Please. Help me! The memory of Jane's transformation flashed through her head. She was all alone, not that that mattered much. Jane had been alone much of her life. Well, mostly. She had always had her brother to help her through tough times. But he wasn't here now, he was no where to be found inside the large castle-like building in Volterra.
Please! Jane winced as she allowed her memories to be recalled. A man stood over her, pity expressed plainly on his face. The girl was only of 12 years, and this unbearable pain was heart-yanking to watch. PLEASE! Screamed the girl on the table once more. Jane writhed around in pain, screaming every couple of seconds. All of her bitterness, all of her sour-comments suddenly left her in this wave of pain. How long had this been going on? It had to be days now.
Please! Just kill me now! Please, thought the girl. The same word rolled off Jane's lips now, in a hushed whisper. The man had refused, and just continued to watch. Did he enjoy her pain? Was he some type of physco? And where the heck was she? Many different questions, yet to be answered, rolled through the fighting, pain-ridden girl. OF course, Jane knew them all now, and why the man had refused. He thought her 'special'.
Slowly, the scene sped up, and Jane's horrified writhing dulled to an ebbing twitch. And then, the pain disappeared all together. The new girl opened her eyes for the first time, observing her surrounds for the first time. Her throat burned as if it were on fire, never to be completely satisfied. Jane had clutched her neck immediately, and looked at the only man in the room pleedingly. He had lead her out of the room to her new life which she lived now. Jane's violent twitching had passed from memory to reality, and the young girl found herself twitching. It was a good thing she was alone, or someone would have surely thought something was wrong with her.
Quickly slapping herself back to reality, Jane swung her legs off the side of the couch, a disturbing, unreadable expression on her face. She had just relived her most treasured nightmare, and she didn't know how to feel about it. One thing was for sure though. That was deffinately A Past Request Regretted.

Aro walked down one of the many hallways he was graceful as he walked. He had a smile on his face as he usually did. He was in a bright mood today, Marcu and Caius were else where in their large 'home.' He was on his way to pay Jane a visit, he passed a few of the guards as he walked through the large hallways. They bowed in acknowledgment he simply smiled at them.
Aro saw Jane and smiled as he found her. "Jane my dear," Aro replied happy as always. It had seemed like a while since he had last spoken to her. He saw her disturbed face and was curious. He held out her hand he preferred to use his power to understand what others where thinking. "It's seems so long ago since we last spoken!"

Jane raised her eyes from the ground to see Aro walking towards her. A smile tugged at the ends of her lips. Jane my dear, he said. Jane's disturbed expression quickly disappeared with a respectful smile. "Yes?" she said, happy to have some company she liked, other than her horrid memories. It's seems so long ago since we last spoken! Jane nodded, it had been a while. Where had she been for the past week, under a rock? She certainly hadn't been with Aro, that's for sure.
But no amount of quickness could make Aro miss the disturbance on her face previously. Reluctantly, Jane placed her palm ontop of his, letting him see her hidden emotions of regret for ever asking that of him. Letting him relive her transformation through her eyes. All the while, Jane went still, staring at his face blankly.

Aro saw her memory the same one he had seen before. Her pleading for death, pleading to be relieved of this pain. Him standing by her watching her wither in pain. She regretted asking for death. Aro smiled at her "Ah, regretting your request for death. If I had given it to you child, you would not be here now. See how splendid things do turn out?" Aro asked. Yes things would certainly been different if he had give Jane's pleas for death. But she was indeed 'special' her power so powerful, that's why he seeked both her and her twin brother out.
"Even though they had seemed bad for a while, they will always turn out for the better," yes some things he had to just simply end. Like his sister's life for Marcus sake after all he was planning on leaving him, he could not have that. And he has stayed loyal to him and stayed right where he will for all time. Aro let go of Jane's hand, having seen enough of her thoughts for the time being.

"Very splendid." responded Jane. He was right of course, she had only wanted death because of the pain. She hadn't really thought of anything else at that point. She was glad Aro didn't kill her. When Aro continued, it was something Jane didn't understand. "What do you mean?" said Jane's curious voice. It was actually very pleasent, Jane and her voice, when she wasn't giving you a dirty look, or using her voice in a cryptic and ghostly manner.

"Small sacrifices my dear," Aro replied still cheerful in his response. "You humanity was a small price was it not? And those vampires that get close to revealing the secret they too much be ridden of? Just a few small sacrifices we make to ensure out way of life," Aro continued to smile at Jane. One of his most beloved guard her and her brother, Alec. They had such potential as a human and now look at what they are, simply marvelous!

"It was not." Understanding was layered in Jane's small child-like voice. "Small sacrifices." Jane repeated, agreeing at the same time. "So have you seen Alec lately?" Jane asked causally, but still with respect. She was worried about him, he had been no where to be found, especially when she needed him. Aro had to comfort her, and that was not his job. Alec and Aro were the only two Jane really cared about, and showed any form of love for, and therefore when she could not find one, it worried her.

"I'm afraid not my dear one," Aro replied. He didn't keep track of where all his guard where at, though those that he wanted to keep, those that were 'special' he wanted to make sure they were still loyal. That was one of the reasons he would come visit them, like today, right now. He came to check on Jane see where her thoughts were. That was how he found out about Marcus planning on leaving him, which he would not allow. He had to keep track, to ensure he would remain on top, that he would have the best, he wouldn't have anything less than that.

Jane was disappointed, yes, but she was more after something to keep Aro here. Something to spark a conversation, since it was obvious she could spirl back to her human, horrible memories if left alone to dwell yet again. "Oh." Jane said, voicing her thoughts. "Are you doing anything today?" Jane had to resist the temptation to call him 'master' or something else simular to this, but she was able to push it aside. If he wished her to call him something of the sort, she would, of course, but Jane had very recently felt their relationship rather casual, but still with great respect and loyalty. He hadn't seemed to say anything about it.. but...
Jane continued her thoughts, forgetting Aro's apparent fondness to just read her mind instead. "I mean.. I know you must be busy." There was a hint of humor in her voice. "But is there anything interesting going on?" It had seemed lately, Volterra and the rest of the Vampire race had come to an era of peace after the fake 'immortal child' epic.

"I don't really have much planned, my dear." Aro really didn't have much to do. There wasn't much going on in the vampire world, no vampires to handle that have gone mad, or trying to give away their secret.
Aro preferred to read thoughts instead of have someone speak to him, but he listened to Jane and allow her to talk as she wanted.

Jane was disappointed. There hadn't been much going on lately, she knew that, but she was hoping something new had come up. It was sort of boring around here without something to do. "Wow." she said, rather to herself than to Aro. Wow, indeed. Jane's mind began racing, desperate to find something to do, anything to keep her from dwelling on past memories again.
She sighed.

Aro could see the disappointment that Jane had. Yes things had been rather boring as of recent. He was sure there was something bound to happen soon. A vampire gone crazy with immortality. Or perhaps a vampire that began giving to much information to the humans, that happened every couple of years it was about time for something to happen. "Ah, my dear Jane you seemed troubled."
