Sulpicia ran her fingers through her golden hair; her crimson eyes scanning over the text before her. She had read it once before, and therefore it was boring her an almost dramatic amount. With a perfect memory she had no need to really read it over again, seeing as she knew most every detail about the book, but boredom had overcame her in the past few hours. She had completed another one of her drawings earlier that evening and had hidden it away when Athendora left. No one had seen all of her drawings except Aro, but only from her thoughts as far she knew.
Sighing softly to herself, Sulpicia set down the book back in it's appropriate place upon the bookshelf. Her fingers ran gently over the covers of her books, some copies much older and delicate looking than others. She was glad that she knew her own strength, as most of the copies would have been demolished if she had not. Her pale finger twirled in an endless manner around a strand of hair; her teeth biting down slightly on her lip as she looked over them. It was more of her thinking pose than anything else.
The blonde paused a moment to listen to her surroundings. Sulpicia could hear humans (a small ammount, though) scuttering around. She could hear few animals moving in the alleyways, and focused more on inside the castle. She could hear a few soft conversations going on, and movement of some people takling. She could hear the footsteps, and heard a paticularly close pair of footsteps nearby. A smile slid across her face as Sulpicia breathed in to figure out who exactly was coming up to the towers, especially when she recognized the scent. She turned around slowly at a human pace to wait for them.

Aro had been in the main chamber for most of the day with his brothers. There was always some way to gain more power. There had been a vampire who had broken the rules and of course he had to be destroyed. Aro had sent a few of the guards to take care of the vampire. They could not allow anyone to reveal their existence. It was the most important rule they had and enforced. There was much more to discuss as how to gain more power. They had been in power for quiet some time and it still was not enough for Aro. He would always want more power he would never be satisfied. Talents were a sure way to appear more powerful to gain more power. It was what he often did. Sometimes he sent guard members to search for such talents. Eleazar was a very useful guard member who could detect talents of other vampires just by being near them. On occasion, however, Aro would go personally to seek talents. This was not often, but he did happen on occasion.
Aro had spent several hours discussing with his brothers. They had all dismissed to do what they wanted. They would no doubt be discussing about power again, but it may be a few hours between now and then. Aro was certain the vampires he had sent would do their job dutifully he would probably be sending a few more to search for valuable talents. Those that would be of use to the Volturi. Aro loved gaining new talents it was always wonderful to add more to their little collection. Aro could simply focus on how to gain more power. Some of his own plans along with his brothers that they had just discussed. Think everything through thoroughly. Though he could see his wife, Sulpicia, it seemed to be quiet some time since he had spoken to her. He was certain it hadn't been to long, but he could often get distracted with power.
Aro made his way toward through the castle it would be quiet easy to find his wife. Aro smiled easily picking up Sulpicia's scent. It always pleased him to see his wife he did love her deeply. He always had. Even though he would be willing to give her up for power he still loved his wife. He would do almost anything for her as long as it did not interfere with his power. Power always was and will be his first priority. Aro opened the door to their room smiling a bit more seeing his wife. "Sulpicia." Aro's tone was gentle. He was obviously happy to see her.

Sulpicia had realized that her finger had still been twirling in an endless manner around her hair. It was a habit that she would sometimes not even realize she was doing if it was absorbed in thought. That could happen much easier with some subjects more than other, depending on her amount of time and the interest of the subject. Another thing that could pretty easily contribute to the amount of thought that she put into something could be her boredom, though boredom wasn't a frequent thing for her. Sometimes her thoughts would end up keeping her frmo being bored.
Hearing her name come from Aro - the happiness in it, sent a wave of happiness through Sulpicia; despite how cheesy the thought did happen to sound. A real smile - one that few people actually saw - spread across her face, though it was a small smile. She was not one of the people that would have a large, ear-to-ear smile across her face. That was just too weird for her to do, and it seemed just plain odd and pointless. She probably would never bother with it, either, and that was a fact that she did not mind a bit.
"Aro," her tone was soft and light, seeing as she was often soft spoken. It was amazing how formal they still were. Sulpicia knew it was just because of how they were raised, which was slowly starting to become different. The smile remained across her face softly, just sitting there as if it was a normal thing. It was normal around Aro - unless in public - but not so much usually. The only things she ever really smiled about in public were if something were amusing, whether in a cruel way or a not so cruel way. Though, usually, a cruel way.

