"Take a rest. We actually are further then I let on." Leah said, while watching Bella sit and rest. Leah tired to recall if she had gotten tired this quickly before going wolf. Nah. She was a hiker before getting stronger from the change. "Hey, Bella, don't get offended with this question, K. I am only wondering, not trying to insult anyone. How do you keep up with a house full of vamps? They never get tired, and you do."

Bella thought about Leah's question. It really wasn't that bad keeping up with them. Well if they didn't try to act so human it would be much more difficult, but they probably slowed down much for her own benefit.
"It's not that bad," Bella replied. "But of course they slow down a lot for my own benefit. They are patient with me so that helps," yes they were all very patient with her slow human movement.
Bella got up, "guess we should get going." Bella hiked a little bit more and fell a couple of times like normal. They finally made it to the street. Bella spotted the book store and headed right in. She began browsing the collection. This was a different one from the one she had found that night so long ago. A smile appeared on her face at the memory, although it had been terrifying at first Edward had been there to save her.

"Yeah, we should get goin'." Leah said and started to follow her. She wasn't sure she liked Bella but she wasn't so sure she could keep hating Bella. Today had made Leah sort of like her. Then again, after twenty minutes of hearing Jacob moon over Bella, Leah knew she would be back to square one and not want to see, think or be around Bella.

Bella had seen several books she wanted. She ended up buying four old classics and she bought some book ends. Who knows how long Bella had been browsing the store, probably over an hour. She looked at Leah, "I hope I didn't take to long." Bella grabbed her things and headed outside.
She headed to where their ride was, but it wasn't there. Maybe they had parked somewhere else she turned to Leah. "Where did we park?" Bella asked unsure if she had just simply forgotten, which was unusual.

While Bella had shopped for over an hour, Leah had hung out in the CD area. (How much trouble could Bella get into at a book store?) When it was time to go, Leah saw how heavy the bags were and took them from Bella. The last thing Leah needed was to have her drop them on her toe and break it.
It was then, carrying Bella's heavy crap, and dragging her feet that Leah's day went to hell. "Were it my mom's car?" They had parked near here, hadn't they? "Wait, we did park here didn't we?" Leah looked around and her hands started shaking.

Bella watched as Leah took her bags, she was sure she could have handled it, but didn't ague. It probably wasn't very heavy to her being stronger than the normal human. Bella had gotten a few good books that she couldn't wait to get into when she got home. Of course what she was really looking forward to was seeing Edward again. It had only been a few hours, but she still missed him dearly. It pained her to be away from, but knew it something that couldn't be help. She wanted to spend time down at La Push and ended up going shopping. Bella wasn't to fond of shopping, but had enjoyed it with Leah. She supposed it was a good thing they didn't get along always, but she was a good friend.
Leah had confirmed her previous thought. They had indeed parked here and now it was gone. "I was sure that we did park here," Bella replied. Had the car been stolen, towed? "You don't think someone took it do you?" Bella asked worried looking at Leah. What were they going to do walk the whole way, find another car, track down their car? |

If Leah wasn't real careful she was going to phase right here and now and freak half the people of the town out. Had someone taken her car?! When she found them she was going to KILL someone. Leah hurried over to where she was sure she parked and inhaled deeply. In her human form she couldn't smell things as good but it was enough to confirm this had been where she left the car. "DAMN IT!"
After taking a few deep breaths Leah looked up at Bella. "I don't suppose you have a cell phone on you. You didn't leave it in the car did you?" Leah couldn't phase in the city. If Bella did not have a cell phone she would either have to track her car down, and come back for Bella (which would break her orders), or start walking home and wait until they were clear to phase and get help. If anyone was even in wolf form! She was sure someone would be but anyone with a car? If not how would she get Bella home? Bella was going to to ride her.

