Ten year old Rachael Black was standing in the water, up to her little knees. She had on shorts, since it was a half way warm day but it would rain soon. Her mother, was 20 feet back, helping Rachael with a school project. Jake was in time out and would join them later. . . .maybe.
Them being Rachael and Bella Swan, who came every summer and Rachael had to play to her, or get fussed at by her mother. Neither of which was very fun. "Petals!" When Rachael heard the nick name her mother gave her, she turned to look, and see her mother point at Bella, who was on the beach. Getting the hint, Rachael sighed, "Do you want to come in the water, Bella?" ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

Bella wasn't have a fun time as her father would have wanted her to have. She dragged to the beach to play with the kids at La Push not that she really wanted to. She had come down here every summer since she could remember and at first going to the beach had been fun and spending time with her father. But now she wasn't so sure. But she was a kid she changed her mind about what was fun and what wasn't. She wanted to have fun right now and didn't focus on how much time she had spent down here.
"Um sure," Bella responded when Rachel asked her if she wanted to get in the water. Bella walked over the water she had on shorts and had taken over her flip flops when she got got on the beach. She slowly walked into the water it felt nice she smiled as she made her way to where Rachel was.

Rachael wasn't sure what to talk to the white girl about. She looked back at her mother and then at Bella. "How long are you here for?" Maybe Bella wouldn't stay long and then Rachael's school friends could come over and they could play. "Did you bring any toys? I can build a sand castle!" She bragged, thinking that was cool. "Jake is in time out, so he can't ruin it!" That was a plus! Something that everyone liked, and it was better then standing here. "OR we can surf. The water is calm, which is good for new surfers." Bella shrugged her shoulders, "Probably a few hours you know how your dad and mine are when fishing." Bella knew it would be hours before the two came back. They always left them together while then went off and had fun. Sure Bella tried to have fun in the small town of Forks and La Push but she would rather be in Phoenix with her mother where it was sunny everyday and it didn't rain at all. There wasn't anything Bella could do about not coming here so she just had to make do with her time here and try to have fun.
Bella looked over where she had been there was a plastic bucket and shovel so they could make sand castles and from what Rachael was saying she was good at it. It would something fun to do. Bella looked at the waves. Surfing. Bella was not known for her balance she doubted she would be able to surf even if the waves were calm for beginners. It would a nightmare for her. "Sandcastles sound better," Bella replied not wanting to end up embarrassing herself trying to surf.

"Ok, I will get the a bucket, and you can fine a seas shells for the out side." She paused a moment before adding, "Please," so not to sound bossy and get tattled on. She walked out of the beach, and ran up to her mother and 'borrowed' Jacob's bucket. Then skipped back down near the water, and sat in the sand, and started making a pile. Bella smiled and nodded, "Okay." Bella ran to the shore but not before tripping and falling down. Bella quickly got back up and walked more carefully along the shore. Bella looked at several seashells different colors and shapes. she picked up several that she liked and quickly made her way back to Rachael trying not to fall down this time.
Bella put them on the ground and sat on her knees to see what she could do to help. "How are these?" Bella asked picking up a few and looking at them more closely before putting them back down and looking over at Rachael .

Rachael looked up. "Perfect!" She was scooping sand in the bucket and trying to pile it into a square. It wasn't working, and it looked more like a pile of sand then a castle. Still, Rachael was going to make this work. She handed Bella a plastic cup she had also gotten from her mother, "We only got one bucket. We will have to share." As Rachael liked the bucket better, she was going to play with it longer. "Why don't your parents live together?" She asked in a blunt way, but not sound mean. Kids were often curious about things they had not lived. ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

-------------------------------------------------------------------- Little Paull Moran. He was a terror; a nightmare. But his parents loved him, they just knew they could not control him so set him free . . .without a leash, which was certainly a dangerous thing to do. Today, he was at the beach with his friends and he was swimming around in the water with them. Well, splashing them was more like it. It was a beautiful day outside and they were enjoying it to their full potential.
"You can't catch me!" He said, sticking his tongue out at one of his friends while he ran far ahead. Like most kids, he was a fast little runner and just bubbling with abundant amounts of energy. In the distance, he saw two girls playing in the sand as they came closer and closer to him. He did not stop running. In fact, he did something a bit meaner.
He ran on top of the pile of sand -- whatever they were trying to make -- and kicked it in all sorts of directions. In the process, he also kicked the bucket to the side. "Ha ha!" He said, pausing only for a second to say that and then continued to run forward. [this is just a random one post. Rachael and I thought it would be funny if we had a bit of a Paul cameo] ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

Bella smiled when Rachael said her seashells were perfect. Bella took the plastic cup when Rachael handed to her and said they would have to share. "Okay," Bella said attempting to make some part of the sand castle they were making. It seemed the sand wasn't wanting to work for either of them and this aggravated Bella slightly, but she didn't give up on her attempts.
Bella stopped what she was doing to look at Rachael when she questioned why her parents didn't live together. They never had it was just how things were. She didn't have a reason as to why she never really got one. But she was saved for the moment to explaining as a boy ran through their pathetic attempt to make a sandcastle and destroyed it. Bella watched as the boy laughed and ran off. "Do you know who that was?" Bella questioned watching the boy he needed to learn to be nice. She hadn't seen him before she hadn't spent that much time in La Push and was still trying to recognize everyone.

Rachael reacted a bit more strongly then Bella. Forgetting her question for the moment, she fell back to guard her face when he kicked sand and ran away. "MOM!" She yelled, "THAT MORAN BOY KICKED SAND ON ME!" She didn't get to run over however, let her mother deal with it. Everyone knew his parents wouldn't care.
She looked up at Bella and spoke in anger at Paul, "THAT was Paul Moran! I hope a shark gets him!" She said as she looked down at her pile sand that was going to be a castle one day. She picked up one of the sea shells and thought it at him but it didn't go near him. Stupid Paul!
Rachael got up and walked away, coming back with a towel and a spray bottle. Let Paul come back now! She would be waiting. "Here." She gave the towel to Bella for her face. ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))

Bella glared over at Paul Moran now that she knew his name. She would have to make sure to try and avoid him in the future when she came over here if that was possible. Bella took the towel Rachael handed her. Bella turned to look at their sandcastle or what was left of it. Bella began picking up the seashells she had collected and put them in a pile close by turning to look at Paul making sure he wasn't going to make another run to toss everything around again.
"I guess we could try to make another sandcastle," Bella said figuring it was worth another try. Even though their first sandcastle hadn't been turning out to well maybe they would have better luck this second time around.

"Stupid Paul." She muttered under her breath, and then looked down at their mess. She started trying to pill it back up. "We have good castle sand here!" She said quoting her father. He said said the same thing when teaching her how to build them. "It rains, and the sand is wet, even this far from the water." ((Icons not of my own making. Credit goes to 'Leah' of MP.))