[[My mind went blank I had no idea what Aro should say so hopefully this post is somewhat okay. Maybe it's to early to think.]]
Aro was pleased to see Sulpicia smile in return. He truly did love his wife. She meant so much to him and always had since the first day he had seen her. It was so easy to be happy around her and she in return often was as well. It was normal when they were alone for the other to show they truly were happy. Even though Sulpicia's smile was small it was a real smile. Something that was not to common on Sulpicia's lips. This he knew very well. Only Aro got to see this side of Sulpicia for obvious reason. She was his wife, his mate. Aro himself could be considerably more gentle around his wife and only her. It was easy to appear friendly and enthusiastic for much did interest him about others, but as always there was something about Sulpicia that always drew him in. Always interested him.
Aro would always want power. Even now he could probably be planning on ways to gain more, but he did want to see his wife. Spend some time with her. It had seemed like a while since he had spoken with her. He was always interested in what she had been doing, what she had thought about. Every little detail he wanted to know. And it was so easy to know with one touch. Even after so many years everything about his wife still fascinated him and he was certain it always would. He had been drawn to Sulpicia so quickly and loved her almost since the beginning. He had always felt strongly for her and he knew such feelings would never go away. He would always love his wife and nothing would change that.
Aro took several steps toward Sulpicia. Aro smiled as he gently caressed her cheek. He enjoyed the simple touch, but this also allowed him to read her every thought. It seemed she had started to become bored. As well as just finished another drawing that he only saw in her thoughts. He could probably look at them physically he knew where they were, but he chose not to. Sulpicia did not want anyone to see them so he wouldn't look at them unless she wanted him to. She was artistic and was always wonderful to see them in her thoughts. As always she was happy to seem he could tell this even without reading her thoughts. "It seems you were becoming slightly bored." It was not always a common for Sulpicia to become bored there was always something that she could find to do to prevent boredom. "I do hope that won't last long."

Sulpicia placed her hand on top of Aro's hand that was caressing her cheek. She was well aware of both meanings behind the simple gesture - it was both to read her thoughts and to show his love for her. Smiling, she could almost meet him eye to eye, seeing as she was fairly tall, though he was still slightly taller. Not that she minded, she was personally glad to be taller but no taller. She would probably end up finding it too awkward to be taller than him, anyway. Too hard to look down on for her without her feeling awkward.
Sulpicia nodded about Aro's comment on her thoughts, and all of her really, starting to become slightly bored. Normally she could pretty easily find her own solution to being slightly bored, but in this case it seemed like she wouldn't have to. She never got bored being around her husband, seeing as she didn't see him quite as frequent as a normal pair of mates might see each other. She did not mind it, too much, though as she knew Aro was happy being in power and as long as he was happy with whatever he was doing she was happy.
"I think that my boredom might find it's end with you here," Sulpicia spoke softly with a twinkle in her eye. She intertwined her hand into is, not minding that he could read her thoughts. It was something she had gotten accustomed to, and it even was helpful at time. Sometimes things were just too hard to put into words and it could be the best way to really explain it. She could still remember how angered she had been at him at first for reading her thoughts so many years ago, but she had forgiven him completely now that she loved him.

Aro smiled at Sulpicia as she placed her hand over his. Aro always wanted to know what she was thinking. Every little detail always fascinated him. Since the first day he had seen her she had fascinated him and has continued even to the present. Every little thought of was interest. Sulpicia could be very opinionated at times and he enjoyed reading her thoughts. Even though Aro did not spend as much time with Sulpicia as he did focused on power he still loved his wife deeply. Power would always be his first priority, but he did have some time now. He could have focused on power, but he wanted to spend some time with his wife. He probably did not spend as much time as he should, but Sulpicia understood. He needed power and he would do absolutely anything to gain more.
Aro could stay focused on powers for hours at a time. He could always find some way to gain more power. Talents were something he often wanted it allowed him to gain that much more power. Making sure vampires followed the rules was an important duty. The one law all must follow keeping their existence a secret was of the utmost importance. It seemed he could spend most of his time focused on power than on his wife, but she did not mind this. Aro truly did love his wife and wanted to make she was happy. Often as long as he was she was as well. Aro would do almost anything for his wife. With the one exception it did not interfere with his power. He would give up anything for power including his wife. But the choice between power and his wife would probably never had to be made. What reason would he ever have to choose between the two? He was selfish in wanting both perhaps, but Sulpicia was content. Knowing this she still loved him and was happy. It pleased Aro greatly anytime he read this in her thoughts.
"I would certainly hope so." Aro enjoyed having Sulpicia intertwine their hands. Sulpicia never minded him reading her thoughts. They were always of interest. The first time she had been quiet displeased, upset, angry even, but she had quickly adjusted to allowing him to read her thoughts. Once she realized she loved him she had quickly forgiven him. Something he was happy for. He always had and always will love his wife. There was nothing that would change how he felt. Change was so rare for a vampire it was something that most likely would not happen. A few occasions may change them, but not many. Aro was certain his love for his wife would be something that would never change. Even if he would give it all up for power he would still love his wife. She meant so much to him.

