The Cullens were getting ready to play baseball Alice had told them there was a thunder storm coming. It was the only time they could play otherwise they would bring too much attention to themselves. It was something they had to be aware of if they wanted to stay in Forks. Edward had decided to bring Bella today and Esme thought it was a fabulous idea. She didn’t really had the chance to talk with the young human and they needed someone to make sure the boys didn’t cheat. She was already there in the forest waiting for Bella to show up.
Soon enough of course she could smell her just like any of the Cullens could of course. She smiled at her first son and then walked over to Bella. “I’m so glad you are here. I need someone to help me keep the boys in check.” She said with a laugh. “How are you?” she asked her.

At first Bella didn't understand why the Cullens wanted to play baseball during a thunderstorm, but she was sure there was a good reason behind it. When they arrived at the field, Bella hopped out of Emmetts jeep and they made thier way to were the rest of the family was already standing around. She looked down at the muddy, mushy ground and made a funny face. This was part of the reason she hated Forks. . The green mush.
The sound of Esmes voice pulled her from her thoughts and she smiled at her. "I'm fine." She said and looked at the rest of the family for a moment then turned ther gaze back to Esme. "Wait, keep them in check?" She repeated, not quite understanding.

 A thunderstorm was coming! Alice was estatic! This only ment one thing: baseball. The perfect storm for a game. Loud thunder, lots of clouds and no rain. It didn't get better than that. Alice skipped around a little, happy and exsited to play. She practiced pitching, too, not that she really needed to practice, but it was fun. The was nothing like a good game of vampire baseball, especially the Cullen way.
Edward was bringing Bella to watch the match. Alice was content with this, however a tad worried for Jasper, but she had faith in her husband. He could pretend Bella was not even there. Emmett didn't seem to mind that Bella was coming either, it was Rosalie that was bothered the most. Rose loathed the fact that Bella was coming along. Ed politely ignored her. After a few moments, Bella arrived, and Alice skipped along over to her and Esme, catching the end of their conversation. "Esme thinks we cheat," The bubbly vampire came to a stop next to her adoptive mother and smiled at both of them. Alice giggled a little after speaking and looked up at the sky. "Almost time, now." She said in an even, happy tone, backing up and turning the other way into her dance-like walk/run. Just a little longer before the storm would peak the perfect starting time. Alice couldn't wait.

Esme smiled loving being surrounded by her family. Even thought Bella was not part of the family yet in Esme’s heart it was like she had always been almost like a part of her had been waiting for her. it might have to do with the fact that Edward had always been on his own without anyone but Esme knew that eventually he would find the perfect girl for him and it seems he had found it in Bella. Once she had told the brunette about keeping the Cullens in check she could see Bella didn’t understand what it was all about.
She didn’t have time to answer before Alice danced over to them and say that Esme thought they cheat. “I know you all cheat.” She said a warm smile on her lips. No matter what Esme loved her family deeply even if they cheat during such games.
