this is fact not fiction for the first time in years Carmen sank her teeth into a arctic fox, it was the hibernation time for most the arctic animals which kent rare meals for the Denali cover. This created a lot of tension at times. But today's poor hunting resaults were very unsatisfying, as expected. Carmen disposed of the lifeless, drained carcass of the arctic fox properly and went back home. Eleazar was out, and so was everyone else. They had all attepted to find some good food, hopefully the search was easier for there others.
Carmen sat down on one of the sofas in the livingroom and opened up her book: And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. Normally, shedid not read these kinds of books but this one was very good. A good book only lasted a few minutes though.
(tag: Denalis, or other vampires)

Kate was currently up in her room packing her things. The food shortage was getting really bad this winter, so Kate and Garett were headed to Forks to live with the Cullens for the next month or so. This way the rest of her family could have more food. As Kate packed she herd the downstairs door open, and Carmen walk in. Her foot steps were unique, so Kate was able to tell who was who, just by listening to how they walk. "Carmen!" Kate called softly from her room. No need to yell, Carmen could surly hear her. Any vampire would have been able to hear her. Kate soon came swiftly down the steps, stopping by the sofa next to her so called sister. "What cha reading?" Kate asked leaning over the sofa to see the open pages of the book better. ((OOC::All credit goes to Leah+Rose from MP for making my posting layout. Icons taken from Google.))

"Hey Kate." Carmen spoke to an invisible being infront of her, truely, she was speeking to her 'sister' who was upstairs. Katrina was awsome, and very nice to Cam, she had been that way since the first day she and Eleazar met the Alaskan coven. Not the Tanya, Irina or their 'mother' had not been kind, but Kate was flat out kind and did not judge the two by their pasts. Eleazar did have a rather shady past, what with the Volturi.
When Katrina came and hovered over her shoulder, Camren sighed. "And Then There Were None." She looked up at the blond. [/blockquote]

Kate let out a little giggle. "Oh well that's fun!" Kate said reading over Carmen's shoulder. "Classic book really...." Kate added before hoping over the back of the sofa and plopping down right next to Carmen. "What have you been up to?" She asked with a sigh leaning over, so most of her weight was leaning on Carmen. Kate rested her head on her sisters shoulder, just a sigh. Kate was well bored to say the least. Very very bored! Garrett was who knows where, the rest of the family, off doing whatever it is they do. Sometimes being a Vampire was so not practical. Living forever does get quite boring. Seeing as when you have already done everything you have ever wanted to do... theres not much to do from then on. Also by now, Kate has talked about everything and anything under the sun, with everyone she knows..... How lame. There is only so much you can talk about.

"Yes, quite the classic. It never gets old." Carmen agreed as she placed the book aside on the coffee table infront of her. By then, Katrina was on the couch beside her and was leaning against her shoulder. Cam didn't really mind it. "I came back from a poor hunt a moment ago. Eleazar is still out there as well as Tanya, I believe." She explained to her adoptive sister. "It is getting harder and harder to find the right amount of blood these days without completely wipping out a species. The animals are hibernating." She sighed. (it's ok, don't worry about it. --- mine's short too)[/blockquote]

"I agree, I agree!" Kate said with a bit of a laugh. "I figured they were out hunting..... did you get anything good? Anything at all?" Kate asked with a little sigh. The food source out here was getting quite low again. In order to get a good meal, they had to travel quite far. It was truly getting annoying. Then again if they moved in with the Cullen's that would cause problems as well. When you have 10+ Vampires in once place, hunting gets hard. Just with the Cullen's hunting has to be hard. So going to Forks just would not work. But what can you do about that? theirs only so much food on the earth, and the vampire population seems to be taking off a little.... But whatever? What can you do? Now back to the matter at hand. Kate's boredom. What can she do to spice up the day? Maybe...go out? Get dressed up real nice looking, and see how the human men react? That could be fun. Maybe she would run that idea by her lovely sister. ((OOC::All credit goes to Leah+Rose from MP for making my posting layout. Icons taken from Google.))

Carmen noticed that Kate was in quite a good mood -- she was hyper and positive -- which was not a bad thing at all. It was just nice to see her sister happy. "No. I did not find very much, plus I have to keep in mind that I can not eat indangered animals if possible... But I found an Arctic fox, and I could not find anything else. Thus, I had not choice but to kill the poor little indangered thing." Food was a very critical thing right now and it was not good. "I do hope Tanya and Eleazar find more than I did." She sighed.
"Where is Garrett? I do not smell him here." Carmen asked. [/blockquote]

"Well that sucks..." Kate said with a small humph. "Guess I'll have to travel twice as far to feed... Ah well. I guess it's about time Garrett and I go on a little vacation...." Kate said with a little giggle. "This happens every year.... Maybe we should try and like... breed deer here... or something... stock up?!" Kate said knowing this would not work. Animals did not like Vampires. In fact they hated Vampires. Shoot. Ah well. It was an idea. One stupid idea would hopefully lead to a smarter one. Ah well... "That's a good question." Kate said with a shrug. "I never know where that boy is! He just... Poof, he's gone. Or Poof there he is... I just never know." Kate said with a shrug. "And, I am sure they will travel further this time around. So they might not be back for a few days. But whatever." Kate said with a laugh. It was not that bad. They just had to run further outside of their little town. They would find something somewhere. It just took more looking. Maybe she would try to find a bears den or something. Who knew. She was not worried about it yet. She could still go a few days before she needed to feed. ((OOC::All credit goes to Leah+Rose from MP for making my posting layout. Carmen sighed as she nodded; food was very hard to find. The lack of food caused many things: tension, irritation and mood swings, or the wrong moods at the wrong time. Carmen was having weird mood moments lately. Right now, she was rather calm and bored, which was normal. "Honestly Katrina, that is probably the rediculous idea you have ever had." She shook her head low.
"Hm, yes. I understand that right now. I have not seen Eleazar in a week." Carmen sighed. She missed him terribly.

"Well yes.... I agree... that was quite the stuipd idea... But still!" Kate said laughing a little. "I'm trying here! Maybe my stupid idea will lead to something great? I don't know." Kate said shaking her head once again. "Anyway.... Would you like to go out and look for the boys? It should not take too very long." Kate said with another shrug, now sitting up straight. No longer leaning over her sister. Ah whatever. Lame, lame lame. "I dunno. What is their to do now a days? I'm just so bored?" Kate said tapping her foot lightly on the floor. "Maybe go out to a bar... see what males are out today?" Kate said with yet another shrug. Just another idea. ((OOC::All credit goes to Leah+Rose from MP for making my posting layout. Carmen looked at her sister with a slightly un impressed look. "Kate. You can do better than that." She sighed. "You do have a point. We are extremely low on nutriants." They could not all live together for too much longer because of all the tension they would all have due to lack of blood.
"Yes, I would. I have nothing else to do." And she had not seen Eleazar in a week or so.
