Jasper let her speak with no interruption. Her emotions were scattered and he was not influencing them. Whatever rant she needed to make, he let her make it without speaking in between. Was she really blaming them? Well, it would not come as a surprise since they were enemies and because they were forced to work together perhaps that made her more bitter. When she seemed to be done, he paused for a few moments allowing silence to fill the air.
"I agree with you there," he stated when she commented on the weather. He held back a smile. It was a little funny that they ended up discussing the weather. It was always a topic of conversation that was brought about to make things less awkward between people . . . the weather, politics, and sports.
"We have a right to reside here. I apologize if it is something you do not want, but my family has been here for many years and we have not broken the treaty. Do not blame us for your transformation. It is in your blood to be wolves. You descended from them, so it is inevitable. "No one is stopping you from falling in love." His comment was a slightly bit taunting . . . but in the most subtle way. He did not understand the complexities of imprinting, nor did he want to. "You have shown you are capable of falling in love. You are able to. Do you really feel upset about the inability of others to do the same?" It was a genuine question . . . perhaps only the smallest bit sarcastic. Jasper himself was not even sure.
"The fact that Forks lacks sun majority of the year, is precisely why we have lived here so long. It is easier to blend in. Easier to act . . . human." He was justifying their choice. But Jasper did not feel guilty about the fact that they transformed because of them. It was who they were.

Leah just rolled her eyes. She was not in mood to hear her defend his dead life. She would hope he choked on his next meal but, he was already dead. It wouldn't do her any good. "Save for someone who cares. They way I see it, your playing human is un-natural and that is why the un-natural happens around you, freak-a-zoid."
Leah stood up and walked over to him, standing with only a few feet between them. "Go back to you play house, and let the wolves defend the woods. You've had your snack."

For a brief moment, Jasper had believed they were having a mature, civilized conversation. But once the word 'freak-a-zoid' came out . . . he knew his belief was completely wrong. "If you insist on talking negatively about my kind, and blaming them for all your problems, then of course I am going to defend my family."

"Out-Of-The-Woods-Mr-Sparkels." Was her only reply. She was done being nice, and this was nice for Leah. She wanted to get back in wolf form and run until her arms hurt, to deal with Jake's issues and not her's. He didn't even seem to see how he could he the one they blamed! THEY came here! They did this to her! Why did he not see that! Damn him!

"Ladies first." Jasper was debating whether to hunt something else, just to give himself an excuse to stay longer. He missed Alice dearly, but he also wanted to have enough to eat -- or drink rather -- before returning home so that he would not have to go again for several days. "Go patrol somewhere else dog."

Leah did a very mock military moved and about faced and walked away. She didn't know she was mocking his past really but of she had known she had gotten more joy in the move.
She walked, around some trees and right out of sight. Her mood, was pure anger. She was here to do a job, and he was breaking rules! FINE! LETS BREAK RULES! She thought as she whipped off her pants, and tied them to her leg with her shirt.
When she reappeared, she was in wolf form, and growling.

When she was gone, he believed he was going to get his much needed peace . . . oh dear was he ever so wrong. Here she was, returned . . . as a wolf. Great. Wonderful. Fantastic. He growled at her himself and stared at the beast. "Go scratch your fleas somewhere else dog." At least now, she could not speak to him. No . . . but she could certainly attack him. Which was better, not hearing her voice or not being threatened by an attack? . . . Definitely not hearing her voice was far better. At least now he could concentrate.

With a low growl the grey wolf circled a wide half loop until Jasper was now in between her and his home. Now she just had to move him that way. Tilting her head to the side, as if asking a silent question Leah waited for his answer. They question was simple of coarse. Are you going to walk home, or do I drag you, Leech? Not that she could ask him that. The sentiment was there, however.

Jasper had no intention of running. It was not in his nature to be a coward in a fight. Of course, he was not like Emmett in the sense that he was always looking for a fight and jumping at the opportunity. He just upheld his honor. He watched the werewolf with careful eyes. Making sure it was always in his line of sight so that there would be no surprises. He was ready. If she was going to make the first move . . . he would retaliate. He would not be the one to break the treaty.
"Wait." No, it was not his way of stalling. He was immediately distracted by the possibility of a fight with this dog. "Smell that." There was an odor in the air . . . an unfamiliar one.

