Cassidy grasped the shoulders of her pray, willing herself to stop. Quickly the girl tossed the body across the room, where it crashed into a shelf. Picture frames and nic-nacks fell to the floor with the sound of broken glass. A thin trail of blood seeped from the corner of her lips as she turned to stare at the young girl with curly brown hair cowering in the corner of the house. It was a small house in the middle of seemingly no where. The girl was very young, maybe five. But, though she was young, she knew she was in danger, and her whole tiny frame shivered with fear. Moonlight filtered in through a window next to her, cutting across the darkness of the home.
The girl turned slightly to look at her, blue eyes shining because of the ghostly night light. All was quiet outside. Cassidy strode forward and picked the girl up in her arms; as if she were her own. Cassidy had always wanted a little girl. That was, until she'd been turned into a vampire. Now she knew it was not possible, not that she'd tried. She just knew. Her body hadn't changed since her transformation, and she just kind of figured out that her belly wouldn't change either. Still holding the young girl, Cassidy walked outside. Moonlight bathed her pale skin and after awhile, the girl in her arms looked up at her. "What are you g-going to do with me?"
Cassidy smiled down at her, almost lovingly. But in an instance she snapped out of it. This was not her daughter. She would never have a daughter such as this. For a moment, Cassidy considered changing the girl to keep with her for the rest of forever, but decided not to. 'Adopting' would not be the same, she decided. Slowly, Cass answered the brave young child. "You are a very pretty girl. It would be a shame to cover you in blood."
The vampire's voice was low and steady, almost like she wasn't talking about the young girl's death to her. "But I cannot allow you to live. So, I will kill you quickly. As to not give you pain." Before the young girl had time to scream, Cassidy sifted her to one arm and with the other twisted her neck quickly. After a moment of consideration, Cassidy laid the young girl at her feet and then sat on the porch. "I am sorry, my child." Emotions she was not used to played with her heart. Cassidy did not usually care about her kills, perhaps tonight she was just more vulnerable than usual. [/blockquote]

Alec had informed Aro a vampire he had come across. A vampire with a talent that may be of use to the Volturi as well. Aro was always looking for ways to gain more talents to make the Volturi more powerful. Aro was power oriented and would do absolutely anything for power. The news of a new talent was most wonderful to hear. Aro was most pleased with Alec and having found a new talent. However, even with a chance to gain a new talent there were other issues Aro needed to attend to. There was a newborn out that seemed to be causing problems for the humans were becoming far to suspicious. Any vampire who exposed their secret were destroyed there was no other option. The very reason Aro happen to be here now he rarely left Volterra and when he did it was for very good reasons. However, not only was the suppose newborn in this vicinity but so was the vampire Alec had met. She had quiet an interesting talent from what little he had heard from Alec. Aro was most interested in finding out so much more about this talent. And meeting the vampire, Cassidy himself.
Aro smiled as he saw a young vampire. For all vampires were young to Aro there were very few aside from the leaders and the Romanians that were three thousand years old. Aro was most interested in knowing so much more about this young vampire. Wondering if perhaps she had a talent that would be of use to the Volturi. That would be wonderful! ”Hello, my dear.” Aro had a couple guards with him as always. They were dressed in a dark grey robe whereas Aro wore pure black representing that he was the one in charge, the one in power. ”I am Aro.” Aro loved to introduce himself and allow others to know just how exactly he was. He wanted everyone he met to know he was the leader of the Volturi. To know his position his power it was expected of most vampires to know exactly who he was. His name should certainly be enough to cause reorganization. Though Aro usually told that he was form the Volturi as well to make certain they knew exactly who he was. Aro’s robe and having his guard surrounded him should also be a good indicator of just who exactly he was.