Sulpicia saw his smile, but did not smile any larger as it was just not something that she would do. She knew that he probably smiled much more than she did, but he was often rather friendly appearing. He was friendly, yes, but there were certain things that she was aware of that would turn Aro not so friendly. She knew exactly how to keep his spirits uplifted, and knew that he knew how to keep her spirits uplifted. Though she usually was not sad, truly, just so quiet some times that people would consider her sad or lonely. She was just quite.
The smile still graced across her face, Sulpicia listened to him as he spoke. She could hear everything going on in the castle, as well as hear it too. That was something she was accustomed to, but she was focused on Aro. She kept her dark crimson eyes - a sign that she was averagely thirsty - upon him, easily meeting his eyes. It helped slightly that she wasn't a midget like some people, say around Jane's height as example not to be rude, but she was at the same time still smaller. She did not like being too much taller than people, it made her feel rather awkward.
"Well, there are endless possibilities." That was true for the most part, but Sulpicia knew that overall it truly was a lie. She lifted up his arm, turning gracefully underneath it in a dancing motion. Her robe swirled with her slightly, but barely went away from her feet seeing as it was just a tiny, slow twirl. Being a vampire it made it much easier to not stumble over her feet and well, basically just be able to be graceful. That was certainly one of the stronger pluses of being a vamipre.

There certainly were many possibilities. It was never boring when Aro was around Sulpicia. It simply was not possible and this pleased Aro greatly. She would always be interesting to him no matter how many years have gone by. Aro did not keep up with time to much, but knew this would never change. While there was much Aro still needed to do he would spend time with his wife. Something he did not to much of. There was always something that needed to be done and all of it usually relating to power. Whether it was gaining new talents or destroying a vampire who broke their rules. For now Aro would not focus on power to much he had not spent much time with his wife lately and he would focus on her for the time being.
Aro smiled watching his wife make a small twirl. As Sulpicia finished the small dance motion Aro placed his other hand on her waist still holding her hand with his other hand. "Would you agree to dance?" Aro questioned knowing Sulpicia would not say 'no' what reason would she have for that? Aro loved his wife and wanted nothing more than to keep her happy. As long as it did not interfere with his power. Power was the one thing he would never give up not even for his wife. He would do anything to keep and gain power. But Sulpicia was often happy even though he craved power more she was happy because he was. It was often easy to keep his wife happy. It pleased Aro greatly to know she was content most of the time even if he did not see her often.
Aro could often get distracted with power and in turn spend less time with his wife. Even times he would leave Volterra to see to matters himself giving Sulpicia less and less time. She never complained and Aro was grateful for that. The very reason when he did have some spare time, like now, he would come and see his wife. It wasn't often, but it was always enjoyable to be with his wife. Every little thing she did still fascinated him and always had. Just as he loved her he always would. This was something that would never change even with power he would still love Sulpicia deeply.

When Sulpicia felt Aro's hand go on her waist, she placed her own pale hand on his shoulder in the classic dance motion. It brushed slightly against his long - for someone of the male gender, at least - dark, hair that she loved so much. Some men could not pull off the long hair look that some might consider a 'bad boy', but it fit him well. It wasn't terribly long, either, and was kept very well and neatly. Which was certainly a good thing! Though it was also expected from him - with his position of power and all.
With a small, almost mischevious smile, Sulpicia spoke. "You say that like you don't already know, dear." She was done with the formalities at the moment, as they could be a bore sometimes. It was as if there was no such thing as a pronoun sometimes between them. With what she said though, it was obvious to her that he should already know that she agreed to it. She had brought it up in the first place and he could easily just read her thoughts since they were touching at the current moment. Times like these no words were needed.
"But, of course, yes," Sulpicia said her smile now kind and warmer like it always was around him. He was truly the only person that saw her soft side. Athendora probably did occasionally, yes, but they had also been close as humans too so that was slightly different. Though it didn't matter, because she never saw how soft she got with Aro. It was incredible how someone such as her could become so insanely kind and warm in a matter of seconds by just seeing one person, her mate obviously, but she never minded that.

There was still so much Aro could be doing. There was always something he could focus on. Always some way to gain power. He had been just discussing this with his brothers. While he could have focused on power for several more hours he had simply wanted to see his wife. He did not see her as often as he probably should, but she never complained. She knew power made him happy and was happy to let him be happy. It was truly wonderful to have Sulpicia understand this. Aro craved power more than anything even more than Sulpicia. That was not to say he did not love his wife because he truly did. He loved her deeply and it was to easy to tell just how much by simply being around her. And in turn it was easy to tell how much Sulpicia loved him. She was never gentle around anyone aside from himself.
Aro noticed Sulpicia's small smile as she responded to his question. He knew what her answer would be even if he was not touching her enabling him to read her thoughts. Aro expected Sulpicia to agree to dance. She would have no reason not to. "Perhaps I just wanted to hear your voice." This was true at times Aro simply enjoyed hearing Sulpicia her voice was musical as all vampires were, but there was always something about Sulpicia he was drawn to. Everything about her was fascinating to him. He had always wanted her, always loved her and that would never change. Nothing could change what he felt for her. Even if he did want power more than her he still loved his wife and would do nearly anything for her. As long as it did not interfere with his power. It was hard not to be drawn to Sulpicia the more time he spent with her the more he had learned just how amazing she truly was.
Aro turned Sulpicia beginning the formal dance that they were accustom to. Aro did enjoy dancing with his wife. Dancing was easy for vampires they were far more graceful than humans could ever hope to be. Aro also enjoyed being able to simply touch his wife. To know her every thought he had always wanted to know her thoughts and still did. He would always be drawn to her and would always want to know what she was thinking. Even more so since they did not spend much time together Aro always wanted to know her thoughts. To know if she was happy, content and for the most part she was. There was very little that made her unhappy at the very least around him. It was diffiuclt for either of them to be unhappy or upset around the other it seemed. Just being in each others presence allowed them to be happy.

