They had finally arrived. Alice was obviously more familiar with this place than he was . . . but he did not turn away the unfamiliarity. He welcomed it, just like he welcomed the new life Alice had introduced him to. It was different yes, but it was better. Change was good. Change was what Jasper was desperately in need of. The family seemed nice . . . from what Alice had told him about them. She seemed to know so much . . . would there be vampires in that family with similar gifts as theirs? Jasper was a little uneasy about what was soon going to be come their residence. But, as long as Alice was here, he would remain here as well.
Who knew that so many other vampires who did not drink human blood existed. A rarity no doubt, but now Jasper was part of this life. While him and Alice traveled, he wanted to go ahead to make sure it was not dangerous for her. Though she did not see anything in her visions, one could never be too careful and he wanted no harm to come to her. He walked ahead, looking at his surroundings very carefully. It was hard to survey an area when everything was unfamiliar. He did not want to separate from Alice for too long . . . he had grown far too used to having her around him at all times. It was now difficult for him to keep away from her.
As he walked, he caught a scent. It was a vampire no doubt, and of course one he had not met. Maybe it was one that Alice knew of. He was going to make sure it was safe first. He went further and further from Alice, and closer to the unfamiliar smell.--- Tag Rose ---

------ ---Rosalie was in the little garage working on a car that she had very recently gotten. It was a 1950 Camaro. Blue with two white strips going down the hood. She was still learning about the ends and outs of this car. Trying to see what made it go and what made it go faster. She enjoyed the work, as long as she could stay clean. Which meant keeping the car clean.
---It was the smell that gave him away. Rosalie's head moved swiftly up to the garage door, and before a human could blink, she had walked to the open door as well, looking out to the edge of the woods. Someone was coming. By the smell, it was a vampire. Rosalie would have called out to anyone left in the house (Some were going hunting with Edward), but didn't want to give away that she knew they were coming.
---Then she saw him. Her first thought was it was creepy how silent he moved, even for a vampire. That thought last a fraction of a half second as her next thought took over. He was covered in scars! Rosalie gasped, in shock then the instinct and fear took over. She let out a hiss, knowing the ones inside could hear her now, and dropped into a defensive crouch. She could have been stone, for as little as she moved. Not even blinking, just staring at the 'visitor'.

Jasper stopped when he saw the blond vampire . . . staring at him as he was staring at her. Only there was a difference. He was not afraid of her. But he felt her fear, and it was only natural. He never forgot about the scars that covered his body and it was enough to many any vampire -- and human even -- wary and cautious. He made no movement when her stance was defensive. He was not going to attack, and he had a feeling she was not going to attack him. He would have to make the first move in order for her to resort to violence.
He just stood there staring at her. He would probably have to say something. If he was going to be living with this family -- as he assumed she was part of it since Alice made no mention of another vampire family nearby -- he would have to bit more of a conversationalist since he lacked in the talkative department. "I mean no harm," he said in a calm voice. He waited to see if his words and the tone in which he said them, relaxed her. It would be easier to have a conversation with the vampire if she was not in a defensive stance.

------ ---"Then why are you here?" Rosalie hissed out. It wasn't that she did not believe him--ok, it was because she did not believe him-- His scars seemed to make his statement false. It made him seem dangerous even with him almost boredly standing there. She did not come up from her crouch nor break eye contact. She wasn't going to turn her back on him, even with so many feet between them. Rosalie wasn't sure what his plans were but he was not going to get past her with out a fight.
---Rosalie's ears heard someone behind him. Much further back. He wasn't alone! His back up was coming.

He was receiving so many interesting emotions from her. He was at enough of a distance to not be directly influenced by them . . . but he certainly sensed that she was not the best vampire to be around when first arriving here. "I am not alone. I am with another of our kind . . . we seek out your family." Jasper was not very good at this sort of thing. But by informing this angry vampire that he was with another . . . may decrease any alarm she felt by another unexpected, unfamiliar presence.
"We have come to introduce ourselves to your family, and hope to remain here for some time." It would have sounded a little odd if he had something closer to the truth . . . if he had said something along the lines of 'The vampire with me has foreseen our arrival and we plan to live with you for the rest of our immortal life' . Yes. That was not a good introduction at all.