There was much Aro wanted to know about this vampire. How easy it would be to know by reading her thoughts. ”My dear, I am so curouis perhaps you would not mind telling me your name?” Any questions that Aro asked were expected to be answered. He did not accept anyone not answering his questions. It simply was not tolerated and very rare if it did happen. Usually to those who were unaware just how exactly he was. Mostly those new to this life. Just like the newborn Aro still needed to find. Though Aro did not know how old this girl was and there was a dead girl at her feet. This girl could be the cause of all their problems. She is in the right location if so she would be destroyed. Aro would would her thoughts in time but Aro liked to draw everything out. He wanted to make sure the Volturi appeared justified in their actions. He would make certain this was the vampire who was causing problems and if not he would allow her to go. Unless perhaps she had a talent now that would be most wonderful!

Power radiated around the area before the Volturi Leader even came into view. The feeling was bothersome; for there seemed to be no source. The young vampire, in an attempt to convince herself she was delusional, turned around from where she was sitting, and faced the house. Near the door there lay the dead body of the young girl; dead and broken at the neck. Slowly, Cassidy reached out to the girl; shifting her body slightly, and brushed out a lock of hair from the girl's face. Surely this new power was a figment of her imagination; created from the strange feeling killing this little one had given her. As the power came closer, and a black-robbed man came into view, Cass shifted away from the girl; trying to push away her thoughts.
Slowly the man made his way up to her. He was flanked by several guards in fimilar gray cloaks. Before the man even began to speak, Cassidy was formulating who this man was. The power source was clearly him. ”Hello, my dear.” Cassidy nodded in her turn, forcing herself to smile slightly. This couldn't be him. Why would he be here, with her, and not with Alec back where the Volturi lived? He hadn't told her much about Aro, but the beautiful boy whom she missed dearly certainly made it clear that the man was very powerful and used his Guard to do things for him. ”I am Aro.” Cassidy smiled a little more reluctantly. She had figured as much.
”My dear, I am so curouis perhaps you would not mind telling me your name?” Slowly, Cassidy stood up; debating on whether she should bow or not. When she finally decided that would look pretty stupid, she answered the man. "My name is Cassidy." Her reply was soft and unsure; but not too afraid. The girl was very stubborn, and liked to keep to a no-fear policy in her life. If that was what you called your exsistance after you became a vampire. "Excuse me, but what is it you came all the way to me for?"
Cassidy's bright red eyes scanned the elder vampire, refusing to look at the members of his probable Guard. Missing Alec was already enough, but she didn't know what she'd do if she looked and found him standing amoung the hooded Volturi members. [/blockquote]

Renata hovered, her arms extended slightly in an almost zombie-like manor. Her face appeared utterly blank, though it was hard to see as she allowed her dark hair to fall in front of it. She could see just past it easily. Her eyes focused on her pale hands, her mind focused on extending her shield over Aro. There was a high possibility that she did not have to focus as hard as she did, almost seeming a bit obsessed with extending it. She would kill herself, figuratively at least, if anything happened to Master Aro that she could stop. And no one would want to deal with some crazy, suicidal vampire that she would become. Which was why she concentrated so hard on it, to keep herself and others better spirited. That was also why she stayed by his side whenever she could, even if she could protect him from a farther distance. It was a hard habit to break, one that she didn't want to.
There was not a sign of movement on her past as Aro spoke to the girl. Renata knew why they were here, it was fairly rare when she didn't. Her sensitive ears picked up the sound of cloth rustling against skin, and for a split second her dull crimson eyes flickered over toward the girl before focusing again on her hands. The girl was standing up from what she had seen. Various thoughts came to her mind, though she decided to at least try and see the best in this girl and assume it was out of respect. It could easily be considered rude to be sitting when with someone of high power. She returned her thoughts to focusing on stretching her shield over again, though it had not collapsed or even moved the slightest bit when her thoughts had gotten off track. She kept her same position, her hands almost appeared as if sewn into Master Aro's dark cloak. Which in a figurative way, they were.