It was a damn good thing Leach boy could not hear her thoughts. YES! I smell that, moron! She thought bitterly and send him a sharp low growl. She did not need--Did that smell get closer?
Leah turned her back on the leach and inhaled deeply. It was getting closer, but in a round about way. It was an overly sweet bitter smell. Vampire. Comming from the woods to the house....
Leah's head tiled as she was thinking, all the leaches where in the house but this one. No other smells had lead away from the house. Someone new? A friend?....a foe?
Leah moved slowly forward and waited for him to stop her. Was this someone Jake wanted her to protect, or was this someone who she was meant to fight?

She too seemed distracted by the new scent. At least her nose was working even if her brain was not. "It is an unfamiliar scent to me." He felt that was a necessary clarification. An unfamiliar vampire in Forks was never something safe. It caused for a great amount of caution. Jasper turned to eye the space between the trees. "It is coming closer." He looked back at Leah. "Easy. Do not attack right away." He did not know how impulsive this wolf was . . . especially since she had a lot of built up anger.

You did not hunt Cullens, Cullen-Friends, or Cullen-Guest. There was nothing in the rules about random Vampires that you happen to catch in the woods. The leach did not finsh getting his order out before Leah jumped over a shrub and started following the sent....
...and caught the smell of human blood. That crosses anything Sparkle Leach said. It was a old smell, the blood dried. They must have spilled some on them when they hunted. Either way, they wouldn't live to spill again.

The blood was what caught Jasper's attention. It smelled so . . . delicious. Though Jasper had just hunted, nothing ever compared to the sensation of drinking human blood. There would forever be a void in his stomach . . . an unquenched thirst, so long as he did not drink human blood. But the wolf was here. He could not give in to the temptation. It was times likes these that he regretted leaving the house with Alice. She would have been able to help. This wolf woman could not even begin to understand.
Stay Calm Jasper. Just think . . . what would Alice do. She would tell you to be strong . . . not to give in. She would tell you that you have worked so hard to maintain this diet and that going back to it would be disastrous for the entire family..
Jasper's attempt to calm himself was not as effective as it would be if Alice were here. She would do a much better job. She would calm him simply by being near him.
"That . . . way." He was hesitant, but he could not lose control.

Leah rolled her wolf eyes at him and plotted to explain that she knew which damn way to go. Her noise had to be better then a leaches! She wasn't a dumb ass, she could follow her noise!
Not that ranting in her head made her feel better. Leah followed HER noise and tracked HER prey though HER woods, while ranting a HER (eww) unwilling, witless sparkling side kick! When she got so close the smell almost choked her, she made her fur stand on end and gave a glow, strong growl. A warning.
The Leach was tall, and big. Not as big as the huge Cullen but, big enough. Dry blood was on the sleeve of the faded and ripped jacket he wore. Leah wanted to make a comment, something to lead up to the kill and bad ass, but she couldn't.

Jasper did not need instruction . . . not that he could get it from her anyway. He followed the scent and upon arrival saw Leah and the stranger; the stranger who was wearing a jacket . . . a stained jacket . . . a blood stained jacket . . . a jacket that smelled . . . good. Oh . . . dear. Jasper stared at the blood. Though it was dry, the scent was still strong. Who had this vampire killed? He had disturbed the peace in Forks and they were not going to let him go so easily.
Jasper stood with his back straight, and his hands folded behind him. In this formal, military stance, he was trying to maintain composure. The last thing he needed . . . was to give Leah a reason to rip him apart. He stood on the opposite side of Leah, so that if the vampire tried to run, it would be difficult for him to turn around. Of course . . . with Leah's speed, he would not get far, but perhaps he already knew that.
The emotions Jasper felt from the vampire were hostile. He did not seem the kind to chat . . . there was also fear in him, which Jasper knew was from the presence of a werewolf. This could be used to their advantage. "Have you come here for a reason?" Jasper's tone was calm, despite the immense difficulty he was experiencing. He did not even have his wife . . . or any other family member to help him. Just a wolf . . . who was probably rooting for him to break the treaty.

