Were is Jacob going? Why did he not tell us anything? He didn't tell us he was leaving. He is in a leach car! What did I miss? Leah watched Jake drive away quickly and it took her half a second to wait til he was out of site and then she looked back at the Cullen house. What the hell did I miss? What did Bella do to him now?!
Leah knew the face Jacob has been wearing well. She had worn it for a while now and had only started to get free of it. Jacob had gone out of his way to help them and they were just hurting him worse? What the hell!
Leah turned and went into some bushes and came out in human form. She was dressed in Jean (Dirty) and a tank top (Very dirty) with bits of grass in her hair. Leah had once been a 'pretty girl' and if she had looked in a mirror this would only piss her off.
She wanted to know where Jacob was going, and what had happened and there was only one way to find out. She had to go into the vampire lair.

Bella's eyes lit up when Edward said her baby loved her, adored her. Of course he did why wouldn't he? Bella rubbed her belly "I love you too," Bella said smiling. Bella had been so worked up in the moment that Edward had finally seemed to like their baby she hadn't noticed Jacob. Edward had thrown something at him before he ran out of the house. His face full of pain Bella frowned instantly. What had happened for him to leave so suddenly.
Bella looked at Edward, "What's wrong?" Bella was concerned about Jacob she didn't want him to be in any more pain because of her. She hated doing this to him, but she wanted him their with her it was selfish and not right. She felt bad because of it. She looked back at her stomach where her baby EJ was. The pain wasn't so bad, at least that's what she told everyone. She would get through this she knew it and would live. But her thoughts went back to Jacob and the pained face he had she looked back at Edward waiting for an answer. |

Edward had thrown him a set of car keys, he needed to get out and quickly. For once he actually felt slightly bad for Jacob. But it was only this once and it was only this once that he would be willing to help him. Besides that, he wouldn't let him wreck Bella's happiness. He looked down at Bella, who was rubbing her overly bloated stomach - in which a fetus was swimming around - and smiled gently. He, himself, let his hands, for the first time since she had gotten pregnant, rest on the belly. He tried to concentrate on the baby's thoughts again, but it was hard when all he really thought of was Jacobs thoughts.
He looked at Bella when she asked what was wrong "Nothing is wrong, sweetheart. Jacob needed to get away for a while, that's all" He said, reaching out to stroke her hair "Stay calm okay? Everything will be fine, everything is find" He didn't even buy it himself. God, he knew how much she cared for Jacob and how much Jacob cared for her. He knew it pained her to see Jacob this upset but what could he do? He wanted to do something but couldn't. He didn't know what. He bent down to press a kiss to her forehead, hoping it might soothe her worrying.

Edward told Bella everything was fine, but Bella wasn't so sure. The pained expression Jacob had carried before he left hurt her too. Was it because of her, because of her little Edward? She rubbed her stomach as a way to soothe herself. "It's because of me isn't it?" Bella questioned Edward looking up to him. She was always causing Jacob pain she couldn't stop and she hated it. She didn't want to cause him anymore pain she wanted him to be happy too.
Bella didn't know what she could do to help Jacob. He was against having this baby as Edward once was, but he appeared to accept him. He was able to read his thoughts and that helped. "What is he thinking?" Bella asked trying to distract herself from Jacob. And her baby was the best distraction at the moment. |

Leah let her own self in (leaving the door open) right as Bella was asking her last question. "I don't know what he is thinking. He is in human form, but he looked liked hell." Her tone was more worried then annoyed and angry. Leah crossed her arms over her chest in a angry move, while making her stance strong. Not that anyone in the room would find her scary. (Besides Bella). "What happened? Why did he leave so fast? Where is he going?' Leah asked. She had managed to sound calm and gave her self a mental pat on the back for not freaking out. Jacob could have gone to get something for them. Or maybe needed to get past Sam's pack or something. He should have told her!

Edward looked at Bella and shook his head "No, sweetheart," He said, taking her hand in hers. She was upset and that pained him. What pained him more was that she was upset because of that mutt.. While he was being in pain he brought pain to Bella as well, Edward couldn't forgive him for that. Then she asked of him what the baby thought and Edward turned to look at her belly, which he was cupping in his hands.
[color-white]"He," He was cut off when Leah's voice echoed in the room. He knew she had been there, he had heard her thoughts, but didn't think she would have actually spoken "She was talking about the baby," Edward snapped at Leah, looking up at Bella again "He likes it when you rub your stomach.. He can feel you.. He likes the sound of your voice," He looked rather startled "He likes mine to," He murmured, looking down at Bella's stomach.
Then Leah cut in again and Edward groaned, turning around "He needed some time out of here.. I don't know where he went" He answered her, keeping his eyes on Leah. He'd never liked her and he didn't know what she was up to but whatever it was it wasn't something good, he was sure.