At the girl's words, Renata glanced once more at her. She appeared to be changed at a fairly young age from her appearance, like Jane and Alec. She looked like a sweet girl, until of course you saw the eyes and body of a young child at her feet. She thought that this might have been the newborn that they had come to dispose of. But she was not sure, and therefore remained silent as she often did. She allowed her eyes to glance around her settings; nevertheless, she kept her thoughts focused on stretching her shield around Aro. There was no need to distract herself and risk putting him out in the open for even the smallest amount of time. She would not allow that to happen with all her power. She thought of it far too risky. If she had been human, she probably would have been biting her finger nails at the moment out of fear. It was a nasty habit, but she would have been too timid to even realize it at the time.

Aro smiled at Cassidy as she told him her name. Aro was certain this was the Cassidy Alec had spoken of the one with an interesting talent how wonderful it would be to gain this talent! Aro was always looking for ways to gain more power, more talents. Nothing pleased Aro more than the chance to gain more talents. Aro was always looking for ways to make the Volturi that more powerful and it pleased Aro greatly when they were able to be that more powerful. ”Cassidy it is most wonderful to meet you!” It truly was wonderful to meet Cassidy. Aro had been so very curious about this young vampire since Alec had told him about her. ”You have met my dear one, Alec, have you not?” Aro knew this was the very vampire who Alec had come across. Aro was most happy to know he had found her. It was always wonderful to come across vampires who had talents.
Though Aro wondered if this was the vampire who had been causing problems. This would give Aro much to consider ifs he was the vampire that was causing problems she would have to be destroyed. Though her talent would make Aro reconsider this. There was simply much to think about to decide on what to do. ”Unless you are the vampire causing trouble?” Aro questioned Cassidy he was very curious if she was the one that had been causing problems. If so she would be destroyed. The Volturi never gave exceptions. Though there have been a few mostly those who had talents Aro simply could not do without. Though with this girl Aro was not certain. She could be useful Aro supposed but then again he could do without her. The fact she had met Alec and knew of the rules would certainly make Aro more inclined to destroy her for she had already had a warning to not do anything. If Alec had been doing his job as he should and Aro expect nothing less from his dear ones.
Aro would find out everything he could about Cassidy. Know for certain she had not been the one to come to close to revealing their existence. If she did Aro was certain he would not hesitate in ordering her to be destroyed. Even if she was to have a talent she had been warned before and had met Alec certainly that was reason enough to fear what would happen if one was to break the rules. ”It would be such a waste to destroy you, my dear, but as long as you have not broken our rules there should be no reason for this.” Aro would not give this girl another chance his mind was made up. Her talent while so very useful was not enough to make him rethink in destroying her. But there may very well be another vampire causing trouble and Cassidy may just be at the wrong place at the wrong time. He would know everything soon enough. He would read her thoughts and know all he could about young Cassidy.

”Cassidy it is most wonderful to meet you! You have met my dear one, Alec, have you not?” Cassidy nodded and fought to not show a physical reaction to his name. Unforchunately, she was unsuccessful. At the mention of Alec's name, the young vampire slid one foot behind the other, and her muscles tensed slightly. She really didn't want to be here with this mysterious man. She wanted to be by his side. It hurt to not be there. "I have," she answered finally.
”Unless you are the vampire causing trouble?” And immediately Cass regretted killing the family behind her. It wasn't that she was dilberately causing trouble, it was that she had no self control. Well, a little, but not enough to keep herself from feeding whenever she wanted. "Is that why you are here? I admit, I feed quiet often, but I moved out to the country to avoid being found out as quickly as in cities. I guess it is possible, for me to be the one."
