Kristy was at her house which she had finally gotten cleaned and everything put where she wanted it. The house was small compaired to where she used to live in Ohio. But its how she liked it. She wouldnt spend much time here anyway. She sighed and walked outside. It was the rare nice days in Forks, Washington and she wanted to soak up as much nice as she could before it started raining. So she walked into the woods which was behind her house. She knew it was unsafe to go into somewhere that you didnt know without telling anyone, but who could she really even tell? All her friends and family lived back in Ohio and she didnt know anyone here yet. She shrugged to herself and started jogging. She needed to start getting back into shape so that she could start training for the next Olympics that were in England. She hopped over a few logs that got in her way. She was losing her breath easier so she stopped to walk. She looked around and sighed, where was she? She had no idea so she just looked around hoping she could either spot a road or a person.

Jasper was trying to be as quiet as possible. It was preferable for the family to hunt during night, but he just felt far too desperate that he had to hunt . . . right away. And so, he had just completed a meal when he was . . . not quite satisfied, as that word was not sufficient to describe the kind of diet they were on. But never the less, his craving for another kind of meal was less . . . dominant. That is, until he caught the scent of a human. What a horrible time for a human to be near by! Not only had he just killed a deer, but he was still hungry, and a human . . . being so close . . . smelling so delicious . . . a human who was all alone . . . as was Jasper . . . . . every aspect of this made it a bad combination.
Jasper tried to move away, but the smell was just too strong. He looked at the deer, and then straight at ahead at the empty space in front of him. Even the smell of the trees, the twigs, the grass, the flowers . . . it was not enough to cover the smell of the human. He moved a little forward . . . and more forward -- as if her scent was drawing him closer -- and it was not long until the human was in plain view of Jasper Hale. He just stared at her, using all his strength to prevent himself from lunging at her. All he could do was stare, and try not to breath.

Kristy sat down on a log that was large and round. She was still sweating even though she was in a pair of light pants and a t-shirt. She wiped her forehead with the back of her hand and looked around again. For some strange reason she felt like she was being watched. But for a really stupid reason it didnt bother her. She just rolled her eyes and laid back against a large spruce that was keeping the log in place.
(its fine i was waiting for bella but you can join)

This young woman was truly unaware of all the dangers that lurked about the woods. Jasper was using every ounce of strength in him to show that he was not one of those dangers. If he was smart, he would have turned away and left before the temptation was any greater, but he was completely consumed with her scent. He slowly began to creep out of concealment and revealed himself in front of the girl. He was holding his breath, but he knew that soon he would have to breathe to talk.

Kristy looked up and saw something move and it was a dark figure, she smiled at this person. She didnt know who it was but then again she didnt know who anyone was. She had just moved here, she sighed and stood up. She didnt move towards the figure but she back away either. She didnt feel any danger in this person. But who knows it could be a serial killer and she wouldnt feel fear.
Was she to talk? She didnt know, so she went with her gut.
"Hello..." was all she said, she just stared at the person, she could make out some features but she still couldnt tell if he was male or female.

She was talking to him. She was smiling at him. While Jasper could not return both favors, he would at least try to return one. He would have to breathe again. "Hello," he greeted back. She was all alone. Was anyone else nearby? Maybe he could . . . . . perhaps . . . . . if no one else was around . . . . . .
No. No. No. Control yourself Jasper.
Jasper tended to become irrational when there was a human about -- just as the time he had attacked Bella.
"Are you lost?" He figured that sounded better than asking if she were all alone. Though, that question was most probably going to follow his first.

Kristy shrugs, "maybe a little but it cant be too hard to get back home" she smiles rolling her eyes. She looked at the male now he looked slightly uncomfertable, "So whats your name?" she asks taking a step forward but stopping, she didnt know him.

Jasper wanted to show her how to get home, but not only because he was trying to be a gentleman; but the main reason was that if she was around others, it would be easier to fight the temptation to kill her. Ironically, despite the fact that other humans would be around, he could leave quite a bit easier. He knows that it would be disastrous if he attacked her in a public area . . . but here, where she was all alone, and so vulnerable . . . . . it was getting increasingly harder to restrain himself.
"The woods are rather large. I can show you how to get back to your house if you like." He desperately hoped she would agree. If not, he would just have to stand here and pretend that he was drinking her blood; while the impossibility of the thought was torturous, it was the only comfort he could give himself right now. When she took a step towards him, he forced himself to take a step back. She could not come any closer . . . he had to hold his breath. No. How could he do that when she was asking him a question?
"Jasper," he answered, as politely as he could. "What is your name?" He only asked as a courtesy. He did not want to know her name. It made his potential victim all the more . . . real. It made things more personal. If he was going to kill her -- which he was obviously fighting not to do -- then he did not want to know the name of his meal. But he asked anyway, because it was polite, and because talking obviously made her feel more comfortable; he could feel at least that much from her, even though he felt extreme discomfort at the moment.

Kristy smiles, "Kristy...Kristy Learing" it was nice to not have someone not know her name. She didnt walk any closer, for some reason he looked a little uncomfertable. But she nods in agreemeant, "yeah they do seem quite large...But my house really shouldnt be that hard to find. Its close to the boarder of La Push and Forks..." she smlies again and leans against the tree closest her legs were starting to hurt a little.
She looked around again she didnt really know what to say anymore, she knew that she didnt have to worry because she lived by herself but she probably should start cleaning her house it was still a mess from when she moved in.
(sry its slightly short...)

Jasper was trying to focus on her words, but her scent, and her solitude was far too distracting. He did not give his name. He would not unless he was asked, for even as a vampire, he tried to keep a certain level of politeness. However, with this young human . . . Kristy, as she had now identified herself as . . . he saw her more of a meal than a person. Then again, maybe if he knew more about it, she would become less impersonal, and therefore, remind him of why he wanted to stop killing humans to begin with. He did not want to feel the pain they did. He would do anything to stop himself from ever inflicting that kind of pain on someone else ever again.
"It could potentially take hours, for the woods can be confusing. If you would like, I can escort you back to your residence; I am rather familiar with the area." Of course he would have to make sure he did not overstep the border. The last thing he needed was the pack of wolves coming up to him inquiring his reason for having officially entered La Push.

Kristy nods and smiles, "Thank you that would be nice...The last thing I want is to get lost even more I guess" she laughs rolling her eyes slightly. She smiled again and then looked down towards the ground not really knowing what to say or even think. This man slightly reminded her of another she had met in the woods just a few days ago. She really shouldnt walk in the woods anymore.

"Understandable," he said, expressing his comprehension of her not wanting to get lost. "Did you have errands to run, or a particular reason you were in the woods?" He was wondering if she had plans of some sort, and if she needed to get somewhere else besides her house to complete them. He was not sure why he was prolonging his company with her. Maybe it could constitute as his good deed for the day: helping a human without killing them. Oh but my . . . did she smell delicious.

Kristy shook her head, "No i was just going out for a run. I have to keep in shape if I want to ride in the next Olympics" she says blushing a little. For some reason she lost her balence and had to touch a tree to regain it. She rolled her eyes and smiled, "So do you um goto school here?" she asks casually. She did need to get home but she didnt really care anymore, who was waiting for her anyway.