Even thought Edward said it wasn't her fault she couldn't but feel like it was. It was her that was always causing Jacob pain, she asked him to stay. She couldn't seem to stop hurting him and it pained her, she hated it. Bella smiled at Edward as he was about to tell her what little Edward was thinking before Leah began to talk. She hadn't even noticed her to worked up in her own thoughts.
Bella knew Jacob wasn't doing good she didn't have to remind her. She listen to Edward, but it didn't help much Leah had reminded her of what Jacob had looked like. How much pain his face had been in before he rushed out of the room. Bella couldn't help but feel like it was her fault. She glanced at Leah who seemed a bit calm for the moment, but knew how bad her temper was. It's not that she didn't like Leah it was just sometimes she knew how easily she could be harsh and not really mean to. Bella rubbed her belly slightly trying to calm herself, but knowing it did no good right now. |

Outwardly Leah was standing very still. Not as still as the leaches could get, since she was taking very deep breaths in a effort to not explode and phase on the spot, but her hands were not shaking for the moment.
Inwardly, Edwards words were sinking in and that with the setting before her was enough that it didn't take but fractions of a second for it to call click. They were doing this with Jacob in the room? "Don;t you two look cozy." Before her voice had been more worried, maybe even annoyed, but mostly she had only come here to find out what they hell was going on. Now she was sure she knew. Now her voice was angry, and sarcastic.

He looked at Bella, worried that she was blaming herself for Jacobs departure. She shouldn't.. Hadn't Edward been the one who was more guilty in this? He had been the one 'betraying' Jacob.. He hadn't liked the baby either and had been on his side, had hadn't wanted the baby because it was killing Bella, but since he had moved over to Bella and Rosalie side he had 'betrayed' Jacob, who was now standing alone on some sort. Edward frowned and shook his head, getting truly annoyed with Leah. She always seemed to bug him in some sort of wicked way.
"What do you want, Leah?" He snarled at her, turning to look at her with that piercing look in his eyes. She had to go, she was making Bella feel even worse and he wouldn't have that. It was enough that she had to suffer the pain the baby was causing her, the pain Jacob was causing her, now also Leah?! God damn it, he was pissed.

Bella looked at Leah she could tell she was upset. Bella knew it was her fault that Jacob was pain and Leah being here only added to her knowing it was true. She was a horrible person she caused everyone pain no matter what she did. Would she ever stop hurting the ones she loved? She didn't know if things would get better or worse after she had the baby. She knew Jacob would hate her even more he wouldn't want to come around here again. Bella was sure she would survive she would live through this, she would keep her heart beating.
Bella winced slightly when the baby moved her eyes moved back to her stomach. Her little nudge, little Edward, she rubbed him knowing he was just a little strong. It wouldn't be much long longer. Bella took a deep breath looking at Edward then at Leah. Why was she here, she never came inside the Cullen's house since she's been here. Bella looked back at Edward she could see Leah's anger probably directed at her for hurting Jacob like she always did.

"You don't want me to answer that." Leah said when he asked what she wanted. She looked between them and took in a deep breath. letting ti out slowly she was going to leave and fum but then Bella looked at her belly and Leah couldn't take it. "I think you two are real peace of work, ya know. Jacob has gone out of his way and made his family his enemy for you and. . . that, and you repay him how? By rubbing it in his face!" Leah looked at Bella. "We have had this talk before!"
She meant on there shopping trip Edward had 'saved' them form. Leah had tried to get Bella to let Jacob go, and let him move on. "Apparently you you didn't pay any attention! If you vamp is not many enough for you, move on. But you don't get to keep one and string the other along!"

He narrowed his eyes. He was going to burst with anger in just a few seconds and she did not want for that to happen. "Oh, then, if you don't have anything good to say then just shut up and walk away," He answered, Looking back at Bella. Then, suddenly, out of nowhere, Leah suddenly smashed all of her anger in Bella's face, rubbed it like was it dirt, and then left her broken in the dirt. He stood up, snarling at her "Cut it out. Stop yelling at her," He snarled, hovering over Bella as if to protect her and the baby inside of her womb. He wasn't going to tollerate Leahs offensive talking, he wasn't sure though how much Bella had taken to her heart. Probably everything by now.

