It was no secret that Alice loved shopping. Someone would have to be blind, and death, not to know that much about her. She usually went with Rosalie and occasionally Esme would tag along. She would also try to get Bella to come along, luckly her daughter was more willing to come along. Alice also liked to travel, perfect for the kind of shopping she liked. Of course, there was nothing she loved more than Jasper, and it made her really happy when he would tag along with her. This was exactly -- or basically -- what was going on now.
With no need to go to school anymore they had a lot more time on their hands -- on top of having an eternity. Alice got Jasper to come along with her to France, in Paris, of course. Jasper wasn't hard to convince -- he couldn't really tell her no, now could he? -- and she wasn't going to make him shop with her the whole time they were there because of it, she'd hold back a little on the shopping -- little being the key word. Alice considered making it easier by just using her visions to see what would fit and what wouldn't instead of trying on everything, making him try on everything, but that took some fun out of it.
They had been in Paris for about four hours, so far and had already been through three stores, and bought a 'few' things. Alice was thinking up where to go to next as they walked the sidewalks. It was cloudy, a perfect forecast that would go on for the rest of their stay, she had seen, making being out during the day easy.

Jasper was currently holding on to a few of what he knew would be many shopping bags. He did not mind though; not in the slightest bit. He would never complain about any opportunity to spend time with Alice. She had wanted to travel overseas to do some shopping, and where better than France itself. The weather was perfect, the company was perfect . . . . had there not been humans in the vicinity, then he would have felt absolutely at ease. But this temptation was not something that was going to go away soon, no matter how much he wanted it to. Never the less, he would not let it spoil the mood for he knew that Alice was excited and enjoying herself, and her jovial mood was enough to put him in a good one.
He walked alongside her as they made their way up the sidewalks. "Where would you like to go next, love?" He asked her, willing to follow her just about anywhere. Even something like shopping he did not find tedious for he was with his wife. Though he was not much of a shopper, he would support her wife in her favorite hobbies.

Alice looked up at Jasper with a grin and took a hold of his hand. He was so great to her, he was keeping his composure around so many humans... she knew it was hard for him sometimes. "Just about everywhere," she giggled lightly and looked at the next store ahead. "Though, we should go here first. Rose wants a few things for Emmett from this store." She added and headed to the store.
It was definately the perfect place to get clothes for Em and since he wasn't with them, it made it a lot faster. In this case, it was a good thing because it was usually Rosalie's 'job' to get Emmett some stuff and it was a little odd having to do it. But it was quick. Sooner than usual, they were back outside, and of course, right back into an other store. Alice pretended to browse through the racks, and grinned at a thought. "How mad do you think Edward would be if I got Nessie anything from here?" She asked Jasper, joking lightly. The store was filled with clothes Edward would not aprove for his daughter. There was nothing bad about the articles of clothing, Ed just liked his girl to be more 'covered' if you will. (:S bad)

Jasper continued to venture into each store, briefly or not. He would merely follow Alice, not quite having any desire to browse through on his own. He did have to do some Christmas shopping, but he had a general idea on what to get most people . . . except for one, and perhaps Alice would aid him with that. He smiled when she asked how angry Edward would be. "I am quite certain he expects you to spoil your niece. Besides, if he grows angry then I can temporarily ease his troubled mind so that nothing will prevent dear Renesmee from enjoying her gifts." Jasper was joking . . . sort of. If Alice wanted him to do so, he would. Though he rarely used his gift on his family.
"How do you see him reacting?" He wondered, curious about his mood and since his Alice could see the future, it never hurt to get a warning. Speaking of which . . . . . "I was hoping to do some shopping as well. But I will of course need your assistance with that. Especially with Leah's gift. " He may spend more time with Leah than Alice did, but Alice would know whether Leah would like his gift or not, and she seemed to be more of a picky person than most others. Apart from Rosalie of course, but Jasper had given up on her long ago. Will all the weddings and parties she had, it was nearly impossible to get her something unique and thoughtful every single time.