Her voice. Sulpicia was surprised with herself to not see that coming, as she knew Aro well enough that most of the time she have the general idea of what he was going to do. It was every occasion or so where he would do something that she had not expected, but still not all too often. She might have had the idea in the back of her mind somewhere, but it had decided today apparently just to keep hidden and let her be surprised with his words. Not that it upsetted her, no no! On the contrary, it did please her quite a bit.
"Though that defeats the entire purpose of having a perfect memory, I do not mind." Sulpicia spoke in her soft, musical voice. Despite it could be taken in a rude or stuck up way, with the tone of her voice she said it in it would most likely be taken far from rude. It was easy with her to tell how she intended her words, both from her tone and her crimson eyes. They always had a certain twinkle if it was a kind or even teasing type of way. If it was intended to be rude towards someone, though, they were hard and appeared as hard as her skin.
Dancing was certainly easy. They had had much practice with the traditional dance, and being vampires it was easy to stay balanced as opposed to humans. Sulpicia also remembered it clearly, she could remember their first time dancing as well. They naturally fit rather well together, that was near undeniable by most. Being in each other's presence was spirit lifting. They just appeared to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle, perhaps. Meant to be together but sometimes they just can't be together, whatever the cause of it may end up being.

It was obvious Aro was happy to be here with his wife and why would he not? Sulpicia meant so much to him and while he wanted power more than anything even her he still loved her deeply. He always had love her from the very first day it took some time to get Sulpicia to realize her love for him but it had worked out. Just as everything else had. There was nothing that would change how he felt for her. Vampires rarely changed. Sulpicia had been a change to him allowed him to truly love her from the very start. The very reason he had changed her and there was nothing that would make him think the choice had been a bad one. He had always thought it was a good choice and kept hold of that. Even when Sulpicia had been uncertain if it was good or not. So much has happen since that night. They certainly loved each more freely realizing they did love each other. Of course there was so much more that had happen. Aro craved power and he had gained complete control of what the Romanians had.
Even now Aro could be focused on power there was much he needed to do. However, he simply wanted to spend time with his wife at the moment. There was much he needed to think about, consider, plan. All dealing with power. Power was always his first priority and because of that he did not spend much time with Sulpicia. Probably less time than he should, but not once did Sulpicia complain. She knew power made him happy and it's what he wanted so she let him be. Aro would do almost anything to make sure Sulpicia was happy she would never request he give up his power he wouldn't anyways. There was nothing he would not give up for power even his wife though he would rather not. He was selfish wanting both power and his wife, but he had not had to make the choice indefinitely to have one or the other. And he did not think that choice would ever have to be made.
"Perhaps." Aro agreed with Sulpicia's statement. "All the same I still enjoy to hear your voice even with a perfect memory." There was nothing about Sulpicia that Aro did not like. She was perfect every feature of her was perfect to him. Even after so many years together Sulpicia still fascinated him and he knew for certain she always would. He always enjoyed reading her thoughts make sure she was happy was something that was easy to accomplish. Often just being around Sulpicia was enough to make her happy. It pleased him greatly how easy it was for them to be happy merely being in each others presences was all it took for each to be happy. Their mood all together would change. It was easy, natural to be happy around Sulpicia. There was very little that would change his mood when around his wife if anything could.
Dancing certainly was easy, but Aro also enjoyed keeping contact with his wife. Able to read every little thought she had. As always her thoughts were of great interest. There was not many if any that interested Aro like Sulpicia did. She had from the beginning and continue to do so. Aro was completely drawn to her and everything she did of was great interest to him. Her drawings she did not allow anyone to see always interest him even though he only saw them in her thoughts it was enough. She was very artistic and always had been another feature of his wife he loved. She was also very intelligent and learned very quickly as all vampires do. Aro smiled at Sulpicia's thoughts of them meant to be together. It was very true from the beginning they were and always would be. Often it was because there was something Aro had to do, always something to do with power, that would make so they couldn't be together. But it did not change anything they were still happy together and always would be. "Your thoughts are so very true." Aro's tone was soft, gentle as it often was around Sulpicia.