Bella could feel tears rim her eyes she knew what Leah had said was true every word of it. She had tried to get her to let go of Jacob she should have a long time ago. She was causing him pain then and still causing him pain now. She was a horrible person for dragging him into this mess. And every time she saw him she was happy to see him, but how could she be, when she knew how much pain she had caused him it wasn't right of her. She shouldn't be doing this to him. She closed her eyes trying her best not to show how Leah's words no matter how true they were hurt her.
She tried not to think of how much pain Jacob was in because of her. She heard Edward snarl at Leah, but what good would that do? She had already told her what she wanted to, the truth that hurt her so much. And she knew it wasn't only Jacob that was in pain, but Edward, his her family, Charlie still didn't know anything just that she was very sick. Anyone she was close to was in pain because of her and it wasn't right. |

"This is not mean yelling!" Leah's raised voice said, making it only a half lie. Why was she the only one who got it? She watched Leach Boy stand hoovered over the baby. Leah was one of the few who understood what Bella was doing. It didn't mean she liked Bella more, or anything, just that, she understood, and if had been asked would have helped, but not have keep her mouth shut. "I'm done, Leach Boy. If you want to protect her while she distorys someone she once called friend, fine by me! I'll be out side working. . . you know, were that once best friend gave up his family, friends, and home to come here and protect."
Leah turned and walked to the door but paused there, "You know Bella, I actually hope Edward breaks the treaty and bites you. Then at lest you'll have the excuse of not having a working heart." With that Leah walked out, knowing that if Edward did bite Bella, then even Jacob might not be able to stop Sam's pack. The treaty would be broken.

Edward kept hovering over Bella as Leah continued to yell. Oh, she didn't call that yelling? Then what the hell was she calling it? Sure wasn't speaking softly, she was yelling and he didn't like it. Actually, he didn't like at all and he would do anything to make her stop. She was upsetting Bella. Thinking of Bella, he turned and suddenly became aware of the tears in her eyes. She was crying? What for? Leah, that mutt, he was going to kill her someday, he swore. He knelt beside Bella, wrapping an arm around her and pulling her slightly against him.. Very gently.
Leah spoke again and he turned to look at her "Enough," He snarled, looking at Leah with those cold eyes of his. He had enough, he was fed up with ehr crap. she wasn't going to march in here and think she owned everything and she sure wasn't going to make Bella cry. She walked to the door and paused there to say a last thing. He let Bella go there, straining himself not to run over to Leah and choke her to death "Leah, you.." Then she was gone and he wasn't going to follow her. He wasn't looking to pick up a fight with the mutt, but the next time he saw her he sure would make her feel welcome. Very welcome.

Bella listen to Leah every word she said it was all true. She was hurting, destroying Jacob as she had said. Her best friend she was causing so much pain and she shouldn't even be able to ask him to come here. She shouldn't even have that right. Not after all she had done. Her eyes stayed on Leah she did her best not let her tears fall. She felt Edward pull her against him gently. The baby still caused her pain even with the slightest movement, but that was nothing compared to her mental pain. What she had done to Jacob what she had done to Edward, to her family. Every single mistake every single harmful word she said or did came to her mind. How could she continue hurting everyone. She didn't want Edward to let her go, but he did snarling back at Leah with her last statement.
As soon as Leah was out of the room Bella started to cry. Her last words affected her more than any that she had said. She was heartless causing so much pain to everyone else. |

Leah was gone and when Edward turned to look at Bella again, he noticed the huge tears flooding her beautiful face. And he froze right on the spot. He felt dead inside, really he did, no one knew how heartbreaking it was to see Bella in this condition - crying like that. He swore, to God, that he would rip that mutts throat out the next time he saw her. She would pay for making Bella cry, really, he wouldn't tollerate such things. He knelt down beside her and brought her close to him "Don't cry," He murmured, hugging her tightly unaware that this, most likely, would hurt her.
"Please, Bella, don't cry," He whispered, in that low voice of his. He should really just get up now and run after Leah, he was sure he could catch up with her in no time. For some reason he didn't do that and stayed by his crying wife's side - this seemed to be more important, and it was.

Bella winced when Edward hugged her tightly. It wasn't tight, but with the baby even the slightest touch seemed to be painful. She took a few breaths trying to not make it seem like it hurt her, she didn't like being like this. That even the most gentle of touch from Edward would put her in pain. But as hard as she cried she could seem to stop the tears.
"She's right," Bella said her voice soft barely above a whisper. Everything she had said was true. She was hurting Jacob, even her family. She caused pain no matter what she did and it made her heartless how could she not think of what this was doing to Jacob having to see her like this? |
