Leah's Mother was going to freak.
Maybe not. Sue wasn't the type to really freak out and yell but she had a way of looking at you that make you wish she would just freak out and and get it over with. It had been a while since Leah and Seth had been home.
A long while.
They had left on a simple patrol, and Sam had order then to 'war' against the Cullens. Jacob, the sappy can't-let-her-go wolf, had rebelled and left. Then her idiot leech-loving brother had followed. Leah had asked for time off, in order to tell her Mother, when Sam (the great and mighty bossy wolf) had let her go, she did not go home, nor tell her Mother.
She though all night, and then got angry, and joined Jacob. Then she got happy. She had been riding a weird high for a while. Being free of Sam, and in a small pack was easier. Jacob didn't want to think about her, and Seth only thought happy thoughts. In the past days, almost a week and a half or more she was laughing again. She was almost, enjoying being a wolf.
Now, was not one of them times. Leah walked from the woods, to her house on tip toes, trying to be silent. The more she tired, she more she thought she was making noise. Once at the backdoor, Leah in hale deeply and opened the door, slipping in.
Leah Clearwater, had come home. . . . . to tell her Mother goodbye. She would be leaving, when Jacob and the others did. Leaving to heal, and become human.

So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life Perfect your life Beautify all things in your life. Sue Clearwater sat at the small table located in the small dining room. The table took up most of the space and there was just enough to be able to sit down and get up. She had been sitting there for the past few hours, working on pieces of jewelry with the intent to sell them and make some sort of income. Harry's life insurance would not last forever, and she needed to make sure she could provide for her children. She would not let them get broke...not matter what it took to prevent that.
As she twisted one of the wires, she heard someone enter through the back door. Sneaking in. It was Leah. She could sense it. Her daughter who she had not seen in what felt like forever. Her daughter who was a wolf. The shock of everything still had yet to relieve itself from Sue. She paused, holding the wire in her hand. "Leah?" She called from the room, not getting up right away. She waited a few moments before standing up and making her way to the source of the sound. Her voice was calm, curious, worried, and relieved all at the same time. Her daughter had finally come home...she had finally come and hopefully to stay.

Caught. (Not that Leah had not planned on not getting caught). "M-mom!" She said trying to act causal. "Hey there, mommy!" She smiled trying to make it look natural and then gave up. "Working on something? Want me to start supper?" She asked as if she had 'only' just come in from a simple patrol. Leah was sure Sam or that bastard Paul had ratted her and Seth out and that her Mother knew about everything. Or about everything from Sam/Paul/Jared's point of view. Not that Leah's would show the leeches in a better light, just how under handed the others were, and that she should be a hero . . . . ugh.

Even though she was not impressed with her disappearing act, did not mean she was not going to express affection towards her first born child. Once she pulled away, she kissed the top of Leah's head and took a few steps back. "There's a casserole in the fridge. I didn't know what time you were planning on coming home."
With that said, she folded her arms across her chest, giving her daughter a look that demanded answers regarding her absence.

Leah noticed the look. "I ummm. . . . there was this thing. . . at this place, were we did. . . things. . . . Seth did it! I was baby sitting him!" Leah said not making since. "There was this baby, and Sam said 'Kill kill kill' and Jacob said 'Beeeellllllaaaaaa'" (Leah said Bella the way they said 'Stella' in the move or play. "Then Jacob, went all Alpha on everyone, and made his on Pack. . . Seth joined him, and I went along to make sure they didn't get bit." Leah looked at her mother, "I love casserole." She went to the fridge and opened it and wished she could crawl in and hide. She didn't like making her self sound stupid around her mother but right now, explaining it, and drawing that part out was easier then explaining her leaving.

The information over load was confusing her, but she managed to hear the important part...or parts: Jacob made his own pack and her children were in it. She watched her go to the fridge, not quite sure what to say to this. There had never been two packs in the same reservation. How could this be? How could Jacob do this? Why had Leah and Seth joined him? What did this all mean.
Sue went to the fridge and took out the casserole. She then took out a piece and put it in the microwave. While it heated up, she looked at Leah once again. Where should she start? "There has never been too packs like this; it goes against tradition Leah. Why is this baby so important that it made Jacob form his own pack, and made you and Seth both join him?" Her voice was getting stern. Was this the reason she had been gone so long? Sue did not like drifting apart from traditions that existed for generations. She found it disrespectful and this....this was going pretty far.

"No, no. Not the baby, Seth! I followed Seth. Jacob was going to Bella, Seth was going for . . . . dumb kids reason and vampires, and I went to protect him from his self!" Leah said trying to defend her self. "THEN Jacob imprinted on the baby, and we were sort of stuck there. Because we don't betray our pack and Jacob is our pack. Jacob's girl is our pack. That is the more important tradition I was keeping. Family first." There! That would make her sound better then 'I couldn't stand Sam so I ran away.

Despite the fact that Sue was used to Leah talking rather quickly, this was a whole new set of information that Sue had not been familiar with. "I thought your pack was your family Leah." She did not understand. Sue could not grasp the idea of traditions changing, of things that had always existed to suddenly be altered to be more convenient for modern day kids. Jacob did have the authority to be an alpha, since everyone knew he was a born leader, it was in his blood...but still.
Sue took a few moments before continuing. "What now? You, Seth and Jacob are all going to be a pack of your own, running around La Push while another pack exists as well?" Sue was not happy. "This is disrespectful to our traditions Leah. It is unacceptable." Sue did not like this new situation. "Where is your brother?" She was now firm, and concerned for the well being of her younger son. The less in a pack, meant the less brothers you had watching your back.