The way she answered was not quite so serious. It was more humorous and happy. She did not go around screaming 'Hey, I'm a vampire!' to random humans. She couldn't be causing enough trouble to cause the leader of the Volturi to come after her. Could she? ”It would be such a waste to destroy you, my dear, but as long as you have not broken our rules there should be no reason for this.” The word 'destroy' snapped Cassidy out of her thoughts. So they were here to destroy the source of the problem. The young vamp could only hope she wasn't the root of it all. With a questioning voice, the girl said; "Do you believe it is me?" The little girl and family behind her was not to her advantage, but it all came down to his decision. She didn't even know herself if she was the problem, and these rules he spoke of were still new to her. Self control was not her forte' apparently.[/blockquote]

She had met Alec? Renata found the fact somewhat peculiar. She saw Cassidy's physical reaction with her peripheral vision, but did not think long about it. She mused that the girl could perhaps be frightened by the question in some way. That seemed like a possibility to her, but she did happen to find it likely. She was likely to be scared if she had been in the same position as her. The girl also appeared physically younger than her, very child-like. Though, no sympathy for the girl crossed Renata's mind. If this was the vampire that had caused Master Aro to leave the safety of Volterra, there was nothing close to the slightest bit of sympathy, hatred was more likely to be found. Which would be odd for her, she was a more calm vampire. She did not like to fight, she preferred peace. That was just the type of person Renata was, she almost could not stand violence. It disgusted her.
Renata was calculating in her mind as her crimson eyes continued to stare at her pale hands. There was a possibility that seemed rather high this girl was the issue with the family dead. That or it was just a coincidence, but it did not seem likely. The chance of it just seemed to be too high for Renata to think this girl was innocent, especially with the even younger girl's body at her feet. That might have been because she had always had a rather secretive soft spot for younger children. She distracted her thoughts back to her shield, needing to focus on that in her own mind. If she did not it could falter and that would not be good for Renata's mental sanity. Her eyes stared at her hands, as if almost trying to burn a hole through them. She needed to focus, she could not allow herself to be distracted. That was the last thing she needed herself to be, the last thing she wanted herself to be.
Remaining silent as always, Renata allowed herself to only sub-consciously listen to her surroundings. She could here the silence of the area other than Aro and Cassidy speaking. Whatever creatures had been there previously had scampered off, the scent of vampire a warning. Of course it was highly unlikely anyone here was going to turn on one of them, there was not a single person there with the odd golden colored eyes. Stop it! Renata's thoughts shouted at herself at the distraction. She allowed her eyes to shut for a single moment before focusing once more. She could feel the shield, it was like a rubber band. The difference was this was not going to snap back at any random moment, it was staying put. Centuries of practice helped so.

"Yes, my dear." Aro answered calmly. That was the only reason Aro had come personally. He had not expected to come across young Cassidy though this was something not unwelcome. Aro loved to meet new vampires and more when that vampire had met one of his guard members. "We have laws we must keep. It's a question if you have been making the humans suspicious." Aro was more concerned about Cassidy leading the humans to know rather than moving around. Even moving around could lead to suspicion. "We must be very careful around the humans, my dear, we can not allow exposure it simply will not be tolerated." Any vampire who revealed their secret would be destroyed there would be no second chance. Aro would find out if this girl was the cause of all their problems or not. He could not everything with a simple touch and that is exactly what he planned to do. Aro liked to look at every side of the situation before coming to a decision. But with the humans here now drained of blood it made one think perhaps Cassidy was the one behind such.
Cassidy to have a talent that could be of use to the Volturi. This much Aro was certain of, however, if she had been the one to break the rules then she would have to be destroyed. There was very little reason to reconsider such a decision. "It is quiet possible, my dear, we must destroy whoever if causing the problems. If that happens to be you well then we would have found our reason for being here." Aro did not care who it was that broke their rules if it proved to be Cassidy then Aro would have her destroyed. She did have a talent, however, and this did give Aro something to consider. There were times when Aro would not destroy a vampire because of their talent. Or he would go outright against a coven destroy them and give the one vampire he wanted a choice. To be destroyed or join them. Aro was always eager to gain new talents Cassidy's would be useful to be certain, but was it worth not destroying her? This gave one much to consider. Aro would be able to know so much more by reading her thoughts. It would make everything so much easier.