Bella followed Leah as she walked to where their car should have been. Bella was sure this is where they had parked as did Leah. Someone must have stolen their car, great. Why did they have to pick their car to steal. There were plenty of other cars of course Bella seemed to always have bad luck a magnet for danger as Edward had often said. She smiled slightly at that, but then frowned knowing this situation was not one to smile in.
Leah asked if she had a cell phone, "Umm, yeah I do," Bella pulled out the silver phone Edward had given her. Leah would probably oppose to calling Edward though he would probably be the fastest. He drove way to fast, a manic is what she thought the first time. She was getting use to it, but it still bothered her. Of course Edward didn't even know she was here, but had probably already figured that out with Alice's help of seeing her future disappear. Bella sighed who knew how much trouble she was going to be in. |

Leah took the phone and then wondered who to call. She tired Sam first then Jacob. No one picked up. Damn it. Damn them! Where were they? Leah sighed and glared over at Bella. Somehow, Leah had the feeling this was her fault. Leah then shook her head knowing that was unfair but really! How much bad luck did that human have?! "No dice." Leah said handing the phone back. "I will try again in a bit, but we should start walking." Letting her voice drop so others couldn't hear. "I don't know how much longer I can contain my temper, we can't stay in full view of people." They needed to get out of town so of Leah lost it, and ripped her clothes she would not either be running in wolf form, or stuck naked.

Bella watched as Leah dialed a few numbers but got no answer. She started walking so Bella followed her. Bella didn't want to walk the whole way back to La Push Edward would be furious when he find out if he hadn't already. Bella looked at the phone in her hand she could call him. "I could try someone," Bella said knowing Leah would object to who she was thinking about.
She was going to be in trouble for sneaking to La Push and going to Port Angeles and she didn't really want to walk the whole way. Bella took a deep breath preparing herself. She bit her lip as she dialed the numbers to Edward's phone. Bella held the phone to her ear nervous knowing how angry Edward was going to be. She knew she wouldn't have to wait long. |

"Who you gonna call?" She asked the a grin broke out on her face. Ghostbusters! She chuckled at her joke and watched Bella dial a number. THAT was it. That was the moment it clicked in her head. "The Lea--" She cut off the insult since people could hear. Leah held her breath and her face turned colors, while she glared at Bella in a way that promised something. Her day just got a hell of allot worse.
"The sun is shining. What is he gonna do?" Leah asked knowing at this point it was to late. The phone was ringing.

Edward was furious, Bella had guessed right, and yes he did know, more or less, where she was. Did she not think he would find out? When he wasn't with her he kept in track with her through Alice, who could see where she was going, when Alice hadn't been able to see her anymore he knew where Bella had gone - La Push, even when he had forbidden her to go there. He was mad, though more afraid for Bella's safety.
In the flash of a second he had picked up the phone, and jumped out to his car "Where are you?" He spoke. Turning the key, the car purred softly, as it was turned on, and he pressed the pedal down racing out of the meadow the Cullen mansion was build in "Have you any idea how worried I have been?!, Bella, you don't sneak away like that!" He spoke to her, his teeth clenched "I don't like you lying to me, Bella you promised you wouldn't go to La Push!" He sighed, keeping on driving.
"Where are you? I'm coming to get you. Who are you with? Are you hurt?" He asked, still angry, though he sound more worried now. He was, to death. He kept on driving and as he awaited for an answer, barely watching the road. If something had happened to Bella he would rip the throat out of that mutt, he swore.

Bella didn't have to wait long before she heard his furious voice. But she was happy even though he was mad to hear his voice. She had missed him, more than she would admit. She hated being away from him, but she wanted to spend time with her friends at La Push to. Worry came back to her mind knowing how angry he was with her, but she could hear the worry as well.
"Edward I'm sorry, I just," Bella paused unsure what to say. She knew she wouldn't calm him down and when he did arrive he would be far from calm she glanced at Leah cautiously. She was upset that she was calling Edward as well. Bella took a deep breath before explaining. "I'm with Leah," Bella answered carefully she was worried what he would say when he found out where exactly where they were and what happened. "We went shopping in Port Angeles. And it appears someone took the car and we can't get a hold of anyone in La Push..." Bella trailed off taking another deep breath preparing for him to yell or something. |

When Bella said 'I'm with Leah', that was Leah's cue to growl. It was a human irritated growl. "Tell him I said hi." She said in a tone the clearly wasn't meant for Bella to really do it. Leah looked around glaring at everyone near by, her hands shaking. This was not helping her 'Don't phase in the city' plan.