"As do I," It was true. Aro's voice itself, just hearing it's musical tones, helped Sulpicia make it through her day. It might sound rather cheesy, yes, but she did not care as it truly did not matter to her. She could care less what people really thought about her thoughts about her mate, except for Aro himself. His opinion mattered to her more than her own opinion, it was as if he controlled her. He did not, no, as she was her own free person. But she was raised in a time where women were more puppets than anything else so it was almost just like a habit to act like that. That and the fact she loved him.
The smile stretched ever so slightly across Sulpicia's face, though it was not big enough for a human to notice. It was hardly even big enough of a movement for a vampire to notice unless they had been looking for it or waiting for it to happen even. "I had no doubt that they were not correct." She did not doubt that his echoed hers some what, even if worded completely different with the same meaning behind it. There were so many different ways that you could say the exact same thing, the possibilities were almost endless - even if you did decide to keep it in the same language as before. There were numerous possibilites no matter what.
Easily and gracefully as ever their dance continued. It was such a simple dress that had been around for many different time periods, and Sulpicia had watched them change ever so slightly. There were many other dances that she knew as well, but most of them required at least four people. There were others that only needed two people, yes, but this was so old-fashioned and traditional like the both of them. He might have been older than her by a century or two, yes, but their time periods had not been much different. Nor had hers been any more advanced.
Sighing contently, Sulpicia placed her head into the crook of Aro's neck. It did not make things awkward as it was still easy to dance as she did not even have to think about it after having danced with Aro so many times. Nor did her being nearly as tall as him make it awkward, it was just too hard to be awkward with him it seemed. She inhaled deeply, enjoying his scent. It was clear and distinct in her mind, and she loved it deeply. It was her favorite smell in the world, it was the smell of her true love. One that she would never forget, even if she had the mere memory of a human.

Aro easily kept the smile on his face. It was easy, natural to be happy around Sulpicia. It took no amount of time to think about it. Sulpicia in turn was often happy when he was close by. Often time he would focus on power. There was always some way to gain more. Always a vampire they would have to destroy. There was always something for the Volturi to take care of whether that gaining more talents or making sure others followed their rules. Aro certainly loved gaining new talents or even meeting new vampires. It was always wonderful to meet others and make sure they were aware who the Volturi were and who the leaders were. It was always interesting. Even now there was a few things Aro could be focused on but for now he was spending time with his wife. For it seemed he did not spend as much time with her as perhaps he should. She never complained and for that Aro was pleased. She knew he would remain focused on power for long periods of time and knew that is what made him happy. He did love her and wanted to also be happy. She usually found some way or another to keep herself occupied but it was easy to tell she was happiest with him.
Aro kept the smile on his lips as Sulpicia replied to his statement and while he read her thoughts. It was pleasant to merely be near each other and to hear the others voice always pleased both of them. It was a comfort to hear Sulpicia as much as it was to be near her. He enjoyed being close and keeping skin contact this allowed him to read every thought she had. It always interested him, her thoughts, they simply fascinated him and always had. They always had since that first day and continued to do so. They always would no matter how many years would by nor how much power he would gain. He would always care deeply fro Sulpicia and always be interested in what she was thinking. Of course Aro always wanted to know what others were thinking. With his talent he found out more than he would ever know through words. At times thoughts were so much easier to express than through words spoken. And he could also know so much more secrets they did not want him to know. Know for certain if they had broken the rules or not though most of the time he would simply order them to be destroyed and be done with it. It seemed out of all the thoughts he would read Sulpicia's often caught his interest more than any others.
"I would hope not." Aro replied gently. It was the only time Aro would allow himself to seem gentle. And for very good reasons. He was always calm even now when he was far from it. He could be friendly, enthusiastic with guest but one wrong word or if they had broken their rules he would order them to be killed. They were the Volturi and they could not have any weakness it simply could not be excepted. Aro loved to prove just how powerful the Volturi were. And all the while wanting to gain more talents. There were a few talents Aro wanted as always. He was quiet aware of other vampires and the talents they did indeed have. He wanted to make the sure the Volturi seemed justified in their actions. If a vampire did not want to join them he would not force them. However, with Chelsea that task was so much easier. He could make them feel loyal make them want to be apart of the Volturi. It was often helpful and allowed him to gain talents. There were several ways aside from using Chelsea to gain talents, but Chelsea was often the easiest and most efficient way to gain talents.
Aro would agree most certainly with Sulpicia's thoughts. Time had indeed gone by so much had changed during that time. It seemed humans were constantly changing. They remained the same and always would. There were very few times when a vampire would ever changing finding a mate certainly was one of those times. There was very little that could change Aro would always want more power. Even after he had gained the Romanians power he had still wanted more so much more and that his goal. He wanted more power more talents, more ways to make them seem that much stronger. The Volturi were so much grander than the Romanians had ever dreamed of being. Aro did not at all mine Sulpicia coming closer to him quiet on the contrary he loved it. He loved being close to his wife being able to hold her and be that much closer to her. He loved her scent just as much as she loved his. It was certainly a comfort and wonderful to know she was so close to him. Even being so close it was easy to still dance they were still just as graceful as they would be standing a bit of a distance away. It made no difference and Aro enjoyed it that much more by being so very close to his wife.

