Edward is muscular and slender but not bulky. He also has pale white skin, with dark purple bags under his eyes when hungry. His eyes originally was deep green but on being changed into a vampire they turned into a liquid topaz color but could also go deeper into an almost black when he has not fed in a long while.

He stays with his family and if an outsider tries to get close to him he generally pushes them away.But when he does eventually let someone in ( Bella ) he protects them with his life. Edward sacrifices his own happiness for Bella. But on occasion can be extremely possessive and controlling, though when he realizes this he stops. He is an all over romantic.

.:History:.Edward has no proper memories of what life was like before he was turned.
Edward was turned by Carlisle Cullen after contracting the disease 'Spanish influenza'. Edwards mother had begged Carlisle to save her son before she died. Carlisle turned Edward when he was seconds from death. Carlisle then installed in Edward a sense of morality or humanity. He taught him that it was wrong to drink humans and therefore changed Edward into a ' vegetarian vampire'. He refuses to consider humans as a source of nourishment.
Up until moving back to forks, the Cullen family did nothing more than try to survive, while their family slowly grew. On their first visit to forks, the Cullen's ran into a pack of local native american wolves. Here they made a deal that neither side would move on each others land.
When the Cullen's move back to Forks, Edward meets a new girl in town called Bella Swan who is human. Edward is draw to her by the alluring scent of her blood. He fights an internal battle with himself not to kill her but also fights a growing attraction. Eventually he succumbs and falls in love with her.
Edward tells Bella everything about himself and lets her into his life fully but still retains strong fears for her safety. Bella is later in danger, like Edward feared, from a nomad vampire called James. Together with the family's help, Edward saves Bella.
Edward's fears for Bella's safety intensify when she cuts her finger and is almost attacked by his brother Jasper. In an attempt to protect her, he convinces her that he no longer loves her, and moves away with his family, leaving Bella heartbroken. Edward finds it difficult to live without Bella, and becomes severely depressed at the prospect of an infinitely long and meaningless life.After he mistakenly learns from his sister Rosalie that Bella has committed suicide, Edward attempts to convince a group of Italian vampires, the Volturi, to kill him. But he himself is saved by Bella.Edward explains why he left, and apologizes to Bella. She eventually forgives him entirely, and they continue with their relationship as though Edward had never left, with the exception that Bella has ties that cannot be broken with a werewolf named Jacob Black. Who Edward is secretly jealous of.
Eventually Edward deals with the problem of James mate, Victoria. He promises Bella that she is now safe. Bella begs Edward to be turned so they can be together forever, so Edwards creates a condition. If she agrees to marry him, he will turn her when she is ready.
Later, they get married and Bella becomes pregnant. She nearly dies giving birth to her baby girl ' Renesmee' but Edward turns her.