Leah was rooting for Jasper to break the treaty. Just for him to do it after, this guy was sent to the nearest campfire. Leah tiled her head while watching the vampire as if to echo Jasper's question.
"I thought I smelled friends" The vampire hissed, giving the impression he had not meant friends but, others like him. "You have a mighty big pet there, friend"
The growl that came from Leah was deep and pissed off. She glared at the vampire and took a step closer.

Jasper glanced at the wolf as if to tell her Wait!. He looked at this vampire who called himself friend. It was not unnatural to assume that they shared his taste in dietary preferences . . . vegetarian vampires were rare. "The word friend has yet to be determined." Once again, his tone was calm and not in any way aggressive. Jasper did not want to kill this vampire unless they had no choice. He would not run from the fight, but he would only retaliate.
"This wolf will not attack unless you give it a reason to." He purposely used the word 'it' and gave instruction to it since the wolf could not speak for herself. "If I may ask, what brings you here to Forks?" He had to inquire on this vampires activities. If he was going to spend a significant time here, killing humans . . . he would not live very long.
While still looking at the vampire, Jasper kept an eye on Leah. Hopefully . . . she was not impulsive enough to simply attack him. This vampire was large. It may very well take the two of them . . . and that was not putting any potential abilities he may have or his skill into account.

Did that sparking sad excuse for a leech just call her an it? Leah growled but this time in warning to BOTH blood suckers around her. To top it off, Leach Boy: The Glittering Wonder had not denied she was not his pet. He just keep talking!
"Tell your wolf to heel and go home and we can be friends."
Leah decided if Leach Boy was going to pretend she was his pet she was going to make his life miserably. She started wagging her tell and gave a bark as a dog might do when happy. She pranced in her giriliest way she could over to the new vampire and moved as if to pass him to 'heel' to Jaspers side. However she stopped to sniff the vampire, when her noise filled with his horribly sweet sent she snorted trying to get it out of her noise. Apperently the Vampire, while was unsure of her, saw her as nothing more then a pet who took orders, because,
He hissed a 'Oh bite me' under his breath at her reaction to his smell and looked back at Jasper to comment on something else, when,
Leah followed orders. She quickly reached over and sank her teeth into his leg and ripped most the meat off of the bone, snapping the bone closer to the foot and pulling it all the way off, before looping over to Jasper in one smooth leap. It might not have come to a fight, but Leah made sure this vampire was not going to walk away. Her job was to protect and kill.

What on earth was Leah doing? She was galloping all over the place . . . somehow looking less menacing than a werewolf should to a vampire. She was acting . . . like a little puppy. Her change in character was going to put them at a disadvantage as this vampire was not going to believe they were serious if they made a threat.
"It depends on your actions here." It must have looked strange to the stranger indeed. A werewolf and vampire 'teamed' together. It looked extremely abnormal. While Jasper waited for a response from the nomad, he kept a watchful eye on Leah . . . but unfortunately it was too late.
The air was then filled with an agonizing cry, as the vampire clutched what was left of his severely mutilated leg. Everything had happened too quickly for Jasper to prevent it. He gave Leah a look of disbelief as she resumed her position to his side.
"Not the wisest move dog," he said in a voice just loud enough for her to hear . . . but not the vampire who was clearly angered as he mourned the missing part of his leg. "Leave peacefully. We do not feed in the traditional ways you are used to here. There is a pack of wolves who protect these lands and they will stop you if you continue to hunt in these areas." It was a warning to the vampire. While Jasper may not know him, or like him -- though he really did not have any opinion of him -- he sympathized with him. Jasper was friends with vampires who drank human blood . . . it was normal for them. It was very hard to alter their diet, and so Jasper felt he at least owed a warning before this stranger did something regrettable.

