He believes he brought compassion from his human life. He forgives and forgets quickly and honestly is a caring person. There is no pretense and no false feelings around him. He is honestly one of these types of ‘people’ who care more for the lives of others then he doses his own. His family will always come first, but he will go out of his way to help anyone he can.

.:History:. Carlisle Cullen was the son of an Anglican pastor, born in 1640s London, England, during a time of religious upheaval. His father and other pastors would hunt down creatures such as witches, werewolves, and vampires, often mistaking humans for them, and not stopping to learn the truth.
As his father got older, Carlisle was put in charge. Carlisle would take the time to learn the truth, caring wither he was willing a monster or a honest person. One night, while on the hunt for a real vampire, he was attacked by him and left to die on the streets.
Knowing he would not be accepted by society, he hid himself and silently went through the painful transformation, emerging as a vampire. Horrified, he tried various methods of killing himself, but nothing worked due to his new body’s strength. One night, he could endure hunger no longer and fed on a group of passing deer. Subsequently realizing that he did not have to live off humans, he set out to perfect his resistance to blood lust and become a doctor.
For a short time in 1720, Carlisle lived with the Volturi in Italy, though he eventually left and traveled to the New World. Loneliness was horrible. He missed a family and the people he could openly enter act with. In the year 1911, Carlisle would meet an eleven year old girl with a broken leg. Her name was Esme. However, with in the month, he would move from her town of Columbus, Ohio to Chicago, Ill.
There in 1918, he would meet Edward, who was dieing. Carlisle would take what he would see as a huge risk and the first step to his family. He changed the dieing boy, into a vampire. In efforts to hide what he did, they moved to Ashland, Wisconsin. In 1921 Carlisle again tended to Esme. This time her injuries were from a failed suicide attempt, after she had lost her baby. Remembering her from before, and feeling saddened by the turn her life had taken, Carlisle changed Esme to save her. The two fell in love and were legally married. (Just the one time). In 1933 and 1935 Rosalie and Emmett would join his family and then in a mind boggling event in 1950 Alice and Jasper would show up at there door and join the family as well. Carlisle is very happy in his family, and could want nothing more. He loves them dearly.