"You would be the one to know if they were not," Sulpicia commented softly. Her tone was most always soft, around most people, unless of course she was angered. She had a small amount of patience most of the time and a short temper, but surprisingly was not angered often. It was probably because people knew when not to disturb her, and had probably seen her angered in the past or heard stories about it. But overall she was usually pretty mellow and calmed, which is what made her tone so quite and soft all the time. That didn't mean it was gentle all the time, just because it was soft. If she wanted it to be gentle it was obvious, and if she didn't it too was pretty obvious. It also showed in her crimson eyes whether or not it was meant to be taken gently. Her facial features where most of the time pretty easy to read, unless she did not want it to be like that. She was good at hiding her emotions, but most of the time she had no reason to. Athendora and Aro were the main two people to see her, and she loved both of them. Just one more than the other.
It was obvious which one Sulpicia loved more, even though she had known Athendora as a human. That didn't mean she had loved Aro from the very beginning, but once she realized that she really did love him she couldn't honestly hide it. Especially since by that point she had allowed him to read her thoughts, even though at that time she had considered a friend more than anything else. She was just glad that the feeling had been mutual, otherwise she was not sure what she would have ended up doing. It also would have been rather awkward (well, she knew it would have been for her) to be around him especially since he would have known. And she probably would have left as soon as possible if that had been the case, as she could not stand being in awkward situations! It was absolutely horrible for her and she despised it with all of her might. It was just too horrid and she did not like going through awkward times. They were rather bothersome for her as well as terrible, and being irked was not something she was exactly a fan of. She couldn't imagine anyone actually liking be bothered!
Straightening up, Sulpicia gave him a sweet, chaste kiss on the cheek before pulling away in a graceful turn. She gave him a small smile, but did not come back up to him. "Tell me, dear, what are you thinking about? You always get to read my thoughts, I'd like a turn at hearing your thoughts." Perhaps it was a little unfair to be so sudden with it, but she knew that Aro would forgive her, even if not immediately. She would be rather persuasive if she wanted to, and she knew him well enough to figure out how to get his forgiveness. It's not like she would threaten or something idiotic like that to get his forgiveness, especially since that would not end well on her sake. She was not stupid, and that would be about the stupidest thing she could possibly do. She knew Aro did love her, yes, but she knew if he had to chose between her and power that choice would be power. As long as he was happy, she'd be happy. She wouldn't even act offended by it, even if she truly was. But she doubted it'd ever have to come to that. "Be honest, as well." She added before he was able to respond.

This was very true Aro would know for certain false or not. All Aro needed to do was to read her thoughts. This was true for anyone. Aro often liked knowing everything about everyone he came across. More so about talents that would be of great use to him, to the Volturi. It was always so very interesting to come across talents that he wanted. It allowed the Volturi to become that more powerful. It was always so wonderful to gain a new guard to gain a new talent. Aro easily read over Sulpicia's thoughts and as always they interested him. And he knew they always would. Aro enjoyed reading over her thoughts when they had first met it was always interesting to know she had felt something even though she had refused it in the beginning. There had been a lot of adjustment once he had changed her. Aro had remained patient even though he had wanted to read her thoughts and even now he could be patient but for what reason would she not allow him to read her thoughts? There was no reason. Aro never wanted to make Sulpicia uncomfortable or put her in a situation that would make her feel so. Of course being around Sulpicia he knew she felt the same when it was difficult for that feeling to ever come. It was so easy to be relaxed comfortable around each other.
Of course there was much Aro had been discussing with his brothers. That even now he could be focusing on. Instead he was focused on Sulpicia. Though there were a few things he should be thinking about. There was always some vampire that needed to be destroyed for breaking their rules or some talent that Aro wanted to gain. There was always ways to make the Volturi seem that much more powerful and it pleased Aro greatly when they were able to prove just that. Aro loved meeting new vampires allowing them to know they were the Volturi and they were in the ones in power. They were so much grander than the Romanians had ever dreamed of being it was most wonderful. There were a few talents Aro wanted when he would gain them he was uncertain but it would be soon enough. There was always a talent Aro craved always a talent he hoped to gain. It was all a matter of convincing such a vampire to join them. Whether it was using Chelsea and her most useful talent or another way they would gain talents they wanted. There was always something that would make the Volturi that more powerful something that would give them that much more of an advantage.
Aro smiled as Sulpicia kissed him before pulling away. Aro was not expecting the question but he suppose it was fair. He had been thinking about power as usual. He had been thinking about Sulpicia as well but most of his thoughts had been focused on power she wanted to be truthful as well. "Mostly what I had been discussing with my brothers. About power." This too was true Aro would answer honestly for he had no reason not to. It was expected for Aro to focus on power even around Sulpicia. There was always something to plan always something to think about. Aro had been thinking about Sulpicia as well perhaps not as much as power but he had still thought about her as well as reading her thoughts. "I've been thinking about you as well your thoughts, our first meeting, how easy it is to be happy and relaxed around you." Aro smiled softly at Sulpicia it was very true how easy it was to be happy. Just simply being near Sulpicia was enough to make him happy and it always would be.

