The past couple of days for Jasper had been . . . interesting. He had come here obliviously with Alice upon meeting her for the first time. And to be honest, she was the only one he really trusted. There was a large family of vampires here . . . and they were a kind he had never encountered before. Not only were they extremely caring (as far as Jasper could tell) but they were . . . vegetarians. Who would ever have thought there was such a thing as vegetarian vampires. Though Alice had spoke a bit about it, it was still surprising to Jasper.
Regardless, he felt somewhat comfortable here. The other vampires residing in this house were not like Maria and those he had come to know in the past. They were kinder . . . less hostile, and he could sense their kindness. It was a comforting feeling, to be around such vampires. For a change, he did not feel anger and vengeance. Then again, he had grown used to the lack of those emotions when he had spent time with Alice, prior to arriving here.
Still . . . the constant thirst Jasper felt was difficult to endure. He thirsted for blood. Not animal blood; human blood. Animal blood did not give him the satisfaction that human blood did, and so he wondered how he could ever live his life surviving on a vegetarian diet. Right now, it seemed impossible. He lacked so much self control.
Carlisle, the head of the family and probably the kindest one -- other than Esme -- had offered to take him hunting. While Jasper was slightly reluctant, he was extremely hungry too. How could he ever turn down an offer to eat? He met Carlisle outside, prepared for their little hunting trip . . . wondering if Alice would be joining them. He really had not done much without her. He had come with her, and wished to remain with her. He felt she was part of him now.
He looked at Carlisle, ready to go and still curious. "Are you ready to depart, Sir?" He asked him politely. His formalities caused him to call Carlisle 'Sir' . . . at least for the time being. He was still new here . . . Carlisle had opened up his home to him, not sure what to expect from such a violent vampire as himself . . . Jasper had a great respect for the doctor.
--- Tag Carlisle ---
[[ I am not sure where they should be or anything, so I figured they could go hunting for some bonding time or something . Let me know if you would like me to change it! ]]

Jasper looked at him and gave the vampire a bit of a nod, revealing that he was ready to go. Though he had to admit he was a little nervous going with Carlisle, or going anywhere without Alice, he knew it was necessary. Since the moment he had met her, he felt as if he would never be able to be away from her. Especially arriving with these vampires, who were strangers to him, but who were so familiar to Alice for she had foreseen this for quite some time. He knew she would always feel more comfortable here than he ever would . . . or would this not be true in a few years? Only time would tell.
"I would greatly enjoy that. It would be an honor Sir." As he motioned to the woods, Jasper was not sure what to think about that. He had been looking for an alternative lifestyle, and here it was . . . but at the same time, he was never sure if he would be able to restrain himself. The smell of human blood was far too strong. It was too great. How could he never drink it again? Was that even possible for him? Would he still be accepted in this coven if he did not share a similar diet? No. He had to. He needed to. There was a reason he had left Maria; there was a reason he had been desperately searching for another way to fill his hunger, without having to feel the torture of humans and the emotions that ran through them while he did so.
Jasper was not going to argue with him; he would follow his lead. "Have you always had this unique diet?" Jasper asked. There was so much he wanted to know about Carlisle's lifestyle. It was one Jasper had never come across before, so it greatly fascinated him.
[[ No worries. Mine is shorter ]]