"I could find out everything so easily, my dear." All Aro would have to do was touch Cassidy and he would know her every thought. Aro had paid little attention to Alec when he made him aware of another vampire with a talent. He would have loved to meet this vampire, and so he was, but he had not read his thoughts or found out what he had told the young vampire. "Tell me, my dear, just how much has Alec explained to you?" Aro was curious and he could know everything so much easier by simply reading her thoughts but he would give her the chance to tell him. He would know if she was telling the truth or not for he would read her thoughts and know everything. It was only a matter of time. Aro would take his time in deciding if she was the one who was causing trouble and if so she would be destroyed. There would be no other option. Aro did not think her talent was quiet so useful that they could risk letting her live.

"Yes, my dear." Cassidy's face became blank and she nodded. Oh god. "We have laws we must keep. It's a question if you have been making the humans suspicious. We must be very careful around the humans, my dear, we can not allow exposure it simply will not be tolerated." Exposure? She wasn't causing exposure. At least, she didn't think so.
"It is quiet possible, my dear, we must destroy whoever if causing the problems. If that happens to be you well then we would have found our reason for being here." Cassidy took a deep breath, and replied, "Surely I am not the only vampire in the area? I don't think it is me. I don't cause that much trouble." Cassidy bit her lip and began to freak. What if he thought it was her? She really wasn't ready to die. Or, be destroyed. But she didn't know what to do about it.
"I could find out everything so easily, my dear. Tell me, my dear, just how much has Alec explained to you?" At the name of Alec, she began to spazz out again. She took another step back and answered to something other than his question. "And how would you find out?" But within a minute she found herself answering his question without fail. Carefully, though, she tried to leave out parts that could cause trouble for Alec.
"He told me that the Volturi rules the Vampire World. He also told me that you, Aro, are one of the leaders."
As her thoughts drifted back to that night not too long ago with Alec, pressure began to accumulate on her chest. He said he was going to see her again, but already it felt like he was lying. He was never coming back, and she would never see him again. She immediately missed his hand intertwined with her's. Aro merely smiled at Cassidy after all he did not know for certain if she was the cause for this problem or not but she so easily could be. The humans behind her drained was certainly not something that would lead Aro to believe otherwise though this too could be wrong. "You just may my dear. Looking around you that leads me to believe otherwise. If nothing else you are causing a bit of a problem among the humans. Perhaps to much attention." Aro did not want the humans to become to suspicious of what was happening Cassidy perhaps was not drawing to much attention but he would rather be careful than risk exposure. Aro would easily destroy a vampire with out any second thoughts. If she was the one causing problems she would be destroyed it was a simple as that. "We have not come across any other vampires. You are the first, but there may perhaps be another." It would be easier to destroy all the vampires within the area lower the risk of exposure much easier.
Aro smiled at Cassidy it was apparent Alec had not revealed his talent nor either of the guards mostly like. "I can know every thought you have ever had. I will know if you are the one we are after or not. I will know if you have broken any of our rules. If you have you will be destroyed. If you have not then you will not mind me reading your thoughts will you?" If Cassidy had nothing to hide then she would not mind having Aro read her thoughts. She should have no reason to hide her thoughts. Aro could always force her to read her thoughts. "It only takes one simple touch, my dear. I can always force you to allow me to know your thoughts. Either way I will know your thoughts." One way or another Aro would know Cassidy's thoughts. She could either make this easy and simply allow him to read her thoughts or Aro would order the guards to restrain her so he could know her thoughts. If they were to use force Aro would most likely destroy right then and there. Aro could not say for certain if she was the one who caused this trouble but he was quiet certain she had.
Aro was most eager to read Cassidy's thoughts as he was with anyone he met. He was always very curious about those and Cassidy was no exception. Aro smiled a bit more as she explained just what Alec had told her. Aro was very power-hungry and he loved his position as leader of the Volturi. It gave him much power but of course there was his brothers, Marcus and Caius, who to were just as much of a leader as he was. "Did he explain the rules that much be followed?" Aro asked curiously though once he was able to read her thoughts there would be no need for questions. He could find out everything Alec had told her with one touch. Though he could already know this if he had read Alec's thought but at the time it did not seem important. Alec had told me of this girl who had an interesting talent. It could be of use to the Volturi but not enough to allow Aro to let her live if she had broken the rules.

