Dyami rowed the little boat to one of the smaller islands on Lake Ozette. The waters were rarely calm, but today there wasn't much activity. For someone of Dyami's size and build the row was an easy one, and it helped work off some of the restlessness he was feeling. He often came to this island, even when he was just a young warrior in his village, to be alone to think clearer. It was the island that not many traveled to, as it was small, and harder to get it; it also had a stark landscape that while was breath taking from afar, make it wary to visitors.
Dyami stepped out of the little boat once he made it to shore, and pulled it up high on the beach so the waters would not steal it from him, should he not claim it back by morning. He often came here, but today it was almost calling him. He knew he should be home, watching the shop or keeping an eye on his pack in order to keep them out of the trouble they so often found.
When he awoke in his large bed, he found him self thinking of it, and as he moved around in his day he found his mind wondering to the island, and knew something was calling to him. It was a few hours yet until darkness, but he could no longer wait, he had to know why it called so to him.

Darkness would be setting on the land soon. And with it brought one of the few times Crystal feared. The full moon would be swollen tonight, and the wolf would run free. Although Crystal and her wolf agreed on many things, and it was a rare occasion that her wolf took over and did something detestable, it still did occur from time to time. So Crystal did one of the few things she could. She went somewhere secluded. Somewhere that no other humans should be. Her wolf could run free in the woods, and Crystal would not fear killing someone that night, hopefully.
The sun was slowly setting and Crystal sat by the shore to watch the water. The wolf inside of her was waking and stretching, she could feel her getting ready for the night, just as Crystal was relaxing to allow the transformation to take place with as little pain as possible. The two had come to terms with one another. She even loved her wolf. Though her wolf yearned for a mate, she would have to just suffer. It was so rare Crystal came upon another werewolf, that she had lost hope, but the wolf was referring to the shape-shifters. Crystal didn't agree. They were different. They didn't understand her curse, her gift. Theirs was different. It would eventually end, and they would grow up, not Crystal her life had ended long ago, the life she shared with the wolf was who she was now.
Of course she did not mind it too much. Just when this time came around. She sighed and stretched out, but as she relaxed into the sound she heard a noise that startled her. Someone was coming to the island. Her eyes quickly searched the water and she saw a man coming toward them. What should she do? What COULD she do? Her eyes glanced into the sky, and she felt herself fear the worst, she tried to reason with her wolf that blood was not the answer, and thankfully her wolf wasn't in the mood for blood, unless of course they threatened her first. This small encounter would be. . . a challenge. Her wold wouldn't let her run, so Crystal stood her ground, tense with worry. [/blockquote]
