Garrett had just arrived at the Cullen's house an hour ago. He was quickly shown the little kid and her story. While Garrett loved a good fight he knew this one wasn't one they could win. Yet Garrett was never one to stand down, when evil governments came after the little guy...little girl.
He looked at this as an adventure, it might be his last but weren't they all? He would stay, and while the Cullens wouldn't ask it of him, he would fight by there side, if needed.
Heading out the back door to meet and greet the guest, he had not gone far when his eyes fell on the young blond girl. He grinned and thought, if ever there was an adventure waiting, there she was. "Hello there."

It was still early morning when Kate, Bella and Edward decided to head out side for some nice practice. Bella needed it, and as the days grew colder and colder, Kate knew that Bella needed to be pushed more then she has ever been pushed before. It took years for Kate to be able to project her power upon her skin, it took her even longer to prefect the skill. What Kate had learned in years Bella had to learn in a few short days! If that! She knew it would be hard on Bella, but she was their only hope. If Bella did not gain full control of her power, non of them stood a chance with the wonder twins around. Kate let out a long puff of air, as Bella once again tried, but failed to protect Edward. Poor guy. What he would do for his Bella. If only she could find such a man! She could wish right? "Alright.... go take a rest or something Bella. We'll try again in an hour. Maybe go play Renesmee... Or something??" Kate said to the two, before walking over to the lake. Today was one of those rare sunny days. The clouds over head threatening to take the sun away at any moment. So Kate thought that she would enjoy this sun, while she still could. Kate found a nice rock by the river which she sat upon, lying back on more rocks, just enjoying the sunny moment, her one hand resting lightly on top of the running river water. This was the life. It truly was!
After a short, very short rest, she could feel another vampire approach, one she was not familiar with. Kate turned to look at the older man, a little devilish grin upon her beautiful face. A new comer, a chance to use her power... on an unexpected person. What a day this was turning out to be. "Well Hello there." Kate said sitting up quickly and holding on a hand. "I'm Katrina." Kate said with a small giggle. She had a feeling she might become great friends with this Nomad. He intrigued her, she could not help but like this man. He was a tall, rangy vampire with eager ruby eyes and long sandy hair tied back in a ponytail(Wikia). He sure knew how to dress too. Kate was used to everything be so put together, so orderly, so clean. This man.... oh this man, was oh so very different and she sure did like it! Garrett had missed her training exercises with Bella so he was unaware of her powers, he was aware of her. She was unlike any vampire he had seen before. Her body along could drive a man crazy but that smile was almost sin it's self. "Hello there Katrina." He said in his southern voice. "I am Garrett." He held out his hand in warm greeting, and the moment her strong cold hand was in his firm grasp, he gently pulled her a bit closer with a naughty wink. "There now, we can speak with out yelling." Vampires could hear for miles, and he knew she would know it was an excuse. "Where do you hail from?"

Kate smiled at the new comer. Oh he was... he was something else. In a good way that is! A very good way. "Garrett" Kate repeated to make sure she got the name, and well she liked the way it sounded. "Ohh... forward are we?" Kate asked raising her eye brow as she was pulled a little bit closer. He surely was forward... which was different. Very different...Oh yes... he was pushing all the right buttons, in all the right places. "Well now Garrett... That is a very complicated question..." Kate said with out letting his hand go. Oh no. Two could play this game, and you better believe she would win too. Oh yes. Kate would get what she wanted, and she would do it with her eyes closed. Kate had quite the strong will, and she was quick to use her power. Very quick. One wrong move, and he would be on the floor, though this time she would not run. No not from him. With the short few words they were having, he was already carving a way into her life. She would not let this one go. Now... she just had to get him to give up human blood... that would be quite difficult, but that's besides the point. One step at a time. First he had to get to know her...That should not take long.

"Well, I don't believe in beating around the bush." He gave her a devilish grin. After she finished talking he almost growled. Woman always made men work for there information. It was madding. Still, he was willing to work for some adventure, and she looked like she could be a fun one. "How complex could the answer be? Your either from here. . . or from there." He said then his smile turned teasing, "Unless your so old you forgot." He didn't mind older women, he liked them better, since vampires didn't get saggy.