Alice looked through the racks without really seeing any of the clothes. Though, some things she passed she wondered what Edward would think if she bought them for Renesmee. Men. They wouldn't aprove of something on their daughter, no matter how innocent it could be, but they would on their mate. Typical. But the thought of this made her grin to herself. Her butterscotch eyes looked up at Jasper as he spoke. Alice smirked lightly as the thought became more tempting, and she gave him a wink before pretending to look for a short on the rack. Jasper wouldn't mess around with Edward's emotions... unless he really thought in necessary or, perhaps, if Alice asked him to.
Alice stared forward at the air before her, making the subconsious decision to buy Renesmee one of the shirts Ed would be against in order to see what Edward would do. A toothy grin spread across her face as she watched the reactions unfold in her mind. Her silver bell laugh rung shortly after the vision ended and Alice looked back at her husband. "Nessie will love it, of course. Edward will most definately be mad; practically livid," She announced to him in a quick low whisper as tourists walked by. "Bella will hardly care. She can't argue with me anyways because she knows she can not win." Alice giggled again. "Oh, Jasper! You would love to see his face!" It reminded her of the vote they had way back on wether or not Bella should become on of them. Edward's face was practically the same. Alice took a shirt off the rank and folded it over her arm. "I'm going to get it just for that." It was going to be priceless. Edward would get over it, eventually, plus Nessie couldn't wear it more than once.
The little vampire skipped gracefully to an other rack that has folded clothing on top of it when Jasper spoke again. It was very weird to hear him say that he wanted to do some shopping of his own, though not something new, it was rare. Alice took a few things quickly from the shelves and racks, putting them over her arm before replying. "I would love to help you, hunny!" Alice was exsited. She gave him a smile when he mentioned he would definately need help with a certain person. "You are very sweet to be getting her something, Jasper." She was completely sincere about it. Leah and Jasper's relationship never bothered Alice -- besides the not being able to see Jasper's future, that was enerving at times and always annoying, she was so used to seeing his future. It was good that he was getting her something. She walked over to the cash register and gave the French women the many things she was buying before turning back to Jasper. "Any thoughts on what you might want to get her?" This was not going to as easy to figure out as if he wanted to get Rose or Esme something, Alice couldn't see Leah.

Jasper watched her carefully as she received one of her visions. He much preferred her to have these kind, for they did not cause her any form of distress or concern. It was more light, more entertaining to her and seeing the amused smile that formed on her lips made it impossible for Jasper not to smile back. "You are very difficult to disagree with. Edward could not possibly stay angry with you. I am quite certain no one would be able to do that." Alice was far too angelic for anyone to be angry with . . . Jasper could not even think of a time where he was genuinely angry with her. Concerned, always. But furious at her? Never. "And as long as Nessie will like it, then it serves its purpose as a gift." It was clear that everyone in the family was protective over little Nessie, but Jasper was not as protective over this sort of thing, after all, he would not go against Alice wanted to spoil her. "Allow me," he said, already taking the shirt from Alice and holding it in his hand as he followed her to the next rack.
His mind was filled with potential gifts, but there was one in particular that had stood out to him. He put the article of clothing he had held for Alice and gave it to the cashier. "I was thinking about getting her a motorcycle. I know she enjoys riding them, and she needs a form of transportation." When she was human that is, but Jasper did not have to add that small detail in public. He passed the cashier a credit card. "I was also considering purchasing the necessary attire that goes along with a motorcycle. She maintains latest trends, and since you are an expert, I thought perhaps you could aid me in finding something." Once the clothes were paid for, he took the bags to add to their growing collection and exited the store. He would have asked if the gift was too extravagant but he was pretty sure that when it came to extravagance . . . they really had no limits.