"You just may my dear. Looking around you that leads me to believe otherwise. If nothing else you are causing a bit of a problem among the humans. Perhaps to much attention." Taking a deep breath, Cass tried to focus. This was real danger, life or death. And the latter seemed so weird because becoming a vampire had changed the possibility of death in her mind to quite some extent. "We have not come across any other vampires. You are the first, but there may perhaps be another." Well then, perhaps she was not to blame after all, if he seemed to believe there could be another vampire. Although vampires apparently grew very good at reassuring and deception. It wouldn't be to hard to do this now. And to her.
"I can know every thought you have ever had. I will know if you are the one we are after or not. I will know if you have broken any of our rules. If you have you will be destroyed. If you have not then you will not mind me reading your thoughts will you?" The idea of Aro reading all of her thoughts scared her. From the minor superfical thoughts to the more deep and intracuit workings of her mind, they were all in her head for a reason. For someone else to know them all bothered her deeply. But obviously, if she wanted a possible way out of this situation, she was going to be forced to be read.
Hesitantly, but then less timid the young vampire stuck out her arm, wrist down and palm retreating. What exactly he needed to touch she didn't know, but perhaps just touch itself would be enough. Then, her thoughts were confirmed. "It only takes one simple touch, my dear. I can always force you to allow me to know your thoughts. Either way I will know your thoughts." Cassidy frowned and remained in place.
"Did he explain the rules that much be followed?" While waiting to be read, her hand still out in the air, Cassidy thought slowly, then answered. "Not exactly. Sorry." Keeping the frown on her face, Cassidy stared at the ancient being infront of her. She wanted this over with; this suspenseful time of waiting. She missed Alec and was fearing for her life. She hated it all.

Aro smiled reassuringly as Cassidy outstretched her arm which would allow him to read her thoughts. Aro made his ways closer toward Cassidy so there was only a few feet between them. Of course the guard were closer to Aro as he came closer to the vampire. Aro did not think that Cassidy would be foolish enough to try anything but one could never be to sure. Aro grasped Cassidy's hand which allowed him to read her every thought. A soft touch was all the was needed to allow Aro to know her every thought. Aro closed his eyes concentrating on her thoughts. While Aro would know her every thought he would only focus on thoughts that he saw as important. He knew every insignificant thought that Cassidy had. Her thoughts were most displeasing as he went over her thoughts more with her thoughts about Alec. It seemed that Cassidy held strong feelings for Alec not something Aro exactly wanted. After all, Alec was apart of the Volturi and one of the most powerful guard members he had. He would not lose him because of this mere vampire. Alec was far to valuable for that. Aro had lost a few before because of mates. And Alec was not a guard Aro was willing to lose.
While thoughts of Alec displeased Aro greatly he did need to find out rather or not Cassidy was the one responsible for causing suspicion among the humans. It was obvious Cassidy had not been causing that many problems. However, with this interesting case with Alec it presented quiet a problem and much to consider. Aro held a very calm expression as he opened his eyes and released Cassidy's hand. There was indeed much to think about. A fact Alec had failed to tell him of this relationship with Cassidy angered Aro. He was suppose to be a loyal member of the guard and yet he does not see the need to tell him this little detail? He obviously felt something for the girl when they went for a hunt and even kissed. Aro would not lose Alec because of this one vampire. It would be best to destroy here and now. Be done with her and have no reason to have Alec leave them.
Aro turned to look at his guard signing for two of them to stand on either side of Cassidy. Aro turned his attention once more back to Cassidy. "You give one much to consider. So many problems it seems you have chosen to inflict and not only among humans, but within the guard as well. Upon young Alec. So many risk you seem to cause." Even if Cassidy was not the reason for the humans suspicion he could use this as a reason to destroy her. He would seem justified in his actions. Aro could not risk losing Alec this was something he would not tolerate. He was to power hunger to allow such. "But do we destroy you?" Cassidy could prove to be quiet a useful guard, but with her relationship with Alec this could cause problems. It could make both of them want to leave the Volturi. Aro could care less about Cassidy, but Alec he could never allowed to leave the Volturi. This was something he would not allow.