Sulpicia did not bring herself to being surprised that he had been thinking about power, it was something that was not uncommon for him to be thinking about. That was obvious to most, even if they did not know Aro half as well as she did. When at power one would they about power, would they not? It would be rather foolish, and if the leaders were foolish no good would come out from it. Though she was well aware that Aro, Cauis, and Marcus were all far from foolish. Quite the opposite, in fact. But as long as the time Aro consumed without her that he was happy, she was fine with it. She was not selfish enough (though she did not deny having selfish moments) to force him to spend less time on power. As long as his planning of power kept him as high up as they were, she was fine. She would not be the only one angered if they lost her power. It was just easy, and simpler to stay at power as opposed to loose it. It would be a drastic change, and she could not imagine how much pain her husband would be in. Which would only naturally cause her more pain, which just overall would not be good. That was the second reason she allowed him to spend so much time on power. The first being it was his source of happiness, so to say. His happiness was her happiness, it was plain and simple. He was her other half, after all.
The corners of her lips turned up slightly, though. Sulpicia had been thinking about their first meeting as well, but he knew that and that was probably what had caused it to cross his mind. She was not entirely sure though, there could have been another reason. It was easy to be happy and relaxed around him as well. It was when she was the happiest but not necessarily the most relaxed. Sometimes just being alone in silence was extremely calming for her and it allowed her thoughts to roam as they pleased. Especially since there was no one to bother her or cause her to change her thoughts. It was not like she would forget what she was thinking about, but it was just easiest some times for her to be able to think about it non stop. It was simplest that way for her. She had a rather straight forward thought train most of the time, and did not often delay on her past thoughts unless they were happiest ones. Their first meeting was not necessarily happy, as she had not been pleased with him, but it was also a very joyful one for her. It was the first time she had met him, she had just not known at the time that he would be her mate. She would have never expected it. It was not common for her to change her mind, but she was glad she had in that situation. Her life would have turned out dramatically different without Aro in it.
"I'm not supposed to be surprised, am I?" Sulpicia said in a calm tone, though not at all to be rude! It just was not surprising that he had more than one thing on his mind, and she knew that one was likely to be power and one was likely to be her with the current circumstances. She had asked him to be honest, though, and she knew that he had. At this point she was immune, so to say, to being hurt by his thoughts still on power despite being around her. At first she might have been more sensitive about it, perhaps slightly hurt though she would not admit it. She knew if there was not power there relationship would have probably been much different than it was today. She did not dare to think of it, as there was a slim possibility it might make her think twice about power. "Though I suppose if you weren't thinking about power, even sub-consciously, I'd be worried about you. It'd be rather different." A kind smile appeared on her face, and she stepped forward to him once again. She did not touch him again, though, as if taunting him in some way. She knew how curious he was, and how interested he was in her thoughts. She had known for a while. It had became obvious after a couple of decades. Plus at their first encounter he had told her she was fascinating, despite her denial to it.

"I wouldn't expect you to be." It was usually not to diffiuclt to guess what Aro may be thinking about. Power was always something he would focus on, but just what exactly could not be certain. There was so much he could focus so much that needed to be consider, decided. Aro had after all just spoke to his brothers they had gone over much and would need to discuss a few items in much more detail. There seemed to always be something to plan, something to do. Gaining power was one of Aro's main concerns. He wanted to make sure the Volturi continued to gain power, continued to become that more powerful and grander. He was much pleased with just how powerful they had become proving they were better than the Romanians had ever dreamed of being. Gaining talents was something Aro enjoyed it always pleased him to have a new talent, someone who would be of great use, withing the guard. Talents as well as destroying those who broke their rules. There was always one vampire or another that had be destroyed. They enforced their rules and would not allow anyone to break them. They did not give second chances to no one.
It would be very different if Aro did not think of power. Aro not thinking of power did not seem possible. There was always something he could focus. There was always a wide range of problems and situations that needed his attention. Always some reason to speak with his brothers. "That does seem unlikely to happen." Even before they had gained power Aro had been concentrated on power. He always had been and always would be. It his first priority. Nothing would or could change that. Aro would always be more concerned about power above everything else. He was willing to risk anything to ensure he kept power, gained more. He had proven this though Aro did not want anyone to know this small fact. It was in the past there was no reason to dwell on what had exactly happen to his sister. He had proved easily how far he would go even to the extent of killing those he loved. Of course not many knew this a guard or two perhaps but no more than that. Aro would not allow that to happen.
Aro smiled in turn to Sulpicia's smile. It was easy to be happy around his wife. She did mean much to him. While he was willing to give her up for power if needed he still cared for her deeply. He did not think he would ever have to choose between the two. For what reason would he? He was selfish in wanting both power and Sulpicia but she was content knowing he was happy with power. It pleased Aro greatly he truly loved her more as time went on. He had loved her from the start the very reason he had changed her. And she had continued to fascinate him, amaze him. Her thoughts was something he always wanted to know. He was always eager to read her thoughts when they were apart for some time. Which did seem often. There was so much Aro had to do, had to plan. There was nothing that could change his priorities not even Sulpicia power would always be first. But he still loved his wife deeply and wanted her to be happy as well. It was not to diffiuclt to make sure she was. It was often easy just to be around each other and they were both happier in turn.