Jasper would probably never let Alice hold her own things. He was being a gentlemen, as usual, which was fine by her. But still... She didn't say anything when he did things like that, she couldn't win that fight and she didn't want that fight -- it probably wouldn't be an 'angry' fight, but still. "A motorcycle?" Alice blinked. Never would she have thought of that, but then again, she didn't know Leah like Jasper did. "That's a great idea," She mused his idea. Alice went to take out her credit card but Jasper beat her to the punch, handing the cashier one. She shook her head a tad bit with a grin. And he took the bags, which she expected. She loved him, that's why she wasn't going to oppose him.
"No problem." Alice beamed at the thought of more shopping. But there was one problem: Alice didn't know what the wolfgirl's sizes were and she couldn't rely on her preminisions to see if things would fit. It would be the time to play the guessing game, then.

Jasper wondered if it was a good idea, but it was the one thing that perhaps Leah needed; a form of transportation for when she was human. "I am glad you agree Alice." He was rather reassured by his suggestion when Alice also seemed to think it was a good idea. "I will purchase the appropriate attire when we come across it. For whom did you want to shop for next? I was thinking perhaps a diamond bracelet for Rosalie." His sister was difficult to shop for though as long as the gift was flashy and extravagant, then she would be content.

Alice smiled widely and looked up at him. Why would she disagree? What reasons would she have to do so? Alice liked to see Jasper happy, she found it also helped him forget about his stuggles -- she hoped it did.
"I think Rose will love it." She didn't need to look at future to know that was right up Rosalie's alley. Alice thought for a moment. She could shop for hours, of course, buying things non-stop... "A few places... Did you want to stop?" She asked him. Jazz was always so great, he deserved a break if he wanted it.

"I am sure she would love anything extravagant and evidently expensive." It was difficult to buy something for someone who had everything, or could get anything they wanted. And yet, Rosalie still expected presents every holiday, every occasion, and every wedding. "I do not envy the position Emmett is constantly put in," he said with a slight chuckle as he thought of his brother constantly having to find unique gifts for her, since she most probably had the highest expectations from her husband. "Not at all. I am quite alright with proceeding forward." He knew Alice wanted to shop, and not waste any time here . . . and Jasper was completely fine with that. In fact, he had expected it when he came here with her.

"Emmett most certainly is a genius in that department." Alice agreed. Rosalie was very hard to please with gifts. With so many different occations, she already had everything in the world. If she didn't, the Cullens would certainly could aford what ever else she requiered. Emmett had it hardest of all out of all the Cullen men. Carlisle was maybe the one with the easiest time figuring out what to get Esme, she loved the simple things as much as the extravegant. And Edward, well Bella needed quite a few things to fit in more properly in the family. Then there was Jasper. The way Alice saw it, it wasn't so hard for him. She loved anything he would give to her, really. He just could surprise her -- perhaps he could now with the help of wolves and/or Renesmee. Yes, Emmett had it terribly hard. But he always managed.
She half frowned for a second when Jasper refused her offer to stop. He was doing this for her, she wanted him to have time to do whatever he wanted to do as well. They were going to stay in Paris for a week or two, depending. Alice shrugged her petite shoulders. "Alright," of course, she was happy to keep shopping. They walked into an other four or five stores, spending quite a bit of time in each. Then they got close enough to a store Alice knew was just what Jasper was looking for. "You can get practically all the things you need for Leah in here." Alice announced as they walked in.

Jasper smiled. "A genius? I am not quite sure I would use that word to describe his gift ideas," Jasper said, teasing his brother. They would often do so, but of course . . . never offending their wives in any way. There were certain things that would only upset them, rather than be in good humor. "He is becoming more and more desperate every gift giving occasion," Jasper added jokingly. Jasper looked around at the store. It sold jackets, gloves, even helmets. Perfect! "Wonderful," he said, making his way towards the purple jackets -- as he knew that was his wolf friends favorite color and he was going to try to coordinate as much as possible. He skimmed through the rack, looking for her size. Jasper would be lost without Alice . . . and shopping was one of those many, many things he could not do without her.

Alice smiled and gave a shrugg as she giggled. "Well, perhaps I was wrong about the genious part," She joked. She nodded as he commented on Emmett's fadding creativity for gifts. Still, he somehow outdid himself... acording to Rosalie -- Alice sometimes had to hear about it a few times.
Alice skipped along behind Jasper as he went to browse the items in the store. She went around him and took to bags from his hand. It was a big change to see Jazz shopping, but it was a good thing.

