Aro has translucent skin it's described as onion skin. He has long jet black hair that seems to flow as he moves. His eyes are a milky crimson that change to black when thirsty. His eyes remain this color because of how old he is over three thousand years. As a younger vampire his eyes and the normal ruby red and his skin not as translucent. Aro wears dark colored outfits and has a black robe that he often wears. His robe stands out from the rest of the Volturi guards they have gray. The other leaders Caius and Marcus have a black robe just as Aro does.

.:Basic Personality:.

Aro above everything else Aro is power-hunger. There is nothing he will not do for more power. He would even give up his wife for power. He is always looking for new talents and ways to gain power. There is rarely a moment that goes by that Aro is not focused on power. There are times when he is not focused on power, but those are rare. Aro has a very calm appearance. He can seem friendly one moment and very calm the next. He rarely allows his true emotions to be known. Even if he appears friendly or calm he may very well be planning against the very person he is talking to. He loves to meet knew vampires always wanting others to know exactly who he is and his position. He loves his position and the power he holds and does not at all mind anyone knowing this. As the leader of the Volturi he makes sure the Volturi at least appear justified in their acts. Even if they are not as justified as they claim Aro still makes sure they at the very least appear as such. He will lie to someone's face just to get what he wants and his word is rarely doubted. He is very determined and if there is something he wants he will find any means to get just that. There is very little he can not actually get.

Aro never admits failure even if he acknowledge it is rare of him to say he has failed verbally. He is usually very calm when he knows he has failed and will find a way to reverse such failure no matter how small. He simply will not accept defeat he is very persistent and can be quiet stubborn at times. He does not change his mind often though it is possible. If Aro is given enough evidence to support any idea that he is opposed of he may very well change his mind. Though it would completely rely on the situation and how willing he is to reconsider soemthing. If it was someone breaking the rules he will not give it a second thought. Though soemthing less may make Aro more willing to change his mind though this could prove to be difficult as well. Aro can appear to be a very enthusiastic person and he truly is. He can become very excited over matters that may be small. Certainly meeting new vampires and the chance to gain a new talent. He is always happy to have a new edition to the guard. Usually anything to do with power will put him in a good mood. Though there is many things outside of power that can do just that. Aro is also collector his favorite collection that of his guard. Though he is known to collect valuable pieces of art and jewels all of which he loves to have.

There is a gentle side to Aro, though only his wife sees this side. He loves his wife very deeply and would be almost willing to do anything for her. While he can be very demanding of others his wife is often the exception to this. Even though Aro is willing to give up his wife for power this does not mean he does not love his wife. For does very deeply as well he simply craves power more than anything else. He does not want to ever have to choose between his wife and power and is a very selfish person in wanting both. This is something his wife knows as well. Mates are something that change a vampire forever and while Aro would give up Sulpicia nothing can change the fact he loves his wife very deeply. He is more tender and gentle toward her than anyone else for obvious reasons. He enjoys trying to please her and make her happy. While most of the time his thoughts are focused on power when with his wife this train of thought can change. Though he can still be focused on power even with his wife there is more of a chance he will not focus on such. However, power is a major part of his life and there is little that can change how much attention he gives power.

Aro lived during ancient times nearly three thousand years. Times were much different back then. He only had one sibling Didyme. Who was younger than he was. Aro saw fit to take after his father's trade as most during his time did. They did not have any technology or easy access means. Even as a human Aro was always very curious and was determined to find out all he could about everything. He was most curious about others and was very intuitive about others. He usually got what he wanted and was always wanting more than he currently had. Even as a human he was very power-hungry always striving to be better than others. He strived to be prefect to be known by all. Even though Aro wanted more he knew his place and tried to settle for what he could have. Though it was never really enough. When Aro was a young adult he did marry a young girl named Liviana. The marriage was arranged as most were during his time. He did care for his wife he truly had no other choice in the matter. He could have chosen to dislike her but that would have made life on both of them difficult. He settled for what he had been given and left it at that. Many years later Aro happen to be out alone when he was attacked by a blood drinker. Aro had heard stories of such but had never come face to face with one. He was left quickly by the vampire leaving him alive and in effect was changed. His transformation was his most powerful memory as a human. He could still remember parts of his human life but not enough to care to much.


