Edward wouldn't let one girl ruin his life here. She was merely another human and nothing more. He wouldn't let himself get to involved with her, he couldn't allow that. If he got to close he knew he would be planning as much as he had that first day. It had been a week and he could still smell her scent and it still made his throat burn. He had never felt such a strong pull for human blood before. Edward would not let her run him off again like a coward. Edward was stronger than this. He should be able to resist the temptation Bella presented yet just the thought of her scent of what he had wanted to do was difficult to ignore. Avoiding Bella would be for the best. He would have nothing to do with her. He wouldn't allow himself to associate with her in any way. There was no reason to she was simply a human and nothing more. He shouldn't feel drawn to her.
Edward was uncertain about entering the cafeteria he knew Isabella Swan would be there as well. He followed her though the thoughts of the others mostly Jessica Stanley and Mike Newton they seemed to be the ones who where with her most. Still Edward could not read her thoughts it was very unusual perhaps this strange phenomenon would be enough to not lose control. Edward had never tried to keep such a close watch on anyone before. It made no sense why should he care what she is thinking? She shouldn't be of any interest to him. But even when Edward thought this he couldn't help but to continue to follow her thought the thoughts of her classmates. Edward turned to look at Bella perhaps if he was to look at her he could read her thoughts. But it was of no use. Her mind was silent. She had to be thinking of something. Anything. Yet there was nothing but silence from her mind he could read the thoughts of everyone else around her, but her thoughts completely silence. It puzzled Edward greatly.
Edward quickly made his way out of the cafeteria and continued to watch Bella throughout the day. He followed her though her classmates. Why did she bring such interest to him? Why did he want to know what she was thinking? It shouldn't matter, but perhaps this was good. If he was more interested in knowing what she was thinking maybe he wouldn't be so eager to plan her death like before. Edward would not kill this girl. He would be under control. Edward entered the biology class taking a seat he watched the door intently as Isabella entered the room. He quickly took a breath of air not wanting the scent to reach him. There was not telling how much control he could have the mere thought of what happen a week ago could have him slip control. He could not kill her. Edward would have to speak to her she would be sitting right by her. If he could focus on getting information from her perhaps he could stay under control. And he really wanted to know more about her when he should not.

Forks was not so bad after all. Well okay it clearly was not Arizona, it was wet and cold. But she was getting use to it. and beside spending time with her father was great. He was a lot like her so they didn’t get on each other’s nerves which was clearly a good thing. He had even been kind enough to get her an old truck. And when she said old Bella really meant old. It was always making strange noise and it would probably die soon enough. But she had Jacob who could take care of it if she needed. Jacob, he was her childhood friend and yet he was so different then what he was the last time she had seen him. He had grown so fast it was almost impossible to recognize. Unfortunately he didn’t go to the same school as Bella did so she had to make some friends of her own.
Fortunately for her for some strange reasons some people had already took a liking in her. Mike had shown an interest in her that looked a lot more then simple friendship, while Jessica who clearly had a crush on Mike seemed to want to keep Bella close for that very reason. The 3 of them and left their English class and were now headed to the cafeteria. This was where she had first seen the Cullens. They were like no one she had ever seen before. They were all more beautiful then the next and they were together. Jessica had seen disgusted by such a thought. And then there was Edward. He looked like a model but even better. And from what Bella had managed to learn about him, he didn’t date, apparently he didn’t think the girls of this school were good enough for him. Bella didn’t know if that was the case. He looked so mysterious and yet interesting. They had a class together but things hadn’t been quite great. Edward had moved his chair as far away from her as he could and Bella had wondered if she smelled. He had left as soon as the bell had rang. She had seen him after the class and he was trying to have his science class changed. Bella was sure this had something to do with her but she didn’t understood why or what it was. After that, Edward had been gone for a week. She had been a week without seeing him. She had planned on talking to him but he was nowhere to be found which was annoying.
But now they were off to science class. The class where she sat next to Edward. She could barely concentrate on Jessica’s non-stop blabber and simply nodded her head here and there. It was not as if Jessica would even notice this anyway. She was lost in her own little world. Bella was shocked when she walked by and saw that Edward was sitting down at his seat. Where had he been the past 5 days? She made her way to the seat that had been assigned to her. She didn’t look at Edward, she couldn’t look at him. She took her books out of her bag and carefully placed them on her desk. She wanted to say something to him but now that he was there she had no idea what to say.

