It really annoyed Alice when she was blind. The wolves were clouding up her visions because they were planning on doing things in her future. It sucked. She hated feeling so helpless, so useless and powerless. The little pixie pouted about it. Her little delicate, bottom lip puffed lightly out from under the top one as she sat on a large rock on the side of the clearing. Without her visions, what did she have? What good was she? Sure, she could be a terrific damsle in distress, she might as well be for without her visions she didn't really know how to take care of herself.
With her legs pulled up on the rock with her, she wrapped her arms around them and rested her chin on her knees as she pouted. It wasn't fair that she couldn't use her visions when it involved the wolves but the others could -- well, Jasper's ability against the wolves was a good thing so it was only really Edward. Alice looked around at everyone; Carlisle and Esme were in their little corner, standing closly face-to-face with their hands intertwined as they spoke quietly to each other and they others couldn't hear, it was very cute, Alice found. She didn't get the chance to really look and see where Emmett and Rose where, let alone what each was doing for her eyes fell on Jasper next. She knew her husband was exsited about the upcoming fight, they all were, but she knew he was liking this chance to shine. He knew more about all this than all of them, especially Emmett. Well, at least sheliked to think that Jazz loved to be in the spot light this time, she wasn't too sure... Alice watched him for a while. He was stretching before the whole thing started. She watched him flex, bend and strech his muscles, not really paying attention to anything else. Yes, you could say she was checking him out. He was her husband after all, she had every right to anyways! The only reason she stopped looking at him was because Edward and Bella had arrived. When they walked into the clearing Alice's attention was still mainly of Jasper, and on her stupid blindness, which made her no better than a damsle in distress, and was Jasper her knight in shinning armour then? She was useless so he'd protect her from everything? Alice didn't like that. If she didn't have her visions during the actual fight with the new borns, was Jasper going to be protecting her? She didn't want that! He didn't need to worry about protecting her if it was the case. Alice pouted mire at the thought of that; Jazz had to fight and not worry about her, even if five newborns came at her by surprise. But her thoughts had changed the more she watched her husband warm up, which was slightly embarassing when Edward arrived.
She heard Bella ask Ed about her pouting while she watched Jasper. Edward told Bella about the blindness bothering her and Alice looked at her brother. She stuck her tounge out at him before turning her gaze on Jasper again.

Jasper was getting ready for the events of today. It was a peculiar day for many reasons. First, the time had come for Jasper to teach others the skills he had learned from Maria . . . it had once made him a monster, and now, he had to demonstrate those skills in front of others who had been helping him become less of a menace to society and the innocent public. The other reason that made this day unusual, was that not only did he have to teach his family . . . but he had to teach wolves. It was bizarre indeed, and Jasper was not sure what to make of it, other than the fact that he had to because it was what needed to be done to protect his family, and more specifically, someone that his adoptive brother cared about. Jasper knew they could not lose, that was not an option . . . but he was rather confident that they would succeed. After all, he had once made a living out of doing this, in more gruesome circumstances.
He was stretching, sort of, while he waited for the arrival of the others. He felt Alice's eyes on him, and felt her emotions, causing him to look at her and give her a shy smile. He did not want her to be put in danger by being part of this battle . . . he knew he could handle herself, but that was not the point. He never wanted her to be put in any sort of danger, and he was going to prevent that no matter what. No matter what, she was going to be there, and no matter what, he was going to make sure she was well protected. He wished he could now do something -- natural -- to wave the annoyance she was currently feeling over being blinded by the wolves. He did not like her feeling anything but happy, and though she was still her bubbly, jovial self, there was that underlying frustration that was apparent not only to Jasper, but to others who knew he well enough to recognize her expression of irritation.
He averted his gaze when he heard Bella and Edward come . . . now, they were only waiting for the wolves. Before they arrived though, Jasper wanted to check on his dear wife and so once he was done 'stretching' , he approached her. "How are you doing?" he asked, sitting on the ground next to her and taking her hand in his. Her emotions were stronger when he was near her, and now holding her hand . . . and how he wished terribly that he could do something to wave all these negative emotions from her. But he couldn't . . . nothing that he was willing to do to give her false notions of contentment.

After Alice turned back from grimacing at her brother, she saw that Jasper had noticed she was watching him. He gave her a shy grin which she couldn't help but return as she smiled to herself on the inside a bit as she continued to pout. She watched him walk over next to her. He took her hand from around her legs and pulled it over as he sat down next to her. Of course Alice let him take her hand without the slightest reluctancy.
"I've been better," Alice told him, shifting her small hand in his, slipping her finger through his. "Stupid wolves." She laughed a bit, unable to keep herself but smile a little. She knew Jasper had partially come over to have her cheer up, and it couldn't really hurt for her to try. And more importantly, it couldn't hurt him. The wolves were her problem, anyways, she had to get used to it because they were coming whether she liked it or not. Looking up from their hands, she looked him in the eyes; his eyes showed her a lot. "How about you?" She asked in return. "Exsited?" Alice guessed.