Jasper was picking up various coats, trying to pick the one that he could picture Leah best in. After accompanying his dear Alice on numerous shopping trips, he certainly had learned how to shop for things. After feeling content with one coat, a purple leather one, he held it up for Alice to look at, as he greatly valued her opinion. "What you think about this particular jacket?" Was it something that Leah would like? Had Jasper not been able to read Leah's true emotions, then he would have lacked any confidence to buy her anything . . . but it unfolds the same way: if Leah claimed she hated it, chances were, she loved it. It was all about looking beneath the surface when it came to Leah Clearwater, and that was an integral part of Jasper and her friendship.
"You have far better taste than I do, and so I wonder if this is perhaps something you can picture Leah wearing." It was not the most extravagant part of the gift, but he wanted it to all fit nicely together so that when she received it as a whole, it would be flawless. . . or perhaps suitable was a better word.

Jasper held up a purple jacket and asked for her opinion. Alice tilted her head a little to the side and looked over the leather coat. Of course, Alice had no idea if it would actually fit Leah and she couldn't see any reaction in the future... Her head tilted back up. "It's very nice," She looked up at him with a smile. It was great quality, obviously, the coat itself was very stylish. It was just the kind of thing Leah needed, some style. Poor girl didn't take the time to take care of her appearence, it seemed.
Alice smiled a little wider. "Oh, come now, Jasper. You have great taste! I think she'd like it." At least she hoped. Leah better like the coat. Nothin more rude than that. But Alice hardly knew the female wolf, the most she knew about her was her scent -- that scent stuck to Jasper for a while. "And if she doesn't like it..." Alice smirked. "You can always make her..." She knew he wouldn't, but she was just joking.

Jasper felt relieved when she agreed upon the jacket. It provided him with great reassurance because while Leah and Alice may not have the same taste . . . it was nearly impossible to admit that Alice did not have good selection in clothing and style. "Thank you, what would I do without you," said with small smile as he rested the coat over his arm and put his other arm around Alice.
"The only reason I have remotely good taste is because of my dear wife who has managed to keep me up to date with modern trends." He lightly laughed as she provided an alternate way to be certain that she likes the coat. "Quite true. Perhaps providing her with a false sense of liking is the easiest way to shop for he." He too was encouraging the joke, but it was still an amusing thought to entertain.

Alice gave a slight shrug with an innocent smile. What he would do without her... that she something she thought about at times. Had she not been there at the dinner that day, what would he have done? If she wasn't around half the time, what would he do when humans got too tempting? Alice didn't want to know the answers to those questions, preferably not the later. And besides, no sense in worrying about what could have been, especially not while they were on vacation -- and shopping.
She couldn't help but smile at the sight of him smiling, it always made her smile. Alice shifted the many bags into one of her hands as Jasper wrapped his arm around her. "I can't disagree with that," She giggled along with him. She smirked as Jasper went along with her joke. "Exactly. I don't believe she will mind." Alice added with a little laugh. Putting her free arm around him, she looked up at him. "What's next?" Though Alice knew about style, she knew very little about what one actually, fully requiered for a bike.
( Thanks! ;D )

He continued to smile, realizing that he had lacked his skills in politeness for he was allowing Alice to burden herself with carrying the bags. He slowly took them from her with one hand, while keeping the other wrapped around her. "Wherever you would like to go. We made one stop for me; who is next on your shopping list?" All Jasper needed was some gloves, and the actual bike which he could get shortly before they left since it was not the most practical thing to carry around with them during their shopping. "I do not have many places left that I need to go to, so let us finish your list first."

She lightly shook her head and smiled a little as he took the bags back from her. Alice didn't fight him, she let him take them well aware she was well aware she couldn't win. He was just raised like that; a perfect gentleman.
Alice laughed lightheartedly for a few seconds. "You know how much time I can spend shopping, Hun. Why don't we just finish of your shopping first?" She suggested.