Edward kept his eyes on Bella as she entered the classroom. Still he could not read her thoughts. Edward was careful not to breath he knew how easy it would be for him to want to kill her. But he couldn’t. Before Edward had realized how sweet her blood was he wanted to protect her. As ridiculous as that was the only person Bella needed protection from was him. Edward was the most dangerous thing to her and yet he craved her company. He wanted to know all he could about her. Her thoughts were blank she must be thinking something. She must have some thought about him but there was nothing. It was very annoying to not be able to read her thoughts. Edward could read the thoughts of everyone else Jessica, Mike their thoughts were perfectly clear and yet Bella. Nothing. Perhaps this interest would be enough to save her life. To not allow Edward to lose control. He had yet to breath in her scent and he could still remember how appealing she had been. More so than any other human he had ever come across. Edward just hoped he had made a good choice in coming back. He had planned to ignore her completely but being here with her now he know he could not.
”Hello, I am Edward Cullen.” Edward could not help but introduce himself. He did not know just how much she remembered of their last meeting. He had been completely rude, completely over ruled with thirst. As Edward spoke he could taste her scent Edward tighten his fist he tried to relax but he knew it wouldn’t be to long as he he sat her with Bella. ”You must be Bella.” Edward would keep talking. It would probably help keep his mind off the thirst he was feeling. He could so easily fall for the thirst one more but he knew he couldn’t. He did not want to Isabella Swan it would kill him. He didn’t know why but he felt protective over her when he shouldn’t. It made no sense. He was the one person she would need to protection from. He was more dangerous than anyone else she could ever come across and yet he felt protective. And she interested him unlike anyone else before. Was it because he could not read her thoughts? Was there something more to it? Edward did not know. He did not know why he felt this or why he was even trying to talk to Bella.
The best plan would be avoid Bella at all cost but he was not. He wanted to know her he wanted to understand her. Know what she was thinking. What she thought about him. This interested him intently and it shouldn’t. It made no sense for Edward to want these things it was not right. Yet here Edward was introducing himself to Bella. He wanted to know what she was thinking what she thought of Forks, of this school, his family, everything. He did not know if she would trust him enough after that first day. He had wanted to kill her. He still did he was careful not to breath. Vampires could probably go on forever without breathing but that did not take away her scent. Every time he spoke he could taste her scent. It made his throat burn made him want to attack her. But he would not. He could not kill her. He had prevent himself form doing so.

There he was, standing there like a perfect statue. He was the most beatiful person she had ever lay her eyes on. Yet she was still mad at him. It was not as if she really had a reason to be mad at him, it was simply that she couldn’t understand why he had acted the way he did before. And also where he had been before. Who left school for a week and no one seemed to be able to tell her where he had been. She could have asked him, but she didn’t felt strong enough and beside what was she supposed to say. What was she supposed to ask. She wished she had waited a bit longer before entering the classroom. If she had waitewd a bit more at least she wouldn’t have to sit in this silence. She could have simply listen to the teacher and things would have been great. But no now there was at least 5 minutes before the class was to start. Her books were already out and there was not a lot more that she could do. But then as if he had been reading her mind Edward Cullen started to speak. She turned around to look at him.
The words came out from a suave voice and confident. He was presenting himself to her. But even more amazign he used the name she wished people would use. She had spend her first week here correcting people when they use the name Isabella. It was not that she hated her name but she’d rather if people simply use Bella. Edward seem to have already known that. It took her a few seconds before she was actually able to answer him. ‘’Nice to meet you Edward.’’ She started. ‘’And yes I’m Bella’’ she added looking at him. ‘’How have you been’’ was the next thing to escape her lips. Even if the real question she had wanted to ask was where had he been for the past week. Or even why he had acted that way to her before that. But she couldn’t do such a thing. He was rather nice and she figured there had to be a reasonable explanation for all of this.
Bella could hear the other people whispering behind them and all around them. Bella didn’t like to be part of the gossip, but ever since she had moved in here, it had been non stop. Jessica had told her she was the shiny new toy. But it had been a week now, she wished people wouold get over this. But now that she was talking to Edward well people were bound to talk. The dark and mysterious Cullen rarely talk to anyone and now he had strike up some sort of conversation with the new girl. A few moments later, the teacher started his lessons. Bella tried and concentrate on what he was saying but she clearly had a hard time. From the corner of her eyes she could see Edward and she waned to take a good look at him but of course this was no possible.