Leah felt she owed the vampire's victims a slow death to their murder. Jasper could warn all he liked, but Leah was here for the kill, not the chat. She let out a growl and dropped his leg and made sure it was far enough back he couldn't get to it. Her fur rose on ends, and she would have circled the downed vampire but she did not want him getting he leg back. She got the idea she was in this alone since the freak of freak vampire was not going to kill one of his own to back her up. She glanced over at Jasper to glare and that was her one mistake, the other vampire lunged at her...

Regardless of the fact that there was supposed to be an understood animosity between werewolves and vampires . . . a truce, and partnership had been established between both species for the time being. Despite the fact that he did not particularly care for this werewolf . . . Jasper had warned the vampire to leave and his actions were proving that he had no intention of doing that. He told himself he would not attack . . . but he would react, and that is exactly what he was going to do. He had sensed his hostility from the moment he meant him, but the fact that it continued to grow gave Jasper the advantage he needed. He sensed what he was going to do . . . and so was able to stop it in time.
When the vampire lunged for Leah, he made a dash -- thanks to his abnormal inhuman speed -- and positioned himself in between Leah and the vampire. As if that were not enough, he wanted to create distance between her and the attacker so pushed him back with a tremendous amount of force. Jasper was showing that he had chosen his side. Even though they were both vampires, he would not encourage him . . . Jasper hoped his actions were enough to force the vampire away before things became worse than they already were.
"Leave peacefully." The odds would be in their favor . . . two against one. He was giving the vampire one more warning. "Do not cause any more trouble here." He watched the vampire extremely cautiously, while his mind wandered to the rant he may receive from Leah when she returned to her human form about how she could take care of herself. He was not looking forward to that . . . but he would focus on one thing at a time and this issue was more pressing and of greater importance.

Leah was not as kind as Jasper. The stupid leach had tried to jump her when she wasn't looking! Anger took over and Leah saw red. She was going to rip his head off and chew on it for a while. Litterly!!
Leah jumped clear over Jasper and right at the vampire, sinking her teeth into his shoulder and pulling at it until it and allot of meat attached came off. She tossed it to the side and growled as the vampire lunged at her with his teeth bared. Leah was fast in long distance runs but side stepping and fighting, were her weak points. She just barely moved fast enough to doge the teeth, but he got in a strong swipe with his hand. Leha let out a short yelp before going for the same hand.

Impulsive. Impulsive. Impulsive. There was no plan to their actions . . . they were just doing whatever they pleased. Correction: Leah was doing whatever she pleased. This was not the way to engage in combat. Maybe this was how werewolves fought. Had Jasper not had the feeling that the vampire was not going to leave in peace . . . then his objection to attacking him would have been greater. But stopping Leah now would only stall the inevitable. Though at the moment . . . Leah was taking it personally. He could not entirely blame her . . . but she was going to get herself killed. She already became injured by the vampire. Jasper was going to have to intervene.
Jasper took advantage of the vampire's temporary reaction to Leah biting his hand. He pounced on the vampire and ripped one of his arms off. The once quiet air filled with the cracking of the tearing limb. It was a morbid sound no doubt . . . but nothing that a vampire and werewolf could not handle. He threw the arm far away. Away enough so that the vampire could not get to it before Jasper or Leah got to him.
In another motion, while the vampire was distracted by both his missing arm and injured hand, he ripped off the vampire's leg -- the same one that Leah had practically ripped off. Now it was completely gone, and he threw it on the opposite side he threw the arm, but at an equal distance. Leah and Jasper were slowly tearing this vampire to shreds.

Finally! Leach boy was taking action! Leah thought as she ripped off the hand she held and tossed it aside. Ha! Not a leg left to stand on nor a helping hand to---ummm, help.
Leah would have rolled her eyes but she went in to the sides and bit in and ripped some off. Yeah baby! Jasper might have not wanted to kill someone, but Leah did not see this vampire as a human, only a human killer. That only reason her kind had left the Cullens alone was because they didn't hunt humans. Which she would have just killed them right off the bat anyway, but it wasn't her call.
She had to avoid it's teeth. Vampire bites killed her kind quicker then a snack biting a rabbit. It was deadly and a sure thing.