Carlisle came from within the house and stopped a half step before Rosalie, making sure he was very subtly between the new comer and his only daughter. He heard the comforting words, however the scars on the vampire worried him. He wanted to believe that this was not some sort of trap, but a honest and opened meeting. "I am Carlisle, this is my Daughter, Rosalie."
He spoke softly and kindly, yet there was a bit of an emotion in his voice that hinted he would protect that family if the new vampire tired to come closer. "You come to meet my family?"

Jasper had to admit he was relieved that someone else had come. And this vampire seemed a lot less . . . defensive than the one he had first seen. This particular vampire seemed more friendly. He was sensing better emotions from him. Jasper's social skills were already weak . . . it was much easier for him to interact with someone who was not ready to attack him. "Carlisle," Jasper said slightly lowering his head in a form of respect.
"I am Jasper Whitlock. I have come to meet your family, but not alone." He figured he had better leave the details of why they were here, and how they found the Cullens to Alice. She would be able to explain her visions better than him. "We do not mean to intrude. We are not looking for any trouble," he assured.

Alice sat in a small clearing, somewhere deep into the forest. This was not her forest, back in Philadalphia, where she had spent so many days wondering while waiting for Jasper. In a criss-cross position, the girl began idly twisting her finger around a leaf, which twisted slightly with her, then slid out of her graps. There was not a smile on her face, like there usually was. She was worried, actually. Jasper had been gone longer than she had thought he would take to scout the area. He had wanted, no, insisted, rather, to make sure the area was safe. She found little need for that, but was aware of his protectiveness over her. And she didn't mind, because she felt the same way.
Straining her ears for his return, Alice noticed a distance hiss. A vampire hiss, no doubt. This worried her even more, and at this point she had no choice but to go find him. Following his scent was not hard, as she ran through the forest. Her strides were as graceful as they were fast. Finally, she slowed as she burst through the forest walls to a clearing, with a white house. A white house! It was about time they found the coven.
Alice had been momentarily distracted by their triumph, but then she turned her attention back to the clearing. There were two other vampires, and then there was Jasper. Alice suddenly felt very ockweird, suddenly bursting into the clearing like that. Embarrassed, one could say. "Um.." Alice said as she slowly walked to Jasper, a slight smile replaced her bored frown at the sight of him, safe and sound. Or.. for now. Turning her dull yellow gaze upon the two from the house, Alice said, "Did I miss much?"

------ ---Rosalie would have relaxed when Carlisle showed up but the amount of scars on the new vampire, made her feel very doubtful at his talk of peace. This had to be a trick. The small one, the girl, had to be another part of the trick. She looked to small to be dangerous but Rosalie was not going to risk her family, her cover and her life over these two miss matched, vampires.
---"You missed your exit." Rosalie said, as she stood to stand behind and the right of Carlisle. She didn't take her eyes off of the male. Her bets were on him being the most dangerous.

Carlisle reached behind him and placed a comforting hand on Rosalie's arm. He knew she was worried over what dangers this might bare. He keep his eyes on the, now two, new comers to this area. "How many, might we be expecting, to show up." Carlisle asking wondering if the small girl was all there was, or if they were hiding others in the woods. He was glad Esme had not shown her self yet. He did not want her out here should this turn bad.
He hoped this did not turn bad.

Esme made her way down the stairs, she was in no rush to get downstairs, Carlisle and Rosalie were already there to greet the newcomers and from what she could tell there was no threat now. She could hear the conversation with her heightened hearing. As she turned and entered the area her husband and daughter stood she heard Rosalie's latest comment. A flash of disapproval overcame Esme. "Rosalie, do not be rude to our guests," she said sternly before turning to the small woman and man that were now their guests.
Esme held back a gasp as she noted the many scars on the man's skin. She had never seen anything like it, but knew better than to judge him now. She would remain kind and courteous unless they gave her a reason not to be. A warm, welcoming smile adorned her face as she took a spot next to Rosalie.