"Ladies first," he said smiling, as he was not going to change his mind. They seldom argued about serious matters . . . in this case, it was more of a playful conversation. "Come now, we must be fair. I am in no rush, unless you are." He could not say that he was not enjoying this time he had with Alice. Despite the fact that there were humans around -- which was inevitable in every situation -- it felt nice to have some alone time with her outside of Forks. He was in no rush to return there . . . his home and comfort was wherever she was.

"How about we pay for this," She patted the plum jacket. "Then bring these bags to the hotel and go out of town for something to drink and relax a bit?" In other words, go hunting. The relaxing was more due to the fact that there wouldn't be humans around and that they could just wonder around for a while, if they wanted. Alice was sure Jasper would like to get away from the humans -- and shopping -- for a while and it wouldn't hurt for them to hunt a little bit. Even she needed a break from the sweet scents around her. They had yet to go hunting since they arrived in Paris. "What do you think about that? Like that idea or do you have one?" Alice's curiousity lightly triggered, perhaps he had an other idea, and knowing Jasper it would be good if he did. Alice found it was about time she gave her husband a break from shopping, they had a whole week, and more if they wanted.

Alice knew him so well. "That sounds absolutely perfect." He had not complained about the humans around -- he was getting used to it, but that did not necessarily mean they were getting easier to resist -- and so had tried to focus on enjoying the time here with Alice. She made it all too easy as she knew when he reached his limit, even if he never vocalized it. He quickly went to pay for the jacket and added the new back to their growing collection. "You always have the best suggestions . . . how could I possibly disagree with any of them?" He said smiling. He couldn't. He never really would either. "Are you in any hurry to return home?" He knew they would obviously have to be back before Christmas but this was part of the beauty of shopping early . . . there was no pressure, no hassle of any sort.

Alice wore a big smile when Jasper said he liked her idea. Now they could do something he would truely enjoy. Jasper wasn't one to complain, but she knew when her husband had enough so hunting was perfect, and it would also be to her benifit. Yes, Jazz did have the hardest time with human blood, but out of everyone else, Alice had the hardest time after him. Though she was a little far from him, after so much she needed to get away from. She knew her limits. And she knew her husband's. Jasper went to pay for the coat and Alice went to wait for him by the door. When he came back, she smiled again, and took his free hand in both of hers. Giving an innocent shrug as they walked outside, she replied: "You can always think of something better," Unless her idea was too good, the thought made her giggle a bit bit it didn't seem out of place.
Taking the hand she was holding on to and pulling it around on her other side so the she was stillhold his hand but his. Arm was around behind her, she looked up at him. "Absolutely not. I could stay here for a long time." She was happy in a beautiful city like Paris with her loving husband. She could stay there forever, but she would miss the others. "Are you?" She asked him. If he was rushed they could go back earlier.

"Never underestimate yourself my love," he told her. He held her on the highest pedestal possible, and in his mind, Alice could do no wrong; this included making bad suggestions. Alice was the epitome of perfection. That was all Jasper knew and could be completely certain of in the world. He smiled, softly chuckling at her willingness to stay here. "If you ever get sick of Paris, there is the whole rest of the world we could explore." He wanted her to constantly be happy, and if that meant traveling to the other side of the world, then he would do it in a blink of an eye. "Not at all. I suppose we will have to be back before Christmas, but that still gives us an ample amount of time and opportunity to stay here," he said, still smiling.

Alice smiled shyly, what she had ment was that she was sure that he could come up an idea that would outdo hers. If not now than some other time. But she settled with the fact that Jasper absolutely loved her idea and that suited her just fine. "I'm fine, I think I like it here too much." Alice replied not really speaking about Paris anymore. She was very content with the way she held his arm around her. But she loved Paris! And not just for it's shopping. It was a beautiful place to be. "Yes, Esme would be upset if we weren't back for the holidays." Her little head nodded in agreement.
It hardly took them any time to get back to their hotel room. It now had a purpose: a shopping bag storage room. When they had put all the bags away, they headed off to the outskirts of town to find some refreshements.