Leah seemed to be having far too much fun doing this. She would not think the same if it was a werewolf they had to destroy. What made Jasper the most hesitant was the fact that he knew exactly what it felt like to feel as if there was no other option to survive. A lot of vampires were not introduced to the 'vegetarian' way and so they did what they had to do to ensure they lived . . . in their immortal way. Had Jasper not met Alice . . . he may have very well been ripped apart and burned for his actions.
While these thoughts flooded Jasper's mind, they did not cloud his judgment. They had already come this far and he knew that this vampire was not going to pass without a fight. He had every intent to kill them so that they would not be another obstacle for him. Unfortunately . . . they were the ones who were killing him.
While Leah continued to bite chunks of his body off, he went for the main part that would have caused the most problems: the head. There was a reason Jasper had so many scars on his body . . . and it was because newborns -- and more vampires as a matter of fact -- used their teeth as a weapon. It made sense too, seeing as how they were venomous and painful to with stand a bite from. Had Leah not been here, it would have been more difficult to get in such an advantageous position to be able to do what Jasper did next. He moved behind the vampire, and in one powerful motion, ripped his head right off of his body. He tossed the head the furthest . . . further than the hands, and legs, but not far enough to be out of sight since it would be easier for them to burn the body.

Leah was wondering how to tell the vampie to start a fire. She couldn't change into human real quick and do it, she was naked! She had a limb of some sort in her mouth and was shaking it like a dog did when they were playing with their food.
Ok, it was more half the soon to be dead vampire's torso then it was a limb. She was a big girl, she could handle it. She dropped it on the ground and saw the head flying at her. Leah ducked and then glared at Jasper. She walked over and sat on the rest of the torso and watched him. It was time to burn the sucker....the blood sucker...

Jasper paid no attention to the direction of the head. He even ignored the glare recieved from her. He was distracted looking around at the torn pieces of the vampire. Now . . . for the next step. They had to burn him. While Jasper did not regret his actions, he still did not enjoy destroying this vampire's life. And it irritated him ever so slightly that the dog took so much enjoyment in killing a vampire.
He looked at her as she held part of the vampire's body before resting on their victim's remains. "We need sticks for the fire. Go fetch some." Jasper's tone was not harsh or demanding -- though the words may have sounded so -- but he also did not realize the humor behind telling the dog to go fetch a stick. It took some time for the joke to set in, and when it did, an ever so slight smile formed on his lips. It was not as if she could object . . . she could not talk. He then turned his back to as he began to pick up the pieces to gather them together . . . preparing them to be burned.

Did that vampire bastard just tell her to fetch?
Leah get a mental thought to pushing him into the fire when it was build, and just sat there glaring at him refussing to move. (That was until the dismembered hand started moving.) Giving a hiss, that sounded more growl she turned and got sticks.
Stupid vampire. Stupid sparking, leach headed vampire. Leah knew the moment this was done she was going to open up and tear him a new one. Literally, open him up, and tear him a new hole.

Jasper's amusement only grew when Leah replied to his . . . command. It sounded more of a command than a request. Jasper was used to leading -- when Alice was not around anyway -- . He hid his smile however, trying not to be too smug. They had defeated an intruder as a . . . team. Oh dear. That word used to describe the partnership between a vampire and werewolf was highly uncommon. It still did not sound right . . . but nevertheless, it was true.
When he finished piling the vampire's limbs in a group, he took out a lighter from his pocket. He was ready to end this . . . and he was uncertain as to what would happen next. Prior to the vampire's arrival, him and the wolf had been very close to starting a small battle of their own -- sort of -- would they continue where they left off? Or would they both remain civilized and admire their work long enough to depart from each others presence?
. . . Only time would tell.

When the fire was started Leah sat there a moment staring into it as if just to make sure nothing jumped out or anything, then she stood slowly, turned and walked into some bushes, held held high.
When she reappeared in human form and clothes she marched right up to him, pulled back her fist and hit him. . . it of coarse broke her hand and hurt her more then it even would phase his rock hard skin. Damn him very much. She flexed her fingers then cracked her knucks as it started to heal. OW! DAMN IT!
It made her mad enough to kick him, which of coarse, broke her toe. (Not that it takes more then a few seconds to heal either).