As Aro stepped forward to take her hand gently, Cassidy nervous slammed her eyelids shut. Slowly a numb tingling flowed up her arm and up to her head. To someone who was not waiting for it, it would have never come. It was so light and undetectable that Cass had a hard time telling if it were not her imagination. But, moment later, when Aro opened his eyes again and dropped her hand, the thought flowed right out of her head. That was not something to be dwelling on right now.
"You give one much to consider. So many problems it seems you have chosen to inflict and not only among humans, but within the guard as well. Upon young Alec. So many risk you seem to cause." Several seconds passed with thought upon his words that it seemed Cass had nothing in reply. But, eventually she caught up. "I have choosen no risky inflictions upon anyone. The humans, they are there to be fed upon. I am now a vampire. As you know, that is how it works. I chose nothing. And upon your precious guard I have done nothing but met Alec. What happened from there was not choice. I am sure you can understand the choice was never mine." At least it looked that way to the young vampire.
But her words had no effect on what came next. Guards surrounded her, one on each side. Slowly the unfirmilar fear that she had gained from her run-in with Alec made it's way up her spine. They were going to kill her. And yet somehow it seemed she did not really deserve it. Not really. "But do we destroy you?" Cassidy bit down on her lip. She had no reply. Her reply wouldn't matter. But still, Cass replied with a question of her own.
"Is there another option?"

Aro looked at Cassidy calmly he would not allow her to live if it meant losing Alec. Even if she was not the one responsible for the problems among the humans he could use this as a reason to destroy her. Alec was far to valuable to lose. ”Humans are nothing more than prey I do acknowledge this but one must be careful.” Aro held no respect for humans they were nothing but prey but he would not allow them to become suspicious be aware of their existence. That is absolutely something he could not allow. They had worked far to long to have the humans unaware of their existence once he was rid of Cassidy he would find the real vampire responsible for such. ”We simply can not allow the humans to know of our existence. It is of the utmost importance, my dear, that we keep such. Any who break this simple law will be destroyed.” Cassidy was a risk a risk he would not allow. Certainly when it came to his guard he would not allow them to leave him. There were a few, perhaps, that could leave but not Alec. He was simply far to valuable to lose.
”You could have chosen to be more careful, my dear.” Aro knew the draw mates had for Aro knew the feeling very well with his own. Nevertheless Cassidy could cause much problems. Aro would not risk losing Alec for anything it simply would not be tolerated. ”I do understand how it can be difficult, my dear, but you should be able to control yourself. You are not a newborn I have read this clearly in your thoughts. You bring much risk with this relationship something I will not allow.” Aro was power-hungry and he would do anything for power even destroy Cassidy who was really free of breaking any rules. She had not, but still she presented a risk for the Volturi. A risk to lose Alec and therefore some of his power. Aro would not lost any of power if he could prevent such. It would bring much displeasure to him if that was to happen. The very reason he made sure all the members within the guard were loyal for he would have nothing less.
Aro looked at Cassidy curious was there another option? ”We do not give second chances, my dear, there may be some exceptions to this but they are rare and not likely to happen with you.” If a talent proved to be useful enough Aro would perhaps not destroy a vampire. Cassidy’s talent was very interesting and could prove to be useful to the Volturi. If he was to gain her as a guard Aro could use Chelsea to loosen her tie to Alec and make her loyal to the Volturi, to Aro. Aro would always make sure his guard were loyal to him first and foremost nothing would mean more to him than that. As long as the guard remained loyal all was well. But with Cassidy forming such a bond with Alec this could easily present problems. This could make the situation that much more difficult. There was much to consider. Could Cassidy become more loyal to Aro than her feelings for Alec? Perhaps it would be difficult but it could be possible. ”The question of your loyalty if something to consider. You care for Alec, this I know well, but could such loyalty change?”