He gave a bit of a smile when she cursed the wolves. "It is rather unusual circumstances," he said, going back to his previous thoughts of how bizarre this entire situation was. "I wish I could do something to help," he said, knowing that he was helpless in this attempt to cheer her up for it was not like he could just wave his hand and all of a sudden she would have sight of the wolves, as she does with everyone else. Unfortunately, it was not that simple.
Though she looked at him, and he had locked eyes with her . . . her next question forced him to turn away, looking down at their hands. "I am not quite sure." He paused before continuing. "I preferred that things would not come to this. I had hoped that whatever skills I had previously developed in this department, would have been buried away, never to be used again." From the moment he had left Maria, he had hoped never to have to kill another newborn, and cause that pain to those who were still confused about what they were. He looked at her once again, forcing a smile. "Still, this time, it is a more worthy battle." At least he was doing something to protect someone in their family, and the destruction of vampires was not just to gain power and land.

Alice nodded as Jasper describbed the wolves as an inconviniance. They truely were. "You shouldn't worry about me, I know you will, but you shouldn't." She shook her head a bit, but her previous grin stayed glued to her lips. "I'm just a little uncomfortable without them." Them being her visions. Even then, they were all uncomfortable with the wolves around, so it would go slightly unnoticed. She gave his hand a gentle squeeze to reasure him. She knew she was acting childishly by sitting there and pouting about it.
Alice frowned. She didn't like the way his eyes suddenly averted themselves from hers. She listened as he explained the problem and she understood what he ment. Her tiny thumb stroaked his hand delicately in a soothing way. "You're doing this for good reasons now, Hun. And we might not need to destroy them all, their has to be a few that are rationable enough to run or stop fighting to save themselves. Plus Carlisle wouldn't want to get rid of anyone of them that give up." Alice mused, trying her best to reasure him. At his next words she grinned and she smiled as he looked back at her. "Exactly." She agreed. Not all fights had to be for bad things. "You should have fun with this tonight," She encouraged, "maybe you can fight Emmett a bit, show him he can't beat you at your own game?" She knew that she'd feel better if Jasper was having fun.

That was easier said than done. He was worried about her right now, and would continue to be more than usual until the battle was over. "I can not even begin to imagine, but we will not let anything happen, even though their actions now are unpredictable to us." He knew that her visions were both a burden and something that everyone would use to their advantage. One may assume that it would allow Alice relax a little more but it had the opposite effect. It made her more stressed not knowing what they were going to do. "Majority of us are uncomfortable with this situation." But they had no choice. "We will just have to wait and see how things work out, like normal people," he said smiling, his attempt to lighten her mood a little, as she was returning the favor.
It was very reassuring indeed to hear her comments about how the cause was good, and that Carlisle would not allow it to go too far. Mercy. That would be a significant different between this, and what he had done before. Maria would never be merciful; she was ruthless. "You're right," he said with a bit of a nod. He would just have to accept that this was nothing like it was before; that their intentions were massively different as would be the outcome of it all. He gave a small smile when she encouraged him to have fun with it. "The thought of beating Emmett is certainly a tempting and entertaining image," he said, knowing that he would in fact enjoy it. "My goal is to demonstrate that in order to defeat a new born, you can not rely on your strength. It is not about strength in this case, it is about strategy, and Emmett would in fact be a perfect example of that. Perhaps he will be my first demonstration victim," he said continuing to smile.

When he smiled, Alice's grin grew into a genuine smile. She laughed lightly at his comment about being like normal people. Alice had never been normal, not even as a human. When she and Jasper had found out she had been placed in an assylum when she was but a little girl, it was abovious it was because she had visions as a human too. Normal wasn't something Alice knew. "I don't know how to be normal." It was the simple truth. Quite frankly, normal sounded scarry to her. She was very dependant of her visions and had only come to realize this when they stopped working because of the wolves. She didn't understand how that worked and she wished she could find a way around it.
Alice felt better when Jasper agreed with her on this. Destroying there newborns was not going to be like the times he had done it with that horrible cold-hearted witch, Maria. No, he had an actual, good-hearted reason for this. Family. It was what was important. Family loves you unconditionally and is always there. Bella was going to be one of them, Alice knew it and saw it. Smiling down at Jasper still, she knew that he felt that Bella was more and more like family as the days went by. Yes, the blood issue was still present, but still. As she listened to him talk about how he would love to beat Emmett, her eyes went out of focus. A vision? She was shocked when she saw the scene of Jasper at Emmett's throat, the background entirely blank. She could still see?! Alice looked back at her husband with focused eyes and radiated with glee. "Emmett doesn't stand a chance." She said proudly. Maybe this ment she could see during the big battle! It exsited her.
Calming down a little bit, she payed attention to Jasper's plan for the evening. It didn't sound too complex. It sounded pretty fun, actually, even though this was supposed to be a time for seriousness.