Edward stepped harder on the gas pedal, reaching nearly two hundred miles pr. hour, as he listened to what Bella said. Now he almost felt sorry for her, for she truly sound sorry for what she had done. He forgave her, but that didn't mean he still wasn't mad - he was. She had promised him something and she had broken that promise, what did she expect of him to be?
His eyes widened "With Leah?" He asked "Now I almost wished you would have been with Jacob, he would have taken better care of you, I'm sure" He almost growled. He shook his head "I'm sorry, that was rude of me to say" He quickly apologized, continuing to press the gas pedal, finally reaching two hundred miles.
The next thing she told him got him fired completely up "You were trying to call someone from La Push before you tried to call me?" He asked, narrowing his eyes. Now he was just offended. But he guessed he couldn't blame her, she knew he would be mad but he had a good reason didn't he? He sighed "Okay, don't worry, love, I'll come get you. Everything will be fine.. Can you tell me exactly where you are? I'm close to Port Angeles, I'll be there in a few minutes" He said, speaking as calmly as he could manage.

"Leah is able to take care of me," Bella said defending Leah. "She's not that bad," Bella continued. It really hadn't been that bad of a trip they had gotten something to eat some books a few other items. They had an alright conversation though it did get a little touchy at times, but over all she had a good time. But she knew Leah wasn't the easiest person to get along with, but that was just who she was and you couldn't really prevent that. At least he apologies for that, but she knew he was still angry with her and that wasn't helping her to much.
"I thought if you didn't find out we had trouble you wouldn't be as mad," Bella said carefully. She knew he was going to be angry either way but had hoped he wouldn't have found out about this little problem. "But I probably couldn't have kept this from you even if I tried." Bella wasn't the greatest at lying particular with Edward. He would have found out one way or the other what exactly she did while in La Push.
"We're by the bookstore and the park," Bella wasn't sure what street exactly she looked around seeing a few more stores. But the park would be easy to find as well as just spotting the bookstore where they had just come from. "Okay I'll see you soon," Bella said as she hung up.
She looked over at Leah, "He'll be here in a few minutes." Bella knew Leah wasn't to happy about Edward coming to pick them up, but he was the only one that they could get ahold of. Of course he was furious at her, but at least she would see him soon. She didn't care how angry he was she missed him to much to care as long as she saw him. Bella heard thunder and looked up at the sky it started pour raining. And she was drenched in a few seconds Bella tried to find shelter under the roof of the bookstore which wasn't much. |

Leah could hear the phone call from where she stood. Wolf hearing. She wasn't offended bu Edward saying Jake would take better care of Bella. Leah knew it was true. When he said something about calling La Push before him she mouthed a "You call friends before foes, moron." Low enough no one close would be able to hear. When Bella hung up Leah just stood there glaring at her. Then Bella's luck hit harder.
It rained. Damn it. So much for the sun and fun keeping creep-a-zoid in his car. She didn't get out of the rain or even move at all. She just stood there, glaring at the spot Bella had been standing. After a moment, she walked slowly to stand near Bella, not saying a word.

Bella could try and defend Leah as much as she wanted. it wouldn't help anything. Edward stood his ground at not liking Leah - she was obnoxious, he didn't like her attitude. He didn't say anything to Bella about it, he decided to keep quiet about that subject, not wanting to get into a fight about it. He hated fighting with Bella, really he did. He hated being mad at her too, but he couldn't help it.. He had a temper and she knew this, she just shouldn't have gone without telling him. Maybe they could talk about it, they could both make compromises, that was they both would be happy.
He sighed "I'd really wish you wouldn't think you had to hide anything from me Bella, really. I love you, yes I get mad but that's only because I got so worried about you.. You're my life, I can't live without you, when will you ever realize that?" He asked of her, his tone calm. "And you're probably right, I would have found out even if you hadn't called and told me" He answered, rolling his eyes slightly.
"Bookstore, park, got it.. I'll see you soon" He said, hanging up as she did. He slowed down as he drove into town. He tried to sniff out her scent and soon he caught both hers and the wolfs scent. He followed the scent, driving in a somewhat normal speed. It didn't take more then a few seconds before he could see the park Bella had said they were by. Under the roof of a store, which he guessed was the bookstore, he saw two people standing. He immediately recognized them as Bella and Leah.
Parking in front of the store, he stepped out of his silver Volvo and, in the flash of a second, he was by Bella's side, an arm around her waist, pulling her against his side "You're soaking wet, Bella" He murmured leaning down to press a kiss to the top of her head. He was still angry, but he was worried to. They would talk on their way back home. He looked at Leah, motioning for her to get in the car, as he pulled Bella toward the car "Get in, both of you, I'll drive you home" He said, opening the door for Bella.

