Alice's question presented the opportune moment and the perfect opening to reveal his own ability. He did not want to keep anything from her . . . he wished to be completely honest with this vampire, and just hoped he had not betrayed her trust by taking so long to tell her this. "I in fact, possess an ability as well," he began. He was not stalling, but he did not want to ramble on and on. He wanted to word it properly.
"I possess the ability to control the emotions of those around me. However, with that skill comes the emotional influence of others on to me." He needed to be more honest than that. "When I first saw you . . . one of the many things that drew me to you and caused me to stare was your pure, sincere happiness. I have never met anyone like that before. Your joy radiated on to me; not figuratively: literally. When I am around someone for a certain amount of time, I can feel what they feel. And react based on those emotions." He had however gotten better at controlling them. He had a few years of practice. His time with Maria did not count since he had made no effort to withhold her emotions from him . . . he accepted them, and let them determine his actions.

Alice's eyes stared at the man for a few minutes, before she finally spoke. "Emotions?" Alice was surprised, for her visions could not actually show her such a thing. It was nice, she thought, that he trusted her enough to tell her of himself. If only a little bit. But Alice didn't exactly know how to react to this, so she merely stood still, staring at him. Finally, she spoke again, "What draw me to you was of course knowing I'd meet you there." But even this seemed like a cheesy answer.
"I'm sorry. I've just never really met another vampire with an ability before." She smiled as she continued, "But your ability sounds amazing. Mind if I ask how it works in return?" He had asked how her's worked, so could she not do the same? There was much curiousity in her voice as she spoke, and her eyes returned to normal size. He just became more and more interesting to her.

Jasper smiled as she explained what drew her to him. Her feelings were contagious and he was feeling the joviality slowly build within him. "I suppose both of our abilities enabled us to approach each with other with some level of confidence." Though Jasper's confidence had not been great . . . he still knew he wanted to be next to her. He knew he wanted to talk to her.
"You have no reason to apologize. I understand. I have not encountered many who possess abilities such as yours and mine. In fact . . . I have never met another like you." He -- of course -- meant that in the best way possible. "You may ask me anything you wish Alice," he told her sincerely. He wanted to be as honest as he possibly could with her. She had done the same . . . she deserved nothing but truth.
"When I am around someone who has a particular emotion or feeling . . . it somehow emanates on to me. I can not describe how, for I myself do not understand the complexities of how it is possible. In my mortal years, I suppose one could say I had a certain charisma about me. That somehow channeled in to something greater once I transformed." Or was transformed would be the more appropriate way to state it.

Nodding as Jasper explained how they both were able to have confindence to approach a total stranger, Alice smiled. It seemed.. weird when you put it the way she had just thought it. But she didn't care, all that mattered was they were here now, and that's how she was liking it. Listening intently as Jasper explained what he could of his ability, Alice replyed, "Does that ever... Cause you pain?" Alice had turned his question around on him, a concerned look on her face.
[UGH sorry didn't know much of what to say]

Jasper was touched by her concern. He did not want to further worry her, so he made sure he phrased his answer properly. "Not quite. I feel what others feel. It is not exactly painful . . . until I realize how I have let their emotions influence me. Sometimes, I do not recognize how much I let them affect me, and when I do, I regret my actions. The process is not painful though."
He was trying to be honest, but did not know how to word it. He was thinking of all those years with Maria and how she had made him into a murdering monster . . . and it was only when Peter had encouraged him to leave that he realized how far he had gone. He could not entirely blame her though . . . at lot of it was his fault for appeasing her. He had come to terms with that: he carried guilt with him, not blame for anyone but himself.

"Ohh.." Alice perked up, her smile, once again, back on her face. "That's good." There was, suddenly, nothing important to talk about anymore. They had gotton the basics out of the way, and Alice was now itching to get started on their journey to find this mysterious coven. "Are you ready?" She held out her hand once again for him to take, like she had in the diner. The day was gentle coming to an end, and the sun was beginning to sink back down from the sky. [sorry couldnt remember if they were still holding hands or not]

He gave a subtle nod and gently took her hand. He felt he had so much to tell her . . . but at the same time, wondered if she already knew everything. She said she could see visions of the future, not the past. And if he wished to remain with her . . . if he desired to build a relationship with her, he would have to be completely honest. Perhaps there was time for that . . . or perhaps Jasper was simply afraid to admit to someone new what he had done.
"Where have you come from Alice?" He asked. The small talk was also very important to him. He wished he could know every single thing about her: where she was from, what she liked . . . everything.
[Sorry if he repeated himself or anything . . . it has been a while since I have posted.]

The smile faded from Alice's face. Truth be told, Alice really didn't know where she was from. All she remembered was a dark room. And of course, her transformation. She didn't know what to tell this man. "I. I don't exactly know." she said finally. Only now did she notice she had been wondering and thinking at the same time. She had no idea where they were.
Finally spotting a firmilar tree, Alice began to head to the right. "I mean. I don't remember much."

Jasper instantly regretted asking her this question once he saw the jovial expression fade from her face. He did not wish to say anything to her that made her feel anything but happy . . . unfortunately, he was not doing a very good job right now. He walked alongside her, creating a few moments of silence after her response.
"I apologize for the question. I did not mean to intrude on your privacy." They still not know each other completely . . . though he felt closer to her than he had to anyone else. After a few more silent moments, he spoke once again. "Perhaps it is a blessing that you do not remember." While his pre-vampire memories had not completely faded from his memory, he did not like thinking about them too much. To have been who he was . . . to who he had become was a frightening transformation; one that he never thought would be possible. Once again, he wondered if his attempt at reassuring her would cause offense. He would certainly have to work on his people skills.