"Oh don't you?" Kate said matching his little smile. She was liking this guy. He was forward, that was good, there was no guessing with him, which was even better. Kate never had time for the stupid mind games people played. She liked what she liked, and every one would know this. That was that. End of story. Kate just laughed at the sound he made. Oh so that's how it was going to be? Well she would just hold out more information from him. "To old?" Kate said shaking her head. "You better watch your self young man or I'll put you on the ground! I may be old, but I can handle my own." Kate said pretending to be offended. No no, you really could not offend Kate, not really. You could piss her off, but she saw right through this boy's words. He was just fishing, and she was not going to bite. Not just yet. "And for your information I'm from somewhere over there." Kate said putting he hands on her hips. There. She was not from 'here' Forks and that's all he needed to know for now. ((OOC::All credit goes to Leah+Rose from MP for making my posting layout. Icons taken from Google.))

"All that tells me is your not from here." He said, as he held her too him. He wasn't about to let this adventure get away from him. "Come now-" He hand a hint of taughting in his voice but it was still friendly "-surely you know where your from." His hands moved around to her back, to press her a little closer, and to keep her from getting away. "It's not here, then were is their?" One of his hands moved to her hair, letting his fingers run though her hair and tangle in the strands.

"Exactly my point!" Kate said with a smirk on her face. "And I suggest you let me go, unless you want to be on the ground." Kate said not moving much. He could do as he pleased, but he needed to watch himself or down he would go. It would be easy too. She only had to think it, and it would happen. Simple as that. "I'll give you five more second to let me go" Kate said a twinkle in her eye. Oh she was gonna have some fun with this one!!! "Four..." Kate said beginning to count. "Three...Two...." Kate said with a small laugh, charging herself up. Oh she would do it too. And no way was he getting info from her that easy. He had to work for it. Bend over and do a trick or something, until then he would get nothing, besides a little shock. [/color] ((OOC::All credit goes to Leah+Rose from MP for making my posting layout. Four. Was she counting? Three. How cute. Two. He grinned at her in a silent dare, then waited until she said one. Once the vowel was out of her lips, he reached up, grabbed her chin and pulled her up to his lips. He kissed her to let her know, whatever shock she was going to give him could be meet head on. He kissed her deeply, for a moment before letting her go. "Blast off." He muttered, before kissing her again, this time a short little one. "Surely you can tell me where you come from, now? How else will find Cinderella should she run away at midnight?"

"One!" Kate said, seeing that dare of a smile he gave her. Oh must not know what she can do! Oh this would be fun. But seeing that smile, had distracted her long enough for him to kiss her, and how could she say no to that. He was daring... very much so. She liked that. she also liked it, and itched for more, then again, she had to control herself! She had always told herself she would not let a man get the best of her, and look at her now. Making out with a stranger. A hot stranger, but a stranger non the less. Then again, only speaking the few words, she already felt like she knew him. It did not matter where he came from or where he was going as long as she was there with him. He broke the kiss, which upset Kate a bit, and it showed, but after muttering blast off, he kissed her again, if only for a moment. Which was enough to soften her up completely. "Cinderella's from Denali Alaska!" Kate said in an almost daze for a second. Though as soon as she realized she snapped out of it. "Have a good nap Prince charming!" Kate said with a laugh, before letting her change go, and shocking the hell outta him. If he was gonna hang with the big dogs, he had to take whatever she could dish out. It would take about a second, maybe two for him to get back up, which was long enough for her. She sprinted off into the forest. Hoping he would go after her. They needed to be alone. Oh yes, alone was good. And being in the middle of the Cullen's back yard with a ton of vampires around, no that was no alone. And they needed, really needed to be alone! She just hoped he was smart enough to go after her, if not, she would be quiet sad. Then again it would just be another one not up to the challenge of Kate. She was quite the girl.