A couple years after Aro's transformation he came across two other vampires, Marcus and Caius, they had plans to gain power. This of course quickly caught Aro's interest. He wanted nothing more than to be on top to be the leaders of the vampire world. Nothing would please him more than to have all the power he wanted. He had always craved power even as a human this much he could remember. A decade had passed since he become immortal Aro was most interested in finding talents such as his own and as Marcus's. Aro remembered briefly his younger sister. Thinking she would be of use and have a talent that would be very useful just as his own he returned to where he had lived as a human. He quickly found Didyme and brought her back to Volterra where he changed her. The need to stop feeding was difficult, but Aro was able to control his thirst long enough to allow the change to overcome his sister. Not long after his sister was changed Marcus and Didyme fell in love. This was not something Aro exactly liked or approved of but as long as they would help him gain power he did not worry about such. Aro began to search for talents that would be of use to the Volturi. He only accepted the best and anything less would not be tolerated.

Aro had spoken to the Romanians during the years that followed. He learned as much as he could about them. With his talent he could know everything with one touch. This allowed Aro to know everything without even uttering a single world. Of course he was very polite to the Romanians even having the chance to greet the leaders. They never knew secretly he was planning to take their power. With each day that went by he was coming closer and closer to gaining what he wanted. Their power. He was certain it would be his within a matter of time. Aro traveled around Europe gaining talents he wanted during one of his trips back to Volterra they stopped near a town within Italy to feed. It was during one of these hunts that Aro laid eyes on a young girl. He had found her alone within her own room. She reminded him of his wife he had when she was human. Though such memories were almost completely faded. He could barely make out any of human life. He could only remember vaguely what his human life had been like. He knew he had a family been married, but beyond that he could not say. His parents forgotten and he only remembered his sister because he had changed her. He had read her thoughts and knew more of his human life through that but beyond that it was empty. However, Aro knew he wanted this young lady he could not harm her or kill her. There was simply something about this mortal that made him want her like no other. Some time later once they returned to Volterra Aro changed Sulpicia. After she was able to gain control as a newborn Aro married Sulpicia.

It only took one try to overthrow the Romanians. Aro had many talents within the guard he had formed and were successive in their attempt. Aro, Marcus, and Caius became the new leaders of the vampire world. They quickly began to enforce their rules. Any who would not follow were destroyed without any second thoughts. They saw no need to give second chances when it could prove to only cause more problems later. There were a few situations which caused problems for the Volturi and were quickly dealt with. At one point Aro's sister, Didyme, and Marcus were planning on leaving the Volturi. Aro had acted to give his blessing when in reality he was planning on getting rid of his sister. The only other person who knows of how his sister really died is Sulpicia, his mate, beyond this no one knows the truth and believe the lie Aro had given. The Immortal Children were certainly something they had to consider. They were toddlers some no older than two or three. They were completely out of control. They would destroy entire villages Aro had even at a later date tried to train these children. He was unsuccessful. Therefore they were forbidden and any caught with one was destroyed along with any associated with them. The Southern Wars was also another issue that had caught the Volturi's attention. Vampires would make armies of nothing but newborns they were completely out of control and were catching the attention of the humans. Like with the Immortal Children they were forbidden any who was caught with one was destroyed. They did a massive clean up in the Southern United States to dispose of any that would cause awareness among the humans.

Sometime during the sixteen hundreds Carlisle Cullen came across the Volturi. Aro invited him to stay with them for some time. He found the young vampire of great interest and his need to feed off animal blood instead of humans interested him greatly. He had tired to change Carlisle's lifestyle to return to his natural food source. He was unsuccessful but nonetheless Carlisle was still very important and wonderful company. After about a decade Carlisle left the Volturi Aro assumed he would weaken in time and eventually give in to human blood. Many years later a few hundred Aro met Aro's presumed son Edward Cullen. He requested death and this was a very unusual request. Aro had read his thoughts and was envious of his talent to be able to hear from a distances. Aro denied Edward of his request and instead offered him a place among the Volturi, he refused. He also knew of Alice and her talent something he wanted very much. Aro had the chance to meet young Alice and Bella as they prevented Edward from revealing their existence which in effect would have had him destroyed. Aro was most interested in what talent Bella would have if changed. They were given the chance to change Bella or she would be destroyed. They would not forget this promise. There was apparently a newborn army within Seattle. Aro had waited longer than usual before he sent Jane a couple more guards to dispose of the problem. He found out Bella had not been changed, but not much time had really passed since their last meeting. His final encounter with the Cullen's had been when they had a suppose Immortal Child. This gave Aro the perfect chance to take what he wanted and to destroy the others. Such events did not happen as he wanted they were forced to return to Volterra. Though Aro would still have the talents he craved there was very little he did not get and he would get Alice, Edward, and Bella within his guard. Young Renesmee also seemed to bring much interest as did the shape-shifters
