Bella has brown hair that goes down past her shoulders. Her eyes are brown when human. When changed into a vampire here eyes are at first a bright ruby red that change to topaz as she feeds off animals. Her skin is also abnormally pale for a human her mother was half-albino the reason for her pale skin.
Bella wears comfortable cloths and doesn't much care what others thinks. She isn't that into fashion or shopping. Bella can dress up with some persuasion usually by Alice. Bella also has an unusual scar and her wrist from where Jame's bit her. It is always a few degrees cooler than the rest of her skin.

Bella is kind and understanding. She always puts others before herself seeing that everyone else is happy. She loves her family and her close friends. She is often putting herself at risk which tends to make her seem like a 'danger magnet' at times causing trouble for herself. There are a few times when she can be selfish, but those are rare. She also hates having people buy her gifts or spend money on her. She demonstrates this several times through out her life.
Bella hates dressing up or putting on make-up and is usually forced to do so. She see's it as a pain and would rather be comfortable with who she is than trying to dress up. She has a dry sense of humor and is clumsy. She tends to hurt herself easily simply by walking and tripping over her own two feet. This all changes when she becomes a vampire. She is graceful, even for a vampire, and it is as if she was built for the life of a vampire.

Bella was born in Forks, WA to Charlie and Renee. At just at six months old Renee moved away from Forks to Phoenix, AZ. Bella would visit her father for two months during the summer. Bella also had ballet lessons which she dropped soon after. Bella is not known for her balance and was not a good dancer. She also was put into piano lessons which she begged until her mother took her out of those classes as well. Bella never really fit in at Phoenix even though there were all sorts of students at her school she could not find a spot to fit in.
At the age of seventeen Bella moved in with her father back in Forks. Her mother was often kept away from Phil, her new husband, and Bella did what she thought would be best. What would make her mother happy. However, Bella was dreading having to move back to Forks a town she was not to fond of. She had not spent a summer in Forks since she was twelve. When she had visited she would often spend time with the Black's in La Push. They were forced together as her father, Charlie, and Billy Black would go fishing. Bella to say the least was not looking forward to moving back to Forks.
Bella was popular the very first day of school something she was not use to. The Cullen's were different and inhumanly beautiful Jessica Stanley explained who they were and where they were from. As luck would have it Bella had biology class with Edward. The only seat available was by Edward. As soon as Bella sat down it seemed like Edward hated her she hadn't done anything to him it was unfair. The next day he did not show up for school it was another week before he came back. She tried to convince herself couldn't be because of her she hadn't done anything to him to cause him to hate her. It seemed as if she had made the entire thing up when he returned. He was polite to her introducing himself and asking her about her life. She felt compel to tell this strange who may or may not hate her about her life. Which was probably boring to him.
Bella along with a few friends from school went to First Beach in La Push. A few of the kinds from La Push said that the Cullen's don't come here when it was mentioned. Bella got Jacob Black alone and tried flirting to get the reason as to why the Cullen's weren't allowed. She listen to the legend of the cold-ones. Later that night when she returned home she did research on her computer about cold-ones. She starting to put together that Edward Cullen maybe more than human he may in fact be a vampire. Edward saved Bella in Port Angles from a group of men from there she confessed she knew what he was. Which he did not deny. Instead of being scared she was interested wanting to know more about him and his life.
The first time Bella visited the Cullen's Edward played her song. That night she went to the baseball field to watch the Cullen's play baseball. Alice had a vision of three nomad vampires that wanted to play. James the leader of the coven has his sights set on Bella. Alice and Jasper went with Bella to protect her from James. Bella lied to her father to protect him telling him she hated Forks and couldn't stand another second there. James did figure out where Bella was as Alice had a vision of where he was. It was a ballet studio like the one she had gone to when she was younger. Bella received a phone call thinking it was her mother when it was actually James. He told her he had her mother and if she wanted her to leave she would have to come meet him. Edward saved Bella from James, but not before he had bit her. Edward sucked the venom out of her blood and nearly killed her. It was nearly impossible for him to stop as her blood was so much sweeter than anyone else, but he was able to. Bella went to her junior prom with Edward. She had cast on still recovering when James attacked. Jacob Black come to the prom to tell her 'they were watching' his father sent him so he could get a part for his car.
When Bella turned eighteen Alice had a birthday party for her even if she didn't want one. While opening her presents she got a paper cut. Jasper nearly attacked Bella. It happened so quick she hadn't realized what happened until it was over. A few days later Edward told her he was leaving her. Bell didn't want to believe him. Months passed and Bella was 'zombie' Bella finally went to the movies with Jessica. She had neglected her friends during the months that Edward had left. She refused to think his name and it hurt to hear anyone talk about him. Bella saw a gang of men who she thought were the same men from that night so long ago. Edward's voice was in her head warning her. It was amazing to hear his voice to seem like he actually cared.
Bella wanted to be reckless break her promise since Edward had broken his. Bella got two bikes and had Jacob fix them up. Bella and Jacob became close friends though the months that followed. She was rewarded with hearing Edward's voice once again as she rode the bike for the first time. It began to fade and she needed to find something else something more dangerous. Bella finds out that Jacob is a werewolf. Bella went cliff diving instead of waiting for Jacob. She nearly drowned and was content seeing Edward as perfect as he always was. While she is cliff diving Harry Clearwater, Charlie's close friend, dies. Jacob takes Bella home, but soon finds out that the Carlisle's car is in their driveway. Jacob feels betrayed as she chooses to the vampires over him. Bella is overjoyed to have Alice back.
All of this changes quickly when Alice gets a vision of Edward going to Italy. Immediately the two make their way to Italy to save Edward from getting himself killed. Aro, the leader of the Volturi, is interested in Bella and what power she may have if changed. Since Bella knows about vampires the Volturi give Edward a choice. He can either change her or she is to be killed. Alice assures Aro that Bella will be changed with her talent of seeing the future. They return to Forks Bella thinking Edward had done this out of guilt.
Charlie threatens Edward telling him he is not to set foot through their door ever again. Edward explains to Bella he has always loved her and always would and what he had been doing. Bella is horrified that he had been trying to track down Victoria. Bella goes to the Cullen's to have immortality put to a vote. They vote to have her changed. Carlisle agrees after graduation he will change. Edward gives her the offer if she will marry him she will change himself. However, this presents a problem between the Cullen's and Quileutes they will be breaking the treaty if they bite a human, bite and not kill.
