Bella smiled at Carlisle maybe he was right. Things would change over this. It was nothing she wasn't hurt to bad she had much worse. And she usually got hurt all the time. But it wasn't because she almost got attacked she thought sadly. She knew Edward was going to make this a big deal. "Thank you Carlisle I always love to come to your home. And I don't want that to change." But Bella knew that it might and she didn't want to think about that right now.

He gave her a happy smile, "We like having you here with us. You make Esme happy, that alone would make me always welcome you to our home, but you also make Edward happy, and Alice happy. Emmett approves of you, and Jasper, despite tonight, is glad you make Edward happy." Carlisle did not bring up Rose. He could stretch the truth to the point of lieing by saying he was sure that deep down Rose was glad Edward was not alone anymore but, he didn't want to have to do that.

Bella smiled at least she was making most of his family happy. They all seemed to like to have her around, even though she was clumsy most of the time. They never seemed to be bothered by it. Emmett thought it was funny, and made sure she knew it most of the time. "It's good to know that everyone is happy to have me here."

Perhaps not everyone, but Carlisle had faith that once Rosalie saw Bella was here to stay she would come around and embrace her the way she had Alice when Alice came along with Jasper. "You make Edward happy, and he has been alone for quite some time. Alice saw you coming into our lives, and most of us, as loved you from before we meet you."
"Give Rosalie time, and she will as well. Her heart is in the right place, she just...has trouble dealing with what we are more then the others."

Bella smiled, Alice had seen her as one of them. She wonder if she was going to be changed when James, she hated thinking about him, bit her. Was that the only chance of her being on them? She didn't know if Alice's vision of her being on of them had changed or not.
"I kind of understand. I'm human wanting to give that up. She would give anything to be what I am," Bella said wondering if she was close to what Rosalie's problem was. Edward had told her something similar to that.

Carlisle's brows rose slight at how well Bella seemed to understand. "Yes," He said softly, hoping Rosalie would not over head him, "I feel the most guilt from turning her. On one hand, I have a daughter I love, and though her a son I love as well. They complete our family, however. . . She longs for simpler things. Children, family. Things that are with in your grasp and she See's you giving them up. It's hard on her to watch you make what she thinks is a mistake."
"So in her own way, she is looking out for you, perhaps. Trying to do what's best for you."

Bella smiled and nodded her head she didn't think she would want anything more than to be with Edward. But she saw what Carlisle was saying that she was protecting her in her own way. Like Edward she didn't want her to miss out on the human experiences she would miss if she was to change.
"That's what everyone seems to be doing," Bella replied after thinking about. They all wanted what was best for, Edward and Rosalie seemed to agree in that she should remain human and not miss anything.

Carlisle grinned, "Yes, everyone here seems to be protecting you from what they see is the biggest threat." He wondered if she was getting tired of it or if she understood. "You are very fragile to us. We could hurt you so easily. Like tonight, when a small paper cut, brought out something Jasper has been fighting for a while now."

Edward had told her she didn't know how breakable she really was. Bella saw this all the more reason to become one of them, it made perfect sense to her. If she was to become of them, then they wouldn't to worry about hurting her, or worry about her blood being tempting. "Shouldn't that be more of a reason for me to become like you?"

"That would depend on you and Edward, Bella." Carlisle said, "You are already my daughter in many ways. If the time comes, I will help you take the step to become my daughter in the final way. I would like you and Edward to be on agreement when the happens. It would make things easier for you both."