"I know," Bella said as she listen to Edward. She knew he loved her and she was his life just as much as he was to her. "I love you too. And I'm sorry but you wouldn't have let me go if I had asked," Bella knew that was true. There was no way Edward would willing let her go to La Push and Alice would have seen her the moment she made the decision. She hadn't even thought about and didn't really recall how this whole mess got started, but it was about to end.
Bella's heard raced when she saw the Volvo, he at her side quickly. She would never get over how perfect Edward. She smiled and blushed when he pulled her against his side and kissed the top of her head. "I missed you," Bella said looking up at him. He was still angry she knew, but she was happy just to have him with her again.
Bella looked over at Leah who hadn't said a word yet. She knew she was just as angry if not angrier at her. Her bad luck seemed to be getting worse today. Leah had stayed in the rain until she finally came to stand by her. Bella got into the car as Edward opened it for her and looked at Leah wondering if she would get in without a scene or not. |

Leah just looked at Bella knight in pale creepy skin, and glared. "You can't drive us to La Push, It would break rules." She said moving closer to the car and tossing Bella's heavy things into the back, then standing in the open door way so no one could leave. Leah made a gagging face at the smell. UGH! "You will have to drop Bella and I at the border." She made another gagging face and coughing sound. She was going to KILL Jake for this. K-I-L-L!!

He looked down at Bella, shielding her by bending slightly down over her head. "I know.. I missed you too.. We'll talk about this when we get home" He said, sighing slightly, as he bowed down to press his lips against hers, gently, as she looked up at him. He couldn't seem to stop kissing her, it was like some sort of sickness, but a nice one, one he would never want to be cured of. Plus, he had really been worried, he was happy to have her in his arms again.
Bella got in with no fight, which he was happy of, but Leah just threw the stuff in and kept out. He stopped and starred at her, closing the door after Bella had gotten in. He raised an eyebrow "You and Bella?" That was some nerve that wolf had. She knew he didn't want Bella at La Push so why would she tell him to drop her off at the border with her? "I'm not dropping Bella off.. She's coming back with me" He said, looking at Bella. He knew it was selfish of him to keep her like this, away from her friends, but he had to make sure that she was safe and this meant that she was not to go anywhere without him there to protect her.
"Now, would you get in so we can get going?" He asked of Leah, walking to the other side of the car.

As always when ever Edward kissed her she took advantage of it. She kissed him back forgetting Leah was there for the moment lost in the kiss. She realized she was in public and Leah was there and Edward was going to be a stone in just a few seconds and pull her away gently, but she took advantage of the few seconds she did have.
Just as Bella had expected Leah to make of fuss of things and she did. She had refused to get in and was telling Edward to drive them to the border. Even before Edward said anything she knew he wasn't going to let her go anywhere. Not that Bella mind that much, but she would like to go to La Push again. But knowing after this her chances were slim he was going to be keeping a close eye on her making sure she didn't go there. Bella sighed looking back between Edward and Leah they did not get along not that any of them really got along, but this could be a problem. |

"No, I will not just get in the car. I have-" Her voice dropped lower so strangers would not hear. "-I have orders, not to leave her alone until we are both back in La Push safely. If you not going to let me fulfill them, then I can't let her go." Leah's orders were not ones she could just break. In fact there was a 'no way out' clause. She couldn't leave Bella and the hell she was hanging out with both of them all day until she could get away.

He stopped just as he had opened the door and looked at Leah, narrowing his eyes. She didn't think Bella was safe with him? "What am I, a wall?" He asked, leaning against his car "She's not alone" He said "And I really don't care what kind of orders you got. You can tell Jacob that she's with me and that she's safe, you took good care of her so far, and I'm thankful that you did, but she's with me now and she doesn't need your protection" He said "Jacob will understand, Leah, and you're not breaking any orders.. You did take good care of her, but I refuse to drop her off in La Push.. She's coming back with me and that's final"
He looked at her "And you are going to let her go, this is not up to you Leah.. I'm taking Bella home. Now, will you please get into the car? " If she would continue to refuse he would just drive away without her, he didn't really care. It was her choice, Edward wasn't going to let Bella go to La Push again and she was safe with Edward.. She wasn't safe, wandering around, in La Push when Victoria was still out there. Edward wanted to have Bella close, why didn't anyone understand that?