If he had expected Sulpicia to be surprised, she would have been because of that statement. The constant thoughts of power never seemed to shock her anymore. In the beginning it had a bit, as he had seemed rather too obsessed with it. A lot of things for her had been different in the beginning, though. She had been angered, upset mainly by his decision. That changed after not too long. But in the end, he had gotten what he wanted so it did not entirely matter any longer. It was all in the past. The past could be important yes, but not in every situation. With the Volturi it could be quite important! It could save or destroy lives, and easily change decisions or thoughts. Simple things as some people put it could make some of the biggest differences in lives, whether it was for a good thing or a terrible thing was never quite exact. It depended on the situation and the thoughts about it. Different thoughts had different outcomes, but the main thing about it where two options: life or death. Your choices and thoughts truly controlled that.
That was rather obvious, it was extremely unlikely for him well, it was be strange for him not be thinking of power. Sulpicia knew that fact well to be true. Power always crossed her mind, but her thoughts were not as consumed as his often seemed to be. She was good at busing her self with something else to do, something that could distract her for a while. Whether she did it quickly or not, she would take her time and bother with precise details that the human eye was likely to not even notice unless looking extremely hard for it. Even then it had a chance at missing the tiny details, as humans were not often as aware to their surroundings like vampires were. They did not have the incredible sight that picked up everything and more. Being a vampire certainly had it's perks, and she was glad for that especially as missing details tended to bother her. It may be tedious to some to just sit there adding details that most would not appreciate, but she was fine with it. Sometimes time just needed to be wasted, and sometimes she just did it to make it look as realistic as she could.
"Molto vero," Sulpicia said softly. It was indeed very true! That went without saying, practically without any thought going in to it either. "But I suppose then that it would be rather good that you can be thinking about more than one thing are once." Or at least it was in her point of view. If he never took his thoughts off of power for the smallest second she wasn't quite sure where that would end up putting her in the end. It probably wouldn't be a happy situation. She was content with Aro's power and position at the moment because he did come see her, and it was not like he had just locked her away up in the towers. At least she had Athendora with her to keep her company when she did get terribly bored! She had always liked her cousin, even as a human which was a good thing. If she had been up there alone all this time she wasn't sure what she would have ended up doing, but surely she would have gone crazy after a few centuries or so. Which wouldn't have been good.

It would be nearly impossible for Aro to not think about power. For there was always some way to gain more power, some way to make sure the Volturi appeared powerful. Aro would have it no other way. He was thinking of some way to gain more perhaps gaining another talent or some other way that would make the Volturi more powerful. Even enforcing their rules and destroying a vampire in turn was often one way to do show how powerful the Volturi were. Any who broke their rules was to be destroyed. Aro could so easily become distracted with power even now with Sulpicia so close. He loved his wife truly he did but they both knew he would give up if the choice between her and power came. Aro was selfish in wanting both Sulpicia and power. Yet Sulpicia never complained she was simply happy because she was. Which always pleased him greatly. He was happy to know she could find so many ways to be content even if he was away for a long time. When he would be so focused on power that Sulpicia would not even cross his mind even once.
Aro smiled at Sulpicia it was a good thing he could focus on multiple things at once. It was easy for a vampire to do just that something that proved just how much grander they were than humans. ”Yes I would agree it is a very good thing. After all there is so much to think about.” This was true there was so much Aro could be thinking about. And all of it could be about power. He could be planning on multiple ways on gaining power or what needed to be done. For there was always some vampire coming far to close to revealing their secret. There was always something to be done. And of course Aro needed to consider his brothers, Marcus and Caius, opinions as well. They had ideas on how to achieve more power on how to the make the Volturi that more powerful. Something Aro would always listen to. If power was in any way involved in a conversation it would have all of his attention. Aro was power oriented power would always come first there was no question about that. But this was not to say he did not think of other items. Sulpicia he certainly thought about. After all she was his love, his mate, wife. She meant so much to him even if he would give her up for power his feelings for her would never change.
Aro would always care for Sulpicia there was nothing that would change this. So little could actually change a vampire finding a mate certainly did. Aro had not expected to have even find a mate let alone feel as strongly as he did when he first met Sulpicia. He had been completely irrational to change her and not think of the consequences so unlike him. But something he never regretted he loved her and always would. He would want to live without her but if power was involved and he had to give her up he would. Power would always come first and so many times Aro had read in Sulpicia’s thoughts that she was happy as long as he was. This in turn often made Aro happy it was hard not to be happy around Sulpicia. When he would take time to be with her just as he was now. It was not often but it was so easy for him to simply focus on power and nothing else. ”Sulpicia, I love you so.” Aro’s voice was soft and gentle something only Sulpicia would only hear.
