub it in Paul and Jared's faces." He growled. Paul and Jared liked to think they were better than the other members of the pack -- not Sam, of course.

Leah gave a growl that sounded almost as annoyed as she felt. They all seem to be asking her for permission, but Leah wasn't in charge. If you thought about, She could sort of boss Seth around, he was her baby brother but the worst thing that could happen was him not doing as she told him and Leah running to tattle on him, or she bits him and he tattles on her. With Embry it was different, he phased before her, so he should have senior rank on her, but most wolves (and humans) didn't want to be in Leah's way. 'We are not talking my brother with us, and standing here bitching about it is letting the leech get away!'
Leah knew their best shot was with Seth going with them, but she didn't want to risk her brother's life.

Embry growled back at Leah. "Fine then! You if you think we should get going, then let's go!" He wanted to get some leech beating action. He turned his big head towards Seth and swung it back the other way, gestering him to follow. "He's coming, Leah. Deal with it." Embry knew she would just be angrier, but he knew Seth would be ecstatic. Perhaps then Leah would loosen up a little when she saw how happy her brother was... who as Embry fooling? Leah wasn't going to soften up about this. But she'd have to deal with it.
Embry stood up on all four of his massive paws and sniffed the air for the horrible scent of leech. When he caught it he headed for it, sure the others were right behind him and catching up to him -- trying to pass him, in Leah's case. "Let's barbeque some leech." He commented.

Seth glared at his sister. She just didn't get it sometimes. But, he followed Embry anyways. No matter what she was gonna say. Thanks Embry, I owe you one. He thought to Embry only as he ran right next to him. Some people thought that Seth was slow but he was pretty fast. If this was going to be a race between Embry and Leah, Seth would drop back and let them run it out.
Suddenly, the smell hit him like a wrecking ball. I think we are getting closer. I am guessing... He stuck his nose up a little higher in the air. Probably like another 100 yards. He said taking a glance at Leah. She still looked a little ticked, but he would talk to her later.