"You don't want me to answer that." She commented to his 'what am I' question. Then she let him rant it out. Leah could tell this was not going to be a fun filled afternoon. Since he was on the other side of the car (and couldn't do anything fast and Vampire like on a public street) Leah opened Bella's car door, but didn't move to pull her out yet.
"There is no don't follow orders option! It's do, or do. I CAN'T NOT FOLLO---" Dropping her voice, "I can't not follow this order. It's a wolf thing."

Bella listen as Edward and Leah both snapped at each other. She sighed this was not such a good plan, but what else were they suppose to do walk the whole way? There wasn't much she could say they would both probably ignore her anyways. She wanted them to stop auguring and get in the car and drop Leah at La Push or at least try to. Who knows maybe they could come some compromise she could get contact Jacob and get him to meet so he would know she was safe and go back with Edward. That didn't seem like a bad idea, but would they listen to her?
Bella looked at Leah who looked she was about to take her out of the car and take her to La Push herself. She could imagine what Edward would attempt to do. "I'm sure we could come to some sort of compromise," Bella said to both of them. "We could go to the border line contact Jacob so he can see I'm fine then I can go back to Forks with Edward." Belle didn't know if they would even consider her idea or not. |

"It wasn't meant for you to answer" He snapped at her, letting a snarl rip through his throat. Edward nearly lost his control when Leah opened Bella's door - Was she completely stupid?! Was she out of her mind?! He could have done something very stupid. He walked to the other side again, stopping in front of Leah. He was just about to open his mouth and speak when Bella interrupted. He looked down at her.
She was being very clever and he couldn't not listen to her idea. It was a good one, for ones. He looked at Leah "Are you okay with that?" He asked, keeping his voice neutral, not wanting to sound angry. Leah had pissed him off, she really had, he wanted Bella home and was ready to kidnap her if necessary.. He didn't know what he would do if Leah wouldn't agree to the compromise Bella had suggested.

"If you can get him on the phone and there to get me out of my orders, by all means." Her voice held more then an ounce of sarcasm. "In case you forgot, we tired to call him before calling you. Him and Sam, must be in. . . out int he woods." Aka wolf form and phone free. Leah seemed to realize she was being the unreasonable one so she added something at the end to try to help out and be nice. (mostly since she didn't want to hang out with him anymore then she had to. "If you get us out of the city, I can phase and see what they say." Pause, then she thought in her head, 'But if you leave me there and I have to hunt your ass down became of orders, your family will have to glue you together.'

Bella smiled at Edward as he consider her idea. At least he seemed to agree with he looked over at Leah and asked her if she agreed. Bella knew they had tried to get a hold of them before, but maybe the could this time and if that failed Leah could phase and contact them. Either way she knew Edward was not going to let her go back to La Push they would have to find some way to contact them.
Bella looked back at Edward when Leah stopped talking wondering if he would snap at her again as Leah had at him. Leah was at least considering to come to some sort of compromise as Edward had. Maybe her plan would work, of course it was her idea, that since they both appeared to be listening to her for once. |

He was getting impatient, very impatient, what did she want for him to do if she wasn't up for compromising, for God damn sake?! He was not letting Bella back in La Push, he was taking her back with him. But soon enough Leah came to her senses, and she at least tried to be reasonable, which was good - Progress at least. She was still an annoying mutt, a brat, whatever. "See what they say? You will tell Jacob that I'm bringing you to the borderline and then taking Bella home." Edward said. That he was agreeing on. If he knew Jacob he would do anything to get Bella for a minute or two alone.. He wouldn't let that, she was coming back with him and that was final.
"So are we going?" He asked, looking down at Bella to flash her a quick smile, before turning to complete seriousness and looking at Leah with his poker face. He was ready to shut Bella's door as soon as they got to an agreement.
